Crazy Bear was more than just a hostel, it really felt like a place I’d known for a long time. There’s so much I could mention, but I really loved how clean the rooms were and the night events like karaoke, trivia, and card games. They’re such a great way to meet people, especially if you’re traveling solo. They also rent scooters and organize fun activities like canyoneering and other things to do around Moalboal, which makes it really easy to explore the area. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Chim, she’s the perfect host. super friendly, helpful, and really down to earth. All the other staff were amazing too.

The only thing I’d say is the shower pressure could be better, and maybe having extra towels for longer stays would be great.

الغرفة خاصة، لكن الحمام مشترك، وهذا غير موضح بشكل واضح في الحجز. كذلك البطانية صغيرة جدًا ولا تكفي حتى لشخص واحد. حجزت سرير كوين لشخصين، ومع ذلك أعطوني بطانية واحدة صغيرة، ومع تشغيل المكيف كنت أشعر بالبرد الشديد ولم أستطع النوم بشكل مريح. أتمنى توفير بطانيات مناسبة وتوضيح أن الحمام مشترك في وصف الحجز.

Really nice hostel. Comfy beds, two pillows per bed with outlet, lamp and curtain. The social area was nice and the staff were great organising events. Great water fountain that gave really cold water! Good selection of games in the bar area too. We liked the group chat as well. We never had to wait for the showers or toilets either which was good. They prioritised putting people in the same room to increase the socialising which was nice. They didn’t mind us moving beds either when requested They stored our luggage for us when we had checked out until we left

The bamboo showers were so nice but 2/3 showers needed better water pressure There was a power cut both days we were there which left the rooms boiling as the air con didn’t work. I know the staff aren’t to blame for this. During the stay I asked to move beds from a top to a bottom which the staff said was ok. I said I was going out for a couple hours and asked if that was okay and if we could do it when I got back. When I got back I asked if it was okay to do it then and they said they had already done it for me. This shocked me a bit as I had many personal items in the bed and they had a male staff member move them all. I expressed how I felt and they apologised for this but nothing else was done.

Es war sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Gibt gratis Auffüllwasser und einen schönen Gemeinschaftsbereich. Die Zimmer sind gross und sauber. Das Personal am Nachmittag war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gibt eine Wäscheleine um die Kleider zu trocknen.

Out of all the hostels I've been to, this one is one of the very few that now has a special place in my heart, perhaps even top 2. The people there are really special, both the very sweet staff and guests. It makes the whole stay experience ten times better, enough that it made me extend my stay and tempted me to do it more had time allowed it.

The daily activities are super fun and make it so easy to meet people. I made a lot of new friends here! The staff are friendly, helpful, and love joining in on the fun. The bar has a really homey vibe with great food. The bunk beds are equipped with handy bedside lamps, the AC works well, and having a dedicated place to hang wet clothes was a huge plus.

The bed sagged a bit in the middle while sleeping. Additionally, the shower room needed better cleaning, as there was hair and leftover sachet wrappers left behind from previous days. The curtain in the dorm was a bit see through if your bunk light is on and the room's light is off.

Lovely hostel, one of our favourites in the Philippines so far. Excellent staff and very helpful, location is top notch. Very sociable with events every evening without being a party hub, made some great friends here!

Excellent location, price and atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and I had no issues at all. There were activities every night at the bar (Trivia, Bingo, Karaoke, etc) that brought all travellers together. JR, the main organizer of the events and also the resident bartender was just awesome. And thanks a lot to the people at reception (Paula, Cindy and the rest whose name I can't remember) for making me feel at home. I will definitely stay here if I ever return to Moalboal.

The facilities were always clean and the staff were very friendly and approachable. It was very easy to book activities at the front desk. The bar out the back was great for meeting people.

The staff were amazing, they were super friendly and welcoming and made an effort to get you involved in hostel activities and were happy to chat and give recommendations for moalboal and beyond. The overall vibe of staff and guests was amazing, particularly as it is a small hostel so you meet other guests pretty quickly and soon become family. The hostel were super helpful in providing taxis to the airport and also the Osmena peak hike. The activities ran by the reps during the evening were super fun, without being too heavily focused on drinking so great for all vibes.

The sheets on the bed had a few stains on as we checked in, but these were quickly changed to fresher sheets.

Amazing staffs, amazing booking service. Bath room are shared even with separate room, but it’s closed by, shower and toilet are separate and clean. They help us book a ride from cebu city to moalboard and from moal board to airport with a very good price. Their kawasan fall tour has a good price as well. It was an accident that we booked this place but it turned out to be a blessing.

We hadden 3 nachten geboekt. maar zijn er uiteindelijk 5 gebleven. We hadden de 2 persoonskamer. Schone nettte, mooie kamer. Personeel is fantastisch. Zeer behulpzaam. Ze regelen alles voor je. Midden in het centrum. Ik zou hier zeker weer boeken.

We hadden een private room. En we hadden 2 dagen geen water. Wc kon niet doorspoelen, noch konden we douche. Beetje schandalig. Gezien de dorms wel water hadden en we daar moesten douche

The staff were very helpful, with helping me book canyoneering and a taxi back to the airport! The beds were comfy & the hangout space was social!

No locks in the rooms and ac in rooms were either 17 degrees or no ac in our room

Ruidoso, hubo mucho ruido las dos primeras noches y recepción no hizo mucho por apaciguarlo. Las otras dos siguientes fueron tranquilas pero solo porque el grupo que hacía ruido ya hizo el check out.

There was always a staff member around to give advice or help out. The hostel hosts nightly activities like Trivia Night, Karaoke, Games night. These make it easier to meet people and get out of your shell!

Someone took my towel on the last night and that's the only negative I have.

Everything is worth it I stay 2 times in a month here and I’ll be back again

Das Personal war extrem freundlich und aufmerksam besonders die Rezeptionistin Carya, der Barkeeper Sam und die Barista Evelyn sind hervorgestochen mit ihrer offen Art und Professionalität. Ich komme gerne jederzeit wieder und bringe meine Freunde mit. Weil sich Zuhause zu fühlen liegt am meisten an den Menschen und da ist das Crazy Bears echt besonders.

Super social hostel. It's a perfect place for solo travellers when they want to meet nice people. There is always something happening in the evening, but I can say that it's not noisy there in the evening. Also you can use so many offers for the trips with the hostel - canoeing, sardine run, whale sharks,...

Perfect location close to the main street of Moalboal and all the good restaurants. The place is cosy and well taken care of. While it was a bit noisy at night versus what we had anticipated (hostel style), we were kindly upgraded to a room that was more quiet. Thank you !

The size of the rooms

Nice little private room with ample storage and air conditioning with remote. No private bathroom or shower for private rooms but the public ones are kept clean and the hot water was always working.

Bring ear plugs as there are roosters close to the rooms that will wake you up.

I really enjoyed my stay! What stood out the most were the incredibly friendly staff. A special thank you to Sherry and Audrey at the reception – they were always helpful and kind. And of course, Ronald, the social media manager, deserves a special mention. He’s always friendly, extremely kind, and truly the face of the property. Thank you all for making my stay so pleasant!

What a great experience at Crazy Bears. One of the best hostel I've ever been. The stuff is so funny and kind, I loved Audrey at the reception, she really took care of me. Also the owner, Sam, Ronald, Bryan, what beautiful souls! It's one of the few places where I really felt home. Thank you for the unforgettable time Bears!!

One of the staff is half Indian. Shes not that approachable compared to others. I guess she needs to know that she needs to approach everyone else with fairness and a good heart.

The location is okay, a short walk from the centre. We were in the private room and I liked it, the beds were comfortable and we had aircon.

The bathrooms are AWFUL. They aren’t clean, some facilities are broken, the shower doors and made of bamboo and have gaps so there isn’t privacy. The bathrooms also face onto the restaurant which felt uncomfortable. Trying to wash your hair after a day at the beach is impossible with the water pressure.

Such an amazing place with comfortable rooms and the most helpful staff! They really went out of their way to assist us—not only arranging our airport transfers to and from Cebu City but also helping us get back some things we had forgotten. The trips they organized, like whale shark snorkeling in Oslob and canyoneering at Kawasan Falls, were so well-planned and absolutely unforgettable. Highly recommend this place for a hassle-free and memorable stay!

Breakfast can be improved as for the same price, you can have a nice one in one of the nearby restaurants with fresh juice and good bread The AC was freezing in the room. I had to sleep with a coat.
