Reviewed Jun 16, 2025The pool is amazing! Rooms were updated. I had issues with the internet in my room, but front desk guy Suchin fixed me right up. He was great in helping me order the aiport shuttle and extend my stay. He was very calming during my situation. My room had some hair on the table that was not mine and there was a ceiling light that was blinking cause it was going out. Reported it to Suchin. Restaurant was ok, ordered the fruit platter and onion soup twice. Nice to have room service.

Dette samsvarer ikke med den reelle plasseringen, så vi måtte få transport til flyplassen, noe hotellet tok veldig godt betalt for. Så følte meg nok litt lurt der. Ellers ett rent og pent hotell som er et flott alternativ med et flott uteområde.

Cons: - Took some time for the check in as my booking was not in the list. However appreciate that the staff did all possible to help find. - A few mosquitoes in the room. Mosquito repellent is a must. - Centralised aircon. Overall, it is good enough for an overnight stay from a late arrival flight.

Friendly staff, good buffet breakfast available for 2200LKR, big comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom, lovely shower, super convenient for the airport - within walking distance but a busy road between hotel and airport so wouldn't recommend walking. Hotel provided a shuttle bus service for 2500LKR. Would stay here again.

Reviewed Feb 5, 2024This is a great place to stay if you’re spending an overnight at the airport. Very good rooms, clean and close to the airport. Not much around the area though. Staff very good too and you can’t beat the price. Only thing to careful of is at the airport taxi stand it seems to draw others who want to put your luggage in the taxi and then open the door for you and expect a tip. Lots of them around the airport taxi stands including those with stands inside the airport. Two guys harassed us for tips just because they opened the taxi door for us. This has nothing to do with the Good Wood Airport Hotel.

Reviewed Dec 27, 2023I liked the layout and decor of the hotel. The rooms were spacious with a balcony overlooking a large, green space. The lication is minutes away from the airport. As for disappointments, twice the reception didn’t do as they said they would. I finally went to get the adaptor from the front desk, and a clerk never got back to me about internet connection. I waited for more than the hour he promised to get back to me. I just gave up as I had an early plane to catch. However, I would stay there again, especially if I have an early plane to catch.

If you're in need of an inexpensive place to stay near the airport for a brief period of time, this hotel could suffice.
