Reviewed Sep 10, 2026It’s located in a very scenic, quiet location. It’s very close to our Nigardsbreen glacier hike.
Room is a tad small. It would have been nice to have an out door private patio in each room to look out to as the surrounding area is very scenic. They have a big patio sitting area right outside the restaurant/hotel on the main floor of the building.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Kleinschalig familiehotel, gerund door vriendelijke mensen. Gelegen in een mooi dal met dichtbij enkele wandeltochten naar gletsjers en uitzichtpunten. Eenvoudige, maar schone en fijne kamer. Geen last gehad van omgevingsgeluiden in de nacht (ligt natuurlijk ook aan mede hotelgasten). Goed ontbijt dat met zorg wordt aangeboden. Restaurant met beperkte maar goede kaart. Het eten was uitstekend snel op tafel. Ook een bar aanwezig om in de avond nog iets te kunnen drinken. Bij mooi weer fijn terras met uitzicht op het omliggende dal. De mensen van Jostedal hotel zorgen ervoor dat je een fijn verblijf hebt!
Erg warme dekbedden. Waarschijnlijk iets Noors want we hebben op alle adressen tijdens onze vakantie te warme dekbedden gehad.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026酒店距nigardsbreen冰川徒步集合处开车10分钟约6km，非常适合早晨去冰川徒步的人。房间很紧凑，大堂服务很热情。早餐种类虽然不多，但味道还挺好。烟熏三文鱼非常好吃。屋里床的也比较舒服， 屋子里的东西和家俱都是实木做的
房间小了一些，两个对开的24寸箱子不能打开（幸好我们都是单面打开的24寸箱子）

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Sehr freundliches Personal. Gute Lage um die Gegend um die Gletscher zu erkunden. Einfaches aber gutes Restaurant. Wir hatten das Appartement, welches sich in einem separaten Gebäude beim Hotel befand. Guter und neuer Zustand der Bäder. Gute Austattung. Sehr leckeres Kuchenbuffet.
Für unsere Wünsche sehr weiche Betten und zu weiche Sofa und Sessel im Wohnzimmer des Appartements.

El apartamento está muy bien y es muy espacioso y con equipamiento completo. Las habitaciones, correctas. Ubicación excelente para visitar glaciar Nigardsbreen.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Skvělý pobyt na kouzelném místě, k ledovcovým splazům ve dvou sousedních údolích je to opravdu kousek, ideální jako základna pro výlety a túry. Moc milé dívky na recepci nám předali základní informace. Check-in byl velice rychlý, žádné zbytečné papírování. Ubytovali jsme se v apartmánu s kuchyňkou, hotelovou restauraci jsme nevyužili. Je to vlastně prostorný byt ve vedlejší budově, kuchyně dostatečně vybavená. Manželské postele byly krásně široké, což nebylo během naší cesty po Norsku vždy a všude pravidlem. Parkoviště v pohodě, dostatek volných míst. Cítili jsme se zde velice hezky.

The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of fresh and homemade food. It's the perfect place to stay when visiting the Jostedalsbreen Glacier, and we would happily stay here again.

Lo staff è stato gentilissimo, l'ultima notte avevamo in programma di partire molto presto e ci hanno fatto la sera prima dei panini per la colazione.

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026The location is near Breheimsenteret so this was a good choice after our Nigardsbreen Glacier hike. The hotel has restaurant on the 1st floor. You go inside the restaurant to go up to your room. There is no elevator, just stairs. Included Breakfast was great with lots of choices, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, veggies, bacon, yogurt, fruits, etc - try their home baked bread - the one with carrots, grains, etc. It was yummy! Too bad we didnt try the brown cheese coz we did not know what it was - its actually a sweet cheese (when we tried it somewhere else). You can purchase and make your own sandwich for take out lunch for Kr9.95 (2026 rate) - this was a great deal! Location was quite, safe, near a river, parking nearby. The lady who was manning the front desk and all the refills for breakfast was super! Highly recommend!
At first, we got confused where to go for our rooms since there was no clear instruction from the young staff when we were given our keys. We thought the rooms were in the building in front of the restaurant building. I had to go back to the front desk to ask where the room was. Thankfully, the older lady was manning the front desk this time and directed us that the room entrance is inside the restaurant.

Wir waren eine Nacht im Anschluss an unsere geführte Gletscherwanderung dort und sehr froh, dass es nur wenige Minuten davon entfernt war. Wir wurden äußerst freundlich empfangen. Abendessen und Frühstück absolut empfehlenswert. Auch so gab es eine Vitrine mit selbstgebackenen Kuchen. Gemütliche Zimmer. Schade, dass wir nicht mehr Zeit im Jostedal hatten.

Reviewed Jul 6, 2026Uitstekend onthaal. Uitleg gekregen over het hotel, het restaurant en de vele wandelmogelijkheden. Mooi uitzicht vanuit de kamer. Kamer met beperkt comfort maar wel netjes. Het restaurant heeft een beperkte kaart maar het eten is wel lekker. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en heeft voor elk wat wils. Het hotel ligt in een enig mooie streek.
Op de badkamer misten we een haardroger.
