Die Abholung, die Fahrt mit dem Speedboot, die Lage, die Sauberkei, das Essen, der Strand, das Personal, die Betten einfach alles war top! Kann gar nichts anderes schreiben. Für uns ist es klar, das wir nächstes mal Arena Beach Hotel wieder wählen werden. Zum essen im Hotelrestaurant habe ich ein besonders hohes Lob. Dieser Koch kann super kochen, desshalb haben wir den ganzen Aufenthalt dort gegessen. Auf einer Resortinsel isst man nicht so gut und wir waren schon auf einigen Inseln. Bitte lieber Koch, bleib da wo du bist bis wir wieder kommen 😃

The experience in Arena hotels in Maafushi was amazing starting with the arranged transportation from Male Airpot to the island then Epshiba and Majitha making our experience better giving us a better room because of availability and also the day of the check up they were providing a extended check out if they didn’t need the room or a room to shower because our flight was 6h after we supposed to leave the room. Recommend to spend time in their beach, is a really nice spot and the food and drinks were cheaper than we expected. Also we booked the trips with them, just to say we saved 1/3 per person compared to what we saw in internet. We will come back 100%, thank you!

Ens han fet pagar 15$ per un dels seus paraigües que sens va descosir només una mica a causa del súper diluvi… Queia aigua a l’habitacio de l’aire condicionat, i l’aigua de la ducha s’escapava pel terra del lavabo…

Close to the beach, food was good !

The maintenance could be an area for improvement , the furniture were a bit worn out - the cabinet and the door.

The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Most importantly, you could genuinely feel that they were committed to providing the best possible service. Thank you all for your outstanding hospitality.

The first room was dirty beyond words. They then moved us to another room on the 10th floor with a view, which was much better overall.

I want to thank mr shakir he is so professional he arrange everything for my birthday because I informed the reception to do something for me but they forgot they decor only my room but mr shakir he arrange for me a table near to the beach i will never forget that

Eten aan de prijs maar genoeg leuke restaurants op 5min loop afstand

Vanaf het moment dat we bij de ferry werden opgehaald, was alles perfect geregeld. We kwamen tegelijk met veel andere gasten aan, maar daar was het hotel duidelijk goed op voorbereid. Het inchecken verliep snel en soepel. In eerste instantie kregen we twee kamers in de buurt van het zwembad. Omdat we daar wat geluidsoverlast ervaarden, hebben we dit aangegeven. Zonder problemen kregen we direct twee kamers in het nieuwere gebouw. Dat was echt een geweldige service. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Een speciale vermelding voor Hashim van de buitenbar – een echte topper! Ook Bernard (hopelijk schrijf ik zijn naam goed) was fantastisch. Maar eerlijk gezegd geldt dit voor het hele team; iedereen doet zijn uiterste best om je een geweldig verblijf te bezorgen. Wij verbleven hier vier nachten na een rondreis van twee weken door Sri Lanka. Voor ons was dat de perfecte afsluiting en precies lang genoeg. We hadden bovendien prachtig zonnig weer. Op het eiland wordt op verschillende plekken gebouwd. Persoonlijk hebben wij daar nauwelijks hinder van ondervonden. Maafushi is een klein eiland, waardoor alles gemakkelijk lopend bereikbaar is. Wij verbleven hier met drie volwassenen en drie pubers. Wij houden van een levendige sfeer en Maafushi voldeed daarin volledig aan onze verwachtingen. Er is genoeg te doen (qua watersport) er zijn volop restaurants en excursies, en juist daardoor was het voor onze pubers een ideale bestemming. Voor wie op zoek is naar een ontspannen vakantie met wat meer gezelligheid en voorzieningen dan op een resort, is Maafushi wat ons betreft echt een aanrader. Wij zouden dit hotel dan ook zeker aanbevelen!

Als ik één verbeterpunt zou moeten noemen, dan is het het ontbijt. De keuze is wat eentonig en wanneer je later aanschuift, kan het voorkomen dat bepaalde gerechten op zijn. Positief is wel dat het personeel dit direct aanvult zodra je erom vraagt. Dat maakt de service ook hier weer uitstekend. Onze eerste 2 kamers Warren denk ik gerenoveerd, maar de gordijnen waren erg oud. Bij onze vervangende kamers was dit overigens niet zo en was alles netjes.

All crew was helpfull special thanks to Anjali, Sajii, Sojib, Manik, Rithika. Hotel was so clean, thier restuarant has same prices with other but better service ofcourse. Very attractive infinity pool. lastly the location close to water sports, activities and port. If i go again i would stay here.

Maybe because of heat fruits and vegetables was not good at breakfast and their beach has stones so strongly advice bring your sea shoes with you.

I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel and would not recommend it to families. The room was not suitable for a family. The balcony was extremely small and not usable for sitting comfortably. Although I had booked a sea-view room, the overall condition of the room was disappointing. It was not properly cleaned, and the bathroom was poorly maintained. Several bathroom fittings were broken, including the hand shower for the toilet, which caused significant inconvenience. The breakfast was also below expectations. During my three-day stay, the menu was almost the same every day. The bread was not fresh, the quality and taste of the food were poor, and there was very little variety. There were also very limited Asian breakfast options. Overall, the hotel did not meet basic standards of cleanliness, maintenance, or food quality. Based on my experience, I would not choose to stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to others.

The staff and the hotel's activity team were very unprofessional throughout our stay. We paid USD 140 directly for activities that were advertised to last approximately five hours. However, the activities ended after only three hours, and we were not given the full experience we had paid for. There was poor communication regarding the schedule, and we felt that we did not receive value for our money. When we raised our concerns, the hotel reception staff were not helpful and did not make any effort to resolve the issue. This lack of customer service made the experience even more frustrating. Another concern was that all charges were made in U.S. dollars instead of the local currency, which was inconvenient and unexpected. The check-in process was also extremely disappointing. We had to wait for more than two hours before receiving our room. This long delay wasted a significant part of our first day, and my family, especially my children, were very disappointed after such a tiring journey. Overall, the poor customer service, delayed check-in, and failure to deliver the activities as promised made our stay extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to other travelers based on my experience.

Our stay at Arena Beach Hotel was disappointing and fell well below the standards one would expect when visiting the Maldives. The most concerning issue was the cleanliness of the room. We encountered cockroaches during our stay, which is simply unacceptable from both a hygiene and guest experience perspective. This alone raises serious questions about housekeeping standards and pest control procedures. The service was equally disappointing. While hospitality should be a defining characteristic of any Maldivian property, the experience at the restaurant was the opposite. Several interactions with staff members, particularly Ari and Anu, felt indifferent and at times unprofessional. Rather than feeling welcomed, we often felt like an inconvenience. The food was another major letdown. The buffet lacked freshness, variety and quality. Most dishes felt highly industrialized and repetitive, with little resemblance to the culinary experience one would expect in a destination renowned for tourism and hospitality. What makes this particularly frustrating is that the Maldives offers many excellent guesthouses and resorts that genuinely care about guest satisfaction. Arena Beach Hotel, unfortunately, did not demonstrate the same commitment to cleanliness, service or quality. Based on this experience, I would not return and would encourage prospective travelers to carefully evaluate alternative options before booking.

Service is good

The hotel was located next to the Bikini Beach, where guests could wear swimsuits and swim in the sea. The hotel offered a variety of water activities for guests to choose from, including a day trip to snorkel with nurse sharks, and photograph with stingrays and sharks near the beach. Our rooms was lovely with comfortable beds and balconies overlooking the beach.

There was a bellhop who wasn't providing a service approached us and asked to leave good reviews specifying his name.

Staff esp.Iba & majitha helped us settle down easily. They were very friendly.

A localização é excelente. Pé na areia. Mar maravilhoso, melhor lugar para nadar que já fomos, água cristalina com vários tons, sem ondas, compramos Snorkel na lojinha por 25 dólares e fomos até o banco de areia que fica bem em frente ao Hotel nadar e admirar a beleza dos corais e diversidades de peixes, fica a dica. O Restaurante é bom considerando o custo benefício de 18 dólares o jantar. Super recomendamos, em especial para quem não procura se hospedar em bangalôs, como foi o nosso caso.

Sentimos falta de um suco no buffet, embora as frutas compensaram e também de carne vermelha, pois só servem peixe Tune e frango. Mas nada que consideremos relevante para diminuir nossa excelente avaliação.

The view was amazing from this room. The room was really clean and the staff were really supportive. Shout out to Mohammed also helped us book our excursions with ease - if you see him make sure you book your excursions through him (photo attached). If I revisit Maafushi, I will be staying here again.

The hotel is very well organised and super prepared for all types of travellers. The staff were incredibly friendly and mostly helpful. The briefing was very informative and spelt out in as many languages possible. Rooms were small but beautiful with a great outlook. Special mention to Aaiz & Adriano who made our stay that little bit more enjoyable. The boats were in fantastic conduction not only for the transfer but for both the day tours.

Nothing not to like about the property sometimes a few of my dealings with some of the staff were a little difficult and things were too hard and abit slow to react! But mainly fantastic.

Well organized transfer for arrival and departure

Videos and pictures are separated from package and no mentioned in the counter, exactly Arena tour. The counter in the hotel and the staff talked to other one when you even ask questions or pay for the package, Totally not a qualify one. Bad room service, Waiting for over one hour for drinking water. Check in more than 30min for long long long waiting. The price is quite high but the hotel function didn’t worth it.

Отель оставил очень приятное впечатление. Везде чисто и аккуратно, номера ухоженные и комфортные. Еда вкусная и разнообразная, видно, что готовят с душой. Отдельно хочется отметить персонал — вежливые, отзывчивые и всегда готовы помочь. С удовольствием остановилась бы здесь снова!

Es ist Abends super laut, Strand wurde teilweise für Veranstaltungen gesperrt die früh am Morgen um 5 Uhr losgingen.. an Schlaf war nicht mehr zu denken. Das Hotel ist total auf Massentourismus ausgelegt, dementsprechend wird man auch behandelt. Leider ist die ganze Insel so, ich hätte mich besser erkundigen sollen. Für mich ist das nichts

The hotel benefits from a very good location just steps from the beach, which makes it attractive for travelers who want easy sea access. The sea-facing rooms with balcony are worth considering, and the room size is comfortable for a short stay. The breakfast and dinner spread are adequate, offering a decent selection.

However, what significantly affected the overall experience was the service attitude of several staff members, particularly at the reception and restaurant. At the reception, the staff could be much more approachable and service-oriented. On multiple occasions when approaching the counter, there was no greeting, and requests for assistance felt met with reluctance rather than willingness to help. Hospitality should begin at the front desk, and unfortunately this was lacking during our stay. In addition, providing only one room key card is inconvenient, especially when guests have different daily plans. Two key cards should be standard practice. In the restaurant, while some staff were pleasant, the service consistency needs improvement. A special mention to Anju, who stood out for her warm smile and welcoming attitude, making guests feel comfortable and valued. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for others. The chef at the live station often appeared impatient, and his facial expressions frequently suggested annoyance when attending to guests. Hospitality should never make guests feel like they are a burden. Another staff member, Abbas, came across as quite abrupt during drink service. Even after we made payment, there was no acknowledgment or word of thanks, and he simply walked away. Small gestures of courtesy make a big difference in guest experience. High time to change the towels as it really brings down the image of the hotel. Its very worn out.

Angekommen im Hotel wurden wir super nett und hilfsbereit empfangen. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und schön ausgestattet. Besonders positiv ist die supernette Bedienung von den Kellnern im Restaurant. Ein besonderer Gruß geht raus an Abbas der uns stets mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht begrüßt hat und uns an nichts fehlen lassen hat! Niyaz an der Rezeption ist unseren besonderen Wünschen direkt entgegengekommen und hat uns unseren Abreisetag somit noch angenehmer gestalten lassen, vielen Dank dafür! Im gesamten waren wir sehr zufrieden mit allem. Hotel, Lage, Aktivitäten, Transfer und Restaurant alles aus einer Hand und alles sehr gut. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Probably the best hotel on the island. The location is perfect, right in front of the bikini beach, and the views from the rooms and the rooftop are fantastic. The hotel is modern, clean and well organized. The staff were very helpful with excursions and activities. It may be a bit more expensive than other options on the island, but it is definitely worth it for the comfort and location

На равнозначно высоком уровне у отеля - локация, персонал и удобства. В номерах есть в е необходимое. А уборка, действительно, проходит несколько раз в день, когда бы вы ни вернулись в номер, там стерильно чисто и все аккуратно разложено. Отель создан для того, чтобы вы не отвлекались от отпуска и отдыха ни на секунду, это очень ценно. Прямо у отеля два больших пляжа с лазурной водой, лежаками и зонтиками в достаточном количестве для всех желающих. В номерах всегда лежат полотенца для пляжа. Так же в отеле есть 2 бассейна, на 8 и 10 этаже. Есть террасы для встречи заката и рассвета. При заселении персонал подробно рассказывает, какие у вас есть возможности в отеле. Экскурсию “shark bay” я купила тоже в отеле и не пожалела. Экипаж лодки создает максимальный комфорт для туристов, делает потрясающие фотографии со скатами и акулами на ваш телефон и подводную съемку под водой, и создает отличное настроение. Дополнительная оплата за фото и видео с дрона оплачивается только в отеле при получении фото. Вам даже не нужно брать с собой полотенце - его выдают вместе с ластами, маской и спасательным жилетом. А вечером посидите в ресторане отеля на пляже, насладитесь кальяном, который вам сделает Hashim, выпейте фреш и осознайте, как вам повезло с выбором отеля. Очень рекомендую всем.

Don't bother with full board, expensive for what it is, buffet food is disgusting and soft drinks are not even included. Breakfast is very inconsistent, if you want full English breakfast, they will serve omelette and maybe sausage and beans one day or next day just omelette and bacon. When food ran out staff are very slowly at refilling. Staff are very rude and argumentative, trying to get their attention just to ask them to set the table is ridiculous, constantly trying to find and chase staff for some cutlery. The one time we actually had a table set I asked a member of staff to change the cutlery as the spoon has pieces of fruit from a previous person who was sat there, he wiped it with his hand and said its fine and I said no its not I would like clean cutlery please and constant arguing with me about wanting clean cutlery. The coco grill should be hygiene regulated, you can see the kitchen from where your sat and there was piles and piles of grilled chicken just sat next to microwave out all day in 29 degree sun. The ice cream freezer is next to the till and it was very dirty, can tell is hasn't been cleaned in a long time, the ice was matted to the container, ice cream itself and the freezer. Staff at coco grill are very rude, you can hear the waiters and waitresses arguing over who should be serving what table, you could tell they couldn't be bothered with serving you. We got there half an hour before they closed and the waitress huffed and puffed and said they are closing soon so we might not get food and walked off. Every time we sat at coco grill you would be waiting half an hour just for staff to actually acknowledge you and give you a menu and take your order, very slow and ignorant. After that I always found myself chasing them again just to order. Our room was infested with mites, asked for a room change and reception said no.

Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile. La spiaggia purtroppo era piuttosto affollata. La colazione è di tipo internazionale

Le camere sono molto piccole e anche il terrazzino è piuttosto ridotto. Avendo messo un tavolino con due sedie, lo spazio per muoversi risultava molto limitato.

Tæt på strand og spisesteder.

Det virkede til tider kaotisk og bestille ture/aktiviteter, da noget af personalet ikke forstod lige meget engelsk. Det mest belastende var dog, at mange gæster kom for sent til mange af turene og vi andre der kom til tiden, skulle sidde og vente ekstra 20-30 min. på at de lige skulle spise morgenmad først, og intet personale sagde noget til de gæster :(

Hotel był ok. To połączone hotele. Była możliwość korzystania z basenu w innej części. Basen infinity pool bardzo ładnie usytuowany, niestety woda lodowata.

Hotel Arena exceeded all our expectations. We had a beautiful room with an ocean view, and it was cleaned several times a day – which honestly surprised us in the best way! When there was an issue with the photos from one of the excursions, our friend was offered the trip again free of charge. That’s truly amazing hotel policy and exactly why we’ll definitely be coming back. Big applause to you! The food was delicious – absolutely nothing to complain about. We also have to mention an exceptional waiter, Hashim. We wish every hotel had someone like him! Not only was the service fantastic, but he’s also an incredibly kind, helpful and genuinely wonderful person. Thank you for the great, relaxed conversations about the Maldives and Bangladesh. We travel a lot, but we’ve honestly never met anyone like him – so passionate and dedicated to his job. We need more people like this in the world! People like him should be hotel managers! Thanks for everything!

The room had everything I needed, it was cleaned very well (shoutout to Sohel who was very kind), room service was good. I also went on the half day trip, which was well organised. The staff were all very nice.

The water was mostly just lukewarm. Considering it was quite hot outside, I didn't mind it, but it would have been nice to have hot water sometimes. I didn't love the breakfast, but that may just be my own personal preference.

I like that everything was clean, and modern. The staff, omg they were so helpful and always so friendly and easy to talk to. Genuinely made this one of the best hotel stays ever.

The maintenance on the wallpaper in the rooms were the only thing i really had an issue with, other than that the property was in tip top shape.

Que 1 ascenseur pour tout l'établissement, et la nourriture n'était pas assez varié .... Toujours des pâtes et du riz . Le midi le buffet est pas assez conséquent pour ceux qui reste .... Nous n'avions peut être pas les bonnes informations comme il y a plusieurs endroits où se restaurer . Donc juste sur le nouriture je met une moin bonne note ... Sinon tout le reste est parfait !! The staff is so nice. The room was cleaned and resfreshed everyday. They brought us fresh fruits to the room. The buffet was good with live cooking every night. The location of the hotel cannot be better. Just next to bikini beach and 5 minutos walk distance to everything.

The corridor was noisy early in the morning. It has nothing to do with the hotel but the guests. But it was a bit annoying waking up like that
