The Greensboro Inn

This is a sweet place in the middle of everything. Easy to get to and from all directions. Exceptionally clean and the lady at the front desk was very personable and charming. The sign on the road is not the easiest to see as it is black and green and doesn't really stand out from all the other signs. I would recommend this place to people without a second thought. Thank you for an enjoyable visit.

The bed in our room was very hard and could use a mattress topper to soften it up.

Nelle immediate adiacenze si trovano supermercati, ristoranti, stazioni di servizio. Camera grande e pulitissima, con wi-fi, frigorifero, microonde funzionanti. Gli infissi sono di qualità e garantiscono un'ottima insonorizzazione verso l'esterno. Lo staff è molto gentile, mi ha contattato il giorno prima per sapere l' orario di arrivo e rendersi disponibile in caso di problemi. Prezzo in linea con gli standard canadesi.

Its a nice independent hotel right on the main street of New Minas. It has been renovated so everything is pretty new and clean inside the room. I like this style of room where the bathroom is in the middle and a bed on each side creating two separate sleeping areas. Its a basic hotel but its good.

Room had seating area with 2 comfy chairs. Enjoyed not having to sit on the be all the time.

The motel is well located on the main drag in New Minas within walking distance of various take-outs and restaurants. At check in we were upgraded for no additional cost to a larger family room. The room was clean and the bathroom equipped with three sets of towels (often we had to ask for an additional towel set for our three-person group). The non-smoking room smelled fresh and it was fairly quiet (set back far enough from the road to avoid traffic noise with enough wall insulation to prevent hear the guest in the next room). The thermostat adjusted heating and cooling effectively, heavy curtains provide for a good sleep, and a coffee maker was provided.

There was just a sheet and thin coverlet on the beds, we would have liked a duvet and some extra blankets. Would be nice to have a little fridge (with real creamers), microwave and hair dryer in the room. The clock radio/alarm had to be unplugged to plug my charger in and I couldn't understand how to reset it. Would be better to provide more outlets for charging or usb plug ins in the lamps. It was raining during our stay and the gutter over the doors needs fixing as there was quite a cascade of water coming from the roof we had to pass through. Although the room was also nicer, its pricing at $188 was expensive compared to other motel stays (eg. Truro $100, Pictou $122).

Loved the bathroom. It was updated and comfortable to use. Although the room was small it was reasonably comfortable.

The fact that a building was being erected just outside our door was a bit disconcerting and intrusive into some afternoon quiet. Once the building goes up I am sure it will be fine. We stayed away rather than took the time to relax.

Charged for a bloody pillow which I have no recollection of. First of all I would have reported it before leaving. My assumption is the housekeeper reported the wrong room. This is something I would have noticed when doing my “last look” around. Other than that it was a great stay with a great location.

The property is located on the main street in the town, but the accommodation is far enough away from the road that there was no noticeable noise. Shops and restaurants are all within easy walking distance with super stores a maximum 4 minute walk. The female receptionist was very welcoming at check in.

The only negative thing was the WiFi that was very weak and the signal was often lost. It spoilt a pleasant stay.

We originally had a double room but were upgraded to a family room, no extra charge for us. Rooms were very clean, linens were clean, there was lots of hot water, plenty of towels and a nice shower. The staff were very friendly; check in and out easy. We were pleased with the room.

We found the pillows a bit hard.

Close to everything needed in the area such as shopping, food, etc. Love having a mini fridge & microwave in the room. It was very quiet and we extra appreciated them spacing the guests out, usually you are placed together to make things easier for housekeeping.

We liked everything except the beds. They are really hard and very uncomfortable sadly, it did not make a very restful sleep. That was our only complaint and unfortunately would not make us want to stay there again. Everything else was great.

Location. Loved how you can park in front of your room! Loved that a KFC was next door! Plenty of parking! Room was gorgeous!!!

for an older motel it has been renovated very nicely and the layout of the room was good for us and our adult child because the two beds were separated by the bathroom. We were in town to pick up our son from University and the motel was a reasonable price and super clean and comfortable. nice reno in the room.

Couldn't get the shower to work

we were bringing our son to university- the location was perfect for us to have easy access to big box stores to do all the last minute shopping required. The rooms are comfortable and clean. More than ample number of towels for the room. The beds were very comfortable. Great heat/AC unit in the room. Nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. Front office staff super nice!!! The way the family room is set up allows for some separation/privacy between the two queen beds.

a little wear and tear on the room (bathroom door handle kept falling off). We would have liked a few more chairs outside to sit on, or even better, a little sitting area somewhere on the property (perhaps in the back?) The pool remains closed. Would suggest maybe changing out the hair dryers to something not mounted on the wall.

It was conveniently next to the grocery store, and has a mini fridge. Bed was comfortable, room was clean.

The renovated rooms are beautiful. The only issue I saw was the taps are rusting and the wallpaper is letting go at the seams. I would suggest you put a night light in the bathroom.

Greensboro in was such a nice stay. It looks like your run of the mill motel from the outside, but the interior of the rooms were really nice, comfortable and well thought out. The shower had great water pressure and, after being in hotels and Airbnb's for the last month with varying shower quality, it was much appreciated.

The bathroom in the room smelled really bad of urine. Overwhelmingly strong. Needs a good cleaning at the base of the toilet if that is where the smell is originating from. The beds were super hard! I like a firm mattress but these were really hard.

Hotel was okay decent price for the area.

Parking lot area looks kind of sketchy. $200 damage deposit is a bit much., especially when they have my credit card.

I spent the last 15 or more years staying at the Inn at least 2 times a year and usually for 2 nights each visit. Location is great close to everything or a small taxi drive away.

For the price I couldn't have asked for anything else, and if I were displeased about something I would not keep coming back.
