Heaven Stay

Room size is small. Water was dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom and soap holder was fully rusted. Main issue is room is small. For 1 person it's fine but for 2 people with 2-3 luggages even walking in the room becomes an issue.

breakfast was not opted but homemade food was available on pre-order. Good thing is that the property is neat and clean and for overnight stay is good, specially for budget travellers its a value for money. Closer to the airport best for early flights hours, but one must carry their own toiletries.

The Owner and Caretaker ( Sandeep ) was a very very good person and very helpful. This is a Homestay style of hotel and rooms on second floor There is no lift though but it’s not that much issue but for older age/ senior citizen may be little challenging. It is situated within 1km of Airport and you can walk to the airport and 5km radius of Corbyns Cove beach and Cellular Jail. Our stay was very nice and we are very happy. Sandeep can arrange ( Auto, Rental scooty ) and you don’t need to take tension about it and that’s the best part because in season time it’s difficult to get Scooty there due to rush.

Our 8-day stay at Heaven Stay was absolutely wonderful and truly hassle-free. The guidance and support we received from Mr. Umar and Mrs. Sabeena throughout the trip made everything so smooth. From helping us arrange transportation to suggesting destinations and activities, they went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, combining a homely vibe with the quality of a top-notch hotel. The homemade meals were delicious and prepared with so much care, adding a personal touch to our stay. What made it even better was how reasonably priced it was compared to other hotels and homestays in the area—an absolute value for money! To foreigners who prefer to pay by credit card to avoid ATM or conversion charges: Their policy claimed that they accepted credit cards, which was one of the reasons I chose the place. However, when I got there, I was told their credit card machine was broken and I had to pay cash. I showed them their property's policy listed on booking.com, but it didn't matter. Their solution to the problem was that I should go to an ATM. They proposed that solution several times. I proposed that they should get a credit card machine that worked so that they could honor their policy. Before it came time to pay the bill, I had said I would stay a second night, but when they insisted on cash I pulled out of a second night. At that point they told me that they could get a credit card machine from one of their other properties if I stayed the second night. I told them that they could have done that the first night and left for a different hotel.

Stuff does not speak english, so a bit difficult to explain smth. Rejects to return small change of cash payment.

The hotel manager was nice though and it was relatively close to the airport which was the main purpose.

There were stains on the bed and hair on the sheets and pillows. The bathroom didn’t look clean, the water in the toilet was yellow, there was hair in the sink, no toilet paper and only one towel for a 2pax reservation. Power kept going out so it was really hot at night because the AC wasn’t working. There was only one plug in the whole bedroom. The walls were so thin you could hear everything at night and the blackouts were miserable.

I recently stayed at this homestay and had a wonderful experience! The staff were incredibly cooperative and supportive, always polite and ready to assist with anything I needed. I really appreciated their helpfulness. The rooms were decent and clean, with a modern feel due to the relatively new construction. The space was well-maintained and looked great. If you’re considering a place to stay, I highly recommend it—go ahead and book your stay!

While I had a great overall experience, there were a couple of minor drawbacks—though I’d consider them nitpicking. For first-time visitors, the location can be a bit tricky to find, so it’s best to rely on Google Maps. Also, the homestay is on upper floors, which could be challenging for seniors or those with joint pain. However, these are small concerns compared to the fantastic service and clean accommodations.

My Ummer and his assistant Mr Sandeep are exceptionally warm people who stay out of your way, yet are always available. The place is a quaint place with all basic requirements and the staff help with anything that's required. We were provided cutlery and a table for food ordered from outside, which was a particularly touching gesture.

We stayed here three times for a total of 8 nights. It represents fantastic value for money and is very close to the airport but only a 150 rupee auto rickshaw fare to Aberdeen Bazar, Cellular Jail etc. There's a spotlessly clean kitchen available with crockery and utensils, fridge, microwave etc. Our room had a kettle for hot drinks. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious and the bathroom impeccably clean. There is both a ceiling fan and aircon in the room and some rooms have access to a balcony. The whole place is fresh and pleasant to be in. Best of all are the staff. They were helpful in booking bus and boat tickets, and arranged for a scooter to be delivered at a reasonable rate. They did all this simply to help us and didn't collect a commission. Manager, Ummer, is both an interesting and interested man and will happily give advice on places to go and things to do. His assistant, Sandeep, was always pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The best value accommodation we have experienced in 8 months travelling. Highly recommended.

It’s so much value for money that it became one of the best decision I took during the trip. The staff helped in arranging tours and bargained on our behalf. The deals were really good. We had some locals friends for dinner and we were able to host them as if we were home.

The room was newly furbished. We enjoyed the comfortable new bed and crisp new sheets. The tv channels were extensive and we watched a number of movies. The air conditioning was very efficient. The room was very clean.

There was no teaspoons. There was no toilet paper. The bathroom was a wet room but did not have a floor squeegee. The room did not have a view. The cockerel woke us up at 5.30am.

Cleanliness and location

Outstanding place to stay in port blair. Got a homely atmosphere including with a luxurious stay. Hospitality was great. Breakfast was delicious, felt like homemade food. Highly recommend!!

Everything was perfect

Location is just near the airport within 1km. Neat n clean rooms, size of room was good, basic amenities were present. Arranged for breakfast at 6:30 am as we have to catch early morning flight.

Kitchen is under renovation, you have to order food from outside or tell manager they ll arrange for you.

Staff was extremely helpful and polite. Stay was very clean and hygienic. Location also very near to the airport.
