Reviewed Aug 21, 2026The location was great to stay for one night traveling through the area. The breakfast was okay- a standard hotel breakfast. The beds were comfortable. The family room had sufficient space.
When we arrived, the door said closed and no one was around even though it was a reasonable time within the check-in window. We tried to call the phone number provided, but it was out of service. After about 20 minutes of walking around and trying to get a hold of someone, the owner came outside to let us in. The room we were given had a slanted ceiling. My husband could not stand up straight in 90% of the room. The bathroom shower struggled to get hot water and poured water all over the floor unless directly facing the drain. It seemed like only one other couple was staying there the same night.

Es un sitio raro, muebles de hace muchos años, necesitaría una buena reforma de declaración, además cuando llegamos estaba como cerrado, creo que éramos los únicos huéspedes y se veía todo muy raro, nos hizo dudar de si estábamos en el sitio correcto y si era un sitio adecuado para quedarse

On the positive side, the beds were very comfortable, and we slept well. The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of options, and the views from the breakfast area was good. The staff were also warm and accommodating. Overall, it was a pleasant overnight stop, especially if you're just passing through.
The room was quite basic, and the low ceiling made it feel a bit cramped, so it may not be the best choice for a longer stay. There were no photos of the room to know that it was attic space.

It is dated but it doesn’t matter! The only issue we had was the WiFi didn’t work but it didn’t even matter that much.

Avbestillingen fra Smedsgården samme morgen som vi skulle overnatte, bestillte middag om tirsdagen,ingenting ble sagt om bytte av dører da . Få den beskjeden bare noen timer før avreise,elendig.

Hadde vært fint om vi hadde fått beskjed om dette før vi ankom,så vi hadde sluppet bomtur. Vi ble imidlertid tilbudt et rom,men avslo da de ikke hadde lov til å ha gjester der,og hotellet ellers var helt tomt for gjester.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2026Trotz der Nähe zur Hauptstrasse war es sehr ruhig. Wir haben ein Zimmer reserviert, das es wenig Gäste hatte durften wir in ein Appartement. Das Frühstück war grosszügig, trotz wenigen Gästen.
Das Appartement war komfortabel, es hatte jedoch ein paar kleine Schäden, für mal behoben werden sollten.

Éviter chambre 306 qui ressemble plus à un laboratoire photo. Exigüité et de couleur noir du sol au plafond….

Reviewed Jun 11, 2026Personalen var mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående. Frukosten öppnade kl 8, men jag behövde lämna redan 7:30. Jag frågade om det gick att få en smörgås och kaffe kl 7, men jag fick en full frukostbuffe kl 7. Det är bra service det! Rent och fint, tyst.
Sängen var inte särskilt bra.

Reviewed May 11, 2026If someone is looking for a modern hotel with an elevator and optional accessories, they will be disappointed. This hotel has been in the family 200+ years, originally as a farm. The facility is dated but very charming. We loved it! The owner and manager, Anni, was lovely and very helpful. The mountain beauty from our room window was breathtaking. We spent 3 lovely nights in this cozy hotel which, in some ways, felt more like a home.
