Salt Resort & Spa

We had such a lovely stay at Salt. It’s a small, relaxed hotel right on the beach and has a really warm, personal feel to it. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our stay and made us feel very welcome. The location is beautiful — we loved being able to wake up by the sea, have breakfast overlooking the water and walk straight out into Amed. The pool area is lovely for relaxing and the whole place has a very laid-back Bali feel without trying too hard. Our room was comfortable and clean, the food was really good and we also loved having the spa right there. It’s especially nice that everything feels quite personal rather than like a big resort. Amed itself is a real Balinese village, so you do hear normal village life around you from time to time, but for us that was part of the charm and experience of staying here. Would definitely stay again. One of those places that feels very easy to settle into and you don’t really want to leave.

The staff are warm and welcoming, the restaurant was excellent and for anyone that is gluten free they do a great job. We had the beachfront suite and the patio was perfect, had our own couch and dining table to enjoy beachfront. It was a relaxing getaway for great value.

The bathroom and furniture in the room was a bit sparse and while many reviews note the road noise we didn’t hear any in the beachfront room. However please be aware there is a third floor night club very close and above this room, close enough you can hear loud talkers at the club clearly. Music was noticeable but always ended by 11 except when they had a DJ and it was so loud in the room you couldn’t hear anything else to the point I just waited to go to bed until they finished despite a 5:30am start the next day. Most of the time it was a very peaceful and relaxing room but just trying to set expectations for future guests.

The food (chef) is really, really good, and you do not have to go out to try other things. The staff. Overly professional. A team of young, motivated people. 10/10

Although the people working here are super welcoming, although the food was good and the menu having various options the pnly drawback is a very very loud environment with motorbiks and boats surrounding the place, our room too humid due to absence of windows in the bathroom (this emphasized some allergies I have) and also the lack of maintenance as the door handles were in a bad shape sadly.. this hotel has everything to be a very good one but for the price this is sadly not what we expected.. and just like all of Amed Grab does not work here (even motorbike grab) Not thst the wastes pn the beach are not from the hotel.. fisherman come in the morning snd leave the boats and some extras like wood and stuff thete.. still the beach shoul be maintained

Die Anlage ist schön, obschon sie kleiner ist als man auf den Fotos erwarten würde. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Man hat alles was man braucht. Frühstück war lecker. Massage war toll!

Das Personal ist viel zu schlecht ausgebildet. Es spricht kaum einer Englisch und so wurden an einem Morgen bei vielen das falsche Frühstück gebracht. Ausserdem musste ich 40min! auf mein Frühstück warten und bin zu spät zum tauchen gekommen. Die Getränke sollten nicht so lange brauchen und zb die Früchteplatte könnte vorbereitet werden. Auch die die Englisch konnten hatten von nichts eine Anhnung und man wurde immer zum nächsten weiter geschickt bis irgendwer beim Management nachgefragt hat. Ich hatte ein Pastsgericht zum Mittagessen, dies war wirklich schlecht

We loved Salt it had such a relaxing vibe to it. Staff were amazing! Loved the layout of the rooms to the pool. We had an early start to go to a temple so they organised a packed takeaway breakfast the night before. Would definately return if we came back to Bali

We only had one problem our bathroom had a terrible drain smell. We reported it and staff tried the best they could to help fix it.

L’accès direct à la plage fait le charme de l’hôtel ainsi que la piscine avec une vue direct sur la mer. Le petit déjeuner était très bon et le restaurant aussi. La chambre était parfaite et contenait tout ce dont il y avait besoin.

Frühstück war sehr gut 👍 tolle große Zimmer mit sehr hoher Decke und gutem Raumklima. 20 Meter zum Srand. Angenehm überschaubares Resort.

Resort-Manager war arrogant und unfreundlich zu Personal und Gästen.

We loved the look of the hotel and the room was a great size. We loved having so much of our own space both inside and out. The location of our room being a step away from the sand on the beach was amazing especially for the sunrise in the morning being visible from our window, right out on the ocean. It was very peaceful and the staff were very attentive and lovely. Food was not too bad either but the service, view and price made it all excellent.

There was a bit of a smell in the room, especially the bathroom. I sprayed quite a bit of perfume around the room which helped and I couldn't smell it anymore but the bathroom just had a bit of an odour.

Un sitio precioso, en primera línea de la playa de Amed, a 100m de la orilla tienes una vida marina increíble para hacer snorkel. El personal del hotel un 10, super atentos, amables y simpáticos. Estabamos en septiembre casi solos, una maravilla, volvería a alojarme allí. 10 de 10.

Emplacement bruyant car chambre devant la réception. Passage en continue. Bataille de chien toute la nuit, bruit de la route … Très dessus du front de mer qui est inexistant. Sur les photos il y a énormément de transat sur la plage et une belle plage propre. Réalité aucuns transat et pire plage du coin.

Excellent choice of resort. Very friendly staff throughout the resort, from pool guy, reception, bar and restaurant staff. All so welcoming and doing everything for us, even things we didn’t know we needed 😂 like cappuccino delivered to our terrace. Pool was excellent with great views of the ocean. Bed comfortable shower great best stocked mini bar I’ve ever seen! Within walking distance to mini mart chemist and multiple restaurants and bars. It’s not high end but definitely value for money and would stay here again if we get back to Amed

The fact that the hotel entrance is very unappealing and makes you wonder if you’re actually at a hotel at all! The reception area is strange being placed to the side in a small squishy area.

Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig und ich habe die Nächte, die wir da waren kaum geschlafen. Es liegt am Rande von Amed und um nach Amed zu kommen muss man an einer stark befahrenen Straße entlanggehen.

The rooms were smelly and had serious issues with the utilities, which made the stay very uncomfortable. When we decided to leave because of these property-related problems, the refund situation was handled extremely poorly. When we told them we wanted to leave early, they repeatedly said they did not know how the refund would be handled and that it might take a week to determine. We waited for an answer, but even after we had already left early, they only told us one week later that no refund would be provided. Shouldn’t this have been clarified at the time we decided to leave? They should have found out the refund policy and informed us before we left, so that we could make an informed decision and protect our rights as guests. Instead, they let us leave without giving us a clear answer, and only after a week told us that we would not get our money back. This is completely unreasonable and extremely disappointing. I have never experienced a situation like this before, where the property’s own issues caused us to leave, yet the responsibility was ultimately pushed onto the guest.

Staff were excellent, we enjoyed food in the restaurant and the beach from location is amazing. Our rooms were all lovely and although we did have a slight mix up with one of our rooms the staff managed to sort everything out and went out of their way to ensure we were happy.

Personnel aimable et accueillant. Cuisine variée et bonne avec un bon rapport qualité prix.

Chambre trop proche de la route avec beaucoup de passage et nuisances sonores (chiens hurlants la nuit, scooter très bruyant: que l’on soupçonne appartenir au partron, basse court, trafic). Bref si vous souhaitez dormir la chambre 1 est à fuir.

L'emplacement était très bien car proche du centre et au bord de l'eau. La plage était belle. Les chambres sont confortables, la literie était parfaite. Les 20mn de massage gratuites sont très appréciables. Le petit déjeuner était très bien.

Great location, friendly staff, good food.

The bathroom smelled really bad, they tried cleaning it but it was very bothering. There was no coffee maker in the room, I intentionally went back to the site to make sure it’s listed and it was but only kettle. The restaurant is great but you have to make sure they understand your request. Even after they repeat the order they bring it out differently. The day I left I ordered a latte to go, asked for just half milk, never mentioned anything else. They charged me a double shot and added the same amount of milk and it end up being 115k.

La lentezza dei servizi, la mancanza di piatti elencati nel menu per due giorni di seguito a colazione. Mancanza di un armadio o mobili per sistemare i bagagli nonostante la stanza fosse enorme. Rattoppi nella doccia, non era possibile gettare la carta igienica nel water ma bisognava metterla nel cestino.

Meget fint og hyggeligt lille resort. Der er ikke så mange værelser og det gør stedet meget hyggeligt. Det ligger lige ved stranden og vi kunne se havet fra vores terrasse og høre bølgernes susen om natten. Poolen er skøn og det er altid muligt at få en dejlig solseng at ligge på. Personalet er meget søde og især de to damer i spaen/massagen var virkelig søde. Der er en fin lille restaurant, som vi spiste på hver dag og hvor der også var mulighed for at nyde maden på sin egen terrasse. Hver morgen vælger man sin morgenmad ud fra et stort og lækkert udvalg. Man kan nemt gå rundt og se resten af Amed.

Man får en flaske med vand på værelset, men det kan være lidt besværligt at få den fyldt op igen. Måske der kunne være adgang til en vandautomat.

We stayed at this resort with our six-year-old son for 10 days and we have had a truly wonderful experience. ❤️ The place is absolutely beautiful, right by the sea, with a stunning swimming pool. The rooms are lovel and they are surrounded by beautiful frangipani trees. 🌺 Everything is always spotlessly clean, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is peaceful and joyful. The staff are truly wonderful! A special thank you to the whole team who have taken care of us, especially the lovely girls who served us at breakfast with such beautiful smiles, the boys who kept our room so clean, and above all Laksmi. She is very young, but incredibly capable, kind and professional. 🌸 We feel truly grateful to have spent our holiday in this beautiful place. If we return to this part of the world, we will definitely come back. We wholeheartedly recommend it to other travellers. 🙏❤️ Thank you to everyone for making our stay so special! ✨

Petit hôtel avec piscine bon restaurant

Petit hôtel tout mignon en front de mer, on dort bercés par le bruit des vagues. Très bon restaurant, nous nous sommes regalés pour le dîner et petit déjeuner, vue sur mer.a

L'emplacement front de mer est agréable, mais à 30 min à pied des spots de snorkeling comme Jemeluk Bay. Le soir, pour rejoindre le centre d’ Amed, une portion de la route n'est vraiment pas éclairée et donc un peu dangereuse... La salle de bain mériterait une petite rénovation, elle tranche négativement par rapport au reste de la décoration très soignée de la chambre.

We liked the staff as they were very accommodating. The position of the resort is good.

We didn't like the apartment we picked as there are large steps invlved to get to it and to get to the kitchen area. This is not evident on the pictures shown on the website. They did give us a de luxe room, which was a better option than the apartment at a cheaper price, but they didn't want to refund us the difference. The noise from the road and the dogs at night time made it uncomfortable.

Die direkte Lage am Strand ist wirklich super. Außerdem kann man es sich auch am Pool gutgehen lassen. Die Möglichkeit von beidem ist klasse. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommenden. Die Zimmer sind sauber und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück ist gut.

Es ist etwas lauter, aber wirklich nur minimal und abhängig vom Zimmer. Dafür gabs tolle kleine Sachen wie Ohrstöpsel, Schlafmaske und Kamillentee. Alles wirklich sehr herzlich vorbereitet.

On était dans un autre bâtiment à l’écart, c’était très sympa car on avait un patio, des transats rien que pour nous mais il fallait emprunter une rue très sale et mal éclairée la nuit.

Très bruyant dès 6h30 du matin.( musique au restaurant) Qui plus est nous avions une chambre qui donnait sur des travaux du coup, nous avions droit aux travaux Très tôt le matin jusqu'à pas d heures le soir. Au restaurant le seul soir au nous avons souper, il a fallu environ 1h30 avant d être servi. Vraiment trop long. Des tâches sur les transats à la plage. Bof bof pour le prix...

Toutes les chambres donnent sur la piscine qui est très agréable, juste quelques pas pour faire un plongeon. Une petite terrasse pour chaque chambre aux abords de la piscine . Une décoration des chambres très jolie .

La salle de bain est fonctionnelle mais rafistolée , des réparations de fortune pas très jolies et pas très nickels et une isolation phonique à revoir .

Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Unsere Erfahrung mit diesem Hotel in Amed war leider deutlich schlechter als erwartet. Positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass die Hotelanlage selbst ordentlich gepflegt wird. Besonders das Personal war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts sehr freundlich, höflich und stets bemüht, den Gästen weiterzuhelfen. Leider konnten die vielen negativen Punkte unseren Aufenthalt dennoch nicht ausgleichen. Der Pool machte zunächst einen guten Eindruck, doch schon nach kurzer Zeit begann das Wasser unangenehm zu riechen. Außerdem wurde es zunehmend trüb und grünlich. Es wirkte auf uns so, als gäbe es keine funktionierende Wasserzirkulation, weshalb wir den Pool anschließend nicht mehr nutzen wollten. Auch das Zimmer hatte einige Mängel. Die Schiebetüren schließen nicht richtig ab, sodass regelmäßig Salamander und andere kleine Tiere ins Zimmer gelangen. Die Klimaanlage ist zudem ungünstig direkt über dem Bett angebracht und bläst die kalte Luft die ganze Nacht direkt auf den Schlafbereich. Schaltet man sie aus, wird das Zimmer innerhalb kurzer Zeit sehr feucht und stickig. Das Badezimmer war ebenfalls enttäuschend. Die Toilettenspülung funktionierte nicht zuverlässig, der Föhn produzierte lediglich kalte Luft, die Duscharmatur fiel teilweise auseinander und in mehreren Ecken befanden sich Schmutz sowie Spinnweben. Insgesamt machte das Bad keinen gepflegten Eindruck. Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls nicht ideal. Es liegt sehr weit außerhalb des Zentrums von Amed. Nachts war es zudem überraschend laut – vorbeifahrende Roller, bellende Hunde und sogar Hundekämpfe sorgten dafür, dass an erholsamen Schlaf kaum zu denken war. Auch die unmittelbare Umgebung des Hotels wirkte auf uns recht ungepflegt und schmutzig. Beim ersten Eindruck waren wir ehrlich gesagt etwas schockiert. Innerhalb der Hotelanlage selbst bemüht man sich zwar um Ordnung und Sauberkeit, die Umgebung lässt sich dadurch aber leider nicht ausgleichen. Zum Aufenthalt gehört ein Gutschein für eine 20-minütige Massage.

The rooms are amazing. I stayed 0 nights in one of the rooms in the other building, right on the beach, very quiet, amazing shower, comfortable bed, Mini bar the list goes on with how many wonderful amenities are included. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars, beach access. The breakfast is massive and so much to choose from. The staff are so friendly and helpful, also they have live entertainment on some nights🌟

I wish I could have stayed longer but unfortunately they were booked out.
