AV Suites

We stayed in Room D2 at AV Suites, which was advertised as a Queen Studio. Unfortunately, our experience fell significantly short of expectations, and I feel compelled to provide an honest assessment for future guests. First and foremost, the listing photographs are highly misleading. The room appeared far more modern, polished, and comfortable online than it does in reality. The flooring consists of bare concrete rather than, wood, tiles, carpet, or any finished surface, giving the room a somewhat unfinished appearance. Throughout our stay, sand continually accumulated on the floor despite regular sweeping, and we were unable to determine where it was coming from. Cleanliness was another major concern. There were persistent ant infestations, particularly around the kitchenette area and we didn’t even eat or use it, several elevated surfaces had thick layers of dust that appeared to have been neglected for an extended period. While towels were replaced and the room was tidied during our stay, this occurred after we raised concerns and specifically requested assistance. The most disappointing aspect of our stay was the air conditioning. Prior to booking and being allocated to our room, we specifically asked whether the room had strong, effective air conditioning, as this was a key requirement for us. We were assured that it was functioning properly. Upon arrival, however, it became immediately apparent that the unit was struggling to cool the room adequately. After we complained, maintenance was sent to service the unit, but there was no noticeable improvement. We reported this, and were told another technician would attend the following day while we were out. Although we were informed this had been done, the air conditioning remained ineffective. To make matters worse, the air conditioning remote displayed a service warning light throughout our stay, which I will include in my review photographs.

Deluxe King Seaview room was amazing and absolutely as per the photographs. Pool, bar and restaurant were great. Short distance to a quiet white sand beach and a 5 min cab ride out of the business of PG

Only downside was I didn’t know how to dull the outside lighting on the balcony which caused the room to be quite bright overnight

L'hôtel est un très beau bâtiment à une courte distance d'une belle plage où il n'y a presque personne. Le personnel est très souriant et serviable. Très content de n'avoir pas choisi à White Sand beach où les restos sont chers et l'ambiance stressante avec beaucoup de marchands ambulants. Ici, rien de tout cela; la paix! J'ai fait une erreur en réservant une nuit en double et ils ont fait beaucoup d'efforts pour finalement m'en faire crédit à dépenser sur place alors que rien ne les obligeait. Même qu'Agoda refusait l'annulation. J'ai trouvé que tout le monde a été très professionnel et compréhensif à résoudre mon problème. J'ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour et je recommande chaleureusement.

Mais oui, c'est un peu d'exercice pour remonter vers l'hôtel en revenant de la plage. Mais une petite douche à la piscine et un plongeon vous reconciliera avec l'effort!

Internet zeer zwak. Restaurant zeer zwak.(wil beleefd blijven) De bar rond het zwembad gaat open van 16 tot 21u. Maar wees gerust er is bijna nooit iemand aanwezig. Wat niet vermeld staat is dat je fysieke conditie prima moet zijn. Trappen stijl omhoog. Enkel de kamer is prima, de rest is niets. Valt ook niets te beleven in de omgeving. Je moet toch 3,5km verder gaan om degelijk restaurants te vinden, in het hotel is het echt niet goed.

Property on steep hill. Need to climb heaps of steps to get to property. Difficult to access with luggages. Not suitable for disabled, elderly people. No lift. Property too far away from White Beach. No beach access.

Each room has a security fee of 2000 pesos....it is better if security fee is per booking only.

The location is remote and far from other restaurants which is needed because the kitchen is not always open 24/7. The tuktuks do not always take us up the main entrance so we always climb the stairs from the bottom.

The King Suite was big and roomy. Very clean and cozy. Very friendly helpful staff and good food!! Good AC and big TV. There's also a nice private beach you can visit near the hotel, if you don't want to go all the way to White Beach.

Long stairs leading up to the hotel. Some green flakes coming from pipes in the bathtub. Just let the water flow a while for it to go away before bath. You have to connect your phone to the TV to watch Netflix.

Das Hotel liegt ein paar Minuten von White Beach und damit vom Trubel entfernt. Es liegt erhöht, weshalb man einen tollen Blick auf Meer und Berge hat. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist in Ordnung. In der Nähe des Hotels sind 2 sehr gute und sehr empfehlenswerte Restaurants: Analyn und Fhaye Moss. Der nächste Strand ist nur ein paar Gehminuten entfernt. Unser Zimmer war geräumig. Dusche und Toilette getrennt. Es war ruhig im Haus.

Unser Aufenthalt war hier und da etwas kompliziert. Zimmerservice haben wir erst auf unsere Bitte erhalten. Unseren Schlüssel mussten wir für die Zeit im Hotel lassen. Morgens einfach entspannt im Hotel frühstücken, gestaltet sich ebenfalls etwas zeitintensiv. Am besten ist es am Vortag das Frühstück vorzubestellen. Man hat die Möglichkeit zwischen 3-4 Optionen zu wählen. Dazu bekommt man Instantkaffee oder O-Saft. Möchte man Brühkaffee oder ähnliches muss dies zusätzlich bezahlt werden. Jede weitere Änderung des Frühstücks ebenfalls. Bestellt wird an der Rezeption, nicht am Tisch. Da wir nicht vorbestellt haben, hätten wir eine halbe Stunde Wartezeit gehabt, da zuerst die Gäste bedient wurden, die vorbestellt haben. Wir haben uns dann für ein Frühstück außerhalb entschieden. Im Zimmer fehlte leider eine Möglichkeit die nassen Badesachen vernünftig aufzuhängen. Einen Föhn bekommt man auf Nachfrage an der Rezeption. Das Waschbecken war im Zimmer integriert. Leider fehlten dort Haken um die genutzten Handtücher aufzuhängen. Wir hatten ein Fenster zu einem kleinen Balkon raus. Es gab jedoch keinen direkten Zugang vom Zimmer oder Balkonmöbel. Schade.

The pool was beautiful and gave a spectacular view on its surroundings. The balcony to have breakfast had an even better view on the sea. The staff looked after us very well and were proactive. Their special welcome drink was a treat. We never felt overcrowded by other guests as there was enough space for everyone.

Super friendly and very helpful staff. The pool is very nice to relax in and the location is nice and quiet, ideal for resting. The room I was in was big and the beds are nice and comfortable. Good air con.

The property was great but not very convenient for the beach or nearby restaurants because of the steep hills involved

By accident I took a room with no A/C, I asked for an upgrade and they told be the charge that was not expensive than offered by booking.com. The hotel was empty (just me and another room) and they still did not want to offer an room change. Also, they have been texting me 2 days before my arrival that the ferries are cancelled due to bad weather and they offer me free cancellation or change of dates. I told them that I want to wait to see it the ferries are indeed cancelled - eventually all was according to schedule. I think that due to the very low occupancy, they just wanted me not to come. They also told me about different opening hours of the restaurant. I did not feel very welcome.

I liked the hotel itself. It's got spacious and elegant rooms for the whole family's accomodation. The staff were nice and pleasant. My mom had an accident while climbing the stair and it was good that she was attended to immediately by the medical staff. Breakfast was good and served quickly. The infinity pool is good addition and the view from the top is breathtaking.

What disappointed me was that the climb up the steep location on the hill was not revealed on the description of the hotel. Had I known it beforehand, I would not booked there because of my mother who could barely walk. There are no facilities to climb up safely and comfortably especially for my mom. We had to climb up with our luggages and somebody with a weak heart would most likely not make it. The stairs did not have railings also so it wasn't safe.

The room was not very well appointed, no basin, no where to put anything in the bathroom for ladies. Bed and pillows very hard, not comfortable in the slightest, the bed was very hot to sleep on even with air con running.

This is one of the great suites in Puerto Galera.Waking up with the sounds of the waves.Their staff is friendly and polite.I enjoyed my stay in Av Suites.Their amenities are great they have a great food as well.Highly Recommended!❤️Thanks Av Suites!

I like the location of the facility. It has a beautiful view of the sea and the mountain. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly, especially Jessica, Charmaine and Prizza. Also, our room has a nice view. The bathroom and the shower were roomy and nice.

It was a challenge going up because of the elevation but no big deal. Maybe an additional mirror would be helpful. The reception and the dining area have no AC.

It's hard to go to the location due to the steepness and the height of the stairs. Not recommended for kids and elderly.. The room also doesn't include hairdryer.

The staff were super friendly and helped us with everything we needed including extending our stay for another few hours and also extending our rent for the motorbike which was super helpful. The also helped where the best place and where they recommend us to eat. The location is up a hill but it was okay for us as the it was in a quiet place with the best view but not only that the white beach was nearby and also a resturant called luna with italian food which was really nice. There was also a beach right infront of the hotel across the road and into the trees which was more peaceful than the white beach so at this location you really had best of both worlds.

In front of a beautiful beach. The view from the hotel is INSANE, so beautiful. There is 2 small pools with amazing view. My room was clean with AC. Really a GREAT PLACE TO STAY. I will be back!

This is a beautiful place with great facilities. My only complaint is that even though the room prices are a great deal, the extras are not. For example, food and transportation are expensive. Next time I will pick this place but plan to eat out.

This property is not beachfront, it is a little bit of a beach view. Most important, property is up on a hill with lots of stairs inside and outside the hotel. There are no elevators. You have to preorder your food.

Top View from Garden & Pool as well as from the room - very tasty food home made, we had lunch & dinner and we tried different delicacies, a big thank to the chef. Staff is very friendly and at guest's disposal. Valentine's special menu & surprise organised from the Av Suite Staff, simply the best. Room was very pretty, lots of space, little garden to chill and drink coffee( kettle, coffee & tea with fridge) slippers & toothpaste & toothbrush available with shampoo & shower gel. Shower was very spacious. Bed and pillows very comfortable too. AC is working very well and cooling the room very fast. Parking space for car & motorcycle. Amazing infinity pool with view.

The views were fantastic. Big rooms, comfy bed and a good shower. The food was very good but the portions were on the small side for us. Price for food and drinks are good

The only downside was that we hot no help with our luggage. It was pouring with rain when we arrived and one member off staff was in the wrong place at the wrong time and carried one case. I carried 2x 20kg cases and our friends also carried theirs. No help at all on leaving. We did a relay with our cases. Considering the number of steps to negotiate it was a poor show. 3 of us are 60+ luckily we are fit

Breathtaking beautiful views and spacious property. Rooms are clean and comfortable including the bed. The staff are friendly and helpful. I also like that there is a water station for fresh drinking water. Transportation easily available if you need to go somewhere.

Don t book the activities with them, not worth it. I have got scammed by the driver, his name is Malwin, license 0414. I needed to do laundry but it was not working, ended up paying 3 times more to get it done. (Simply advice in advance the customer)

I genuinely appreciated how approachable and welcoming the staff were during our stay. They truly made a difference in what turned out to be a smooth and enjoyable experience for us. The location is absolutely breathtaking, and the view is so calming and relaxing. We also enjoyed the food immensely. Since this was our first visit to Puerto Galera, I can confidently say we will cherish our time here and will definitely be back at this lovely villa.

I absolutely adore this place; it offers a serene and tranquil atmosphere where you can truly savor a peaceful setting and enjoy stunning sea views while dining, swimming in the pool, sipping drinks at the bar, or simply relaxing. While it may be a bit distant from the main attractions, you won’t notice it, as they take care of everything for you—from arranging transportation to any local spot to effortlessly booking tours. The food was delightful, though the selection is somewhat limited, it was more than sufficient for my taste and incredibly flavorful. However, what stood out the most during my stay was the staff; they were consistently respectful and attentive. My vacation was completely stress-free thanks to their exceptional service. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends, and without a doubt, if I return to the beautiful island of Mindoro, I will choose to stay at this hotel again.

The view is so nice that it is claiming to the soul when we were in the pool area even from our room was a nice view of the mountainside. The staff was nice and accommodating but the rooms is really nice clean and the bed has a very nice comforter blanket so nice with the aircon on when we was sleeping 🤗😊

The only thing that I didn't like was our room was a little bit noisy because it was beside the reception and common area , and the possibility of people might be able to hear us as we can hear them . The driveway up is a hard walk up lol and going down with a motorcycle is even more challenging lol but after the first time down, it is much easier but it is a nice place to stay for sure 100 %

An excellent hotel with wonderful staff—everyone is so polite and friendly. The hotel is very clean, and the rooms have a pleasant scent. The view from our room was stunning, and in the morning, you can hear birds singing.

Some people might not like the steep walk up to the hotel, but we saw it as a nice little workout.

Booked 2 nights at the AV Suites and it did not disappoint. The resort is only a 10 min trike ride away from White Beach. We loved the view and the place is so quiet plus the staff led by Mel is very nice. Gober our trike driver, was great and always on time. The rooms are spacious, pool was refreshing and the food was always fresh and cooked to order. Beware though to get up to the reception is steady climb up some stairs so you will get a work out. We will be back!

There are so many great things about AV Suites. The staff was great! Well trained but not robots. Very friendly and personable. They made us feel very welcome and really seem to take pride in the resort. First the views are incredible and stunning. Standing on the balcony of our room was amazing. We stayed for 9 days and the room was big enough for us. We didnt feel cramped up on the 1 day it rained. There are a few things I wish that I had known before we stayed there. Maybe other reviews mentioned it but I will stress that there are stairs. :) Blessed with stairs. I loved it it was like a daily workout, however, some people may not be so happy about it. Also, I wish I hadnt rented a car. The parking was a bit challenging. The driveway is a little scary to drive up because its super steep. When I go back..and I will go back.. I will just get a driver to the hotel and take Toktok or trikes for my transportation. That is probably the cheapest and easiest solution. I just want to say that the stairs and parking had little effect on our stay, but it is something I think people should know about. If you are not familiar with the area you should know that Aninuan beach is well within walking distance. Its not obvious, but there is a little entrance just a few hundred feet from AV Suites driveway on the other side of the road. I would recommend going there its great and the water is fairly shallow. There are some great local places to eat in Puerto Galera and on White Beach.

The rooms are spacious, the staff are all very very nice. The view, pools and poolside bar are all very make for a beautiful setting. Note they do require a 2,000p deposit, but had no issue getting it refunded

The driveway up is pretty steep and a bit scarry if you are riding a motorbike or need to walk. Once you do it a couple times, its gets easier.

The location was so beautiful, and the property was amazing and very comfortable. The space in the room was massive. The people were so friendly.

Nice view and big room windows

No hot water. The management was already aware of this but seems it can't solve this problem. There was also hardly any water pressure so showering was almost impossible during the two days. Difficult to use the hairdryer. The dryer should be fixed on the wall instead of just place it in the bathroom. The deposit box was very small and not fixed anywhere. Didn't serve the actual purpose and valuables always had to be taken with you when you left the room. Very few amenities were available in the bathroom. Apart from shower gel and hair shampoo, which had the consistency like water, there were only two toothbrushes available and not even a hand soap. Hotel restaurant with very limited opening hours and close during lunchtime. This hotel can't provide even close a 5-star standard.

I had the room on the 3rd floor and it was absolutely beautiful. The pricing for room service and mini bar was very reasonable and loved the convenience of everything I needed. Pool has a spectacular veiw ! Breakfast was a decent portion but very delicious.

Location wasnt too bad but did have to tuktuk around. It is located in Aninuan but not on the beach.

We loved that the rooms were spacious and generally clean. The view from the top of the hill was fantastic, overlooking the entire bay. The hotel is generally quiet away from the crowds. Comfortable beds. Lots of towels and storage spaces.

We struggled going up the many steps towards the top of the hill where the hotel was. The pool wasn't as clean. The room we stayed in was directly below the balcony restaurant so we would hear the sounds coming from the staff moving the furniture while cleaning. Breakfast had small servings. Credit card transactions had 3% charge. The Aircon in our room wasn't strong nor desirably cold. There wasn't any soap and shampoo provided as well.

The staff were great and the cleanliness of the hotel.

The rooms were relatively new, spacious and has a unique theme. The staff were also very helpful and accomodating (although it is not 24/7).

The amount of stairs needed to reach the place (plus the very steep incline for vehicles). It is not for those who have knee problems or who have mobility problems.

I booked a room for my parents anniverssary, they took care of everything even on a short notice, from room decoration to romantic dinner set up by the pool, they have a restaurant too that serves breakfast,lunch and dinner so its convenient for my Senior and PWD parents because they don't have to go out to dine. Staff are accommodating and attentive too.The infinity pool with beautiful sunset view is my favorite.Will be back soon☆☆☆☆☆!
