The property is in a beautiful setting with wonderful views.

Our room on the top floor was so very hot. A fan was provided but it was uncomfortably hot. The steep stairs would be a challenge to any one with mobility issues.

The property was very pretty and the whole town is very cute. Very good food in nearby restaurants. It was as expected for the price. The staff were very nice and helped me get my luggage up the stairs.

Lots of steps - so not great for mobility. The beds were hard and the pillows not fluffy. There was no air conditioning but there was a fan and it was very quiet at night with the window open. The floors were slanted so I found that a little weird. The bathroom was big but the shower stall was small.

The location

A lot of stairs and fire doors to get through with a lot of luggage to a very small back room which was extremely hot, even in cool weather. We used a fan all night, but the room was very hot and the bathroom was like a sauna. Don’t know if we were above something very hot or what. The shower was hot, even when turned to cold. The toilet was hard to flush and the sink wouldn’t drain, so we had to remove the plug. The TV only had movies, no Freeview or any news or short programs. I questioned this with reception & was told to ask her colleague later in the day. Upon our return, there was no staff to ask and I had to ring security with no answer.

Perfect place to stay during the Solent Way long distance walk. The property was perfectly located right next to the harbour and Pink Ferry jetty. Our room had a view of the harbour and was very comfortable. All in all we can recommend.

No one at reception on arrival! various other guests including ourselves were waiting for some time to be checked in.

Friendly knowledgable staff, clean, comfy room, good food and drink, lovely spaces to lounge in.

Our only complaint was the fire doors on the hotel rooms. Other guests were allowing their room doors slam shut which would shake our room and it happened a lot so would wake us up. Either need soft close or put signs on doors to remind guests to not allow them to slam and be respectful of others

Moody staff. Not shown to room, just show to a corridor. No help offered with bags. No complimentary bottled water in room. Accused of travelling as a group of five by email before even arriving and being asked to name the other members of this fictional group. So this could be INVESTIGATED. NOT GOOD.

Stunning location. Very friendly club members, we were made to feel really welcome. Just to be aware parking can be an issue but there is an extra car park next door that you can pay for. That said it was Cowes Week when we went. 20 minutes from Southampton, so would highly recommend as an overnight stop before joining a cruise.

The room we had was rather small and sparse, reminded me more of a lodge type accommodation than a harbour front hotel. Also a shame that catering facilities are limited ( no breakfast available)

We arrived around 9:30pm. The barrier to the car park was down. We rang the tele number given for 10mins, but nobody answered. I went into the hotel to explain, but staff were so busy with a function nobody was on reception to help. After another 10mins, we were finally let into the car park. When we got to the room, there were no towels in the bathroom. Another trip to reception, again nobody there! The room had no air con only a fan. It was however very old & noisy so couldn’t be used! Would never go back.

It was handy, lovely location next to the river, good pubs with very good food within a couple minutes walk.

Lots of narrow stairs, no air con, attic room windows don’t open very far, extremely hot & difficult to sleep. Staff were friendly, however the yacht club members that I encountered were positively unpleasant. I’m sure they are not all like that, but I won’t be rushing back & I wouldn’t recommend.

the location was excellent and the outside bar had a really good view.

when we arrived the reception wasn't manned and no-one was answering the intercom to open the barrier. we had to go upstairs to find someone to assist. there was no breakfast available and the showers in 2 of the rooms weren't working.

Parking - there was a regatta on that weekend, I booked months beforehand so they should have told me that I may struggle to park. I had to park in a different area and walk to the yacht club. Not acceptable. I only booked here as there was parking.

We arrived super early we managed to get checked in early the lady on the desk booked a taxi for us and was super helpful with everything we needed.

Location amazing overlooking all.the boats. Lovely little room, with ensuite shower. There was a fan which was very much appreciated. The staff were so friendly- we went to see Take That at St Mary's stadium and the following morning the staff wanted to hear all about it. Coffee and bacon butties on the verandah in the sunshine was the icing on the cake!

Old poor quality mattresses made sleep difficult & caused back pain.

The Property is right on the shoreline of the Hamble and as you would expect, the vibe is all about the water and boating. All the good local amenities are close by and only a short walk away. The restaurant and bar and large patio look over the river offering a really realxing vibe.

The location of this hotel is great and we used to stay a lot. We haven’t stayed as much since they stopped the breakfast.

They really need to reconsider serving breakfasts. There is a great cafe 50yds away but it would better onsite with its tremendous views over the river.

The Royal Southern is a beautiful sailing club - great bar, great location, great views.

We had a problem with the sink blocking which they were unable to fix. It made it very difficult to use the sink as it was always full of dirty water.

Location is great and very kind to let us leave the car in the car park for the day. Room spotless.

Shower pressure was very poor.

Good LOCATION

I stayed in the suite at £152 for the night room only. The bedroom ceiling is around 5 feet 11 inches headroom. I am 6 feet four stood up from the bed. I’m nearly put my head through the ceiling light there is an RSJ across this low ceiling reducing the height to about 5 foot 5 inches. There is no two-way switching on the ceiling lights and able to switch them off from the bed . There are not enough sockets to be able to charge iPad iPhone phone . You have to climb up a step to access anywhere else and then down a step into a bathroom. The basin tap delivers water to pressure shoots into the bowl and then all over you. There’s no hair shampoo for the shower Overall, very disappointing

No one on reception manning the phones when we arrived, waisted 20 mins trying to raise someone to let us through the barrier. Had to leave the car at the barrier and try to find someone. Eventually found a member who went to find a member of staff, overall we waisted half an hour trying to check in .Not good enough Also why do they not offer breakfast as they obviously have catering kitchens?

It is part of the Yacht Club, the atmosphere is lovely and buzzing. Very attentive and friendly personnel. The location of the Club is very central to Hamble with quick access to waterfront, shops, transport. I greatly enjoy my stay there.

A lovely warm welcome from Sarah on reception. Very friendly, informative and helpful.

Not a complaint but just a suggestion that a bar of soap or some shower gel would be nice. I don’t carry any in my wash bag as hotels normally provide it.

The room was visually pleasant with light brightness which made it fell less constricted, the bed was comfortable and I slept quite well.

The room was tiny and very constricted. It was in the roof space with the walls/ceiling sloping inwards from about 1m up from the floor and small dormer windows. The bed and furniture were in the only spaces where there was headroom. I was always worried about banging my head, and I'm only 5'2". It would have been really dreadful if my husband had been there too. The shower enclosure was also too small, and had no where to put toiletries. There was a small corner shelf but it sloped forwards so that bottles fell out. There was a halyard banging on the flagpole outside. I was too tired to ask for it to be frapped, so I slept with the windows closed. This was rather poor form for a yacht club. It was a windy night but none of the yachts were noisy. I think the room was very overpriced. I understand that it's a desirable location, and the rooms are almost always booked out, but I felt it was wrong to rent such a room to non club members who would expect something more comfortable at that price.

Licht im Bad war defekt und ich habe es gemeldet aber es würde nicht repariert! Bad war ohne Tageslicht/kein Fenster & ohne Licht war es stock dunkel! War nicht begeistert! Hotel hat sich inzwischen bei mir gemeldet und sich dafür entschuldigt! Dusch Wasser war auch nicht besonders heiß nur lau warm!
