From Malaysia We stayed at Why Not Houseboat for one night and had a really good experience. The houseboat stops cruising at around 6 PM. After that, you can explore the nearby village on foot or take an auto-rickshaw to Alleppey Beach for approximately ₹350. The food portions were very generous! Lunch and dinner were more than enough for 3–4 people, and breakfast was good too. 💯 Since it's a private houseboat, we enjoyed our privacy. The chef stayed on board throughout the night for our safety. The captain was with us from the start of the trip until 6 PM and returned the next morning at around 7:30 AM. Overall, a good, decent and comfortable stay. Definitely worth considering for an overnight houseboat experience in Alleppey Please bring mosquito oil 🦟 or spray to apply on your skins
We had an amazing one-night stay on this houseboat with my family. It was truly a wonderful experience. Everyone on the houseboat was kind and welcoming. The owner, the entire team, and all the staff treated us with great warmth and respect. The room was very clean, and everything on the bed was fresh and new. The food was absolutely delicious. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all served on time, and every meal was excellent. I would highly recommend this houseboat to anyone planning to stay on a houseboat in Kerala. It is one of the best experiences we have had. We will definitely come back again and stay for two or three more days. I would like to sincerely thank everyone for their outstanding hospitality. I am truly grateful for the wonderful care and kindness you showed us. Thank you so much, everyone!

Breakfast was good. Served up on the to deck.
Nothing everything was perfect
The boat was fantastic with two sun sleeping decks and two undercover decks, it was super clean and the staff were amazing. The food was delicious!

Lovely houseboat, the driver and the chef were lovely and we had some delicious traditional kerelan food. The waterways are beautiful.
We loved the boat, it would have been helpful to have received further information about what the trip involved prior to arriving as we hadn’t realised we would be on the the boat the entire time.
We had a truly unique and relaxing experience staying one night on this private houseboat. Having the entire boat to ourselves made it feel very special and peaceful. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. A special highlight was the chef, who prepared a variety of delicious local dishes for us. The freshly prepared fish was especially outstanding and a real treat. Spending the day and morning cruising through the backwaters was absolutely beautiful and very calming. The boat itself was well-designed, with comfortable lounge areas that made it easy to sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery.
Beautiful night stay on the Alleppey backwaters with amazing service and very tasty food. Me and my husband have tricky diets (no dairy, no gluten, no seafood) but they fed us very well !!!
There were a couple of upsells which we didn’t know about-like taking a boat along the smaller canals at night and going to shop where they probably get a kickback-not detrimental over all but be aware. Also-I was asked for money for the food in cash at the front which had never been communicated with me-neither the amount or that it needed to be in cash. So def ask so you have enough cash at the start!
Why not houseboat was one of my all time favorite travel experiences. The staff were lovely and the small boat tour was a highlight.
Having now seen the rest of the vessels in the area I think we had the best, most comfortable, boat
The boat was clean and in great condition, especially compared to others on the dock.
The best houseboat we saw in our 2 day trip , such a fabulous couple of days of pure luxury and indulgence! Our captain and chef were the best and totally spoilt us. Vineesh took great pride in his boats and looking after his guests, definitely worth going 2 nights as takes you away from the throng of day trippers from allepey , and being the only guests on the boat made it even more personal.
Crowds of boats nearing Alleppey !
Great houseboat - the upstairs deck is great as you can sit at either the front or back and watch the world float by. Better layout than most boats we saw. Crew were excellent and the food was fantastic and so much. Highly recommended!
Nothing - it’s a great choice.
We happened to have our 2 day trip with some friends who booked late which made the trip extra special. I would recommend the 2 days as we were able to go further into the lakes and our first night was magical. Second day we were taken on a canoe trip into the smaller canals which again was truly special. Birdlife was incredible, food was delicious and plentiful. Staff were lovely friendly and v attentive.
Nothing at all
Great staff, great food, peaceful and a quality experience, thankyou
Fantastic service, quality boat. Felt very spoiled.

Our houseboat was clearly the nicest one on the water. The roof weaving was very intricate, the lounge area was spacious and had beautiful furniture, the room and amenities were lovely. Our captain Sujeesh was incredible - friendly, helpful, very skilled in driving the boat. We had a fun stop at a fish market and took a small boat through the narrower canals at golden hour. The chef was amazing, it was a huge feast every time, and we loved the vegetables at lunch and the shrimp at dinner the most. It was a highlight of our trip, we wish we stayed longer.
The boat was clean and well furnished. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Lovely upper deck for dining and viewing, with nice seating area. All very comfortable The 3 staff on board were great and very helpful and took care of everything. We stopped at some of the little villages along the way and were able to get off and sight see. Lots of beautiful birds on the water Our chef made delicious meals, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner
Nothing it was all good
Très agréable expérience au fil de l'eau .. équipage charmant et aux petits soins Nous avons très bien mangé et la petite sortie barque dans les canaux était appréciable
There is nothing to not like. The boat was amazing, the food sensational and the staff delightful. We did the two night cruise and would highly recommend. There is a fridge on board for your drinks. Was so relaxing after a few hectic weeks in India. Couple of things. You need to pay cash. You will be charged 2,000 RUP per couple for food if you don't supply it yourself. The cook does all the work. You can bring your own drinks on board.
Nothing
The Houseboat was very clean and very comfortable. The staff was very nice and the food was delicious as well. Overall it was an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend the Why Not Houseboat 😊
An Unforgettable Houseboat Experience! Our stay on the houseboat was nothing short of magical. The boat itself was luxurious, well-maintained, and equipped with modern amenities, making our stay incredibly comfortable. The crew were warm, friendly, and attentive, always ensuring our needs were met with a smile. A special highlight was stopping for a relaxing massage and buying fresh fish, which was later prepared for us onboard—absolutely delicious! Cruising through the serene backwaters offered breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere that was perfect for unwinding. The sunset cruises were especially memorable and relaxing. We wholeheartedly recommend this houseboat experience to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a deep connection with nature. It's the perfect getaway to relax and recharge. Will definitely be back!

Whaou super ! Magnifique bateau. L'équipage aux petits soins. Très bonne nourriture... Les chambres sont bien agencées et décorées... Je recommande !
Breakfast, lunch and dinner were exceptional.
More information needed to be given on where we were sailing and speaking english.
Very clean and comfortable stay...

Lovely people and very nice boat. It’s relatively simple but clean and great service. The food is amazing.
A wonderful one night stay on the why not 1 houseboat! The crew were fantastic and catered for our every need - so caring! The food was incredible. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting a houseboat 😃
Exceptional Service Very beautifully furnished interiors and upper deck. The panoramic view from the upper deck was really amazing.

Everything - the boat was amazing, spotlessly clean, all toiletries provided. The staff Bennett, Damien and the wonderful Captain were there for our every need, totally spoiled, provided everything we required. The food was outstanding. We stopped at the fish market and purchased prawns for Dinner. Damien is an excellent cook and all the food, lunch, dinner and breakfast - amazing! The accommodation - more than we expected - like a top class Hotel! A great big thankyou to the Captain, Damien and Bennett! Would highly recommend Why Not Houseboat!
Liked everything.
Our houseboat trip was the highlight of our holiday in Kerala. I would recommend a two night houseboat stay to anyone planning their visit and specifically the ‘Why Not’ houseboats. We were fortunate enough to get an entire houseboat to ourselves (1 couple) and spent two nights aboard, cruising along the backwaters. The staff aboard were amazing - all very friendly, accommodating and respectful of our privacy, and spoke English to a good level. The room was clean, well equipped and overnight AC was available in the rooms as well for a comfortable nights sleep. Compared to other houseboats I saw on the backwaters, ‘Why Not’ is unique in the upper decking area it provides with a focus on lots of comfortable seating, open sides for a comfortable breeze to pass through and two lounging areas that are open to the sky - ideal for sunbathing, reading, relaxing etc. Majority of other houseboats I saw did not have the same facilities (closed, covered areas with tables/chairs). We did a round trip along quiet routes staying at different locations along the backwaters each night, eventually returning to the starting point on the morning of checkout. Amazing way to see Kerala backwaters! The food was standout. A literal feast of local cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner, prepared on board and served to you on the upper decking whilst cruising along. We had some of the best seafood of the trip on the houseboat. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing stay!
Very helpful crew. Nice boat with high end facilities.
The water for bathroom was salty. Felt a bit awkward.
Absolutely fantastic stay - staff were brilliant, food was delicious (and very accommodating for the vegetarians), option of early morning boat ride down the backwaters and massage were well worth it - staff went out of there way to make it a trip to remember for all of us, couldn’t recommend highly enough!
It was all brilliant
Nice Tour, tasty food, awesome Boat with sunbed to relax, friendly staff, Pictures are realistic
No conditioner, AC Just at night, Bit to early Check Out time
Nice staff, really good experience
This was an exceptional experience and one of the favourite parts of our trips. The team made us feel very cared for - we felt like VIPs. Food was amazing! And plenty to go around. The boat itself was also amazing.
All was good!
The boat trip on whynot houseboat was an immense experience. The entire atmosphere inside the house boat was wonderful. From the moment we start the cruise the staffs were friendly and very loyal to us. The food they preaperd for us had less spicy than we expected and also there were plethora of dishes had been servered on the table. The boat was well maintained and clean, I don't think so whether I can found an another boat with this much facilities and services. They were using filtered water for all the purpose on their portfolio of boats. Whynot houseboat takes us to the mesmerizing scenic views which can be experienced on the backwaters. The boat Manager dealings and the services provided by the staff's were do nice. The boat sail through the alleppey backwater On a silent atmosphere without any rush and we cannot even hear any noise came our from the engine. On Recapitulating I would suggest "Why?Not" tourists who is looking for a houseboat in alleppey. Thank you Vineeth & Teams for your serving the best experience in Alleppey.
Nothing
We booked the boat for 1 night trip. But when we arrived the manager of the boat suggested 2 night trip And we decided to go 2 night trip.it was the right decision as on the 2nd day they took us to most beautiful places on the backwaters through smaller canals and silent places. The view is amazing the food was excellent in India all the hotel's provide spicy food but in the houseboat they provide very less spicy food .The crew was very helpful Highly recommended for 2 night trip
The boat was very nice
There was no hot water the room was not serviced the captain went to see a friend the first night and we didn’t leave till 10.30 the next day we did not go on any excursions the whole trip so never got off the boat there was no refrigerator on the boat just an ice box so in that heat by the second day the ice I got for my partner’s drinks was all melted and I ended up with a stomach bug
The boat and crew were great. The cook excellent
The area is overcrowded with too many boats emitting diesel emissions The boats travel in a long line..almost a traffic jam and the air stinks of dangerous diesel particulate I would not recommend this trip but the boat itself was good.
Lots of spacious seating areas. We are on ‘Why Not II’ which has three double bedrooms. Myself and my daughter had one and there was also a solo traveller with us. Even if all three rooms were taken there is plenty of space without getting in each others way. Really liked the top deck where all meals were served as well as two open air day beds the width of the boat ie space easily for four each end. Some boats are enclosed and we wouldn’t have liked that. The staff were amazing! (Sorry for the spelling but…) we had Cochimon as chef, Vijay captain and Babu to help with all our needs. The food was AMAZING! And so much of it. We bought fresh prawns from the riverside and whilst it was fun and Cochimon cooked them beautifully, it wasn’t really necessary due to the quantity of food supplied. We stayed for two nights and I’m so glad we did. We went further into the backwaters where the river is so much quieter and you feel you’re getting a more authentic experience. The main areas I presume one nights sailing would get to is very busy. We took the opportunity to go out in smaller boat for sunset the first night which goes down the more narrow canals Great time Fun boatman who pointed out lots and insisted on taking photos of us with the sunset. Great memories and fun photos This boat was more expensive than others but the reviews were so good we went with it thinking the price was for breakfast only. In fact all meals were included which makes it much better value for money than it appears
It’s been said before about air con only being turned on for the night time. This is true however there is a ceiling fan and a breeze off the water whilst the boat is moving. We were also bitten by mosquitoes but that’s only to be expected on the water. If you’re bothered just remember to pack deet etc
“Why Not 2” was our houseboat. It was a really lovely boat and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The beds in both cabins were very comfortable and each night we were moored at a quiet place on the water so we slept very well. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Food was great and there was SO much presented to us. Even in between all 3 meals we were offered tea, snacks and juices. There were opportunities to visit a local fish market, to have massages or to book a small boat to take us into some of the smaller canals but we passed on the offers as none of these were of interest to us.
The air conditioning was switched on routinely from 9pm to 8am and outside of those hours if you needed it you could ask for the generator to be switched on. I think it would be good to make it available to guests as a matter of routine, so that they could access it when they liked. Wi-Fi wasn’t the best, but we were able to access emails and WhatsApp most of the time.
Review of a Houseboat Stay in the Backwaters of South India: We had an amazing night on a large private houseboat with three of us and three staff members. The meals were absolutely delicious, especially the fresh crab and prawns served for dinner. The price was very reasonable for such a unique experience. The trip also included a peaceful excursion on a smaller boat through nearby villages, which added a charming touch to the journey. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the region!
RAS
The experience far exceeded our expectations - it was simply incredible. We met our crew on arrival (captain, two chefs and service provider), all of who were lovely. The boat itself was only 5 days old and very luxurious, from the dining room, to the bathrooms and bedrooms. What truly makes this boat special though, and sets it apart from other house boats, is the unique top deck. The top deck had comfy furniture and areas to sit in the sun or in the shade. The design allows the airflow to keep you cool as the boat sailed. We opted for 3 days, 2 nights and were glad we did so. This allowed us to sail down quieter backwaters on the second day and to see local life as we went past (most house boats that do just one night take the same busy route). The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful, much of it Keralan cuisine. You won't regret booking with Why Not, we considered it excellent value and a truly special experience. We can wholeheartedly recommend.
There really wasn't anything we didn't like about the experience other than that there was no wifi on board. We had high expectations but they were surpassed.
The highlight of our trip to Kerala! We went on the houseboat for New Years Eve and it was so special, the staff even had a cake to celebrate! The houseboat was pristine and new, with traditional real bamboo thatching and the benefit of a terrace at the top for relaxing. Looking around the other boats we were very very pleased to hve chosen this houseboat. The bedroom and bathroom were amazing and so clean, with a huge window to watch the world go by. The food was fantastic, we ate like kings everyday! The team on the boat was exceptional, cooking delicious meals, bringing snacks and tea, organising extra little trips… We recommend doing the motor canoe trip through the villages and smaller canals in the evening as the sun sets. The boat travels along the backwaters and also out onto the lake, so you see a good deal of the area. It also stops on the way at a small quayside, where you can get drinks/snacks/fish if you want or a massage. What was also great is that they moored up for the evening in a more secluded spot, so you felt that you were getting away from the hordes of other bigger boats. Highly recommend- worth the price.
We had a really magical time. It was amazing to tour on the backwaters and see the sights whilst being fed extraordinarily well (!) The terrace area was perfect. You could catch sun and shade on both sides . The staff were so kind . We forgot to tell them we were vegetarians in advance (would advise messaging in advance if you are ) but they accommodated us amazingly .
We had a truly perfect stay cruising around the backwaters for 1 night. The food is amazing and plentiful and the boat is just as in the pictures.. immaculate and large incredibly comfy seating areas to watch the world go by… highly recommend
Relaxed atmosphere onboard with a friendly crew. the boat was very clean and prepared to a high standard.
Nothing
Boat was clean, comfortable and had everything needed for a couple/small family. Loved the food! I would recommend this boat stay!
Everything was perfect!
We had an amazing stay on the houseboat. The boat was lovely and just like the pictures. The staff was very attentive and super friendly. The food was lovely, mix of kerala food and western. We saw beautiful sceneries and had a very peaceful night and a tour in a smaller boat in the morning. Would 100% recommend, must stay or as they say why not!?
We did a 1 day boat adventure and the experience was remarkable. Amazing facilities, the boat was exclusive for us and the staff was very friendly. Manish was very attentive and had a genuine smile. The boat tour was so relaxing and the food delicious. We have visited the fish market and went for an authentic Ayurvedic massage. I would definitely repeat the experience.
Fantastic experience overall.
Everything was great! Definitely would recommend and rebook in future.
We spent 2 unforgettable nights on the whynot houseboat. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring our stay was seamless. The houseboat was immaculate, with modern amenities and comfortable beds.the spacious upper deck offered breathtaking views of the surrounding backwaters 10/10 would recommend "
The staff were lovely!! Suresh & Prince did an amazing job. The bedroom was cool at night with the fan & aircon working perfectly. The food was amazing and the portion sizes were plentiful. Would highly recommend this boat to other travellers for an overnight stay.
Not much not to like however a few things to point out when on the boat: - you can’t pay in credit / debit card. So we had to go to an ATM in Alleppey to pay in cash for the boat stay. Be prepared to bring some cash! - They also charge extra to pick the fish of choice for the evening; our choice of prawns cost around 900 Rupees on top of the booking Overall an incredible stay and high recommendations from myself & my girlfriend!
Incredible staff who are there to help and assist you during your stay. The amazing food was all prepared for us and tasted great! Comfortable bed and pillows. Comfortable outdoor seating options where you could sit and watch the world go by. Would totally book again and would highly recommend!
Would have been nice to have an introduction to the crew when we first got on board the boat and maybe a little bit of history of the back waters and how things work on the boat (light switches, shower etc.) Air con stopped working halfway through the night and the ceiling fan made a bit of noise. The big chairs on the boat are lovely but they are quite big and bulky and it reduces tons of space.
Houseboat very nice with great lounge area upstairs perfect for relaxing and watching the backwaters go by. Food was excellent throughout, with very attentive and helpful staff. Value for money okay.
Cleanliness of bathroom could have been better.
The lunch was delicious! One of the best meals we've had in India. The staff were lovely and accommodating. There was a complimentary speaker which we could use while we were on the boat.
The staff did not tell us that we needed to pay extra for fish for dinner (after we had already pre paid for lunch and dinner). This may have been a language barrier? When we went to bed there were dead flies on our pillows and when we slept we got bitten by mosquitos- but it is important to remember you are on a boat so these things are bound to happen.
A very special experience. The boat itself, "royal palace", was in excellent condition, highest standards, and very clean. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and took good care of all our needs. The cook is excellent and the meals delicious and plentiful. The views were amazing. It is recommended to take the trip in the canoe that they offer, so that you can sail through narrower canals and get an impression of the daily country side lives. Overall a very enjoyable and recommended experience.

Clean, quiet, the staff was really nice !

Wonderful experience, feels like Venice of India.love the boat with choice of local cuisine. Upper deck is main attraction of the houseboat .
We stayed for 2 nights- the crew were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and in general it was a great experience! e
A wonderful location and the staff could not have been more helpful. They provided an exceptional service and were happy for us to arrive slightly early and leave slightly early which we were extremely grateful for.
Really God's own country. Loved it .Best accommodation and tasty food.Best ever hospitality Staff so friendly highly recommended 👌
clean and neat, good timely food, the staff were wonderful. they took good care of us.
the yoghurt/curd was sour but thats alright.
Upperdeck of the boat was wonderful. We had an amazing view of Alleppey backwaters from this upperdeck. Houseboat was well maintained and excellent in condition.Staffs were very friendly. I would highly recommend this houseboat.
Nothing
The boat was Excellent in condition. The most attractive part in the houseboat was it's beautifully furnished upperdeck. The captain vijay, chef kunjumon and babu were very good. They took good care of us and served us unbelievably delicious food.Overall experience was amazing.
Wifi is not working properly. If you could extend time till 10 am for the checkout it would be better.
We recently stayed at this house boat on the 9th of August.so glad we choose to stay at why not houseboat.such a wonderful stay with lovely experience.we enjoyed the beautiful location and the traditional Kerala dishes the morning sunrise scenery was extremely beautiful the staff are very kind and helpful. main attractions on the boat upper deck very cosy and comfortable chairs highly recommended this houseboat don't miss it.
We had a lovely 2 nights on the 6 person houseboat. We enjoyed two sunny days of cruising through the backwaters, including a one-hour expedition in a small boat up a narrow section of the canals that allowed us to see more of local life in Alleppey. Two nights worked very well because it allowed us to get a bit further away from the bustle of the port. We arrived later in the afternoon and so we missed out on a few hours of cruising - would recommend arriving as early as your booking allows. The food was great, with generous portions, and the staff on the boat were very friendly and attentive throughout. We were a mixed group of friends, but this boat would work well for couples too. We also had a fantastic driver, Anshad, who picked us up from the airport in Kochi. He was very friendly and he made everything smooth. He shared lots of information with us about the local area as well as suggesting activities and making arrangements for us. He also later drove us to the next destination on our trip. The whole experience exceeded expectations.
It felt like a total scam I got the worst food poisoning in my life there Dirty bathroom Full of mosquitoes everywhere We should not have trusted as they were accepting only cash payments
The experience in it self is like anything else. The boat is well equipped well decorated with the amount space(apart from the room) for people relax and have a wonderful time admiring the sights and peace of the backwaters. The meals were unbelievably delicious and fresh (it’s a must that you choose this option). In a nutshell it’s an experience to tried. WiFi surprisingly working well pretty much the all journey(not to be used for work purposes).
For the price being charged per night meals should be part of the price. People need to be made aware that the shower is a bit of clean running water out of tab and not actual working shower. For one night it’s perfectly doable for more than that and considering the heat and price paid, a reasonable shower is a must. True it’s quite possible that this the best maintained houseboat available, however is also the most costly, by a big difference. The AC in the room only worked at night which understandable, however people should be given the option to control the temperature, otherwise it can get really cold.
Lovely well tended boat, lovely crew cook and captain who took very good care of us and cooked us delicious meals whilst sailing us around the backwaters. Also very helpful Vineeth and Tony on land. Thanks for a great trip.

The hospitality of the staff is superb!
Will be more comfortable if the room more spacious
The staff was really good and the food was awesome. Also the view was great.
In the rooms, its a bit difficult to stay at day time as AC starts from evening.
We spent our last day in Kerala on why not cruise and it was wonderful.we did overnight trip overall it was a great experience and would love to Visit again for longer duration would definitely recommend this company to better sales explore the backwaters..
A fantastic and memorable experience! Highly recommended. The boat was clean, comfortable and great condition, Booking 2 night meant we could get away from all the traffic near the main port, and enjoy the serenity of the backwaters! Suresh and Prince really made the trip 5 stars! They are both friendly helpful and attentive! Suresh served the best food we've had in india. We could not have asked for a better captain and chef..
Nothing
Het varen in the backwaters en de heerlijk loungebank boven.
If you offer things like wifi and smart TV make sure it works. I am a nomad and work while travelling. I need wifi. In front I asked is there wifi. They said yes mam strong wifi, well the wifi didn t work most of the time and the smart TV didn t work at all. After telling this there was no response. Immediately when you are on board they come to collect the money, but if there is a complaint you don t here or see them. I woudn t suggest to take this boat for a ride in the backwaters. There are plenty of others.
Our recent stay at the "why not houseboat" was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we boarded, we were captivated by the perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional design. The ambiance was serene and inviting, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The food was an absolute delight! Each meal was a culinary journey, featuring a variety of local delicacies prepared to perfection. The flavors were authentic and fresh, making every dining experience memorable. The staff services were impeccable. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Their genuine hospitality added a personal touch to our stay, making us feel truly at home. The infrastructure of the houseboat was impressive. It seamlessly combined modern conveniences with traditional aesthetics, creating a unique and luxurious atmosphere. Every corner of the houseboat was thoughtfully designed, providing both comfort and elegance. Overall, our stay on the houseboat was an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a blend of luxury, tradition, and outstanding service. Five stars all the way! ---
I think we should also have a air conditioning option during the day, not that it is any showstopper, but will be good option to have.
Wonderful stay and excellent staff. Owner Vineet went the extra mile to ensure that my 81 year old mother had a pleasant stay. I was especially concerned about the difficulty she may have faced while onboarding and off boarding. Everything was managed flawlessly and our whole family of 5 had a wonderful time. Food was prepared in an authentic Kerala style. Overall a memorable trip.

Perfect days floating around. This boat is a lot better condition than others we saw. Very good experience
Honestly the best experience of our trip to India, cruising along the backwaters was incredible. The crew were so kind to us and made us incredible food including a banana leaf platter for lunch, snacks and dinner! We felt very looked after. The bedroom was so much nicer than I expected for a houseboat as was the bathroom. I think the best part about this boat when I compared it to others was the fact it had a balcony. Not many 2 person boats did. I really recommend this houseboat.
Where we docked at night was quite noisy from other boats. I think if we’d stayed another night this would have been more secluded so I wish we had stayed an extra night!
Superb experience! Never expected a better stay and amenities then in the hotel. The boat was clean, comfortable and staff was amazing! It could not be better. Will come back and will advise to friends
Nothing to say! Everything was perfect
Boat was clean, modern and very stylish. Just having a one bedroom private boat makes a huge difference and allows you to unwind. The wonderful chef Sureesh treated us to amazing delights for breakfast lunch and dinner and Prince was an amazing captain taking us to the best spots. No request was too big for them and they made sure we had an amazing experience. We were taken to a fish market which was very pricey - and felt pushed to buy fish/prawns. We did buy a kilo of prawns which Suresh cooked deliciously. However the food provided on board was ample and delicious.

This houseboat is fantastic. We saw others in the dock that looked run-down and old, but ours was beautiful. So comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The staff and skipper were great and looked after us so well without bothering us. The food was delicious and the bedroom and bathroom were surprisingly comfortable for a houseboat. This was easily the best houseboat in the dock. Go for this one.
Our entire experience on the houseboat was spectacular, we loved everything from all the staff to the amazing food and amenities. Vijay, kochumon and babu took great care of us, important part of the boat is upper deck The upper deck is incredible nice comfort sitting and dinning area. We highly recommend booking the house boat experience with this company.
Clean, Luxurious, yummy food
Mosquitoes in the evening and can’t use upper deck. AC is on only during 9pm to morning 6AM
I was not expecting a boat with high ends finishes: room and, most importantly, bathroom were spectacular. The roof terrace is amazing to spend time just relaxing and soaking up this experience. I came with 3 friends and we all had a great time spending time with each other.
It's not even a "I didn' like" but it is true that sometimes the wifi is not at its best. However, I don't even think that should be a problem: you choose to go on a boat trip to disconect and enjoy the experience.
