Tropical Villa - Weligama

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are really spatious and offer a nice place to sit outside during the hot evenings. There is a lot of places to eat in the neighborhood. Although the Weligama beach may not be the nicest and cleanest beach we have seen in the area. Fortunately, there is a nice pool that we used a lot. The personnel was very kind to us, plus there is a cute cat who likes people!

Die Lage ist top, wenn man entspannt ein paar Tage surfen will wirklich toll & in der Nähe viele Cafés. Wir haben ohne Frühstück gebucht, was für uns perfekt war. So konnten wir nach dem Surfen die Cafés in der Umgebung ausprobieren. Hatten eine tolle Zeit.

Das Badfenster konnte man nicht schließen und es gab kein Mückennetz.

In der Nähe des Meeres und auch zu Fuß kann man zu Restaurants und Geschäften laufen. Frühstück war prima und wir haben auch jede Menge Affen in den Bäumen in der Nähe gesehen. Zimmer sind groß, mit Kühlschrank und Personal war super freundlich

Ça manquait un peu de ménage à notre arrivée : tapis de sol sale, chouchou dans la salle de bain au sol

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der Tropical Villa sehr genossen. Die Lage ist zentral aber dennoch abseits der lauten Hauptstraße am Meer. In wenigen Minuten ist man zu Fuß am Strand. Dort können Surfboards ausgeborgt oder entspannt auf den Liegen gelesen werden. Nicht unweit der Unterkunft gibt es Supermärkte, viele Bars und Restaurants. Wir haben das Frühstück sehr lecker gefunden. Lecker Obst, Toast, etc. Da wir sehr proteinreich essen waren wir von den täglich angebotenen Eiern in verschiedenen Varianten begeistert. Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels waren stets zuvorkommend und sind uns immer mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht begegnet. Als die Klimaanlage in einem Zimmer nicht richtig funktioniert hatte wurde am selben Tag ein Techniker gerufen. Da dieser das Problem nicht lösen konnte wurden wir in ein anderes Zimmer mit funktionierender Klimaanlage verlegt - top! Der Pool ist schön uns sauber. Abends haben wir es uns im Garten zwischen den Bäumen gemütlich gemacht. Ein Flughafenshuttle wurde ebenfalls für uns organisiert! Einziges Manko - es gibt keine Moskitonetze. Wir hatten aber unsere eigenen dabei und die Mitarbeiter haben uns sogar dabei geholfen die Netze aufzuhängen. Fazit: wir würden wieder kommen.

Mooie, grote kamers, goede douche. De hele 1e verdieping voor onze 2 kamers met heerlijke galerij om rustig te zitten. Lekker zwembadje. Aardig personeel. Lekker ontbijt. Locatie zeer dichtbij het strand waar je meteen tegen een plek aanloopt waar je surfplank kan huren en op strandbedje kan liggen.

Our room had a series of vents above the bathroom window. No fly wire. Meaning that the room was plagued by mozzies. The local hardwares sell Fix this and u score an excellent.

Friendly staff, location is near the beach. Nice pool, room size is big. Breakfast is basic and no choices but 3 types of eggs along with bread. Those staying for more than 2 days might get fedup with the same BF.

The property is on a tight street which leads to the main road which has all the yummy seafood stalls and restaurants. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool. The staff was very helpful though.

There is no lift and there were stairs all the way to the 2nd floor where we were staying. Also a LOT of lizards in our room which made sleeping difficult for us.

Breakfast was lovely. We had Sri Lankan traditional breakfast and also the English breakfast and both were cooked well. Service was also great and they were served right on time!

Owner is very money minded and takes money for small small things. Also our room ac stopped for two consecutive nights.. breakfast is bad and not worth at all. They didn't accomodate even late check-out option.

The property is so tranquil and the staff are so nice. Definitely a hidden gem in Weligama. Perfect location as 10 minute walk to main area and a few minutes walk to beach. Loved our room so clean and big. Breakfast was such a nice bonus and so yummy. The pool is perfect size to cool off. Loved our stay

We had mosquitos often in the bedroom, It would be great setup a mosquito net in the bathroom, I suspect they came from the openings there.

Der Pool und Garten ist super schön und gemütlich. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer und Badezimmer sehr groß. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert super

Es war alles großartig bis auf die Kakerlaken im Badezimmer... Und die Badezimmertür lässt sich von außen nicht schließen also können sie auch ins Zimmer kommen 🙈 Das Internet war auch nicht so besonders gut... Aber mit unserer SIM mit genügend GB ist das für den Privatgebrauch kein Problem.

Very nice , spacious room . Beautiful garden with the pool , location is really good - very close to the surfing spots but a bit further from the noisy main street . I was alone there ( female ) but I was not afraid to walk back in the evening .

A/C very loud and it was impossible to set up night mode . A lot of spider nets above the shower - but the ceiling was super high so it’s kind of fine …

We stayed there several nights. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. We would stay here again. Super clean and very close to the beach.

Localisation parfaite : au calme et en même temps au centre de la ville. La chambre était très spacieuse et confortable. Jardin agréable et la piscine est un vrai plus ! Nous n’avons pas pris de petit déjeuner sur place mais en face et à 2 min à pieds il y a deux des tres bons cafés/brunch de la ville. Le personnel était très gentil.

Perfect location, great value for money! The kids loved the pool! Our room was very big, two double beds. They helped us with laundry too!

Special shoutout to the new junior member of staff who was very friendly, helpful and checked us in. Thank you! Fantastic facilities - huge room, AC, shower and toilet, pool was also available. Close to Weligama beach and easy to get to Mirissa and Matara from there. Mirissa Beach is fantastic!

Not a negative but it’s down a small side street which isn’t very well lit at night. But no issues!

Hele aardige mensen, het was lekker rustig en alles was schoon en netjes.

Hotel met prachtig zwembad op loop afstand van het strand. Je hebt nauwelijks last van het drukke Weligama of de grote hoofdweg. De kamer was ruim, schoon met een mooie badkamer en een hele goed douche.

Het was fijn en ik heb absoluut geen klachten maar we hebben heel veel moois gezien dat een stuk goedkoper was. Je betaalt wellicht voor het prachtige zwembad en het vriendelijke personeel, die (bijna) 24/7 voor je klaar staat.

The room was spacious with a large shared balcony. Excellent facilities such as a large fridge-freezer, separate sink for washing/food preparation and comfy bed. The pool and garden were lovely. The hotel is quiet and full of wildlife but very close to shops restaurants and cafes. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. The staff Kumara, Teran and Ruckshan were kind and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be.

The room was very big, it had a mini kitchen and the location is very good. Also, the owner and staff is very nice and helpful

The cleanliness for us was a disaster, we had spiders under our bed, the toilet was not very clean as well. Additionally, we had a family of Leprosy stay with us in the room there was a hole in the sealing that had Leprosys living in it. There are soooo many ants in the room and bathroom as well. I understand that Sri lanka has so many creatures and insects but at least spray the room with a good insect repellent and clean under the bed we literally were living in a nightmare in this room everyday we find something we stayed in Sri lanka for 10 days and we never had this issue inside a room before so if you’re okai with insects in the room the go for this hotel it would be a good option but if you’re like us and cannot handle insects and Leprosy then definitely find another hotel! Lastly, I have to mention that when we told the owner about the cleanliness and the insects he reacted right away and cleaned the room but I expect it already clean and I highly advise him to make sure it doesn’t have anymore Leprosies

Good location, very helpful staff and clean facilities. Nice pool to relax in and you can enjoy the weather on the lounge chairs outside. It's relatively private and good value for money. Close to best restaurants in Weligama. Room was clean and had a large fridge for keeping drinks and fruits cold. Even had mugs for beer.

Breakfast was a bit plain. First floor room could hear all the footsteps from above.

It was a wonderful oasis hidden away in welligama. The garden, grassed lawn and pool were a delight. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Beds were so comfy, the place was so clean and the shower was amazing.

- die Raumaufteilung beim Zimmer im Erdgeschoss hat mir nicht so zugesagt: es gibt auf beiden Seiten des Zimmers Glastüren die nicht sonderlich stabil wirken + 1 Eingangstür + gegenüberliegendes Fenster, was mich persönlich nicht so hat wohlfühlen lassen als alleinreisende Frau (es gibt aber einen Security guard nachts) - nächtliche Geräusche im Zimmer von Kühlschrank/Haus? - Bett nicht soo bequem

Tolle kleine Unterkunft in ruhiger aber zentraler Lage, mit geräumigen Zimmern, schöner Dusche, bequemen Betten, sehr schön gepflegter Pool, super Frühstück und freundlichem Personal. Alles Bestens :-)

The location was perfect for us. Close to the beach and some surf schools and close to some nice restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff was the best. They really made everything possible. The pool is great, too.

Der Manager war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wäscheservice und Roller ausleihen war kein Problem. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und schön eingerichtet. Auch die Außenanlage war sehr gepflegt und kann super genutzt werden.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tropical Villa Weligama. The room was clean and spacious and the location was superb. Kumara, Rukshaan and Teran were amazing and took good care of us during our stay. Really recommend this place!

Pokoje duże, przestronne i dobrze wyposażone (poza czajnikiem, lodówką i suszarką znajdowała się w nich także przejściówka do kontaktu). Regularnie w czasie naszej nieobecności odbywało się bardzo dokładne sprzątanie pokoi. Śniadania dobre. Dostęp do czystego i regularnie sprzątanego basenu. Obsługa hotelu bardzo uczynna i pomocna. Plaża jedyne 100 m od obiektu.

Wszystko było ok. Jedyna przestroga to taka, żeby raczej nie korzystać z oferty dodatkowo płatnej kolacji z grillowanymi mięsami i owocami morza. W trakcie naszego pobytu taka kolacja była organizowana. Daliśmy się skusić. Cena to 2900 LKR za osobę. Niestety rzeczywistość trochę rozminęła się z oczekiwaniami. Dostępne na kolacji owoce morza to nawet smaczne ryby oraz niejadalne kalmary, których nie dało się pogryźć. Z mięs dostępna była wołowina cechująca się podobnymi problemami co kalmary oraz kawałki kurczaka, które co prawda były dobrze doprawione, ale składały się w większości bardziej z kości niż z mięsa.

Год назад останавливались на этой вилле,т в этом году решили вернуться сюда снова. Отличный бассейн, комфортный и большой номер, хорошие завтрака и удачное расположение. Но самое главное, это конечно гостеприимный хозяин и сервис. Очень приятные люди, желаю им процветания.

The room was fantastic and spacious. Bonus points for the bathroom. If you're fond of good clean bathrooms, you should consider staying here. The security guard was very cooperative. These guys arrange bikes on rent at the hotel so that was a big relief. A very nice pool on site completes the package.

Felt that the staff was a bit rude in the starting days but got friendly later.

Fijne kamer met een goed bed en prima badkamer. Het zwembad was heerlijk en heel schoon. Lekker zitjes en een fijn veldje bij het huis waar onze dochter lekker rond kon rennen. Op twee minuten lopen van het strand met een surfschool voor de deur. Beste koffie en pannenkoeken! Het hotel ligt aan een smal steegje dus bij aankomst is het even zoeken :)

Beautiful room and very spacious. The pool was also lovely and the attention from staff was very good. Choice of Sri Lankan or western breakfasts and both were delicious. Close to the beach and quiet. Great daybed outside our room.

Hotel muy cómodo, camas inmejorables, ducha muy buena y todo muy limpio.

La habitación y el baño eran amplios y muy limpios. La atención fue excelente por parte de los empleados, especialmente Kumara. Contaba con aire acondicionado y ventiladores. La piscina estaba limpia y en perfectas condiciones. Además, gestionar un driver u otras necesidades con Kumara fue mucho más fácil que hacerlo a través de otras empresas o aplicaciones

Lovely big room and nice bathroom. Pool area and backyard was beautiful. The hosts were very polite. There’s a family of monkeys that live in the tree! Within walking distance - 10-15 minutes of plenty of good cafes and restaurants, and it’s close to the beach/surf schools.
