All the staff were excellent. The setup for food is great with a small bar in the evening if you fancy a drink after being out for the evening.

Car park is tight but we managed fine.

I loved everything! The location is just on the other side of river from High street so there’s little noise or traffic. The bar is beautiful and cosy. The breakfast is excellent. I had a family room which was large, bright, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. The bathroom is small but fully modern and spotless. I had a lovely view and the best bed I’ve had in ages - very supportive but not rock hard. Particular compliments to the staff, who are very friendly, efficient, and didn’t hesitate to help with odd questions and requests. It was also very nice, in the age a private equity, to find there is an actual human owner on site, mucking in with the staff. But my favorite thing is simply temperature - it wasn’t too hot in the room! This is a problem I often struggle with in the UK. The modern radiators here adjust as expected and there are extra fans and heaters in the closet. P.S. Check out the Model Village while you’re here!

Pro Tip: When a nearby fire door was opened, it created a little pressure change that would cause my door to bang a little. I just stuffed a tissue between my door and its frame, and the problem was solved. Also be aware that the stairs are steep and there is no elevator. Consider asking for a ground floor room if stairs are an issue, but they will help you with your bags.

Sounds from the room upstairs come through rather loud, but that’s the case with all such buildings. Luckily the guests are quiet in general.

Great location and friendly staff. Bed was comfortable with the right amount of linens. Large towels. The room was very odd shaped and had a step down, but it was on the end, which was nice. Room 19, at the top of the stairs and down a hallway. Breakfast was excellent.

The hotel has a restaurant attached. We had great dinner there on the night we stayed, and their complimentary breakfast was also great.

Bourton-on-the-water is a bit touristy. Staff service could be warmer.

Perfect location with parking right in the centre. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. Bedroom was above the bar so abit noisy early evening but as we were going out it didnt matter and the bar was closed when we got back. No traffic noise but it was october. Maybe in the height of summer it is different.

There was a step just inside our room on the other side of the door. When we arrived i opening the door and before i found the light switch fell over. I could of really hurt myself. No notice saying mind the step. They appoligised and said i should of been told when checking in.

Lovely and clean hotel. All the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was good with plenty of selection.

Parking could be a challenge as the car park is a little tight on space but this wouldn’t put us off coming back.

Beyond noisy room. Room 16 overlooks the road outside and from before 6am there was lorries, and lots of loud talking not relaxing at all! Breakfast was average I asked for omlette, got a one word response of 'no' I opted for scrambled eggs on toast, it came with just the eggs on a plate! Toast came out separately, Poor service overall. Only one biscuit in the room between us! We also ate in the restaurant of the evening staff were lovely, food not great. Seafood risotto had no flavour, salmon Niçoise served with no green beans and not offered an alternative, lasagne and ceasar salad were ok.

We got a late breakfast slot but as we wanted to start early for our 8 hour walk we turned up early anyway and was accommodated on the day.

Unser Zimmer war stilvoll eingerichtet und das Bad war schön und neu. Das Restaurant ist mit italienischer Küche. Die Miesmuscheln und Der Barbereich war schön, um abends noch etwas zu trinken. Eine gute Auswahl an Gins. Die Lage und die Parkplätzen waren sehr gut.

Unser Zimmer lag im EG - die Kleiderschränke haben etwas gemuffelt. Das Frühstück war einfach - man musste sich ein Zeitfenster aussuchen. Die Tische waren etwas klebrig - das lag am Reinigungsmittel, vermuteten wir.

The hotel was perfectly located for a lovely stay in Bourton on the Water. The room was immaculate and had all the facilities that we needed. The breakfast was really good too.

That we were unable to get a drink from the bar at 21.40 as it had closed for the evening

Location is awesome, the food exceptional and the staff was the best of my 3 week vacation.

Everything about this place was first class. The staff especially Kristie were very accommodating. I was able to store my luggage before check in and Krissie recommended a walk to the Slaughters, helped me with my bag when I returned and suggested pictures around 6:00 PM after the crowds left and the lighting was brilliant. The restaurant staff made great recommendations for dinner and were very attentive. The room was clean and comfortable with still and sparking water plus biscuits to enjoy.

We had a problem with evening meal, tasteless and not enough fish ingredients, not a good response.

Very comfortable super king size bed plenty of towels and toiletries. Also bottled water and tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits. Lovely breakfast and also an Italian restaurant which was excellent.

We were in a ground floor room and the room above were quite loud and we were woken at 6am , heavy footsteps, banging doors ect .

The hotel is an older establishment so no air conditioning therefore in hot summer night the fan provided was not sufficient. Thankfully the night got better so I could sleep. This is very much from people who are used to air conditioning. If you are not it will be great.

A lovely, ideally situated hotel. Friendly staff, comfy room with a practical bathroom and fluffy towels. A hairdryer , tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is served with a smile and the selection is exceptional sourced from local businesses. A great base and location is perfect

This property was in the perfect location. The staff were very nice and helpful as was the breakfast in the morning and the pizza’s in the restaurant. We made a silly mistake of not having anywhere booked for dinner on Saturday night and the hotel allowed us to enjoy their delicious pizzas in the drinks area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A perfect location for a weekend in Bourton on the Water. The staff were very welcoming and our room was perfect. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious with a varied menu. We would definitely like to stay there again.

Room 18, fire escape room with fire door and window directly adjacent to our neighbours, too close for comfort. Room 18 allows you no comfort to sit and chill without curtains and blinds drawn at all times, maybe this is the reason they were drawn on our arrival! Most unsatisfied with this set up. Car park not large enough for the amount of guests, double parking issue. No coffee left for us on arrival in our room. On our 2nd night of staying we came downstairs to see if we could possibly eat at the Italian restaurant the time was 8pm, we were abruptly told with no compassion that they'd allocated all their seats , plenty of tables looked free with no reservation signs on them..we do understand that we maybe should have booked but I think the manor in which we were told was most unprofessional! At that point we could have quite happily got in the car and driven somewhere else for the night even if it was to drive back home. We spoke to numerous members of staff regarding our issues but no help...on the morning of leaving we had to wait for reception staff to start their duties before we could pay and depart . Your lovely early morning lady who does the breakfast did try to aid us but was unsuccessful...this lady is a credit to you. Would we return , not for Room 18 and no we wouldn't. Another issue is there is no shelving for toiletries in the bathroom.

The location is beautiful, and the hotel has a lovely rustic and cozy feel. Parking is available. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, and the bathroom is also very large.

I didn’t really like the breakfast. The rooms were quite warm, and even with the windows open, there wasn’t much air coming in. We used the fans, which helped a little, but they weren’t quite enough. Still, it was manageable.
