The staff are very efficient & friendly. The restaurant is excellent with super tasty food. Parking was easy and the view was nice.

Just to be aware as the property is quirky but really a house converted. The lack of soundproofing you can hear every conversations/ noises from other guests ! The room is very very compact, 1-2 nights just enough for us.

The view from the window was fun to watch with some big ships passing by. The Bosun itself was a lovely pub restaurant with good food which is a relief as there is nowhere else to eat within walking distance. It tended to quieten down fairly early and wasn't noisy to us (our room was first floor above the pub). The beds were comfortable and the breakfast good. Staff all great.

A bit noisy very early on Monday morning when the kegs were delivered! The room was very compact and the bathroom slightly dated.

We only stayed one night, hard to judge appropriately but the front desk had no one there at check out and calling the line (as instructed) from the lobby to ask a couple of questions and no one answered so a bit strange. We just left.

Staff were so kind and friendly, even gave my daughter treats to bring to her gaa matches and even offered a lift if we were stuck

The breakfast each morning was wonderful. We appreciated the fresh coffee and the menu options. My son enjoyed the full Irish breakfast while I preferred just eggs and toast. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We had a wonderful dinner at the pub that was attached to the restaurant was wonderful as well. We enjoyed waking up and looking out at the river each morning.

I would have liked USB ports in the room. Also, it was quite warm when we were there and the way window open was from the top, making it difficult to feel a breeze at night.

Had a wonderful stay! Beautiful area overlooking the harbor. Spacious rooms and a wonderful breakfast. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Not many restaurants in the area and no grocery stores. But was only there for two nights so it was no real issue for me.

All of the staff were amazing from signing in to getting myself fed and watered the morning after.

Comfort really depends on which room you get. My room facing the kitchen was very noisy early until late with sometimes bad smells. There is no breeze so the room becomes stiflingly hot, since it faces the afternoon sun. And of course the view is awful. Also it had one of the worst showers I’ve ever encountered - more like a hose than a shower. Some of the people who work there, including the manager, seem grim and unhappy about dealing with customers. And bring your own hand soap. I was very unhappy in this room.

I liked everything about it. Chole is so wonderful. It was just fantastic from the time we arrived and lunch in the Restaurant on Sunday was simply the Best. Thank you.

Comfy bed and room size was good. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. I'd definitely recommend the restaurant next door.

Old toilet so the flush was not good. The room was warm. Not many TV channels available.

Location was fabulous. Middle of the hill to walk up to the fortress Cathedral town and walk down to the veevy active Place Dalton.

Good comfortable room. Carpark across the road. On bus route into Cork. Breakfast was included and was very good.

Our room was on 4th floor and although there was a lift to the 3rd floor we did have to carry our cases up a short flight of stairs to the 4th floor. Check-in is strictly 3pm so don't arrive before then.

Location is perfect. People are dedicated to make your stay as nice as possible. It’ s an old hotel but with everything you need.

The shower head in one of our room was full of mold. Our rooms were not in the apartment biulding, they were over the restaurant and we had to enter throuhg the backdoors of the restaurant. One of the rooms smelled really bad. The wifi was bad. The breakfast didnt taste really good. For the price we paid we are really disappointed.

The food was stunning, I made it to the hotel 5 minutes before closing due to a long drive. The staff were very friendly and the kitchen managed to sort me out some food despite my late arrival. The Cajun chicken wrap was delicous. Breakfast did not dissapoint either, smoke salmon and scrambled eggs cooked to prefection. 10/10 would recommend.

Das Badezimmer ist sehr klein. Es ist leider bis spät abends ziemlich laut. Das Frühstück kann gewählt werden und ist mit einem Buffet nicht zu vergleichen.

A fuir en temps de canicule si on a une chambre sous le toit. Environnement très bruyant, soit les bruits du bar d’un côté soit les bruits d’une machinerie de l’autre.

The staff could not be more friendly or helpful. They X10 the experience of staying in the Bosun. Also the food and wine are of an exceptional standard for a very reasonable price. Altogether a warm friendly atmosphere with quality food and excellent service.

I think I was in one of the two old rooms that haven’t been refurbished yet so a bit old fashioned but everything you need is there and still very comfortable

The staff were great the room for the price was far below standard. Perhaps the rooms at the front facing the river would have been more acceptable. Our room gave onto the noisy ventilation system from the restaurant and, with the windows open, the smell of cooking was strong.

Wonderful location with free parking across the road.

The room was quite small but efficient for what I needed as a single traveller. If there were two of us this particular room would have been quite crowded. The gluten free options for breakfast were very limited with gluten free bread being the only alternative to the regular menu.

Exceptional staff and good breakfast , beautifully cleaned room every day.

Seems to be a generator nearby if you are a light sleeper this will be audible to you. Radiator didn’t work for the cold night, hotel alarm went off and took too long to be turned off lost a nights sleep before a long day of travel.

Great shower in the attic

Noisy neighbours coming in at half past midnight, then the fire alarm going off at 1am with no members of staff on hand to assist or reset it, surely a health and safety issue as only half the residents actually came to the exit!!!
