Ansich alles, Hotelausstattung, die nähe zur Dünen, das Essen. Das Personal war nett und freundlich. Abend am Lagerfeuer haben die Jungs ein paar marokkanische Lieder gesungen.

Es gab keine Tür in die Toilette, nur ein Vorhang. In der nähe gab es keine Restaurants die man zu füss erreichen könnte. Wir haben ein paar Sandwiche im Hotel bestellt. Positiv war das es schnell organisiet wurde aber die haben leider nicht geschmeckt und kosteten 10€ pro Stück

Fantastic Riad and Camp facing the dunes in Merzouga, so you can walk out into the sand from your room. We stayed at the Riad, which is beautifully decorated, clean and comfy with gorgeous common areas. But also the tents looked very nice. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional, the staff attentive and friendly and communicative. We especially liked the traditional music and the open fire at night. Big recommendation!

Il soggiorno a Riad Kasbah Aiour è stato indimenticabile, il riad è meraviglioso, pulitissimo, bellissimo, profumato. Lo staff è gentilissimo, disponibile, super accogliente. Il cibo è buonissimo e tantissimo, tutto super abbondante! La sera suonano musica berbera intorno al fuoco, un'atmosfera magica. Super consigliato!!

Das Personal ist so herzlich und angenehm und die Atmosphäre im Riad wunderbar. Abends haben wir am Feuer zusammen gesungen und getanzt nachdem wir von der Unterkunft ganz unkompliziert in die Dünen laufen konnten.

In der Früh wurden wir von Quads geweckt, die direkt neben dem Riad lang fuhren. Wer also absolute Stille der Wüste erwartet, könnte hier etwas enttäuscht sein.

The room was comfortable, food was amazing and staff was very friendly. The owner also helped us organize our desert hike (starting at the hotel which is right by the dunes).

Riad liegt unmittelbar an der Wüste und ist authentisch eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und nett! Hier ist hervorzuheben, dass wir eine Sonnenaufgangstour gebucht hatten, aber wir diese morgens krankheitsbedingt kurzfristig nicht wahrnehmen konnten - es wurde uns hierfür nichts berechnet!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this riad in Merzouga. After four weeks traveling around Morocco, this was hands down the place with the best food and the friendliest staff we experienced anywhere in the country. The riad itself felt very authentically Moroccan, from the beautiful design and décor to the relaxed atmosphere. It really gave us the feeling of staying somewhere special and local rather than just another hotel. Every meal was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. It was honestly some of the best Moroccan food we had on our entire trip. We looked forward to every breakfast and dinner. What truly made the stay special, though, was the hospitality. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel more like guests in a home than customers at a hotel. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time in the desert. If you're visiting Merzouga and looking for a place with amazing food, authentic Moroccan character, and genuinely kind people, this riad is a fantastic choice. We would happily stay here again. 🌅🏜️

Nos gustó todo, un lugar acogedor. Estuvimos en el Riad una noche y otra noche en el campamento. Ambos espectaculares.

Excelente lugar, hermosa decoración y las habitaciones eran amplias y cómodas. La comida abundante y muy rica. Personal hospitalario, atento y cálido. Al borde de las dunas del desierto, una estancia surrealista.

La conexión a wifi era un poco inestable.

Wir konnten vor Ort umziehen in ein Zelt direkt an den Dünen. Das Zimmer war etwas düster... desshalb der Umzug. Tolle 4 stuendige Autotour vom Riad aus organisiert. Super toller Führer. Feuer und Musik am Abend war toll.

Stylish desert riad next to dunes. Kids loved to just wander into dunes and we had trips organized to go to desert, ride camels and quadbikes. All smootj. Loved the staff, specially Addy who helped organize all trips and Abdul Jali helped with food (which was great btw) and awesome drumming in the evening by fire (very nice event organized by the locals, just sing and dance by fire). Thanks guys and great job with running the riad! Definitely recommend and would stay again for sure.

We spent two nights at Riad Kasbah Aiour in Hassilabied over Christmas and truly enjoyed our stay. The building is beautifully constructed and furnished and is located right next to the dunes, so you can step straight into them. With our children, we enjoyed wonderful walks through the dunes in the evening at sunset, in the early morning at sunrise, and even at midday, each lasting about 1.5 to 2 hours. The beds are quite firm yet very comfortable — we slept surprisingly well, even though we usually don’t like hard beds. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and very generous. Addi welcomed us warmly, invited us every evening to a festive gathering with music and dancing by the campfire, and was always present and helpful. Abdeljalil served our meals with constant good spirits and joy, brought us tea, and shared lovely conversations with us, while Fatiha and the other ladies in the kitchen cooked wonderfully for us.

The only thing I could mention is that the room lighting is on the dim side — but really, that’s just a minor detail in an otherwise perfect stay!

Gorgeous property - the style and decor felt really luxurious and the rooms were huge. Sadly we didn’t get to have the breakfast as we left early, but the dinner was absolutely incredible. Best veg tagine we had in Morocco!

We came in winter so it was quite cold. There was a heater but because the room was so large, it struggled to heat it up fully.

We had a wonderful stay! Both dinner and breakfast were included and absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly, and when we mentioned we weren’t interested in any excursions, they were totally fine with that. We’ve stayed at several hotels in Merzouga, but this one was by far the best!

The only downside was that there is a luxury camp in front of the hotel so you don’t have the best view

Die Lage der Unterkunft war perfekt. Es war sehr ruhig und man konnte direkt in die Dünen spazieren. Die Kasbah war gemütlich eingerichtet und auch sehr sauber. Wir hatten eine schöne Erfahrung mit den Hosts am Lagerfeuer.

L'accueil d’Abdullah, l’hospitalité, l'accompagnement dans le choix des activitées, la proposition de se joindre au feu de camp après le souper, la splendide ballade en dromadaire à l’aube avec Ibrahim, ce fut une pure merveille, belle expérience.

The room was very spacious and well organized. We had everything we needed. The environment was clean and very well decorated with plants. It was not crowded, the fire place especially was very creative and comfortable to sit for a long time just gazing at the stars and the dessert.

The rooms were hot but this was due to where we were located. A few more windows in the bathroom will be nice to redirect unpleasant smells.

Just nearby the dunes - Staff : friendly and professional - Food : great food quality and diversity There is also a small camp with few tents as part of the riad in the desert which look also very nice and well placed compared to others seen in the surroundings. I would definitely recommend take the riad or tent offers in this hotel because you wouldn't see that much difference being in another camp in the desert and you probably would be close to other camps.

very authentic place, just next to the sand dunes, with lot of activitites. Good dinner and very good breakfast was served. At the evening there is a local music and dance show next to the fire place. Our kids loved the dune and the camel ride. The exterior and interior is like in a real kasbah, very nicely designed.

We loved the staff at this Kasbah, it’s not too far from the town yet you still are under the vast sky and the sand dunes. The rooms were really clean, comfortable and hygienic. Super spacious tents with all the facilities you could possibly get when camping. Very luxurious glamping experience for us. We enjoyed the night shows with traditional Berber music with a bonfire under the sky viewing the desert. The breakfast was delicious! Dinner is not included but you can purchase it. The staff is really helpful and kind. Definitely worth a visit here. Totally recommend staying at the tents here.

We stayed in a room(not tent). Very good location, you step out to the desert!! Room very clean and smelled very good! Breakfast, evening music and fire were good!! Loved the architecture and the ambience/lighting around the property. Great value! Great staff!

Staff literally amazing and went above and beyond for us - shoutout to Addi he is 10/10 helpful. We were allowed to use the pool next door which was so refreshing. All food was delicious. The dunes are in the backyard! There was a very rare rain storm in Merzouga while we were there and you wouldn’t have known based on how accommodating the staff were.

Dinner was a little expensive. The bed was a little hard. Shower was a little janky. Hotel excursions were slightly overpriced.

We felt so welcome arriving in this Riad. Before hand we booked a camel tour, and we had the pleasure to meet Omar - who was a nomad 15 years earlier! Such a great way to learn more about Berber culture. The breakfast was so good, and the Riad just smelled amazing!

We lacked a door between the room and its bathroom for some toilet privacy.

We stayed in a tent behind the hotel looking out at the dunes. The tent is spacious, very nicely decorated, clean and with good bathroom facilities. From the tent you can easily walk into the dunes to watch the sunset. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They organized some music and a fire at night while we were able to enjoy the night sky. It was really a great experience staying at Riad Kasbah Aiour!

We stayed one night at the Riad and had an additional night at a Camp inside the desert. Both were fantastic and we enjoyed the quietness and the beauty of the stars in our Camp night. The Camp was not from Riad Aiour, but they arranged it for us. Aiour itself has only a luxury camp right next to the Riad. If you are searching for a Basic Camp in the middle of the desert ask them. We payed 65€ p.P.

Addi, the owner, is a great host. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, we had a great stay!

The room (double room) is spacious and large. The breakfast is extensive and also super fresh, and the location is perfect: on the edge of the desert. Furthermore, we were super satisfied with the staff: we were treated like the king and queen and everything was thought of to make our stay comfortable.

The room we were given was small for a family of 3. We had several luggage with us as traveling with a kid during winters needed more packing of clothes but was very tough to open and use our luggage inside the room.

Great location, right on the edge of the desert. Nice traditional style. Room was big with good AC/heating units. Friendly staff, great breakfast. Great value for money.

The position

The rooms do not correspond to the images on the web. Very small, poor light, no bathroom door, outlets that do not work. Did not match expectations. Overpriced.

The food was amazing, the tea and biscuits when we arrived were delicious. The laundry service was excellent, and the staff were very kind and helpful.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, doing everything they could to help us and make us comfortable. Some of them were also talented musicians which we found out after dinner one night when they played some traditional music by a campfire in the dunes. The room (we didn’t stay in one of the tents) was nice and the bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. Powerful shower with instant hot water. There were multiple options for activities that could be booked directly from the hotel for a reasonable price. The location is obviously a big draw and doesn’t disappoint, located directly next to the dunes of the Sahara desert. The unusual silence of the area was rarely broken and walks on the dunes at anytime are always an option. Stunning sunsets, sunrises and incredible star gazing opportunities were real bonuses. The breakfast was really nice and the dinner also didn’t disappoint in its variety or tastiness. The only thing we regret is that we couldn’t stay another day. Highly recommended

Great Riad with a very friendly personnel and a stylish, traditional architecture with the desert behind the doors and hot water that appears immediately (which is not common in Morocco). A beautiful retreat in the desert that offers you luxury accommodation both in the Riad and also in the tents. The attention to detail makes you feel very spoiled. We had a lovely stay in a room and enjoyed the night activities by the fire. The dinner was one of the best meals we had in Morocco. The staff is really attentive and entertaining. Best decision in staying here.

Our family has 6 members. We stayed in 2 rooms. The rooms are very cute, each room has air conditioning and a bathroom. Each room has its own color. We stayed in the yellow and red room. The host was very kind. He met all our wishes, prepared an excellent dinner, camel riding,... He also arranged for us to swim in the pool at the neighboring hotel. The evenings were very pleasant with pleasant music and beautiful ambient lights.

Our stay at Riad Kasbah Aiour was superb. Very attentive service, an excellent location for viewing and hiking the desert sand dunes, and a comfortable room. Our best decision was to dine here - and were served a fabulous dinner, far better quality than most restaurants we have dined at.

No fans in common area was way too hot. Meal times were very late.

We loved the Air-conditioning in the tent very luxurious. The highlight was Mustafa the camel man was fantastic.

Very nice place, comfortable and welcoming place. Stuff is really friendly. I appreciated the contact with them, all of them. Service and food are excellent, and prices more than reasonable. Location is one of the best things here. Dunes are right in front. Driving to Khemlia is short to enjoy gnawa music or eat Medfouna. Rissani also is not too far to visit the souk, historical landmarks, kasbahs and Ksour.

Not related to the Kasbah itself. Unfortunately some tourists luck obvious respect to locals and other tourists, mainly in two ways: leaving trash on dunes (despite local associations collecting it on regular basis) and these guys who love quads quads and other mechanical sports in dunes. While you go there on feet or camel to enjoy sunset or sunrise in some quiet, there are always a few ones turning around and making crazy noise without any consideration to how locals or others feel about it. Talked to authorities about it. I have been told that they have a plan that will be executed in a few months, in order to limit their zone and hours.

we had the best time - excellent facilities, wonderful staff and team, excellent food and comfortable / spacious rooms. The team need special a special mention as they could not have been more helpful and friendly - made the stay perfect. location is right on the start of the Sahara and as you wake up you can look out of the hotel room onto the rolling dunes!

We had a lovely stay here, the host & staff were exceptional. Our host was very friendly and accommodating, helping us with luggage and offering tea. The breakfast was very nice and plentiful. If you are doubting on eating dinner here, do it! The chef made us a truly delicious meal (soup, 2 tajines & dessert!). The room was plenty big enough & had a heater, which is nice in February. They also accommodated a sunset camel ride into the Sahara & sand boarding. We would definitely visit again!

Nice room with a working heater for the cold winter. The facilities are ok. The riad is at the front of the camp with similar name. The sand dunes are the backyard.

WiFi didn't reach my room. I have to go to the public area in order to access the WiFi.
