Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Taimana Boutique Motel is a charming place to stay. It is spacious, airy & stylish. It has a modern bathroom & very comfortable bed. The location is perfect, next to cafés & an easy walk to the Lyttelton ferry. Ann & Rodney were great hosts, even turning on lights & heating for our evening arrival. We enjoyed our stay & would like to stay again.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026The place was really spacious and modern. There were board games and books if we wanted to read. A clean and modern bathroom and kitchenette. The bed was super comfy which was nice. Our hosts were really accomodating and I'm looking forward to heading back there at some stage. I highly recommend it if you're after a quiet time away.

Most comfortale soft bed🥰 Thank you for leaving board games and playing cards, we had a heap of laughs. Best fish n chips 4mins back down the road 10/10

Reviewed Jan 27, 2026This accommodation has truly spoilt us, it's very difficult to beat, such a beautiful view. You could just sit on the veranda all day. Bed extremely comfortable. Such a well equipped kitchen. Bedding beautiful quality. Very close to an amazing coffee shop. We will return, we were so relaxed as absolutely quiet, wonderful spot. The bathroom was sheer luxury too. Owners incredibly kind.

Reviewed Jan 12, 2026A spacious and very clean and tidy room with everything we needed for a short stay. What was most impressive was the location - in a quiet picturesque village atmosphere, with lovely walks, and a view over the water from the veranda where we played Chinese checkers as the sun set. The hill view out the back was equally picturesque, as was the drive to get there. There is a great little coffee shop right next door (with quiche and croissants for breakfast), and a bar and eatery for dinner as well (we recommend the lamb curry and salmon salad). If we knew how nice this spot was, we would have stayed more than just the one night so we could explore the area. Next time!
There was nothing to dislike about this as a place to stay.

Reviewed Jan 9, 2026We loved our room and enjoyed our stay, owners are lovely people. The bathroom was amazing, the bed was massive and comfortable. We made the most of the walk tracks close by and the beaches. Room is right next to a great cafe and a restaurant.
We couldn't really fault much we enjoyed our stay.

The room was perfect the bed was amazing so comfortable, shower was great nice wee kitchenette. The owners were amazing very welcoming we would definitely be coming back thank you so very much.
There was nothing really apart from both of us having disabilities found it hard to walk up and down the hills.

Die Lage ist perfekt, man kann einen der vielen Küstenwanderungen machen, die Fähre nach Lyttleton nehmen oder einfach auf der Terrasse vor der Unterkunft chillen. Falls es Fragen gibt, die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit und schnell erreichbar. Definitiv eine Empfehlung.
