Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Hotel liegt etwa auf halber Strecke zwischen Ruhrgebiet und Mittelmeer. wir waren zum dritten Mal da und werden auf der Rückfahrt auch wieder dort übernachten. Nebengebäude sieht etwas alt aus, unser Zimmer war aber in gutem renoviertem Zustand. Gutes "kaltes" Frühstück für 12 €. Abendessen teuer, alternativ zu empfehlen ist das irakische Restaurant an der Hauptstraße, aber unbedingt reservieren. Nach dem Essen kann man noch schön auf der Stadtmauer um die Stadt laufen.

Room was v small with no view. Got quite hot overnight though a fan was provided. Basic toiletries - dispenser in shower was empty

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026Good central point for travelling between Southern France and Germany. The hotel rang us in the afternoon to ask if we would like to book a table for dinner and breakfast. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so cannot comment on the quality of the food.
We stayed here a year ago and there was a noticeable deterioration in the past year. We stayed in a family room in the Annexe. The curtains at one of the windows was not wide enough to cover the window. The curtains at the other window were falling off the curtain track. The room we were given had 2 double beds and one sofa bed. There was no pillow for the sofa bed and the “spare pillows” which were kept in bags were dirty. Sweet wrappers were also found underneath the desk. The bathroom was new, however the foot mat was stained. It felt as though the room required some TLC.

Wij kwamen om 16:30 uur aan bij het hotel. Troffen een medewerker aan die ons vertelde dat het hotel gesloten was. Ze vroeg ons om over een half uur terug te komen. En ze was bloedserieus. Echt? Nog nooit meegemaakt bij een hotel 😂

Pas de climatisation dans les chambres. Ne doit cependant pas être un problème en dehors des périodes de canicule. Arrivée un mercredi : la réception n’est ouverte qu’à partir de 17h00!!! Et cela n’est pas communiqué à l’avance.

To have been placed in the Annex across the road from the Hotel, with no view apart from a light well and no staff available in the Annex.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026Zeer aardig en behulpzaam personeel. Alles wel erg netjes en goed voor elkaar. Goed ontbijt. Goed parkeren. Prima hotel voor jonge stellen zonder kinderen als je het mij vraagt.
Geen airco! 35 graden. Ramen moeten dus open maar met veel herrie op straat is dat onmogelijk slapen. Het restaurant scheen heel goed te zijn maar eigelijk veel te luxe en geen keuze voor de kleintjes. We zijn dus elders gaan eten.

Helaas kamer op 2e etage, zeer smalle trap, naast de linnenkamer. Met bagage en een hond niet ongevaarlijk. Zijn in verleden meerdere keren geweest. Met kamers op 1e etage. Hadden wij dit geweten zouden wij de reservering hebben geannuleerd. Jammer. Verstandig om bij reservering dit aan mensen te melden.

Reviewed Jul 2, 2026Decent sized room; good mattress on the bed. We stayed on one of the annex rooms across the street. Shower worked well. Friendly staff for breakfast & check-out. We did not eat at the restaurant but breakfast was fine (no hot food). The local Langrois cheese was good. No hotel parking but we parked for free in a square about 3 minutes away which was fine. You can drop your bags off at the hotel. No problem.
No air conditioning, but a fan was provided. Room was very warm at night making for a poor night's sleep. Pillows were too soft and again very warm: mine wrapped itself round my head so making me even hotter. The wash basin in the en-suite bathroom was tiny and unsuitable for washing / shaving: water went everywhere. The basin plunger was broken / missing so one could not fill it up. Although the shower worked well the cubicle grouting / sealant was old and grubby. Air extractor in the bathroom was very weak meaning the room got steamed up and very hot. Ideally it needs a new bathroom!

Room was a little small but perfectly functional. Staff all helpful and friendly. Indoor garage appreciated although it was very tight for a large car.

Kwaliteit van de hotelkamer, douchekraan defect. Geen airconditioning, koelkastje op de kamer niet functionerend. En dit op een zeer warme, 35+ graden dag en Nacht!

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026L'hôtel est aménagé dans une ancienne chapelle et offre pourtant des équipements et une déco très modernes. Le restaurant, avec belle terrasse extérieure, propose une cuisine excellente et raffinée dans un très beau cadre. Bravo au personnel également pour le service à table !
Le lit était un peu étroit pour 2 personnes. L'hôtel offre un parking intérieur, mais il faut faire attention à la largeur et à la longueur de son véhicule car les places sont assez petites ...

Located in the heart of an ancient fortified town, and seemingly very old with thick walls that once may have been part of a church. Real glasses in the room, and a real roomkey rather than a keycard. The restaurant is very good, too.
Just one very minor detail: It would be nice to unsqeak the doors of the rooms.

Das Personal war ziemlich unfreundlich (nur 1 Dame war freundlich) Nur ein Schlüssel pro Zimmer (für 3 Personen) Heizung nur lauwarm Brühend heisses Wasser beim Duschen Essen fein, aber sehr teuer und kleine Portionen Frühstück bescheiden (ein 2. Kaffee wurde nur sehr ungern nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen gebracht - und der 2. Kaffee war dann wirklich nicht trinkbar)
