Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Viehättävä paikka Nivalan asemalla. Lapsena olen odottanut junaa niissä tiloissa, joissa nyt on hotellin yhteydessä oleva vohvelikahvila. Persoonalliset huoneet, hyvä aamupala ja ystävällinen omistaja, joka sai viihtymään.
Muistisairaan puolison kanssa matkustaessa wc huoneen yhteydessä on olennainen. Se on vain isoimmassa huoneessa, mutta tällä kertaa se toimi meille hyvin.

Reviewed Oct 9, 2025Hotelli Huiskakorpi on tunnelmallinen majoituspaikka vanhassa asemarakennuksessa. Täysin erilainen kuin persoonattomat ketjuhotellit. Huoneet ovat suuria, valoisia ja siistejä. Aamiainen oli runsas ja maukas.
Kyseessä on entinen asemarakennus, joka sijaitsee aivan junaradan vieressä. Ajoittain ohi pyyhki pitkiä, kolisevia tavarajunia, jotka herättivät yöllä pari kertaa. Muuten huoneet olivat mukavan hiljaisia.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2025Erittäin viihtyisä ja mielenkiintoinen paikka. Historiaa kunnioittava, miellyttävä miljöö. Erittäin ystävällinen palvelu, ihan mieletön aamupala, kodinomainen majoitus, mikä oli todellakin meidän mieleen kaikintavoin. Junat eivät untamme häirinneet.
Tälläistä asiaa ei meidän majoituksemme sisältänyt millään muotoa. Odotuksemme jopa ylittyivät.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2025Cozy feeling of staying as a guest in a house, didn't really feel like a hotel. The breakfast was made when we wished. We forgot to buy beer with the dinner that we ate out in the garden but we asked the owner if he had any beer we could buy and he immediately offered us some from his own fridge which was super nice. Even though the toilet and the bathroom were shared, it didn't really matter since there were not many guests. The bathroom was very big with two showers and a sauna, a bit spa feeling, and being able to lock the door made it feel private.
If I really have to think of something, I would clean the sink in the toilet and the bathroom a bit better but might be just me since I am a very clean person.

Reviewed Apr 11, 2025I loved the place! The owner was really nice and helpful. The rooms were spacious and beautiful! I felt I have been transfered to somewhere magical! And the bed was comfy! Breakfast was really warm porridge and sandwiches. Coffee or tea you could pick yourself. Ps:I loved the tea selection🥰

It obviously used to be the train station or stationmaster's house (or both), and one of our rooms included the old ticket window and office, which was neat. Also nice to have a hotel room with a cooking area. Not as posh and polished as the name "boutique" might suggest, but a nice place for the area that is well run.
