Het was prachtig gelegen, op afstand van de stad, maar toch goed te voet bereikbaar. Goed geregeld facilitair, prachtige kamer, geweldig ontbijt.

Es war ein wundervoller Aufenthalt mit unserem Hund. Das Hotel ist ein Traum. So wunderschön angelegt mit alle Details, das ich mich nicht sattsehen konnte. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Das Essen im Restaurant sowie das Frühstück waren grandios. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und ruhig, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Zeer ruime kamer, brandschoon, goed afgewerkt en heel modern. Niet gehorig. We hebben goed geslapen. Het hotel is goed gelegen en met een klein half uurtje lopen ben je in het centrum van Roermond. Er is ook een bushalte vlakbij. Het kasteel is vanaf de buitenkant prachtig om te zien. Het ontbijt is uitstekend en smaakte zeer goed.

In het kader van verwachtingsmanagement zou het goed zijn wanneer de locatie nog iets prominenter vermeld dat de kamers niet in het kasteeltje zelf zijn gelegen, maar in twee buitengebouwen. Het kasteeltje zelf is van binnen niet te zien of te bezichtigen. Er is enkel een doorgang naar het restaurant en terras. Daar is weinig bijzonders te zien. Het duurde even voordat we ontvangen werden bij de receptie; personeel liep ons gewoon voorbij bij aankomst totdat ik op de (harde) bel drukte. Ik vond het contact bij de ontvangst verder weinig hartelijk. Gedurende ons verbljf hebben we ook niemand gesproken dus voor het persoonlijke moet je niet komen. De dames bij het ontbijt waren overigens wel heel vriendelijk en attent. Voorts hadden wij vermoedelijk de slechtste kamer (junior suite, kamernr. 1). Mensen op het terras keken rechtstreeks onze kamer binnen, dus we moesten de zwarte gordijnen de hele tijd gesloten houden. Zo jammer, want in de middag en ochtend zou je de gordijnen lekker open willen hebben om zonnestralen en licht naar binnen te laten vallen. We zagen daardoor ook niets van het uitzicht en de kamer was wat donker. We hadden ook geen zicht op het kasteeltje zelf. Wij vonden dat absoluut niet in verhouding tot de 270 euro die dit nachtje heeft gekost en het was niet in lijn met de zeer goede reviews van andere reizigers waar wij op voeren bij het boeken van dit hotel. Verder was de kamer zeer groot, maar ontbreken er een fonteintje op het toilet en een kledingkast. Je kunt je kleding kwijt op een soort schoenenplank in de overloop voor de spiegel, maar dat vonden wij niet praktisch. Dus open koffers in de kamer. Rommelig. Verder deed niets in de kamer denken aan het kasteeltje. Het had ook een kamer in een modern hotel kunnen zijn. Dat vond ik zeer teleurstellend want wij boekten juist voor de kasteelervaring. Voor deze prijs zou ik een volgende keer echt elders boeken.

A really special place, small scale castle with just 8 guest rooms, felt very welcome and valued as guests. Amazing food, attentive staff, a real treat to be here.

Super lage. Zu Fuß 40 min zum Outlet. Hund zum Frühstück oder Essen immer willkommen, (1+++) . Resturant TOP 1a Karte und Tolle Küche und Bier war schön Kalt . Haben aber auch eine Weinkarte ( bin kein Weintrinker ) Früchstück am Tisch . Eier frisch zubereitet. Brot leckker. Eine schöne Anlage mit Gartenterrasse . leider zu früh da.

Die lage ist mega, das essen ist hervorragend! Das personal ist sehr zuvorkommend trotz essens allergien konnte ich alles essen es wurde auf alles geachtet.

Das Abendessen im Restaurant war hervorragend und in einem schönen Ambiente. Die Bar ist auch super.

In unserem Zimmer stand ein furchtbares Sofa mit Flecken. Dadurch wirkte es etwas schmuddelig und ungemütlich. Hat einfach nicht zum Rest gepasst.

Einfach eine tolle Lage, sehr ruhig und romantisch gelegen! Auf alle Details wurde geachtet ! Ankommen und sich wie zuhause fühlen! Die Ausstattung war sehr hochwertig und lies keine Wünsche offen. Restaurant und Essen war hervorragend , danke an die Küche! Besonders die kleinen Pralinen , wunderbar😍 Das Frühstück wurde am Tisch serviert und es blieb kein Wunsch offen!Vielen Dank auch für das Glutenfreie Brot und Croissant. Der Service und das Personal war in allen Bereichen perfekt, ich habe sehr selten ein Team kennen gelernt was so gut Hand in Hand zusammen arbeitet( Hauskeeping, Restaurant usw.) The hotel is lovely. Rooms have plenty of space and a nice atmosphere. The restaurant is unique. Every dish we ordered was spectacular. The staff is also very nice and helpful. It's located in a very nice and green area, and there are different cute animals.

Breakfast was not buffet and I prefer buffets. But it was still good. :)

The walls are very thin, you could hear everything. It felt understaffed.

Everything is perfect !! It's always a pleasure to go there. The beds are comfortable, the restaurant is unique, and the environment is so peaceful and beautiful. The owner is kind and makes sure your experience is pleasant.

Fantastic room in lovely location with easy 20 min walk to Roermond to get train to Maastricht. Restaurant was amazing, we ate here each night. Had peacocks and wildlife.

The rooms were really beautiful. The location is awesome, the hotel by itself really stunning.

I really have to tell the most unpleasant part of the story as it still sits with me! When I came in, a woman really unfriendly didn’t even say hello and I had to directly move forward and tell her that I am here to check in. She unfriendly showed me the room by opening the door and that’s it’s! No introduction about breakfast, the pretty complex heating system( room was super cold!!!!!!), nothing. I came back to drink a coffee and even there I had to ask twice where to go! When I asked for gluten-free breakfast she told me that this is not available!!!! The next day in the morning at the breakfast a nicer and more motivated stuff told me that for sure it’s available! So all in all I wanna summarize that as an international frequent traveler, a doctor and trainer of communication skills, this all is a no go for a hotel in this category and as a woman of color I am as well curious about this hole treatment experience. It’s really a pity as the hotel is a really beautiful one but it falls through the stuff.

This is probably one of the nicest places to eat in Roermond. The castle dates from the 18th century and is run by the current operators since 2004. The castle is located in the centre of a parc and surrounded by water. It has been renovated already earlier but recently the restaurant has been beautifully extended. On nice days you can sit outside under the old trees. Plates are fine and price/quality is ok. Can certainly recommend, if you visit Roermond,you should have lunch or dinner here, additionally you can sleep in the outbuilding.

This is a beautiful place with the restaurant floor located within a small castle just outside the city centre. We were heartedly welcomed and brought to the room with an impressive bar. Diner followed with steak tartare and skrei (fish). The surrounding is star worthy, the menu was fine but missed a certain refinement to go for the extra mile. I enjoyed the hospitality and the atmosphere was nice

Dinner with friends. Very nice atmosphere and romantic location. Great hospitality. Yet there are some improvements that could have made the evening perfect. To start with the amuses. Or better not the amuses, as there weren't. We started with Champagne, which was good but somehow overpriced, and before we finished our glasses the first course was served. Regrettably the plates where cold and so was the dish, sole fillet, which was intended to be served hot. Yet, the taste and presentation where good. Wine pairings also good and plenty. Next dish, seabass, was served at the right temperature. Yte, the pairings were quite similar to the first dish. The main dish, deer, was excellent. Grand dessert was also very tastfull. Overall price/quality at Michelin star level, which did not (yet) give value for money.

Another lunch, salade riche remains an all time favourite, fresh local food and the chef is way above average with fish (never had any meat for lunch here). Service excellent as always, very busy place but never looks that busy.

We arrived unannounced around 20.30 at the hotel, just to try our luck and see if they had a room and so they did!. That day (boxing day) the restaurant was full and all parking spots seemed to be full, however the owner came out to show us the way to another spot after which the staff came to get the room ready as soon as possible. We had two little ones with us so the sooner the better and it all was done quickly and efficient. The room is spacious, you have a sitting area and the sleeping part, which is devided by a wall. All was clean, the bed was big and comfortable, the bathroom with jaccuzi was fine and allmost all that we wanted was there (I only missed a water cooker and they, instead we had only an espresso machine which I find handy too, but choice is better). We slept well, had no issues with the train that is not too far away and enjoyed the breakfast. A very nice stay close to roermond, If you go to the outlet or the old center and you want to have a nice stay and some peace this is the place to be... a Nice little castle with only 8 hotelrooms and a nice restaurant!. Really something to recommend in this part of the Netherlands.

Small 'castle' in a quiet park. Private parking on the premises. Very friendly staff. The rooms (in the ancient coach building) are luxurious, big and quiet and there's free wifi. We had a whirlpool in the bath. Good bedding! The restaurant serves very delicious food. We had the 5 course set menu. The starter (game paté) was rather simple, but everything that followed was perfect! Small but surprising wine list with lots of wines to discover at very reasonable prices. Breakfast is served at the table, with fresh juice and egg preparations to choose from.

Had a great lunch there last week, though business oriented I can imagine couples enjoying dinner here. Certainly one of the most beautiful places in Holland to enjoy a garden lunch or dinner. Service is excellent, hospitality with a capitol H.

Spend there one night, very large room, more modern suite style, fully equipped in beautiful surroundings a little outside Roermond. We had dinner in the evening, 4 course, with outstanding food and wine. Perfect breakfast the next morning, all in all an excellent price to quality ratio incl. friendly and helpful service.

Had the good luck to savour for a third time a gastronomic weekend at Kasteeltje Hattem, located outside the city of Roermond in a nice park. Again were greeted and shown the way to your room very friendly. Rooms were outstanding, in fact more suite than room. Lots of space, nice furniture, a superb comfortable bed, a roomy; modern and well equiped bath room with jacuzzi bath tub and "rituals brand" products. The 4 course gastronomic diner with matching wines was perfect. Nice dishes and very good wines. Perfect timing in between the courses. Good staff. Very quiet night. Breakfast served at your table with enough quantities and eggs prepared freshly on request. Really the top, cannot wait to return.
