Restaurant staff was not co-operative, twice they didn't provided the proper breakfast - even agreed one evening before as we had to leave early morning - once for religious purpose and another day early check-out. River view and pool was also missing as mentioned in property description. Very close neighbourhood hotels.

**What did you like?** The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained and in a peaceful location. The rooms were clean throughout my stay, housekeeping did an excellent job, and the balcony mountain view (after I upgraded) was lovely. Terrakota has all the ingredients to be an excellent hotel.

**What didn't you like?** The biggest disappointment was that management consistently prioritized policies over guest experience. The King Room photos on multiple websites led me to expect a mountain view, but the allocated room faced another building. Instead of ACKNOWLEDGING that the photos could reasonably be misleading or offering a goodwill upgrade, I spent nearly 30 minutes negotiating. I was initially quoted ₹6,000 to upgrade and eventually paid ₹2,000 for all three nights. The same attitude appeared throughout my stay. After two mornings of tasteless tea, I requested one freshly prepared cup and was immediately told it would be chargeable. At checkout I was charged ₹200 for a misplaced room key card. These are small things financially, but together they reflect a service culture and mindset of the hotel staff, where policies seem to matter more than hospitality. Great hotels are remembered not because they strictly enforce every rule, but because they know when to put the guest first. Even the feedback process at checkout reflected this approach—instead of offering an anonymous feedback form, guests are asked to provide personal details such as their name, room number, birthday and anniversary. Honest feedback should be encouraged, not made to feel personally identifiable. Terrakota has a wonderful property, but hospitality is about making guests feel valued, not simply following policies.

Comfortable stay with good food Staff is very helpful

The location of the property was good and easily accessible. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel room looked clean and well maintained.

There was no wifi at the hotel. Which was very inconvenient for us. Although the hotel staff tried to help with connecting, it didn’t work at all. Also, they was no hot water in the morning, they only fixed it after complaining about it.

The single bedroom was so small as compared to what was shown in the pictures.

The hotel is clean and the room is comfortable for sure. It is kind of close to Laxman Jhula. It is about 10 minutes walk to the place. If you want to see the Ganga river from your room, then this is not the hotel for you.

The food could have been better. However, the staff in the restaurant is great. The pictures on internet showed that there is a Ganga view available from the yoga hall. However, that is an incorrect picture. You have to walk atleast 10 minutes to get a view of the river.

Location road is very narrow when we entered for hotel. Rest of thing's are very good.

- The room is very clean and tidy - closer to laxman jhula

- The hotel is surrounded by other buildings in close proximity with zero view. You can't even keep your windows open or sit in the balcony. If you are in your room you need to keep everything closed.. - We paid 6k per day for 3 days and it was absolutely not worth the money. It's more like 3 to 3.5 k - AC vents in the balcony blowing out hot air. I mean why even have the balcony if you are hot air blowing on your face

Cleanliness of the property is good. Food quality was excellent.

The hotel is in walkable distance to half of the happening places in Rishikesh. It is covered with amazing cafes within 10 min walks. The ambience and room is very good. The service and cleaning was also very good. The breakfast and food is also okay but could be better. Overall, perfect place to stay to explore Rishikesh.

Good location. quiet, nice, clean rooms, actual hotel (not too popular around here)

Sheets were stained even after change. Some staff people don’t understand English as they claim, which can be problematic with requests.

Have stayed here before, it was a terrible experience- propert has deteriorated a lot because of no maintenance

Service- Deepak at the front desk was outright ride, highlighted seepage issues- and he was upfront and commented ‘this is what it is, you can take your refund and go’- We literally took it and stayed at the next door property only because of his behaviour.

Thoughtful small gestures provided in the bathroom! There’s a clothesline for drying wet clothes (after rafting mostly) antiskid mat provided for elderly in the bath area. The dining area and outdoor garden seating is very well made!

Staff is lesser to bring your luggage. They sent one man for getting bags of 6 people

The room is clean, staff are friendly.

The twin bed room is a very small for 2 adults. There is no space for layout our luggages.

It was clean, comfortable and perfect for a couple stya. The staff at reception while checking out was also helpful.

While checking in, tried calling the reception but no one picked up. There was just a bell boy who helped for checking in.

Staff was very unhelpful. They stopped taking dinner order at 9.30pm. not even basic Daal chawal. During check in they said last order punch in will be 10.30pm. Location in app is misleading. It a very narrow lane. At 11.45am we were given a deadline of checking out at 12.30, else the half day Price would be charged. Even in making them understand that people are stuck in rafting due to traffic ..we were literally forced to check out. Even though a new check in happens at 2pm. Not friendly for female solo travelers.

The staff on reception was very unfriendly, offered breakfast on a twice higher price than on website. Very noise air conditioning are something else

I was told that i would get a packed breakfast in the morning . but later on find out that there was a communication gap between the front desk and kitchen. when reminded about it in the evening , they refused to do anything about it. They were completely unapologetic . Maybe thats the normal way for them !!!

Room was not ready . The luggage was kept in the lobby unattended ( almost )as i had arrived slightly earlier than the checkin time of 2.00 pm. The least they could do was to atleast offer a glass of water.

Great location to yoga, restaurants, temples , la man jula bridge and the Ganges.

Good breakfast. Food options for other times were also good. Some time due to the non-availability of the Chef, we could not try few dishes again. Nice comfortable room. Staff were accomodative of few requests whih was nice.

THe reception had no idea of when the breakfast would close. It seemed odd that they would not know.

Flights from Rishikesh to places like Mumbai are generally in the evening. The hotel refused to accommodate late check out

The rooms were really nice . Bed was particulary comfortable and the shower had a great stream and plenty of hot water. Breakfast had a rich variety and even included a pretty good espresso.

The window of the rooms at least on my side was directly across the balconies of another hotel, so basicaly I had to keep my curtains closed the whole time, as there were always people on these balconies... The restuarant was nice but a bit expensive. Food could have been better (though was overall good).

Very clean linens and rooms. I most appreciated how queit it was in a super busy area because it was tucked away in a little alley way.

Breakfast is served at 8. I would have give this property a 10 if they just obliged to make me a little something for breakfast earlier as a hospitality gesture.

Everything was great

This is the genuine feedback: We were for 03 days 02 nights on BB basis.. The hotel staff and receptionist were helpful. The breakfast quality and taste were fantastic. The garden area is comfortable with the view of mountains. I definitely recommend staying next year.

The cons, I would say is the location.. It's too long a walk from the main Road to the hotel to search for transport. But it is nearer to Laxman Jhula.
