Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Nice hotel and lovely staff, unfortunately the restaurant was already fully booked for the evening when we arrived. I think they’d had a festival on in the town during the day.
Parking for our two motorcycles was at the side of the hotel but a very small area, we just about managed to squeeze in the allocated space

La chambre peu confortable et très petite, le matelas posé sur un socle, pas de table de chevet ni de petite lumière. Le lavabo très petit. Le bâtiment n’est pas encore totalement aménagé. La chambre n’est pas bien équipée en résumé. Autre remarque: chambre non faite pendant mon séjour

we all know Switzerland is expensive, so fine. BUT to charge an extra 5 CHF for.an overnight motorbike parking on public road next to the rubbish bins of the hotel is simply ridiculous. part form that all was nice and friendly

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026Das gesamte Ambiente im Hotel und am Frühstücksbuffet, gute Musik, zuvorkommendes Personal und eine sehr reichhaltige, feine Auswahl am haben zu einer ruhigen, guten Stimmung beigetragen. Das Abendessen im Restaurant war ein Highlight - ich habe fast noch nie so gut gegessen. Nach 3 Gängen war ich sehr satt, trotz dass ich das Mittagessen hatte ausfallen lassen. Grossartig! Die kleinen Zimmer im neuen Nebenhaus sind süss und für eine Person absolut ausreichend, ruhig gelegen, sauber. Ich plane bereits den nächsten Aufenthalt.
Der Kaffee aus dem Vollautomat zum Frühstück schmeckt sehr lecker - und ist auf Nachfrage immer verfügbar. Der aufegebrühte Kaffee oben am Buffet ist mittelmässig, aber auch nicht schlecht. :)

Après 3 semaines de voyage moto solo et bivouac j’ai choisi une chambre dans cet hôtel sur base des photos publiées sur booking pour me faire plaisir. Je n’ai pas fait attention mais malgré ma commande spécifique la confirmation disait « chambre dans la dépendance ». Cette dépendance est en fait un autre bâtiment à l’extérieur qui est la résidence du personnel de l’hôtel !!!. Je me suis donc retrouvé dans un studio très mal équipé, draps même pas repassés, etc. Le tout pour le même prix sans excuses ni explication !!! J’estime donc qu’il y a tromperie. J’ai écrit deux fois à l’hôtel via booking et sur leur site : ils n’ont même pas répondu !!! Je me sens donc doublement trompé et c’est inexcusable !!! Sans doute se disent ils « il ne reviendra jamais ».

Der Schlafkomfort war prima, die Lage ist zurückversetzt von der Hauptstrasse - es war sehr ruhig, auch bei offenem Fenster. Leckeres Frühstück mit allem was man so möchte und braucht. so ist denke ich, für alle was dabei. Das Abendessen war sensationell gut. Kein Wunder - es steht auch im Gault Millau. Es gibt Vegetarisches und Fleisch, Menü oder ala Carte. Regionale und saisonale Produkte werden kreativ serviert. Das ist besonders lobenswert.
Der Parkplatz ist etwas weiter entfernt und recht eng ..

Reviewed Apr 1, 2026Das Zimmer, angrenzend in der Nähe vom Haupthaus, war klein, aber äusserst geschickt und modern eingerichtet. Etwas gestört hat dass das Fenster direkt über dem Bett war. Ich schlafe gerne bei offenem Fenster, aber die kalte Nachtluft strömte direkt auf meinen Kopf, weshalb ich das Fenster schliessen musste. Das Frühstück mit frischen Gipfeln und Brot mit diversen Aufstrichen war genau nach meinem Geschmack.
Leider hat das WLAN nicht funktioniert. Über Nacht hat es viel geschneit. Leider war am Morgen der Weg zum Haupthaus nicht geräumt, weshalb ich zum Frühstücken durch 30cm Tiefschnee waten musste und Schnee in die Schuhe kam.

Reviewed Mar 7, 2026Schönes, grosszügiges Zimmer, direkt unter dem Dachstock, mit modernem Badezimmer. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das "Menu surprise" am Abend war hervorragend. Wir haben die kurze Zeit im Hotel schwarzer Bären sehr genossen und würden auf jeden Fall wieder dieses Hotel wählen.

Restaurant, however, is beyond words - we’ve had a a-la carte dinner and every dish we’ve tried, we were blown away by it. Quite possibly, top 3 dinners we’ve ever had anywhere in the world. Highly recommend staying there, worth every penny!
