Our stay at the Leisure Courtyard Hotel was perfect. The view from the balcony is beautiful, the breakfasts are extensive and delicious, and the owners are incredibly kind and helpful. They also provide free bicycles. We recommend it.

E' un 10 insolito, come è insolita e piacevole questa struttura. Eccezionale il supporto di Lina e di suo marito, che ci hanno aiutato ad organizzare ogni spostamento ed attività che abbiamo richiesto, con precisione, puntualità e gentilezza. Camera veramente carina, mette serenità. Biciclette a disposizione gratuitamente e con queste abbiamo raggiuto il centro di Xingping (bellissimo), il famoso spot della banconota da 20 Yuan e anche il traghetto che ti porta dalle navette per raggiungere il monte Xianggong (con uno dei panorami più belli visti in Cina). Due opzioni per la colazione, preparata al momento. Non lontato, in auto, dalla stazione di Yangshou. Sicuramente torneremmo in questo hotel!

The best things about the place were the good refrigerator, the air conditioning, and the reasonably comfortable beds.

Where on earth did all these glowing reviews from previous guests come from? I’ll start from the beginning. The room was supposed to cost €140 per person. According to the Booking.com agreement, our room was supposed to include a kitchen with an electric stove, oven, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, and a jacuzzi/hot tub. None of these facilities were available in the room. So where did this astronomical price come from? We had agreed with the owner in advance that she would arrange a transfer from the airport late in the evening. The transfer was arranged, and we arrived at the hotel at 1:30 a.m., absolutely exhausted. Immediately upon arrival, the owner demanded that we pay in cash, even though my Booking.com reservation clearly stated that I could pay by bank card. We did not have that amount of cash with us. I asked if I could pay by credit card. The owner then said that because she did not have a system for processing our card, we would have to pay an additional €30 (234 yuan) “tax.” For what exactly? She did not offer to let us pay in the morning. Instead, she simply said that she would not let us into the room during the night unless we paid. We had no choice but to hand over the extra money. Her son, a young boy, was constantly watching what was in our wallets. I consider this behavior completely unacceptable and, frankly, bordering on extortion on the part of the owners. As for the room itself: yes, it was spacious, and yes, there was a beautiful view from the window. But I did not receive even half of what was stated in the reservation agreement. As for the food, we only had breakfast. Every day we were served the same noodles, prepared with tap water. We asked for an English breakfast and received two eggs and some bread — that’s all. The location is another problem. There is practically no transportation available at all. Walking to a shop in the heat is unbearable.

Great spot! Very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located in a quiet part of Xingping with amazing views, felt very peaceful. Room was very clean, and had all the amenities we needed with lovely furnishings. We had lunch and breakfast and it was some of the best food we ate the whole trip. Free bikes to use was great, easy 20 minute cycle into the town. Easy for the Xianggong sunrise, private transport with short ferry. Loved our stay, would recommend at least two nights to relax and enjoy!

Unico piccolo difetto forse è che la struttura non è centralissima e occorre un didi oppure noleggiare una bici elettrica per raggiungere il paese e le attrazioni principali ma non so nemmeno se è un difetto perché quello che perdi in distanza lo guadagni in tranquillità

We absolutely loved staying here. It was peaceful and quiet, with stunning views of the river and the karst mountains, and conveniently located near the region's most famous viewpoints. The hosts kindly picked us up and drove us to the train station, prepared a fresh breakfast every morning, and were always friendly and welcoming. After spending the day exploring the river area, it was a pleasure to return to such a cozy and atmospheric hotel. Highly recommended!

La vista è spettacolare!!! Sembra di toccare le cime con un dito Neanche abbiamo mai chiuso la tenda prima di dormire perché svegliarsi con davanti questa vista è stato impagabile!!! Staff super gentile e disponibile! Ci ha aiutato prima di arrivare da lei che nell’andare via. Aveva inoltre un apparecchio elettronico fantastico che aiutava nella comunicazione traducendo direttamente in lingua. Il cagnolino ha aggiunto un plus alla struttura. La posizione è comoda se si vuole stare nella parte più tranquilla.

Petit hotel molt a prop del riu Li, el separa un passeig molt agradable entre els camps, de no mes de 4 minuts… una decoració molt acurada, i un petit jardí amb arbres aromatics.. L’esmorzar molt abundant i deliciós , igual que el sopar que is recomano que el encarregueu a l’hotel

If you enjoy getting away from the busy city, this is the perfect location! It's quiet, accessible (you can always call a Didi, and it arrives in less than five minutes), and situated near the river, where you can explore and take leisurely walks along the riverside.

It was clean but will not return again. Ever. You get a basic room, that’s it. No pool, only two fixed breakfast option. You can rent the bike or electric scooter. I would rather pay a bit more for Hilton (nearer to town with same views) for better stay and facilities. Initially thought we got scammed from the AI edited pictures and thought the service could compensate for the ‘reality’. The experience was ultimately ruined by discrimination and lack of sympathy by the owner (male) where we tried to ask for a favour (drop by any nearby shop otw to the station) and he was reluctant to even help and criticised that we eat breakfast and ‘want to eat again’. Context, we had a long trip back and wanted to get some food to avoid inconvenience of our friends who don’t speak Mandarin. A local friend then stepped in to explain our situation further, which he agreed. Then on the car ride to the station, we (other two) thanked him, instead of acknowledging it, he switched language to one of my friends to sarcastically say “you friend is already old, but still called uncle”, whichI immediately confronted that we’re being respectful here (significant age gap to the owner), nothing else. Hearing the audacity of the owner to be this rude (not the first time), I regret staying here. Not worth the price and treatment.

Felt unwelcome. The owner (male) - rude, lack of respect, lack of sympathy, looks down on non-native Chinese speakers. He only likes you if you speak Cantonese. The son - helps out but does not smile. The two ladies- nice, pleasant. Location - it’s inconvenient, farther into rural areas, not walkable in the heat. Nothing much nearby. Not suitable for staycation.

Wyjątkowe miejsce prowadzone przez przemiłą i pomocną rodzinę. Przepyszne śniadania, wspaniały widok z okna w pokoju. Pokoje bardzo czyste. Widać, że właścicielom zależy na zadowoleniu gości. Czuliśmy się tam bardzo dobrze. Szczerze polecamy.

The room is very big and practical. Location is near the mountains and away from the ever busy xingping town.

The hotel location was perfect for visiting the Li River scenic area, just walking distance to the river and karst mountains infront and behind. The hosts were warm and friendly and gave us suggestions for day trips and recommended a nice and helpful driver for our trip out to Yangshuo town and Ru Yi. The local breakfast was nice with produce from the local farms. The room had all the essentials we needed including their supercomfortable beds.

It would be nice to have some variety in the breakfast options esp if one stays for more than one night. The place is rustiic so be prepared for some insects in the premises. A little far from the town but guess that is a tradeoff between being in a scenic area vs living in town

The Chinese breakfast was very good. The staff (family)were very friendly and helpful. The father did smoke, which had me not lingering in the entry courtyard. The building and the furnishing are very pretty. There were some nice walks to the river and the town and farmland behind the hotel, however, unfortunately, the bridge into Xingping was out during the time we were there (heavy rains and construction) and it was tortuous trip to get into and back from the nearby city.

We had a wonderful stay at this family-owned hotel. The atmosphere felt very warm, personal, and authentic, which made our experience in Yangshuo even more special. The hotel team was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. They helped us organize our time, plan activities, and arrange a driver, which was extremely convenient. Thanks to their support, we were able to smoothly visit all the places we wanted without stress. I would really recommend asking the hotel to help arrange transportation. The price was very reasonable, and it made everything much easier. With DiDi, there can be hidden additional costs, such as toll fees, and we were also not sure whether we would be able to find a taxi back from places like the tea plantation. Having a driver arranged by the hotel gave us peace of mind. Another nice thing is that the hotel can prepare food for lunch and dinner, which is very convenient, especially after a long day of exploring. Overall, it was a very pleasant, thoughtful, and authentic experience. We are very grateful for the hospitality and would happily recommend this hotel.

Een fijn hotel! Wij hadden een mooie grote kamer met schitterend uitzicht op het karstgebergte. De kamer was erg schoon. Fijne bedden en een fijne douche. We hadden zelfs een privé wasmachine met droogtent. De eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Communicatie gaat erg goed mbv een vertaalapparaatje. Ken heeft voor ons een privé chauffeur geregeld en een leuk dagprogramma in elkaar gezet. Ook hebben we een workshop dumplings maken gedaan in het hotel. Hiervoor waren we eerst met Ken naar de lokale markt gegaan (super ervaring!) en hadden we de meeste inkopen gedaan in een nabijgelegen supermarkt (stuk hygiënischer dan de lokale markt). In de middag hebben we met Lina de dumplings gemaakt. Dit was erg leuk! Wij vonden de ligging van het hotel prima! Buiten de drukte. Met didi is het 10 minuten rijden naar het centrum. Tegenover het hotel ligt een mooi wandelpad naast de rivier. Kortom: een absolute aanrader!

Der junge Mann , der überall mal ausgeholfen hat muß noch sehr viel lernen. Vom Besitzer fühlt man sich oft bevormundet. Ständig bekommt mein die schlecht arbeitende Übersetzer App unter die Nase gehalten.

Honestly, I loved this place. If I ever come back to Yangshuo, I wouldn’t even think twice about staying here again. It’s a family-run hotel, and you can really feel the care they put into everything. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything you need. The room was spotless, the views were beautiful, and the whole place has such a calm, peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxing after a day out. It just feels genuine and personal in a way that bigger hotels often don’t. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, comfortable, and run by genuinely lovely people.

Situado en una ubicación tranquila, lo suficientemente cerca para llegar caminando a famosos miradores del rio. La habitación es muy grande y las camas muy cómodas. Pero la amabilidad de Mr.Fan y su esposa son lo que dan más valor. Nos han atendido siempre, rápidos y eficaces.

The location is excellent—very quiet, with an amazing view. The overall atmosphere is unique and authentic. The family that owns the property is exceptionally kind and welcoming. During our stay, we saw how caring they are: when a child from another family became ill, the owner personally drove them to the hospital at 2 a.m. You can rent an electric bike there. The kitchen is also great—I highly recommend trying the local fish.

V hoteli bolo ubytovaných viacero belochov, bolo vidno, že s turistami zo zahraničia majú veľké skúsenosti. Personál bol veľmi ústretový pri organizácii výletov po okolí. Izba zodpovedala fotografiám na ich stránke. Personál nás prišiel zobrať na vlakovú stanicu ( ktorá nie je blízko)

Lina y su pareja son encantadores. Hacen que tu estancia sea muy agradable. Es el lugar con las camas más cómodas que probamos en todo nuestro viaje a China. Por no hablar de las vistas desde la habitación. Está algo alejado del ancient town, pero por eso mismo, te ofrece mucha tranquilidad. Nos dejaron bicicletas para recorrer los alrededores. We had a terrific stay here. Great location, not too far from Xinping Ancient Town but far enough where you feel secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We walked to the town each day (very beautiful walk- we’re also not hikers so anyone can do it!) or you can also get one of the scooters that drive by frequently to take you for 10-20yuan. Also in walking distance to the famous $20RMB photo and local restaurants. The staff were amazing, and we loved their little mascot Tian-Tian (friendly and quiet pet dog!) The driver was amazing and very helpful. Gave us directions every morning on where to go and what to do. He recommended us a walk along the river which was absolutely beautiful and highlight for us- there was no other tourists around! Very beautiful scenery and we walked along the river until we got close to the town. The food at the hotel was terrific. We highly recommend trying the Chinese breakfast- we both agreed it was the best food we have had our entire trip! All the food around here was amazing as it is locally grown. Thank you so much for having us for our honeymoon and can’t wait to come again :)

This hotel was the highlight of our trip to China. It has the perfect location and the best service in all of China. The view of the mountains was better from our hotel than from Xing Ping ancient village. We did not want to leave our balcony. The host is kind, funny, and super helpful. They helped us arrange transportation to the train station. The bed was the most comfortable bed of our whole trip.

I loved everything.

I had a wonderful, one night stay at this property as a solo female traveller. I felt very well taken care of by Lina and Ken. Lina cooked up a delicious dinner and Chinese breakfast. Ken helped me sort out travel plans with great patience and lovely cups of tea. The views from the rooms are stunning and you're close to the pier where you can catch a bamboo raft. Xingping Ancient Town is a short taxi ride away and you're also within walking distance of the famous scenery on the RMB 20 note. If you're looking for a charming, Chinese style accommodation in a quiet location close to the mountains, this is the place to stay! I can highly recommend it.

It is a well appointed Chinese classical style boutique hotel run by the owners. The location is fantastic- super views of the nearby karst hills and a few minutes walk to the river. One can just spend hours/ days here relaxing. The area is quiet and rural but close to all the tourist traps and shopping. We loved to sit in the courtyard in the afternoon where Mr. Fan the owner would kindly make us tea from his collection. You don’t need to plan your activities before arrival. Mr. Fan will help you organize on arrival; or like us, we did everything impromptu - float down the river on bamboo raft, take a trip to see the Moon mountain and down to the rice paddies and pomelo groves on the paths less travelled. You will really appreciate the kindness of the owners ( no words to express). I am carrying a bag of fresh passion fruits that Lina gave us for our long train trip. Mr. Fan saw us off at the train station where we all hugged and promised to return next year!

I wish more guests can enjoy this place!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property. From the moment we arrived, the husband and wife who run the hotel made us feel truly welcome and at home. Their hospitality was exceptional — they helped organize our activities and ensured everything ran smoothly throughout our stay. The breakfast, prepared and arranged by the wife, was absolutely delicious and a perfect way to start each day. Although the hotel is not located in the city center, its peaceful setting and beautiful landscape more than make up for it. Our room was extremely spacious, comfortable, and spotless. We were genuinely impressed and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a warm, relaxing, and memorable stay.

Great location near to Xianggong mountain and railway station. The owners really helped us and made a huge difference. We organised most activities with them that were really good. Cormorant fisherman was great, xianggong sunrise and then a full day with private car to roam around. They also pre booked tickets for us. also, Lina’s cooking is really top notch - we had the best ever beer fish and fried tofu. Really really good! The view of the mountains is really great from the room.

We had a wonderful stay at Leisure Courtyard Hotel. Upon arrival, we were picked up from Yangshuo station and the hosts were very friendly and helpful, suggesting activities and routes for us to explore the beautiful area. We particularly enjoyed the bike ride (with free bikes) from the hotel through a gorgeous and quiet scenic route. The bed and linens were extremely comfortable and of good quality. The shower had excellent water pressure as well as ample hot water. There is a beautiful view straight onto the mountains from the room. The room was quiet and was equipped with heating, which is essential for the winter months. It was the perfect base to explore Xingping. Lina is a great cook as well - the food is delicious, a welcome contrast to the strong flavours in the touristy restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

Nothing - a suggestion would be to tweak the breakfast options slightly for guests that stay for longer for a bit more variety.

Ils nous ont donné d’excellents conseils sur les activités et les visites à faire à Yangshuo. Des vélos sont mis gratuitement à disposition, ce qui permet de découvrir facilement les alentours. L’hôtel est situé à seulement 10 minutes du centre-ville, dans un environnement calme et agréable. La chambre était très propre, confortable et offrait une vue incroyable. The view and the location was ok to see the local sights but very far out from the city centre

The common area wasn't very inviting and smelled of smoke.

This is a 5 star hotel but with a warm home feeling. Everything was great from the moment the owner, Mr Fan, met us at Yangshuo Railway station. He was really welcoming and friendly. There was no elevator but his staff helped to bring our suitcases up the stairs which was much appreciated after a long train ride. Lina, his wife, cooked the most delicious dinner on our first night. We had to order this in advance but she sent us the menu one day earlier. We chose the Chinese set menu for breakfast daily, which was included in our room rate. Our 2-bedroom suite were steps away from Li River, close to the 20 yuan viewpoint. It had large windows where we could see the magnificent karst mountains from both bedrooms. There was even a balcony to enjoy the view. Having a washing machine in our room was great with plenty of hangers to hang our laundry. The bathroom was fitted with modern amenities but aesthetically it blended really well with the more traditional chinese decor in the bedrooms. Daily housekeeping by staff was of very high standard., It was very easy to get Didi taxi through our Alipay app. The main thing to note is that one must use the name Xian Ting Mei Su Boutique Inn, Yangshuo and not Leisure Courtyard Hotel Yangshuo for the address. During the day, it cost us 52 yuan to get Yangshuo. After watching the Impressions of Liu Sanjie show, and a late dinner, coming back to hotel cost us 85 yuan (we thought it was because he had to get back to main town). Mr Fan was extremely patient in helping us with our holiday needs. You could tell him all your plans and he could help you arrange the best way to cover them all. We did a private tour one afternoon through his arrangements to Xianggongsan and Ten Thousand Mountains where we saw the sunset. If not for his advice, we would have missed this as Ten Thousand Mountains was not in our initial plan! We thank Mr Fan, Lina and their team for the most memorable stay!

Tout était parfait. La grande chambre spacieuse et comfortable. Le balcon plein soleil matin et après midi face à une vue exceptionnelle sur les montagnes, au calme, loin du tumulte de la ville. Je vous conseille d'aller vous balader en face de l'hotel jusqu'à la Li River et de longer à gauche. Le chemin est magnifique. Je conseille également l'ascension du Laozhai Hill et Xianggongshan qui sont tous deux proche de l'hôtel. Le petit déjeuner et les repas le soir dans l'hôtel sont délicieux. Le personnel est accueillant, sympa et de bons conseils. Possibilité de louer un vélo ou un scooter. Pick up gratuit le jour du départ pour la gare de Yangshuo, reliant Guilin en 20min pour 3€.

Very nice and cozy hotel with perfect views, comfortable beds and very nice hosts. We felt very welcome and the hosts were very helpful when we had questions. The location is a few minutes drive from the town in a more quiet area, great for exploring the area by electric scooter. The breakfast was nice as well. Would be happy to come back!

We spent our days here in a wonderfully relaxed “slow travel” style — wandering around leisurely, exploring the surroundings without rushing, and simply enjoying the rhythm of local life. One of our favorite parts was the homestyle breakfast prepared in the local way. It felt warm, authentic, and truly gave us a taste of the neighborhood’s everyday charm.

Authentic traditional Chinese ambiance, lovely host and great room view. You literally feel like visiting a summerhouse far away from the city. Breakfast was superb and I really loved the amenities for shower, the smell was amazing. 20 RMB viewpoint is really close.

beautiful hotel, huge room with comfortable beds, friendly and helpful owners. the food was delicious and always cooked fresh. They catered to our dietary needs. they helped us with our plans and accommodated us leaving the hotel extremely early in the morning. the feeling was very friendly

The location of the hotel and the view from the balcony was amazing (even better than the pictures!!!). The owners were very sweet and helped us a lot with the planning of trips and arranging transport. They know the area and the highlights very well. Chinese breakfast was delicious each morning. The hotel is located close to Yangshuo station and we were picked up from the train station by the owners which was vey nice. The highlights of the area (xianggong hill, laozhai hill, li river l) are on walking distance from the hotel (if you enjoy hiking through nature). The room was very comfortabel and clean. I recommend staying in XingPing rather than Yangshuo as the main attractions are located in Xingping and not Yangshuo (which many internet guides seem to have wrong for some reason). One day trip to Yangshuo is more than enough. We enjoyed the scenery surrounding XingPing more than Yangshuo.

The friendly couple who ran the property. They helped plan my travel itinerary. My room was clean and had spectacular views of the karst mountains.

A good location is crucial, especially during peak season like Golden Week in China. Thanks to the Leisure Courtyard Hotel Yangshuo, we avoided the crowds and spent three wonderful days in a beautiful and peaceful area. The wonderful hotel owners provided everything we needed. The view from the room without a balcony on the fourth floor was spectacular. The wall of windows really does the trick. It's a wonderful experience in the morning when you can sit in a cozy spot by a large window, drink tea, and have long conversations with your loved one while gazing at the magnificent mountain landscape. The hotel is about a 45-minute walk from the center of Xingping, but the owner rents an e-bike if needed for around 60-70 yuan, which we used for two days. The room has everything you need. Room is cleaned snd towels are changed daily. Breakfast is delicious and sufficient, prepared without chili upon request, for which I was grateful.

Замечательный отель! Находится в тихом и живописном районе. Комнаты очень просторные и чистые, каждый день производится уборка номера. Вкусные завтраки на выбор(местный традиционный или европейский). Хозяева отеля очень дружелюбны и готовы помочь в любых вопросах(аренда байков, покупка билетов, такси). От проживания только положительные эмоции! Все очень понравилось!
