Mystras Grand Palace Resort & Spa

A beautiful hotel with impressive architecture and a very high standard of finish. The Byzantine style and atmosphere are reflected in every detail. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with every comfort. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is extensive and well presented, and the coffee and the bread are excellent. We had unfortunately made a mistake with our booking dates and arrived one day late. However, the staff handled the situation in a very professional and customer-oriented way by moving our reservation by one day at no extra cost. We truly appreciate this gesture. The location is also ideal for visiting Mystras.

Unfortunately, we were not very lucky during our stay, as there was a large group of American guests attending a wedding. They created a considerable amount of noise around the bungalows, the swimming pool and in the restaurant. There is constant too loud music around the pool. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay, this may not be the ideal hotel, as it seemed to be more focused on accommodating larger groups. The lifeguard did not fulfil his role as expected, as he spent a considerable amount of time in the bar with someone rather than supervising and carrying out his responsibilities. One point that made us uncomfortable was the large number of cameras in and around the hotel, including cameras apparently directed towards guests at the swimming pool. We did not see any clear information about the CCTV surveillance or how the recorded images are used, which made us wonder whether this is fully in line with the applicable privacy regulations. The entire hotel should consider becoming smoke-free. Smoking around the swimming pool and on the terraces of the rooms can be disturbing for other guests. Given the increasing risk of wildfires in Greece, it would also seem sensible to reconsider the current smoking policy. A large, internationally oriented hotel should make a much greater effort to reduce single-use plastics. This includes plastic water bottles, plastic straws, disposable drinking cups, and small single-use toiletry containers in the bathroom …. . These practices are simply no longer in keeping with modern standards. A sustainable and forward-thinking hotel should lead by example and choose more environmentally friendly alternatives. We also wondered whether it was really necessary to display instructions in Russian, for example at the breakfast area. Given the current situation in Europe, this felt somewhat surprising to us.

La propriété est magnifique. N’étant restés qu’une nuit nous n’avons pas pu profiter de toute l infrastructure. Les piscines et espaces piscines sont très agréables. Grand parking Chambre spacieuse et bien équipée. Belle salle de bain. Le buffet petit déjeuner est incroyable. Le personnel est très agréable et professionnel. Très bien situé pour la visite de la cité de Mystras

Άκρως περιποιημένο και καθαρό ξενοδοχείο με άνετους χώρους και άψογη εξυπηρέτηση. Το πρωινό πλούσιο και γευστικό. Η εμπειρία του σπα, εκπληκτική σε όλες τις υπηρεσίες που δοκιμάσαμε. Θα το επισκεφτούμε ξανά σίγουρα.

Πιστεύω θα ήταν μεγάλη ευκολία εάν προσθέσετε έναν σταθμό φόρτισης ηλεκτρικών αυτοκινήτων στο άνετο parking σας.

Υπέροχη τοποθεσία, καταπληκτικά κατασκευασμενο και συντηρημένο ξενοδοχείο, ευγενικό προσωπικό. Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα .

Magnifiques édifices typiques en pierres sèches, chambres spacieuses à la déco un peu démodée, jolies et spacieuses SdB, superbe jardin très bien entreténu. Belles piscines trop souvént en maîntenance au moment de l ouverture de l une d éntre elles (piscine adultes). Pourquoi ne pas prévoir cette maintenance avant les ouvertures tardives de 10:00 du matin au plus tôt ? Bon petit-déjeuner bien que beaucoup de biscuits, gâteaux et autres sucreries. Hotel proche du site extraordinaire de Mystas.

La restauration et les lieux de restauration ne sont vraiment pas à la hauteur des étoiles et du standing de cet hôtel. Le bar côté piscine est plus une sorte d' aire de restauration rapide pas tres joli bien que proche de la 1er piscine. Le restaurant a la carte qui jouxte. quasiment le bar donne sur les 5 cours de ténnis pour moitié et heureusement sur la chaine de montagne pour l autre. Surtout, il offre extrêmement peu de variétés et d'ailleurs il n'y a pas grand monde. Prix beaucoup trop élevés pour la qualité.. Le personnel de tout l'hôtel est absolument charmant mais il y en a peu et véritablement un hôtel de ce style devrait avoir plus de service proche de sa clientèle. Pour certains, leur anglais est approximatif.

The service was very good. Lovely people at the restaurant, pool and reception. We actually forgotten something and they went to the trouble to send it after us to our next location! Very helpful. The location near mystras was nice.

Nothing. I always like it when the pool in a hotel can stay open late since it’s still such nice weather, but you only rarely find that anywhere. Also here the pool closes quite early, probably because they have a lifeguard.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming! The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is incredible, the best we’ve ever had at a hotel. It’s our second time staying at this hotel and we will be back :)

A few minor areas of improvement to make our stay even more comfortable: - More hooks for towels in the bathrooms - Mosquito nets on the windows so that they can be left open for air - Space to hang towels and swimming costumes to dry

Lässt keine Wünsche offen und kann so nur weitere empfohlen werden. Wir sin schon 4 mal hier. Die Gesamtüberbauung ist derart speziell, sodass es für alle Gäste einen spezifischen positiven Eindruck wirkt.

Es gibt so nichts zu bemängeln, was auf einem negativ wirkt.

De locatie.

De accommodatie heeft geen eigen terras. Tegenover de voordeur stond een tafeltje met 2 stoelen maar dat was tevens een looppad voor andere gasten. Voor zo'n dure accommodatie verwacht ik wel een eigen privé terras

The facilities and location.

Nothing . All as you would expect in a 5 star hotel.

The rooms and the amenities are outstanding. The resort is near Sparta and the Castle ruins offered plenty of shopping, leisure and sightseeing. Excellent breakfasts and gourmet dinners. The best in Greek food offerings.

The swallows! There were too many and our room had a covered porch where they had nests. One bird pooped on my husband's face. There were alot of ants and bugs as well. The bug situation may be the time of year. Again, a beautiful facility filled with nature's flowers and creatures.

Οι ομορφοι εξωτερικοί χωροι , ευρυχωρα δωματια, εξαιρετικό service ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό.

Το προσωπικο καθαριοτητας συχνά μιλούσε και φώναζε δυνατά μεταξύ του στους κοινόχρηστους χωρους και εξω απο τα δωμάτια. Θεωρώ οτι λίγη περισσότερη προσοχή στο επίπεδο θορύβου θα βελτίωνε σημαντικά την εμπειρία των επισκεπτών.

Fantastic location for a visit to Mystras. It was good to be there early before it was too hot and busy. Amazing breakfast selection, served in a lovely room. Outside areas beautifully maintained and with lots of space by the pools. Quiet room.

The bedroom was a bit dated. No bottled water for the room although provided when we asked. No hooks in smallish bathroom for towels, etc. No porter on duty until late morning and not able to use the trolley which meant we had to carry all our luggage some way. Despite being told we needed to book a table, we were the only people in the restaurant - great food but no ambiance.

Un véritable havre de paix. Dès notre arrivée, l’accueil est à la hauteur d’un établissement 5 étoiles : prise en charge au parking en voiturette jusqu’à la réception, tandis que l’employé nous transmet avec professionnalisme toutes les informations utiles pour le séjour. Nous sommes ensuite conduits jusqu’à notre chambre en traversant un domaine verdoyant, vaste et parfaitement entretenu, ce qui plonge immédiatement dans une atmosphère de détente. La chambre, à la décoration sobre et élégante, offre un confort appréciable avec une belle salle de bain fonctionnelle et agréable. Nous avons également dîné au restaurant de l’hôtel : une très belle surprise avec un excellent rapport qualité-prix, permettant de profiter d’une bonne table sans excès. Le domaine, à la fois spacieux et intimiste, invite réellement à la déconnexion. La séance de jacuzzi a parfaitement complété cette parenthèse relaxante. Un hôtel où l’on vient pour profiter pleinement du cadre, du calme et du service. Une adresse que nous retiendrons avec plaisir.

Quelques points pourraient néanmoins être améliorés pour atteindre l’excellence attendue d’un établissement haut de gamme. Malgré un petit déjeuner très varié et globalement de qualité, l’offre de thés reste assez limitée. Nous avons également regretté l’absence de petits pots à lait à disposition, un détail certes, mais qui participe au standing recherché. Enfin, des serviettes de table de meilleure qualité apporteraient une touche plus raffinée à l’expérience du petit déjeuner.

Lovely situation. Excellent breakfast. Great products in the bathroom. Most of the staff were excellent and helpful.

We had a very unhelpful man on the front desk who was impolite and defensive when we raised a query about our room. And he did not do what he had agreed to do. This is unacceptable at a place like this and stands out particularly when everyone else was gracious and helpful.

...dass zusätzlich für den Indoor Pool hätte bezahlt werden müssen. Sollte in dieser Preisklasse nicht sein und Aussenpool war auch nicht verfügbar.

Die Zimmer waren super, das Personal war sehr nett die Lage war zur Besichtigung ideal, ein späteres auschecken aus dem Hotel war überhaupt kein Problem.

Alle Außenanlagen waren geschlossen der Pool, die liegen, Außen Sitzplätze , trotz Superwetter 25° und Sonne. Mit dem Hinweis darauf, dass zu viele Gäste da sind, wurde uns das Baden in der Badewanne verboten. Das geht nicht, wenn so viele Gäste da sind. Deshalb konnte man den Abfluss nicht schließen und damit nicht baden. Der super kleine Innen Pool musste selbst bezahlt werden. 1 Stunde 15 €. Sauna 20 Minuten frei, dann Gebühren. Für mich sehr unüblich in einem Fünfsternehotel

Well maintained and great tennis court.

Pool is closed until the first week of may. This was never clearly mentioned on the booking website while booking the accommodation. Only just now they updated the page.

Ήταν όλα υπέροχα, πολύ ευγενικό προσωπικό παντού, υπέροχο δωμάτιο, πολύ καθαροί χώροι, εξαιρετικό πρωινό με πραγματικά πάρα πολλές επιλογές (ένας χώρος μόνο με αλμυρά και ένας με γλυκά) και γενικά μια αίσθηση ηρεμίας παντού. Οι θεραπείες στο σπα και το προσωπικό του επίσης εξαιρετικά. Αξίζει πραγματικά σαν επιλογή για διαμονή στο Μυστρά!

Στο δικό μας τουλάχιστον δωμάτιο δεν είχε στο μπάνιο πουθενά να κρεμάσεις τις πετσέτες και τα μαγιω ενώ επίσης θα θέλαμε να υπήρχε και σίτα στο παράθυρο. Ο χώρος του σπα (η διαρύθμισή του) δεν διασφαλίζει την απόλυτη ηρεμία καθώς οι χώροι του μασάζ έχουν άνοιγμα επάνω, γεγονός που έχει ως αποτέλεσμα να ακούγονται τα πάντα, όσο κ να φροντίζει το προσωπικό να υπάρχει ησυχία.

Muy buen hotel, sólo estuvimos una noche de paso, pero lo disfrutamos. Las habitaciones están descentralizadas en una especie de parque muy agradable. Son muy cómodas y espaciosas con buenas instalaciones. El cuerpo central del hotel muy bueno, desayuno variado y abundante, también cenamos muy rico.

La cama tiene unas extensiones de madera que sobresalen del colchón a la altura de las canillas, es muy fácil golpearse. Por el techo a dos aguas de las habitaciones, se genera un hueco sobre la zona del baño que no es agradable, un volumen muerto que considero una falla de diseño por estética y porque hay que calefaccionar/enfriar un volumen innecesario.

Wir waren unterwegs mit dem Fahrrad zu sechst und konnten uns nach einer schönen Tour von Monemvasia super erholen. Leichte Minuspunkte, dann für die Sauna. Die war nicht ausreichend warm, das Problem wurde dann aber auf Hinweis sofort angepackt. Abendessen und Frühstück ebenfalls toll! Alle aus der Gruppe würden das wieder bei entsprechender Gelegenheit anpeilen.

Spectacular hotel. I wish I could give them 10 stars. Gorgeous build out and gardens, beautiful rooms, every detail was carefully designed, 2 swimming pools, gym, spa, fantastic breakfast, impeccable service. Superb!

Can't think of anything. Simply amazing.

The room was great for my family of four. We had two little boys, and everyone had tons of space. The room was easy to get to, and everything was clean and ready. We used the pool almost every day and had our local family over for a reasonable price. The staff were the nicest people I've met. They always smiled and were super helpful, even though I don't speak Greek. The breakfast was awesome. So many choices, and everything was fresh. We'll definitely stay there whenever we're in town.

That dusty parking lot made a mess of my car, inside and out. I didn't care since it was a rental, but it was the only thing I didn't like.

Ηταν ένας απίστευτα όμορφος και λειτουργικός χώρος, ο οποίος μαγεύει τον κάθε επισκέπτη. Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι τα σπίτια είναι πετρόχτιστα και ευρύχωρα. Το πιο σημαντικό είναι ότι το προσωπικό είναι ευγενέστατο και πραγματικά έχει τη νοοτροπία της ομάδας που αγαπάει το ξενοδοχείο (ίσως επειδή οι περισσότεροι είναι ντόπιοι)!

Sofa bed offered ( for a third person ) does not compare at all with the actual beds. For the price paid I would expect something better.

Εντυπωσιαστήκαμε από τις εγκαταστάσεις, τον περιβάλλοντα χώρο και τη φροντίδα που είναι εμφανής σε κάθε γωνιά του χώρου. Εξαιρετική επίσης η στελέχωση του resort καταπληκτική όλη η ομάδα ! Ο πρωινός μπουφές ήταν οριακά εξωγήινος αλλά και το βράδυ το εστιατόριο Georgia απλά απίστευτο ❤️

Ολα ηταν εξαιρετικά. Πολυ καθαρο δωματιο, σε βολικη τοποθεσία και με πλούσιο πρωινό. Επισης το προσωπικό πάντα χαμογελαστό και εξυπηρετικό. Θα επιστρεψουμε σιγουρα.

Nice helpful staff. Cosy spacious rooms (but a little dark). We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice, and many children were playing around on the paths.

The suite's terrace was facing north and had a roof, supposedly good in a heat wave, but cold and with no sun in October. It was close to a road with some traffic noise, not to be expected for an expensive suite. Bed quite hard. Large breakfast with much choice, but nothing of real good quality. Not possible to take it on the terrace outside in the pleasant autumn sun. Chairs outside had their seats removed..

ריזורט מצוין, הגענו בהתחלה רק ללילה אחד כי לא היתה זמינות לשני לילות, והם ממש השתדלו למצוא לנו חדר שבכל זאת יהיה פנוי לשני לילות. המקום עצמו מאוד יפה ומרשים, עשרות עובדים מסתובבים במתחם מנקים, מטפחים. היחידות מקסימות, הבריכה נהדרת, מגרשי הטניס היו הסיבה לבחירה דווקא בריזורט זה, ומאוד נהננו מהם. ארוחת בוקר מצויינת. שהות מוצלחת, ובטח נשוב כשנגיע לאזור בפעם הבאה.

הדבר היחיד שקצת ביאס שלא היתה מכונת קפה בחדר האוכל, אז צריך לבקש מהצוות. הם מאוד נחמדים והביאו קפה טעים ממכונת אספרסו לבקשתנו, אבל זה לקח יותר זמן, ובסופו של דבר הייתי מסתפקת בקפה ממכונה.

Beautiful hotel / grounds. Friendly & helpful staff. Rooms are spacious & beautiful. Buffet breakfast is amazing. The restaurant food is lovely, but again very limited if you don’t eat meat.

Room service menu was very limited & even more so for a vegetarian. No option to have something made up, when we rang reception. What did arrive was quite bland on this occasion. Having said that, we stayed last year & the good from the pool bar at lunch was lovely. I believe the pool bar was closed this year due to the weather on the day of our stay. I do think a hotel of this standard, could have arranged for something to be made for us when we told them we were vegetation, rather than just saying our only option was the small menu.
