One of the best stays we ever had. The images of the villa and the view don’t even come close to how it looks in real. Beautiful sunset view, huge pool, jacuzzi by the cliff and generous indoor space. The breakfast was excellent and the host went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. Thank you!

The location is beyond amazing. The suite was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed in, private pool and Jacuzzi and the staff went above and beyond to make it even more unique experience! The breakfast was delivered in our room daily and it was ROYAL! The manager, Nick, was there for anything, practically 24/7! Best time of my life probably!

Ci è piaciuto praticamente tutto, ma il vero punto di forza di questo hotel è senza dubbio la vista: semplicemente spettacolare e vale da sola ogni euro speso. È davvero difficile stancarsi di un panorama così! Il personale è molto cordiale e disponibile; una menzione particolare va ai ragazzi della sala, sempre gentili, sorridenti e attenti. Nel complesso abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno davvero piacevole e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti della nostra scelta.

Das Zimmer war nie wirklich sauber. Das Fitnessstudio ist in einem anderen Hotel über die Straße. Das Frühstück hatte zu wenig Auswahl. Das Mittagessen war nicht gut. Wir sind um 7:30 Uhr von einer Reinigungsdame geweckt worden. Der Pool hat erst ab 11:00 Uhr offen.

Las vistas, las vistas, las piscinas y el servicio de restaurante es lo mejor. Las personas del staff del hotel son muy amables y se esfuerzan por que te sientas como en casa.

Las habitaciones son un poco pequeñas para un hotel de esta categoria. La ubicacion es muy buena para las vistas de la caldera pero hay que moverse por la isla hay que buscar transporte. Hay servicio shutle a Fira pero solo 4 salidas y 4 regresos por dias. Deberian incrementar la frecuencia.

Utsikten var spektakulær, og er en av hovedgrunnene til at man bør velge dette hotellet. Personalet var svært hyggelige og behjelpelige. Det var rent og pent overalt, og det virket som at de som vasket passet på at man var borte da de rengjorde; det var veldig behagelig. Det går shuttlebuss til byen, dette hjalp veldig. Bra trykk i dusjen. Fremstår som et kvalitetshotell.

Frokosten var grei, men til dette prisnivået hadde vi forventet bedre frokost. Kanskje noen som lagde ferdigretter som omelett, pannekaker eller liknende. Det burde vært mer fruktutvalg. Det var en del bakevarer som så dårlig ut, bananfluer var på de hjemmelagde kjeksene hver dag. Rommene var OK, men igjen; for dette prisnivået hadde vi forventet noe bedre kvalitet. Junior suite var omtrent det man forventer i et vanlig 3-stjerners hotell i Europa, typ prisklasse 150 EUR natten. Her kostet det dobbelte. Men utsikten er selvsagt vanskelig å slå. Selv med shuttlebussen var lokasjonen litt plundrete. Må innom Fira for å ta annen lokal buss, litt for langt å gå, så man var noe avhengig av shuttlebuss siden taxi er så dyrt. Men tidspunktene på shuttlebussen var få og på litt dumme tidspunkter. Det burde f.eks. gått en shuttlebuss tilbake fra Fira slik at man rakk solnedgangen, og en shuttlebuss til litt senere på kvelden.

From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything exceeded our expectations. Volcano View truly made our trip to Santorini even more special, and a huge part of our amazing experience is thanks to the incredible people working there. From the very first moment, we were welcomed so warmly by the receptionist, who was exceptionally kind, professional, and always willing to help with anything we needed. We would especially like to thank Kostas, Petros, and Sofia. Their genuine kindness, positive energy, and outstanding service made every single day brighter. They always put a smile on our faces and gave us the best possible start to each morning. Together with the rest of the team, they made us feel like we had found a second family. Saying goodbye to such wonderful people was honestly one of the hardest parts of leaving Santorini. We wish them nothing but the very best—they truly deserve it. The hotel itself is exceptional—spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and with breathtaking views of the caldera. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options, and the pool area was peaceful, relaxing, and never felt overcrowded. Every single member of the staff we met was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. Their hospitality made us feel truly valued throughout our stay. O melhor lugar que eu poderia escolher e ficar! O hotel superou minhas expectativas em todos os quesitos, tudo perfeito e impecável. O hotel é enorme, todos os quartos na beira da caldeira e com vista para o mar, um verdadeiro sonho. O hotel é tão grande que a gente tem que se cuidar pra não subir na escada do quarto errado kkkk os colaboradores todos queridos, super atenciosos e receptivos, pessoal do restaurante sempre com sorriso no rosto e super gentis e queridos, a comida uma delícia! O melhor hotel que eu poderia escolher, pretendo voltar pra Santorini e ficar no mesmo hotel, foi um sonho. O quarto sempre bem limpo e arrumado, com cheirinho de amaciante… podem fechar de olhos fechados e sem medo, vale muito a pena! Ahhhhhh, o hotel tem um microônibus que leva e busca os hóspedes do hotel até o centro de fira, umas 3 ou 4 vezes por dia, e está incluso no pacote. O hotel é um sonho e surreal.

Une vue à couper le souffle, certainement l’une des plus belles de Santorin, vu que c’est ma quatrième visite sur l’île. Les chambres sont d’une propreté irréprochable, spacieuses et confortables. Le petit-déjeuner est très bon, avec beaucoup de choix en salé et sucré. Le service au restaurant est top, avec une mention spéciale pour Costa et Sofia, dont le sourire et l’énergie sont un vrai bonheur.

Les points d’amélioration pour moi sont infimes, mais je les partage quand même : nous avons trouvé la literie un peu dure, donc un matelas plus moelleux serait plus approprié. À la piscine, la playlist n’est pas très alignée avec le calme des lieux, il faudrait quelque chose de plus doux, et de plus mélodieux pour permettre à chacun de profiter et de se reposer.

The hotel's view was absolutely incredible. The pool and all the other facilities were excellent. The restaurant staff were extremely attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. We would especially like to thank Kostas and Petros—they were warm, welcoming, and wonderful people. As for the location, there are supermarkets and other useful amenities nearby. The hotel is about a 30-minute walk from the center of Fira, but it offers a shuttle service at scheduled times, making it easy and convenient to get to the town center.

Le panorama sur la Caldeira est époustouflant! C'est un très bel hôtel, typique de l'architecture de Santorin. Le personnel a été très accueillant durant tout notre séjour, que ce soit à l'accueil, au petit déjeuner, au bar de la piscine ou au restaurant. La navette gratuite jusqu'à Fira est très pratique et toujours ponctuelle. Le petit déjeuner est très bon, ainsi que le restaurant, le tout dans un cadre magnifique.

La chambre un peu petite, il manquerait une machine à café et une bouilloire.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and kept clean at all times. ALL the staff are super friendly and helpful and very efficient at their jobs. Spectacular sunsets from this location. The pool area has stunning views across to the volcano and distance islands and there is always something to watch in the bay below. We were in room 177 that had the most gorgeous private balcony and a picture window in the shower that was fantastic when showering looking out across the ocean. We hired a quad from the guy across the road that we really enjoyed and the guy was brilliant. Hotel runs a shuttle bus into Fira and returns 4 times a day

Same music playing around the pool area daily. We had room 177 and the light from the external steps shone directly into our window that had no blind or curtains. I improvised but felt guilty. Shuttle bus times are not convenient. It is a fair walk from Fira.

The hotel has beautiful views, and the free shuttle service to the city several times a day was very convenient. The breakfast was also excellent, with a good variety of options. Although our first room wasn’t what we expected, the staff handled the situation very well. We were first moved to another room and later, after reporting a broken power socket, the front desk manager upgraded us to a much better corner room. It had an amazing view, was significantly quieter, and made our stay much more enjoyable. In this final room, we couldn’t hear any noise from the bar, the stairs, or anywhere else, which made a huge difference. There was also a second swimming pool nearby that was peaceful, cleaner, and much less crowded than the main pool.

Our initial room had a view of other hotel rooms instead of the sea. The room also felt a bit dated and wasn’t as clean as expected. One of the power outlets next to the bed was broken, and although the maintenance team tried to fix it, it couldn’t be repaired. Noise insulation could definitely be improved. In the first rooms, we could hear people using the stairs, noise from a nearby electrical room, and music from the bar above our room until late at night. The main swimming pool could also be maintained better, as it didn’t appear to be cleaned thoroughly.

Getting to the hotel from airport was rather expensive (shuttle costs 35 EUR for 15 minute trip). Hotel is rather isolated on very busy road, so not very pedestrian friendly. Felt like hotel staff were frequently trying to upsell residents with certain excursions or a Thursday night special at the restaurant with a musician (who honestly was average at best). The hotel restaurant felt overpriced and average in terms of food quality.

Nothing at all

Wonderful views—truly breathtaking. All the rooms face both the ocean and the volcano. The apartments are very nice and private, with comfortable beds and excellent air conditioning, which is especially important during the hot Santorini summer at the end of June. At reception, the team is very helpful—they provide a map, offer great suggestions, and assist in coordinating tours. I highly recommend Harry, our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the island’s history and Greek culture, friendly, and took us to a delicious local restaurant where we experienced authentic Greek cuisine.

Probably the only drawback is the stairs. While the staff assists you with your luggage on arrival and departure, there are still quite a few steps between the lobby and the apartments.

I made my reservation several months in advance. I discovered a week or so before my stay that the rate for my stay was 2 x as much as what was available closer to the reservation date. When I discussed this with the hotel, they said my inquiry was too late to receive the discount. I then requested an upgrade to my room. At first, they were equivocal, but the they agreed to upgrade my room to a Junior Suite. However, upon arrival, we did not receive the accommodations promised. No minibar, etc. This was very disappointing and I realize now we did not get value for our money.

Beautiful views, and the staff was very friendly and helpful my entire stay there

There was mold in different parts of my room, especially in both bathrooms which is a health concern. I didn’t like how the toilets continuously run after you use them and you have to keep pushing on them to try and get the water to stop running. Also, they provide shuttle service however it only runs every so often which is very inconvenient so you have to pay the taxi service which is €15 if you miss it.

The hotel arranged taxi transfer failed to pick us up when we arrived by ferry. We had to arrange our own transport. The hotel was ok but was certainly not a 5 star or even a 4 star establishment. Rooms were very basic and not properly cleaned (hair all over the place), bottled water & coffee pods in the rooms was not replaced daily. Cappuccinos at breakfast was an extra charge. The hotel shuttle into Fira ran infrequently and finished too early at 8pm.

This still is my favourite hotel in the world. Everything about it is 5 stars. The location. The staff. The rooms. Thank you to the wonderful staff who made our stay! :) I keep coming back and there’s a reason! It’s a consistent 5 star luxury holiday at the edge of the Caldera. The pools are amazing. The staff that made my stay: Niko, Petros, Kostis, George. We miss your smiles already! Looking forward to next time.

This was my third time staying at Volcano view and I loved every minute of my stay as always! :) The food is fantastic. The view is breathtaking and I still am amazed at what a good location the hotel is right at the edge of the caldera. The live music evening is a highlight. The staff are consistently fantastic. A special mention to the manager who is present and always ensuring guests are well looked after. And the breakfast staff Petros, Kostis and George at the pool. Thank you again for a wonderful stay! :)

I don't know that I have ever had a more helpful staff. We traveled with a group and they catered to our needs, made helpful suggestions and stayed involved in making our stay wonderful. Location - It's a little more that a mile from Fira but they have a shuttle and it was great to stay away from town and have unobstructed views of the caldera. the property - Wow. every bit as pretty as the pictures. great views from the rooms, restaurant, pools. a great experience.

Breathtaking views. Immaculate property. Very kind staff. The food at the restaurant was great (albeit a bit pricey.) I appreciated being able to use the gym at a sister property.

Not the property’s fault, but I probably should have rented a car because it wasn’t super close to other restaurants and the hotel restaurant was a bit above our budget to eat there frequently.

Wish the rooms had a couch for sitting, and more bathroom and towel hooks. Pool is not heated and a tour group/ party group of 25 came and took over the pool area so that you didn’t feel comfortable to use it.

We had the best time! The views are immaculate! Breakfast was amazing and the staff is SO SO wonderful and accommodating and go above and beyond. It’s just outside Fira but you can walk or take one of the shuttles the hotel offers! I loved every minute of it!

the staff was not able to provide correct information regarding the time it would take by public bus to get to the airport ( time is 10 Minutes). it seemed like they were pushing to schedule a taxi which costs 40 Euro for a 8 minute drive while the bus costs 2 Euro per person. since the hotel is outside of the town and there are no restaurant and shops in the hotel area it would have been great to have more availability of the shuttle bus to Fira and back

Magnifique vue

The views were possibly the best in Santorini, and (far better than Oia), this is the best position in Santorini for the sunset. If you are going to Santorini to see the views and sunset, I highly recommend Volcano Views by Caldera. All the rooms have magnificent views. I spent hours, days, and weeks researching hotels and trying to find the perfect hotel in Santorini, and fortunately, I found it! This hotel is a quintessential Santorini experience. I thought the hotel was in Fira, but it isn't; it's a fair distance (not far) outside the centre. However, the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service at 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, and 20:00 that operates very efficiently. It's a joy to be out of the bustling centre of both Fira and Oia, which was so busy we couldn't move in the narrow alleyways, and return to a haven of peace and tranquility. The staff are lovely and so pleasant, working hard to ensure that guests have an enjoyable time and a comfortable stay. Thank you to them all! I liked the ambience of the hotel; most of the time, it was quiet, which is what we need to absorb the phenomenal beauty of what we see. Please note that there are no lifts and quite a few stairs.

I arranged an airport transfer, which was good, specifically a very comfortable car; the driver was visible on arrival and lovely, but the vehicle had rubbish/plastic wrappers in front of me. Getting into a car with rubbish made me feel uncomfortable, and it was not a good start or impression of the hotel. I recommend that the hotel or driver check the car for rubbish before passengers get in. The bedroom had an overpowering mouldy smell when I entered; it had not been aired or checked ahead of arrival ie windows not opened or AC on and must have been closed for a while. Initially, the front desk said it was normal and the smell would go away, but I said I couldn't stay in the room and that it wasn't normal. They moved me to another room. I recommend the hotel check the rooms for freshness before guests arrive. My stay was too short, so I didn't have the opportunity to experience the pools or hotel facilities. I wish I had of stayed a couple of more days and will definitely choose Volcano Views by Caldera again.
