Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Simple but very clean comfortable and quiet motel style room just a few minutes walk from the centre of town with all the restaurants and shops, and parking on site. Lucas was an excellent and friendly host, in touch with us before we even flew into El Calafate to arrange check in and the breakfast was good. Morrisons restaurant is at the street corner and a good place for dinner!

Reviewed Jul 1, 2026Small family-owned hotel in a quiet location, 10min from the city center. Lucas, the owner, is extremely nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable.
Wifi didn't work much the time, which is supposedly normal in El Calafate. I had a local SIM card so it wasn't a big problem, but it's something to keep in mind.

Reviewed Jun 11, 2026- Quiet location within a residential area, about a 25 min walk form the main town area. supermarket (and 10 min walk from the bus station). - The chalet was adorable! The kitchen was well equipped with the right amount of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils needed for us to make dinners. There was however limited counter space so we had to do a lot of meal prep on the dining table and store food on the food. The shower was hot and the bed was firm yet comfortable. There was enough space in the chalet for us to both fully unpack our suitcases and re-sort out all our hiking gear. - Plenty of sockets in the wall for charging, and decent Wi-Fi too. - We had issues with the heating on our first day and the chalet host fixed it for us the next morning and made a video of how we could fix it if it happened again.
The only negatives: the stairs in our chalet were steep and very slippery!! We definitely needed to have our wits when walking down them in the middle of the night for the bathroom - especially when our legs were a little sore from all the hiking! The bin’s also weren’t emptied at all during our stay so by the end of our 4 night stay the bins were overflowing. With hindsight we should’ve just asked to have them empty; the host was always helpful and friendly when we saw him so I imagine he would’ve fixed the issue if we had asked!

Reviewed May 24, 2026La ubicación no estaba mal. Lo más importante es que estaba limpio y dotado con lo imprescindible. Se notaba el interés de los dueños por mantener en condiciones óptimas el alojamiento. El dueño super amable nos permitió dejar el equipaje el día en que debíamos abandonar la habitación y nos asesoró en nuestra estancia en Calafate.
Nada que objetar.

Скудный завтрак. Отсутствие яиц, сыра, нарезки. Территориально автобусный терминал близко, но дойти с чемоданами по грунтовке нереально, убер не работает, местное такси-обдираловка.

Reviewed Apr 30, 2026O fato de ter uma boa reserva de água o que nos garantiu por toda a hospedagem, pois estava faltando água em toda a cidade.
O fato de ter pago um valor a mais do que estava descrito no booking sob o pretexto de uma taxa cobrada pela bandeira do cartão. Sendo que eu paguei em todas as outras sete hospedagem da viajem com o mesmo cartão e não me cobraram nada. Foi mais de 20% de acréscimo.

Reviewed Apr 21, 2026La ubicación está muy bien, aunque no está en el centro ( a 10 min andando) eso la hace perfecta si viajas en pareja o familia porque el paseo para llegar a la casa suma a la experiencia, muy cerca de la estación de buses regionales lo cual está muy bien. El silencio nos hizo descansar de maravilla. La cocina equipada con lo básico para estar super bien. Lucas, su amabilidad y sus historias insuperables... sin duda es un lugar al que volveremos.
Algo muy importante que no nos gusto es que fueron muy pocos días para disfrutar del lugar. por lo demás cosas puntales que se explican pues al estar terminando la temporada se entiende que el desgaste genere estas cosas. La ducha goteaba y el desagüe era un poco lento y se empozaba.

Reviewed Apr 9, 2026Las Marias is run by a friendly couple who provide a good breakfast and assist with information about the local area, recommendations about places to go and the weather. It is about 10 minutes walk to the bus station and laundry. There is a supermarket near the bus station. They booked a taxi to take us to the bus station with our heavy bags when we left. The bed was good and everything was clean. There are a couple of good restaurants around the corner.

Reviewed Mar 23, 2026Las camas eran muy cómodas, de 160 cms de ancho la doble , no había nada de ruido la calefacción era de gas pero podía regularse al gusto del usuario y mantenía la habitación muy caliente. El baño y la habitación eran muy amplios y había bastante sitio para dejar las maletas. El desayuno comenzaba a las 7 pero al tener excursiones que nos recogían a esa hora nos adelantó el desayuno que consistía en café leche infusiones yogurt algo de fruta mantequilla mermelada y cereales tipo buffet donde se podía elegir a voluntad. También nos consiguieron transporte de vuelta al aeropuerto de calafate que llegó puntualmente. Para llegar desde el centro del calafate que está muy cerca hay que subir una cuesta.

L'appartamento non era molto pulito e la stufa in camera aveva una fiamma viva sempre accesa. Staff non molto gentile.

Reviewed Mar 3, 2026Lucas very thorough and friendly on communication - no issues there! Teabags, sugar and instant coffee supplied in rooms. Good hot water and pressure Bed and linen ok. Happy with the location- its a short walk into town with many restaurants and shops.
I am traveling with 4 adults. Each had their own split level apartment. The beds are upstairs, accessed by what we called ‘death stairs’ as they were very steep and rickety. I was so nervous of the death stairs, I moved my bed downstairs to the lumpy divan. My television was not connected to the aerial. I could smell gas. The place was clean but the self catering amenities so old that they seemed to be dirty. I did not want to use them. Only one power point in the upstairs bedroom, no double adaptor provided. Annoying for using lights/ sleep machines/ phones on recharge. These are very, VERY rustic apartments, and not the delightful kind of rustic. The price point is good but clearly no money has been put back into the split levels. An upgrade of all facilities should be undertaken. I am aware that the business has hotel suites that are much fresher- Id choose them, not the split levels. The communal facilities appeared to be very fresh and updated.

La colazione era veramente scarsa. La camera anche se un po' datata (ma non era questo il problema) mancava di alcuni comfort basici come spazio di appoggio in bagno e in doccia, ganci per appendere gli asciugamani, in camera la presa era solo una e pure distante dal letto, il comodino era solo da un lato del letto. Penso che con alcune piccole accortezze si potrebbero rendere l'ambiente più confortevole. Noi abbiamo soggiornato nelle cabanas, non so se le camere sono differenti.

הדירה שקיבלנו ניראת מאד ישנה. היה ריח לא טוב בדירה. ריח של ישן מאד. בקומה השניה יש מיטות אבל המדרגות מאד תלולות והשירותים למטה. הגענו ב21:00ויצאנו ב7:00 למחרת. אחרת היינו מחליפים מקום באופן וודאי. היתה גם בעיה בהגעה למקום כי כביש הגישה היה בשיפוצים.
