Personale molto accogliente

Nous étions 4 jeunes amis donc la chambre n'était pas trop chère, superbe piscine, très bon emplacement à côté du centre. Le propriétaire de l'hôtel vient nous chercher et nous ramène au port à l'arrivée et au départ.

Everything about our stay was amazing. George is super helpful and lovely. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with great aircon. The pool area is fabulous, as well as the food and drink available for purchase on site. We absolutely loved our stay here, the perfect location to base yourself in Ios, we highly recommend.

Emplacement idéal dans Chora à l’écart des ruelles très fréquentées. Le propriétaire vient vous chercher au port et vous dépose le jour de votre départ ce qui est génial. Les chambres sont rudimentaires mais suffisantes pour un court séjour 😊

George and his family were just incredible hosts. George picked myself and partner from the ferry terminal, gave us a little tour of where everything was around the property as well as even take us back for our ferry free of charge! Super convenient location, his family were so lovely and accomodating. Very close to the main town so you are able to walk everywhere easily. Yes the rooms are a little older but super clean. 10000% would stay here again.

Es muy cómodo, la piscina es un lujo, está súper céntrico, los dueños son lo mejor y te hacen sentir como en casa. Sin duda un sitio muy recomendable sobre todo por la amabilidad y disponibilidad de sus dueños que son lo mejor.

George and the staff were amazing. Picked us up from and dropped us off at the port at very early hours. The staff was really friendly and willing to help with whatever we needed. The room was great, the pool area was super nice, and the restaurant was delicious (we ate there twice). We also tried the bar downstairs at nighttime; again, great service. Our bartender, Nick, made great drinks and gave us good recommendations for local places. I would stay here a million times over again!!! 10/10!!!

Hospitality, location, clean

Πολύ καλή η τοποθεσία, στην καρδιά της χώρας, δίπλα στα ΚΤΕΛ , σε σούπερ μάρκετ, μαγαζιά, αλλά και με την ησυχία από τη βουή του πλήθους. Στα μεγάλα συν η ευγένεια του προσωπικού και η φιλόξενη διάθεση: με πρωτοβουλία του ο ιδιοκτήτης ήρθε και μας παρέλαβε από το λιμάνι, επίσης μας μετέφερε εκεί την ημέρα της επιστροφής. Μια ωραία πινελιά ήταν ότι μας προσέφερε φραγκόσυκα από τον κήπο και γενικά ήταν πάντα πρόθυμος και παρών ώστε να μη μας λείψει το παραμικρό. Όταν ξανάρθουμε στο νησί, σίγουρα θα επιλέξουμε να μείνουμε και πάλι εκεί.

Το ξενοδοχείο ήταν ωραίο, είχε ό,τι χρειαζόμασταν ήταν σε ιδανικό σημείο και η οικογένεια που το είχε πολύ φιλόξενη!!! Αν ξαναπάω σίγουρα θα επιλέξω το ίδο κατάλυμα!!!

The staff was GREAT! Always available both during the day and night. Super! We were a group of 6 young adults and the location was perfect. It is so close to the bus stop and to the night life. The property has everything you need during the stay. We really recommend it!

La posizione è eccellente, praticamente al centro della chora, con la fermata del bus principale a pochissimi metri. È anche molto vicino al porto, soprattutto, George offre un servizio navetta dal porto all’hotel e viceversa efficientissimo: al nostro arrivo era già lì ad aspettarci. È giusto menzionare la disponibilità del personale in generale, alla reception c’è sempre qualcuno (h24) e ci hanno sempre dato risposte pronte. Per quanto riguarda la struttura, la zona esterna è molto bella e curata. Le camere offrono tutto ciò che serve, anche se potrebbe essere fatta qualche rinnovazione (soprattutto alla doccia). Ad ogni modo, credo che praticamente tutte abbiano un balconcino. L’appartamento, invece, è molto bello, grande e spazioso, con molti posti letto, tavoli e sedie. Sia nell’appartamento che nelle camere l’aria condizionata era funzionante. L’hotel presenta anche un servizio bar/ristorante con prezzi onesti e cibo buono; per la colazione è perfetto, ma anche per gli altri pasti (questo non è aperto h24, ma non ricordo gli orari esatti).

A mio parere, la pulizia potrebbe essere migliore. In teoria ogni giorno dovevano essere pulite le stanze, cambiando le lenzuola e gli asciugamani, ma in realtà un paio di giorni non è stato così. Dal secondo giorno in poi hanno smesso di darci gli asciugamani piccoli per il viso/capelli. Inoltre, mi sembrava che non si spazzasse a terra. Nonostante questo, ogni richiesta era esaudita; quando ho chiesto alla reception degli asciugamani me li hanno dati subito senza esitazioni.

We stayed in Markos Village for a week and were genuinely delighted with the entire experience. The hotel is in a perfect location just steps away from the bars, restaurants, shops, and the beautiful town of Chora. The bus stop is conveniently right across the road, with buses running every 15 minutes, making it incredibly easy to get around the island. The family who run the hotel are exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble. With a 24‑hour reception, they keep your keys for you, are always available if you need anything, and make you feel completely looked after from the moment you arrive. The hotel offers €2.50 toasties and €7 cocktails, all delicious and very reasonably priced. The pool area is lovely perfect for relaxing during the day and has a stunning view over the island. The rooms are simple but ideal, clean, air‑conditioned, equipped with a small fridge, and the sheets and towels were changed daily. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Ios itself is a beautiful island, whether you’re visiting for nightlife or relaxation, and staying at Markos Village made our trip even better. Highly recommend.

Could not recommend staying at Markos any more. If you’re visiting IOS for a „party” holiday then you’d be stupid to stay anywhere else. People from surrounding hotels come visit the pool during the day and drink here at night which goes to say it’s just the ideal place to be. Food here is amazing and pricing is 10/10, drinks are delicious and such a good price. Super chilled and helpful owners. Had a gorg balcony too which added so much to the stay

Personnel très gentil, ils viennent vous chercher et vous reporter au port! Belle grande piscine avec vue incroyable, parfait pour se reposer Le meilleur emplacement, tout juste en face de la Chora et à distance de marche de 2-3 minutes de tous les services, incluant l'arret de bus Les chambres sont plutot petites mais parfaite pour ce qu'on avait besoin, très belle terasse Bon rapport qualité prix!

Struttura perfetta, pulita e personale accogliente. Dovete venire qui. George ed i suoi figli sono spettacolari, ci sono venuti a prendere al porto e sono sempre stati a completa disposizione. Posizione perfetta nel centro, piscina pulita e camera accogliente. Ci ritorneró.

George and his family were so welcoming, it was so nice of him to do free transfers to and from the port, and he even managed to get us a taxi at the last minute to catch the sunset! The location was perfect, almost everything was walking distance and there was also a good bus service nearby. Everything was very clean and the pool was amazing. We will definitely be staying here again!

everything was perfect. the family running the place were so lovely and very accommodating. rooms were clean and tidy and we got fresh sheets and towels every day and our room was fully cleaned. the food was also so nice, especially the pizza. 100% recommend

Everything. Free pick up from the ferry, spotless room, balcony, pool, good strong shower, toiletries, a/c, and the owner was very available for any problems. I asked for a anti mosquito device and he sent it to my room in a few minutes.

We loved how friendly and helpful all the staff were. We really appreciated them picking us up from and dropping us off at the port. We felt very safe that there was always someone at the reception area all the time. Ideal location for being close to the main town and for nightlife. Also lovely pool area for sunbathing and great freddo cappuccinos!!

The best place to stay in Ios! Such a good location and the staff are so friendly with someone available to help 24/7! The pool is a bonus and the food and drinks are affordable and tasty. I would recommend to anyone!

Perfect spot for young travellers. Really reasonable price as well. Close to plenty of bars and shops which is convenient. George and his family were amazing and I can’t say enough about them. Would definitely return if I ever came back to Ios. Recommend going up to St. Nikolaos for sunset (10 min walk)

Μείναμε σε αυτό το ξενοδοχείο στο κέντρο της Ίου και μείναμε απόλυτα ικανοποιημένοι! Η τοποθεσία είναι εξαιρετική – πολύ βολική για να εξερευνήσεις τη Χώρα, με μαγαζιά, εστιατόρια και στάσεις κοντά. Η εξυπηρέτηση ήταν άψογη: το προσωπικό ευγενικό, πρόθυμο να βοηθήσει με ό,τι χρειαστήκαμε και πάντα με χαμόγελο. Το δωμάτιο ήταν καθαρό, άνετο και είχε όλα όσα χρειαζόμασταν για μια ευχάριστη διαμονή. Γενικά μείναμε πολύ ευχαριστημένοι και σίγουρα θα το επιλέγαμε ξανά στο μέλλον. Το προτείνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα!

We just finished a week in IOS staying at Markos Village and it was great! The owner of the hotel, George, picked us up upon arrival and gave us a tour of the local area (shops, bars, clubs, restaurants etc.), which made settling into the new environment very easy. If you are looking to visit Ios Markos Village is the best place to stay not only in its proximity to both the nightlife IOS offers but also the two beach fronts and restaurants that are only a short walk away. The hotel itself was clean very well kept and offered great snacks and drinks (of your choice) at the bar by the pool. The atmosphere of the venue is very accommodating to those looking to indulge in the nightlife IOS has to offer but also caters for those prioritising the more relaxed picturesque aesthetic that this beautiful island is also renown for. The highlight of the trip however comes down to the family run business who take pride in ensuring you are having the best time possible! and for that I am sure we will be back again in the future. Cant recommend enough. Staff brought us to and from the ferry. They were so friendly and accommodating the entire trip. We were a group of 10 girls, all 18/19 years old and felt so safe. Less then a 5 min walk from the nightlife and the night guard being there all night made us feel so safe and we could leave our keys with him when we went out for the night and he was so friendly. They had €2 shots, €6 cocktails, €7 pizzas, chips, toasties etc down in reception. The food and drinks were so good. Every night there was a great atmosphere and they let us pre drink downstairs. We even had a medical emergency during our trip not in the accommodation but George called an ambulance for us and translated from Greek to English for us so we could communicate with the doctors. The rooms were such good value. They were standard but had all we needed, comfy beds, a fridge, air conditioning, shower, hair dryer etc. Will 100% stay here again our trip would not have been the same without them.

Their photos on the website are a little off putting because they’re out dated and they don’t do this hotel justice!

My first room was located on the ground floor, the bed was uncomfortable and I had no privacy. After voicing these concerns to the owner, he gave me a lovely room on the first floor. :)

George was an absolute legend!! Him, Maria and all the staff were absolutely amazing and so welcoming!! Rooms were clean with an awesome view. I'd rate Markos a 10/10 and highly recommend staying there great Vaue for money, cheap food and drinks at the bar I'd definitely stay there again 100% !!
