Serenity Beach Cabanas

We spent a great 4 days here. We loved everything! Clean, spacious, comfortable room with verandah. Ali and Kapi were perfect hosts, no request was a problem. All the staff from dining, kitchen, cleaning, were super pleasant and accommodating. The 2 property dogs, Lily and 3 legged Serena were great company throughout the day! Fantastic breakfast every morning on the beachfront, and the in-house restaurant has a nice varied menu. Highly recommend a stay here.

Serenity Beach Cabanas is a beautiful place for a relaxing holiday. The surroundings are absolutely stunning, the staff are wonderful and incredibly welcoming and the food was the best we had in Sri Lanka. The fish curry and Sri Lankan breakfast a definite highlight. The owners Ali and Cappy go out of their way to make you feel part of the family. Cappy even took my glasses to an optometrist when the arm broke. It’s also in a fabulous location, bars and swimming pools to the left, town and fishing harbour to the right. We had a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend for a memorable beach getaway.

Mooie ruime kamers, eigen appartement, heerlijke douche. Mooi en ruim opgezet aan een mooi strand maar in de zee, konden we helaas in de periode (juli), niet zwemmen. We hebben heerlijk gegeten (ontbijt, lunch en diner geprobeerd) en werden goed verzorgd door de uitbaters en het personeel. De hondjes waren voor ons een lieve bonus!

Wij vonden de plek eromheen iets minder, maar de accommodatie was echt top.

Central but still quiet location, the manager and all the staff were very kind and we could use the bicycles for a nice ride along the beach

My wife and I just absolutely love this place. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful and it’s on a gorgeous beach. Mind you, we visited several beaches during our one week stay, but the one we loved the most, was just right out the door of our cabana. The staff was outstanding helping to plan several tours and transport. Breakfast was delicious. Sipping a Lion beer overlooking the ocean was awesome. Swimming in the warm Indian Ocean water in the morning was delightful. Plus, the fisherman‘s beach and large ship Harbor were not too far away, which made for wonderful photographs.

Whoever has the side of the bed closest to the wall, doesn’t have a lot of room getting out of the bed in the morning or during the night, as there was perhaps only a couple feet to maneuver in.

A great beach front hotel in a quiet location. Excellent, pleasant, helpful staff. Great food, especially the breakfast selection and coffee.

Difficult to access one side of the bed as very close to wall and window, appreciate there wasnt any other position for it, but worth noting if you have mobilty issues. Bathroom could do with a bit of an update.

Ein Traum direkt am Strand, mehr können wir dazu gar nicht schreiben. Unser Haus war super groß, es war sehr sauber, die tägliche Zimmerreinigung hat hervorragend funktioniert. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick, direkt vor dem Haus standen für uns immer zwei Liegen bereit. Wir könnten am Strand frühstücken und auch abends konnte man dort essen. Das Personal war absolut freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Wenn man meckern möchte, dann sei lediglich erwähnt, dass das WLAN nicht gut funktioniert hat.

Krásné bungalovy,, služby na úrovni 5* hotelu, úžasné snídaně. Vybavení stejné jako na fotografii, každý den úklid, lehátka u moře. Klidná lokalita. Velmi příjemný a laskavý personál.Tady nemůžete udělat chybu.

Prostředek proti komárům nutný při posezení venku. Ale to je téměř všude.

Die kleine Anlage liegt perfekt an einem wunderbaren, wenig frequentierten und sauberen Strand, die ‚Cabanas‘ (kleine Bungalows) sind gut ausgestattet, mit jeweils einer kleinen Terrasse und Sitzgelegenheit. Hervorzuheben ist vor allem das Top-Restaurant, mit gutem Frühstück (perfekter Kaffee!) und einer sehr guten Küche (Dinner). Wir haben bestens gespeist und würden die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen und gerne auch länger bleiben.

Die ‚Cabanas‘ haben einen etwas unpraktischen Grundriss. Ein Doppelbett passt in der Tiefe mit Mühe hinein, man kann kaum außen herumlaufen, um auf die andere Bettseite zu kommen, es fehlt ein Nachttisch und Ablagemöglichkeiten.

Die Lage ist perfekt! Kein Verkehrslärm, direkt am Strand! Unser Bungalow war riesig mit allem Komfort mit großer Terrasse. Das Frühstück war üppig, auf Wunsch auch direkt am Strand. Das Abendessen, ebenfalls am Strand, war sehr lecker. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen!

Well thought through accommodation with private individual Cabanas alongside a good quality restaurant serving food all day from breakfast to dinner. The poached eggs as part of the a la carte breakfast are worthy of special mention! Great location right next to the beach. Comfortable sunbeds set out under palm trees just a few paces from the lovely sandy beach and sea All the staff were really friendly and went over and above to help. We had a problem with our fridge and within minutes it had been replaced! The owners were on site all day and ensured all their guests were happy and had everything they needed. We would highly recommend staying here

Very nice place

Our family stayed here towards the end of our Sri Lanka trip and it was just so lovely to relax after our busy schedule. We stayed here for 5 nights and I could have happily stayed longer! It was great to be in such a lovely setting and for us the cabanas were the perfect place to stay. We were right on the beach so we could wake up and have a swim before breakfast. There are sunbeds to laze on in front of the cabanas. We loved all our meals here and breakfast was super - the eggs benedict were delicious and we were finally able to enjoy 'real' coffee!! The staff were friendly and helpful. We felt sad to leave!

Malheureusement l'hôtel ne fait pas tout, la qualité du personnel compte également. Nous avons été accueillis les bras ouverts par les employés de l'hôtel. Notre séjour a été agréable jusqu'au dernier jour, où l'on nous informe à 9h15 qu'il faut quitter la chambre pour 10h et qu'ensuite on nous dévisage, on se moque ouvertement de nous jusqu'à ce que nous quittions l'hôtel. Nous sommes restées 15 jours au Srilanka, jamais les hôtes n'ont été aussi irrespectueux que dans cet hôtel en fin de séjour. Au moment de charger les bagages, 6 membres du personnel sont restés nous regarder porter nos sacs et les amener dans la voiture sans proposer leur aide, du jamais vu. Sans parler de la gérante qui nous dévisage depuis son bureau quand nous sommes sur les transats...Bref la situation de l'hôtel est idéale au vu du prix je trouve ça scandaleux que le personnel se permette de se comporter ainsi. Nous avons été bien miens traités dans des hôtels qui valent un tiers du prix de cet hôtel. Cherchez ailleurs.

Very slight negative was barking dogs by our cabin one night but understand difficult to control!

Dieses kleine, wunderschön ruhig gelegene Bungalow Hotel ist ein absoluter Ort zum Entspannen. Die freistehenden Bungalows bieten sehr viel Privatsphäre und sind dennoch nur wenige Schritte vom weißen Sandstrand sowie vom hoteleigenen Restaurant entfernt. Die gesamte Anlage ist äußerst gepflegt, sehr sauber und liebevoll gestaltet. Das Essen war hervorragend. Der Koch ist großartig und es wurde jederzeit nachgefragt, ob es besondere Wünsche gibt. Auch auf Allergien wurde zuverlässig Rücksicht genommen. Einige Gerichte müssen vorbestellt werden, was zeigt, dass hier frisch gekocht wird und perfekt zum entspannten Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel passt. Besonders schön ist die Möglichkeit, direkt am Strand zu essen, mit den Füßen im Sand und Blick aufs Meer. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und das gesamte Personal ist herausragend. Alle waren jederzeit aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und herzlich und sind auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Man wird stets mit einem Lächeln empfangen und fühlt sich rundum willkommen

Views were amazing, food was fantastic, and the hospitality was unmatched. All our needs were taken care of. The owner even got up at 4am for our early departure and made us breakfast to go. Such a wonderful place.

The place serves its name well - very serene, beachside property with well equipped individual cabanas. The staff is amazing - always very helpful and nice. Big plus for me - they have italian espresso, which is a big plus for a breakfast in Sri Lanka.

We did find better lunch/dinner options but the food is still quite good

Lovely small hotel with excellent service from the owner and his wife. Very friendly we chatted almost every day. Upgraded our room and always had a smile and a hello. Location on river was amazing.

Heerlijke plek, serenity zegt het al. Rust, ontspannen, paradijselijk. Super lieve mensen, mijn zoon mocht de hengels lenen om in zee te gaan vissen. Leuk huisje. De hoekman en je het een straat met allerlei leuke eettentjes. Na ons verblijf gingen we naar mirissa, een wereld van verschil. Miste Serenity gelijk!

‘Beviel niet’ is een groot woord maar het is een beetje lastig om om het bed heen te lopen (vooral als je ‘s nachts naar de wc moet) en de koelkast miste het rek in de deur zodat er geen flessen in konden.

Het ontbijt was geweldig en super vriendelijke bediening. Eigenaar was ook heel behulpzaam ook toen we een extra nacht wilde boeken en met een iets latere uitcheck. Hij heeft ook een scooter voor ons geregeld. De Lokatie is top. Gewoon de straat uitlopen en je zit bij alle restaurantjes.

Perfect location right on the beach with easy access Tangalle. The staff were so friendly and everything was so relaxed. The Cabanas were lovely and very private. We were lucky to catch a Spanish Mackerel on a fishing trip and the chef made us an amazing dinner.

The cabana was set in neat and tidy gardens right on the beach front. The view from the sun beds was of the beautiful bay and fishermen at work. The breakfast was good. It was just a short walk from interesting places to eat and drink.

The furnishings of the cabana could be much better- no storage ( once you have stowed the heavy blanket and large extra cushions from the bed there no room for clothes in the wardrobe), nowhere to put things, no electrical outlets where you need them. It could be a hell of a lot cleaner. Overall I thought it was expensive for what we got, which is a shame because I was really looking forward to this stay.

Rauhallinen ja täydellinen sijainti meren äärellä. Ihana ja siisti majoitus ja aivan loistava henkilökunta. Mukava sänky, hyvät tyynyt, siistit ja puhtaat pyyhkeet… ihan kaikki enemmän kuin kohdillaan. Myös ruoka herkullista hotellin omassa ravintolassa. Täydellinen paikka rentoutumiseen. Koiraystävien paratiisi, sillä hotellilla on omistajan oma suloinen koira Sarona, ja alueella asustaa myös kuvassa näkyvä koira Dolly, joka on rokotettu mm. rabiesta vastaan ja äärimmäisen kiltti ja herttainen. Rakastaa rapsutuksia ja huolenpitoa.

Ei ollut mitään mistä emme olisi pitäneet. Kaikki oli täydellistä.

Serene stay as the name suggests, if we booked again we would have stayed longer. Direct beach access and fall asleep to the sound of the waves in a comfortable clean private room. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Location is great, nearby the town and plenty of restaurants/shops.

The food in the restaurant was not really authentic, I guess they adapt it for tourists, but for me it wasn‘t matching and the prices are very high. The breakfast by the way was good.

Mit Abstand die beste und schönste Unterkunft auf unserer Sri Lanka-Reise! Die Lage direkt am ruhigen und wunderschönen Strand ist nicht zu übertreffen. Die Küche der absolute Hammer!

Lage, Ausstattung, Größe der Bungalow 's, tolles Bad. Die Liegen auf dem Strand zur freien Nutzung waren wirklich super. Das Personal hat den Eindruck vermittelt, nur für uns da zu sein. Ein wirklicher Traum in einer traumhaft schönen Umgebung. Das Restaurant und die Qualität der Speisen, insbesondere des Frühstück 's, haben den sehr positiven Eindruck des gesamten Hotels ( Beach - Club ) optimal ergänzt.

Serenity by name & Serenity by Nature!!! The place was immaculate inside & out - the sand & beach was even swept. The Cabana was beautiful, big, very clean & just a stone throws away from the sea. You could swim right outside off your beach bed & order a delicious Cocktail. The staff & breakfast was outstanding & the 3 legged hotels dog just topped off an amazing stay.

Beautiful living in separate small houses right on the beach. Accommodation clean, well equipped and comfortable. The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. Excellent breakfast and other dishes we tasted. A few meters to shopping opportunities and other restaurants.

One of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka. Beautiful beachfront setting with calm beach for swimming, lovely staff, comfortable spacious rooms and the little extras like hammocks, sunbeds, board games and tasty dinner. It was a short walk to town and the fishing harbour.

Tolle Lage direkt am Strand. Man kann vom Frühstück direkt ins Wasser stolpern. Super zum Baden!!! Wir waren mit unseren drei Söhnen (8, 10, 14) hier und haben sie fast nicht aus dem Wasser bekommen. Sie waren mit wenigen Unterbrüchen gute 7 Stunden im Wasser! Der Strand ist übrigens sehr sauber. Zum Zeitpunkt war das Wasser wellig, was den Kiddys super gefallen hat. Die Unterkünfte sind gepflegt und sauber und werden jeden Tag auf Vordermann gebracht. Sigi hat uns spitzenmässig bedient. Die Küche ist sensationell! Uns hat es das Avocadotoast vor allem angetan.

Just a step away for the biggest beach is the Cabana that is wonderful. The staff amazing - the breakfasts were huge and tasty - the restaurant was superb and we ate there everyday. Everything we could need was provided - 4 days of bliss and total rest form traveling

Perfect location for Tangalle, although Tangalle itself was quiet (when we visited in Sept ‘25).

My companion and I loved our stay at Serenity Beach Cabanas. We were extremely well looked after by the owner Kapi and his friendly and capable team. Our cabana was well appointed and comfortable, and we enjoyed swimming on the beach right in front of the resort and relaxing on the loungers under the shade of coconut palms. The highlight of our stay though was the food. We have been treated to many delicious meals during our travels around Sri Lanka, but the food here was truly exceptional, from the top-class presentation to the exquisite flavors. The cold beers and selection of tasty wines were also much enjoyed. We highly recommend this property.

Tolle Lage direkt am Strand. Trotz Wellen konnte man gut ins Meer. Ausflüge zu Felsentempel oder Hirikitea, Silent Beach etc. einfach möglich. Toller Sonnenaufgang. Freundliches Personal, gutes Essen, gute Cocktails. Alle Bungalows mit Meerblick, sauber, gute Matratzen. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Grande gentillesse et accueil des hôtes. L’hôtel est en bout de plage, au calme, tout en étant tout proche du centre ville de Tangalle. L'établissement n'a rien à envier aux autres structures de l'autre bout de la plage. Il y a beaucoup moins de chambres et les hôtes sont toujours là pour être aux petits soins.

Wir sind sehr begeistert! In unserer Sri Lanka Rundreise mit Abstand das beste Hotel in dem wir waren! Wir genossen die 5 Tage fast das ganze Menü, dass angeboten wurde, das Essen war großartig!! Das Personal so überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend! Der Chef kümmert sich sehr gut um seine Gäste und beantwortet jede Frage die gestellt wird! Das Ambiente und die Lage des Hotels ist unbeschreiblich.. keine 10m vom Zimmer der wundervolle Strand.. eigene Liegen.. Getränkeservice bis zur Strandliege.. alles tip top! Vielen dank für diese unbeschwerten letzten Tage unseres Urlaubs!!

Ubytování je ještě hezčí než na fotkách a pláž poránu naproti hotelu vám až vyrazí dech. Všechny služby byly perfektní a měli jsme zde nejlepší jídlo z našeho pobytu na sri lance. Mohu jen doporučit.
