Prachtige riad in het centrum. Onwijs lief stel die ervoor zorgen dat je niets tekort komt. Kamers prima als je niet teveel luxe verwacht. Balkon en uitzicht op zee zijn prachtig

Accueil très agréable, le couple qui tient le Riad est très gentil et accueillant! L’établissement et bien situé avec vue sur mer.

La chambre non climatisé, même si c’est noté lors de la réservation il faisait quand même bien chaud peut être parce que c’est au dernier étage. Et la douche .. la douche était froide, on a eu la chance d’avoir de l’eau chaude le jours suivant mais étant malade pendant le séjour ces deux facteurs on rendu le séjour plus compliqué.

Riad avec beaucoup de charme. Merci à Zahra et son mari pour leur accueil chaleureux.

Hamid, el anfitrión, y su mujer, son muy amables y simpáticos. El riad como tal está bien, no es ningún lujo, es sencillo... pero incluye todo lo básico. Hemos estado agusto! :) La ubicación está bien pero teniendo en cuenta que está dentro de la medina (no en primera línea de playa). Está todo cerquita y hay muchos restaurantes y bares cerca.

En booking pone que el riad se encuentra en primera línea de playa... y eso no es así. Se encuentra metido en la medina, por lo que esa descripción no es para nada correcta. Tiene una terraza desde la que se ve el mar, pero de ahí a que esté en primera línea de playa... El desayuno no está incluido (cuesta 7 euros así que nosotras decidimos ir a desayunar a otro sitio). Si contratáis el servicio de taxi al aeropuerto, son 20 euros, pero como el taxista no puede acceder a la medina, un chico te acompaña hasta el taxi tanto en la ida como en la vuelta, y hay que pagarle unos 2 o 3 euros (para tenerlo en cuenta y llevar monedas).

Établissement très propre et confortable avec une suite avec terrasse et vue sur mer. Hamid est d’une incroyable gentillesse et un hôte très attentionné.

Zawia è casa,e questo racchiude tutto .... Posizione eccellente,Riad molto carino,una bomboniera con una super colazione. Dopo due anni che mancavamo dal Marocco, non abbiamo avuto dubbi e ovviamente abbiamo riprenotato questo Riad. Hamid è la vera eccellenza di questo posto, una persona meravigliosa che saprà aiutarvi in tutto e per tutto, una gentilezza veramente incredibile, diventerà vostro amico dopo un minuto che l'avrete conosciuto. The location is very good and at the edge of medina wall with great views of the Atlantic ocean. The owners are very friendly and welcoming.

The stairs to the bedrooms are narrow although there is another option .

The hosts were so incredibly welcoming and kind! The welcome tea and pastries were beautiful, as was the breakfast. Our room was on the top floor. We had two terraces and assess to another terrace as well. We had beautiful ocean views and the room was huge (2 stories). The Riad is in a wonderful location and the cafe next door had great drinks as well. 10/10 experience! We only stayed one night but wish we stayed longer!

Some outlets in the living room didn’t seem to work but there were enough across the suite that did work so it was no big deal!

Great stay. Hamid and Zahra were such gracias hosts. Coffee, juice and snacks every morning, and tea and snacks all day long. Their background in hospitality definitely shows, and always around to give input on restaurants and activities. Amazing view of the sea from the rooftop terrace, and banging blues soundtrack in the lobby. The room was cleaned every day. Would definitely stay again.

Hamid et Sarah sont très sympas et s'occupe bien de tout ce qui est necessaire. La maison est belle et calme, avec un vu fantastique de la térasse sur le toit, directement au bord de la mer.

Tout était parfait, le Riad, l emplacement, la vue sur la mer. Encore mieux que sur les photos un vrai bijou ! Et la cerise sur le gâteau Hamid et Zahra aux petits soins avec leurs hôtes avec un professionnalisme que nul ne peut égaler. Je voyage beaucoup et j ai rarement vu autant de gentillesse et bienveillance. On s est senties comme chez nous et on hâte d y retourner !

Location was superb inside the medina. Terrace and rooftop both had a view of the ocean. Building itself was gorgeous, very clean and the people were so kind and so helpful. Gave us recommendations, arranged a taxi to the airport and took care of every need.

The only thing is that the room upstairs got a bit warm at night, but that's just because Essaouira was near 30 degrees when it's rarely over 25. Don't think AC would make sense 95% of the year.

La gentillesse et la simplicité de l’accueil. Le personnel est très réactif aux demandes. L’emplacement face à la Zaouia et presque au bord de l’océan est exceptionnel. Le riad est très beau et joliment décoré.

Super friendly and helpful hosts. Our room was up high and had access to cool ocean breezes. I’ve never slept so well.

The hotels steps and circular stairs in the rooms could be a challenge for those with handicaps.

Hamid, Zahra y el resto de personal son encantadores y unos excelentes anfitriones. La ubicación es muy buena y nos dieron indicaciones para conocer Essaouira. La habitación es bonita y cómoda. Además, se puede disfrutar la terraza con vistas al mar. Desayuno muy rico. Nuestra estancia fue inmejorable, sin duda lo recomendamos.

A hidden gem of a riad tucked up by the sea wall of the medina. We booked the suite with a balcony and seaview and had 3 very peaceful nights here. Hamid and Zara were wonderful hosts and even arranged an airport transfer for our arrival (€20). We would recommend using the parking porters to transfer the luggage as it was a 10 minute walk across the medina to the riad.

Riad Zawia feels like home, and you can sense the same magic throughout Essaouira. Hamid is wonderful and makes it all possible—a truly amazing person. The riad is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and the breakfast is incredibly generous, with authentic Moroccan specialties. Right across from the house is his restaurant, a cozy little place that is just as welcoming as Riad Zawia. It serves traditional Moroccan cuisine at very reasonable prices. Everyone should go there to experience the real Essaouira. Hamid also gives excellent recommendations on where to eat and what to see. If we ever return, it would definitely be the place I would choose again.

le ryad est très bien placé dans Essaouira, c'est super calme, les propriétaires sont accueillants et à l' écoute de leurs clients. la literie est vraiment incroyable le petit déjeuner est très copieux et le restaurant en face du ryad est juste exceptionnel.

De locatie, de ontzettend lieve eigenaren Hamid en Zahra die ten alle tijden voor je klaarstaan. Elke dag wordt de kamer schoongemaakt. Alles was super. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

The owner and his wife are a great couple, very kind and welcoming from the start. He personally showed us around the property, handed us a map with his recommendations for things to visit in Essaouira. They prepared our breakfast each morning and even did our laundry when we asked. The Riad itself is lovely, nice central courtyard to hang out in, plus a rooftop. The rooms were big, honestly some of the biggest we had in Morocco. Location is great too, close to everything. Would absolutely recommend this Riad to anyone visiting Essaouira.

Everything! The hosts are amazing and welcoming, helping with anything you need. The Riad is in a perfect location near everything and nice to walk to at night. The breakfast is amazing and it had an adjoining restaurant that serves great food too. We have been in Morocco 11 nights and our time in this Riad was our favourite!

It is traditional, and authentic. The owners are lovely, friendly and helpful. It’s located close to fantastic cafes and restaurants.

If we were to go again we’d have a single storey room as the spiral staircase in the suite was a challenge during the night😀

Sin ninguna duda el trato personal, tanto Hamid como Sara son encantadores. En todo momento estuvieron disponibles para facilitarnos nuestra estancia. Coincidió con el fin del Ramadán y nos obsequiaron con un desayuno riquísimo marroquí. El Riad está muy bien situado en la medina, además y es muy bonito. Volveríamos a hospedarnos allí tanto por la atención de nuestros anfitriones, limpieza, y localización. Gracias Hamid, gracias Sara.

Excellent location and value for money. Fabulous hosts! Couldn’t have been more helpful. Great recommendations for places to eat. Loved having a terrace in the sun. We were very grateful for arranging transport to and from the airport. We hadn’t realised that the taxi would stop outside the medina. Our luggage was then put in a cart and wheeled to the riad! A short walk; about 10 minutes.

Be aware of steep spiral stairs in the top rooms; we didn’t mind them, but they could be tricky for some people!

La atención fue excelente. Hamid y su familia nos atendieron en todo momento con mucha amabilidad. Tuvieron la amabilidad de darnos una habitación superior a la que habíamos reservado porque estaba libre sin ninguna coste. El riad estaba muy limpio y la ubicación era buena. Muy buena relación calidad-precio.

Lovely courtyard with a bohemian Moroccan feel. The location is ideal-quiet with stunning views of the sea but a short walk to the medina. The room was spacious. Hamid and Zahra are friendly and helpful.

Odada çok üşüdük çünkü klima bile yoktu. Ek battaniye istememize rağmen çok üşüdük. Kahvaltı yok . Banyo ve oda çok küçük , duş aldığınız zaman her yer ıslanıyor. Duşun perdesi veya kapağı yok. Oda terliği yok.

Zahra était une hostess merveilleuse! Un bon emplacement dans la médina, un vue d’océan fantastique, un chambre propre et élégant. The et biscuit en arrive était gentille 😊

Good location in the Medina, the hostess was kind and friendly. Made us a coffee the morning of our early departure.

About 10 - 15 minute walk from where taxi dropped us. Need to know to organise a chariot and porter to take bags to and from the Riad. The rooms with a sea view had a precarious spiral staircase which was not easy to get down. This was the only Riad we stayed in during our whole tour of Morocco that did not include breakfast, or have a porter in-house or have any heating. This Riad is not beachfront as stated! it is in the Medina

The owners are lovely people that are always willing to help and give you recommendations. They’re also very responsive on WhatsApp if you need anything. The Riad is in a nice location, a short walk from anything you need.

We stayed on the ground floor and felt the room was quite damp and dark. While windows to the inside are typical for riads, we felt it was particularly hard to keep the room well-aired (compared to others we stayed in). Depending on the time of the day, there was no warm water (not uncommon for Morocco).

I liked the heritage aspect of the building and being close to the sea. The area was really great great cafés and restaurants nearby.

It was damp and cold for the time of the year and Breakfast was an additional add-on not something I was used to.

L'accueil était chaleureux, Mme Zahra était au petits soins avec nous. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et délicieux. L'emplacement est très bien situé au centre de la vieille cité, à proximité des artères principales réputées de leur animation touristique, artistique et commerciales.

Riad Zawia bevindt zich midden in de medina en ligt op loopafstand van het strand. Daarnaast waren de eigenaren (Hamid), zijn vrouw (Zahra) en zoon heel aardig en behulpzaam. Zo werden wij goed ontvangen met de woorden “welcome home”. Bij ontvangst kregen we thee en pakte Hamid een uitgeprinte kaart van Essaouira. Hamid omcirkelde de hotspots van de mooie stad. We kregen zelfs de tip om bij café Moga Style het Nederlands voetbal te aanschouwen! Al met al een hele mooie accommodatie en aardige eigenaar/eigenaresse.

Goed om te weten is dat Essaouira een relatief koude stad is. Wij waren er in september, maar savonds koelt het erg af (16 graden). We lieten ons vertellen dat het een stad is, dat midden in zee gebouwd is. Dit is de reden van de harde wind en de kou. Een trui en een lange broek is dus aan te raden!
