Reviewed Apr 29, 2026We spend 5.5 hrs on the road and were welcomed by a friendly and professional host. Access to the property was great day and night as we were given our own remote. Rooms were neat, clean and had everything needed. We would definitely stay here again should the need arise. Thank you for your hospitality.

Bedding wasn’t fresh, no pillow cases on pillows. There is no way of having clean pillows if there are no pillow cases. Sheets were also not clean and had stains which sadly lets this lovely place down.

The host made me feel like a criminal, she demanded payment from me to her personal account without following the necessary “booking.com” protocol, even though I had paid. She claimed that BnBs have been subject to scamming and claimed she was well within her rights. The emotional turmoil was unprecedented, though she did apologise, there was no sincerity.

Reviewed Oct 25, 2025This is a beautiful place with cosy rooms in a quiet neighborhood. I was able to walk around to get to the nearby Malls, it's not dangerous at daytime. The hosts helped me with my questions about Gauteng and were very kind. My room was perfect : clean, with all the facilities, peaceful. I can only recommend it!

My flight landed early and I called to find out if I could check in early and she advised me I cannot as current guest has not left yet. But welcomed me to still come to property and have a wait in the garden area. She made us feel right at home. She brought as some coffee and rusks☕. She made sure we were fine all the time whenever she saw us. I loved every bit of it. And I will deffs stay there again and again!!!!!

Reviewed Apr 13, 2025Well,you get more than you paid for.I read the reviews before making a booking and all previous complaints have been solved the way I see it.There is a working microwave,kettle,shower right in your room.For the amount charged I can't expect to get Netflix but it's there because there was a remote provided to watch that.I don't know why would you leave your own house to go watch Netflix at someone's house.In this hard economy the price for the room is beyond fair.There is both coffee and tea in the room.The fridge is working and clean.Spiritually the place is okay and will book there again.Finally,I don't know why would you pay R500 and expect the 5 ⭐ treatment.I have not been bribed to write this take it as it is and book the place.

Reviewed Nov 27, 2024The owners are very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. I was stuck without accommodation as the place I originally booked was disgusting. I was fortunate to find MyKhaya and they accepted my reservation on VERY SHORT notice! I will definitely book with MyKhaya next time I am in Johannesburg. Location was nearby the venue I attended and close to family for visits.

Aroma cells with strong smell, have to move it outside the rooms - after that all was fine) Separate water taps - stylish, but unpractical.
