사장님이 정말 친절하세요. 숙박후에 정말 후기를 꼭 써서 추천하고 싶다는 마음이 들 정도로 친절하세요. 일층 까페도 좋고, 혼자 차 없이 여행하는데도 화엄사나 상가가 가까워서 너무 편했어요.

Hôtel charmant, dans un lieu paisible entre campagne et montagne. Un propriétaire très attentionné qui fait tout pour vous rendre le séjour confortable ! Un peu à l'écart de Gurye, mais à deux pas du splendide temple Hwaeomsa et de l'arrêt du bus qui va à Nogodan. Quelques cafés et restaurants locaux juste à côté... et un agréable foot spa !

It was right next to a hiking start point. Beautiful scenery and a river running right behind the property. The rooms are very well equipped with ample storage space. We found the staff incredibly kind and helpful. It was such an amazing nature stay while still being relatively close to the city's restaurants. We would stay here again!

One of the most memorable stays we've ever had — and it's all thanks to our incredible host. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a warmth and generosity that felt so genuinely Korean — the kind of heartfelt hospitality that you read about but rarely experience firsthand. Our host went above and beyond in every possible way, always making sure we felt comfortable, cared for, and at home. The hotel itself was excellent — clean, well-appointed, and maintained to a great standard. But the location is what truly sets it apart. We were just a short walk from a breathtaking temple, surrounded by beautiful nature, and with wonderful local restaurants right on the doorstep. Everything you could want was within easy reach. We will absolutely be back. Highest possible recommendation – a truly special place made even more special by the person running it.

Newly renovated, exceptionally clean, and excellent location and value for hikers expecting to tackle Nogodan and Mt Jiri or Buddhists hoping to be near Hwaeom Temple. The owner was v kindly, attentive, and hospitable. Ask him for help and local intel if the Korean reservation sys is confusing. The downstairs coffee shop is a great area to rest, use the restroom, or fill up on water. Also, the mountain food at the many nearby restaurants was stunning

Sound travels easily through the hallways and windows. Be aware and prepare for that w earplugs if need be, then it's okay.

Big windows to open for fresh air with great location for good food and offering little things that people may forget to bring such as tooth brush and paste ^&^ and, I was able to get sweets from their cafe.

The sink in bathroom made a bit noise when water ran down the pipe.

The location is just perfect to explore Hweomsa Temple and its surrounding area. The owner/host, Mr. So is a great host to help us out when we needed a taxi. He also made us feel very welcome since this is our second stay at this hotel.

Our mattress was pretty hard.

Emplacement super pour découvrir Hwaeomsa, à pied depuis l'hôtel, et aller marcher dans Jirisan, à condition d'avoir un vehicule. Pas de bus et peu de taxis circulent dans le coin. Un bon choix de restaurants tout près de l'hôtel. Chambre très agréable, bien équipée, lumineuse. Personnel sympathique.

가성비 최고, 위치 최고 호텔: Jirisan Sunlight hotel is one of the best hotels we ever stayed. Here is why. 1. Location: very conveniently located. Easy access to many places. 10 minutes to bus terminal, 20 minutes to the train station by driving. You can take bus to those places easy. Bus stop to Sungsamjae (that’s where you start Nogodan peak) is also close by. one mile to Hwaeomsa temple. Walkway to Hwaeomsa is covered mostly with deck along the creek. Very pleasant walk anytime of the day. 2. Hotel is very clean and quiet. They must have remodeled recently. 3. Hotel owner/operator is friendly and eager to help you with anything. 4. Lots of good restaurants are only steps away. They even serve breakfast which is quite unusual in Korea. We had best fried chicken from 또래오래 restaurant across the street. I always believed in ‘you get what you pay for’ but that does not apply to this hotel. You get a lot more than what you pay for.

Close to the temple and many restaurants. The balcony looks onto the running creek. Beautiful views!! And the owner is very kind!!!

지리산 화엄사 입구와 가까워서 (도보 가능) 지리산 갈 때 묵기 좋아요. 테라스와 야외 테이블도 있고 밖에 물도 흐르던데 오래 즐기고 가지 못해서 아쉽습니다. 객실 청결상태도 아주 좋고 침구류도 편안했어요.

드라이기가 약한 편이에요.

Great location for getting to Hwaeomsa and Jirisan NP. Arrived quite late but key with instructions was left clearly by manager so we could easily get into our room. Room warm and clean with good views up the valley. Plenty of restaurants and a convenience store just down the valley for supplies.

Plastic undersheet made the bed a little uncomfortable. Early season for this hotel so difficult to fully judge the amenities (e.g. no food).

The hotel is very comfortable and in a great position but most of all, our host has been the most helpful and generous hotel manager that could we could have hoped for - thank you very much!

Welcoming host and beautiful room

The owner is very pleasant, welcoming and very helpful! I love my room! there is nothing lacking in the room for an enjoyable and stress free stay. The atmosphere and vibe of the room is very relaxing and the sound of water in the stream is very nice. I was able to sleep very well for 2 nights after a stressful week. For serious hikers, the trail to Nogodan peak is very accessible from the hotel. You do not need a car to get to the jump off point at the Hwaeomsa Temple. I will surely come back and stay at this hotel for a longer period of time.

The property itself was good, quiet and clean. I wish there are more things to do around the area. My main purpose was to visit a temple nearby, so it was perfect for me.

Hotel employee was exceptionally kind, and the room was spacious and clean.

The staff is really nice. Can't be located any better if you want to visit Hwaeomsa temple or hike to nogodan peak at Jirisan. The rooms are very spacious, bed is big and the bathroom is very nice. You have several restaurants right next to it, the bus stop is 2min away, and if you walk 5-10min down the road a 7eleven

The location, at the entrance to the Hwaeom-sa Buddhist Temple on the slope of Mr. Jiri is nationally famous, deservedly so. Our hotel room was situated beside a rushing stream, facing a verdant mountain. In the evening, sitting on the room balcony beneath the moon and stars, while sipping fine green tea produced from the local wild tea plants, it's impossible not to find quiet bliss. The hotel has one unique attraction: the owner, Mr. Jae So, is an internationally prominent artist, who crafts amazing designs out of traditional Korean paper. In the hotel lounge are to be seen some of his best work, and on many days it's possible to have a conversation with the artist himself.
