The place is amazing and the staff super friendly trying to help all the time.
Could be a little bit far from the city center, but is easy rent a car or get a taxi.
Volveremos a ir .
The staff were exceptional. They meet you at the Airport and constantly monitor the What’s App so you can ask for help including Taxis wherever you are on the Island. Very helpful and friendly. Great views from the room which was large and well equipped
Nothing. I would use this hotel again in a heartbeat
An amazing hotel on Easter Island! The staff are incredibly helpful and speak fluent English. There is always coffee and water available in the common areas, and the Wi-Fi was very good. Our room was very new, spacious, and beautifully decorated, and the breakfast was delicious every morning. The location isn't right in town, which comes with pros and cons: while the setting is very quiet and peaceful, the walk into town (where the shops and restaurants are) takes about 40 minutes. However, the receptionists were always happy to order taxis for us, which cost around $7 USD. One time, when all the local taxis were busy, the receptionist even drove us into town herself!
I loved the whole experience from beginning to end. We were greeted at the airport with flower's necklaces before taking us to the hotel. Hotel facilities are beautiful, the arquitecture, the outstanding front and backyards are stunning. Landscapers do a really good job. You can enjoy these stunning views from the room, restaurant ans swimming pool. Also you can enjoy the sunset from the pool. The room is spacious, clean, well organized and nice. The staff work really hard to make you feel comfortable and help you enjoy your stay and the island. They are really close and warm. The hotel offers private tours. Christian, the guide, was extremely experience and knowledgeable. His background is unbelivable, which he take advantage to explain with deep details and to answer your questions. The hotel also offers you the car rental service which makes it really easy for us to explore on our own during those days without tour. We had a blast!
That we can't stay longer
Staff were great. Comfortable and safe
Not much to do in the immediate area
Personal amable y excelente desayuno.
woke up with no water in the morning, but it was fixed very quickly and staff was excellent
Wonderful staff, so kind and helpful. Our room had full length windows from two sides with beautiful views to garden and pool. A very relaxing stay.
Pretty expensive, however, to be fair, there are much more expensive places in Rapa Nui and here you get the quality you wish for. Laundry was super expensive - we washed clothes of previous week and it cost 120 USD (!)
Iorana! Everything was more than expected. The hotel is new, extremely clean and many amenities. Lovely garden with all local trees and flowers, even chicken and rooster :). Big pool with barbeque area for parties. Can't praise enough the personnel, Daniela, Valentina and all others. Even before arrival they gave very important information about local regulations like permits to visit national parks. Arranged tour with a local guide very well informed on island's history and perfect English. They could manage to arrange a last-minute reservation to a restaurant with performance. The hotel is not in city center, but they arranged a taxi every time we need, with helpful driver take us to and pick up us from city center.
- Very lovely staff, especially Valentina was great and so kind! - lovely breakfasts every morning - quiet area - fantastic room standard and size, very spacious - room was air conditioned which was great - could see a bit of ocean from the balcony
- Bit far from city centre - Pool was a bit untidy and could do with a more frequent clean up
The staff, especially Valentina, we're great. Super friendly and helpful. The property is clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had very good air conditioning. The breakfast each morning was nice. The chef took the opportunity to understand and deliver on our requests.
For some reason, the shampoo and soap dispensers in our bathroom were only refilled after we asked. This could be expected once, not several times.
Outstanding boutique hotel. Relatively new and very clean and well decorated. Staff could not be better. It is not in town but only a short taxi ride to get there.

The name Ohana truly says it all. From the very first moment, you are treated like family. We were warmly welcomed at the airport with flower leis and transferred to the hotel, where our pre-booked scooter was already waiting for us. Everything was perfectly organized by the hotel, including a 10% discount on the scooter rental, which was a lovely bonus. The check-in experience was unforgettable. Camila at reception is truly the heart of the hotel. She took her time to welcome us, introduced the island and all key points of interest on a map, listened carefully to our needs, and made us feel instantly at home. She even recommended a fantastic tattoo artist in Hanga Roa. This level of personal care is rare and deeply appreciated. The hotel is beautifully run with a calm, refined atmosphere. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The entire property is stunning, featuring a gorgeous pool, beautiful furniture, traditional carvings, and a well-stocked minibar. Breakfast was excellent: fresh, high quality, not overwhelming in size, with freshly prepared egg dishes and great juices. Staying here truly feels like being treated in paradise.

Great place and staff. Just a little far from the town so some hire bikes would be good.
swimming pool is great!
I wish they had a shuttle service between hotel and Downtown. It was very hard to catch a taxi for us every time.
Magnífico desayuno Excelente trato del personal
Muy bueno el desayuno.
Le falta una mejor aislación. Y que den almuerzo. No dan almuerzo
Maururu!!
Nada, que comentar
Very comfortable hotel, Camila was a very nice host. Breakfast was simple but nice. The room was spacious.
It’s a bit of a walk from the main town, but they have a few taxi drivers that you can WhatsApp to arrange transfer.
Tutto perfetto, nuovo, pulito e confortevole
Breakfast was like an advanced Ibis, you could order your eggs but no special coffees like cappuccino. They offer one meal in the evening but I have allergies so we couldn’t eat it. The hotel is next to a diy warehouse and a car repair place with lots of welding, hammering. Also the neighbours had dogs that would bark a lot in the middle of the night. The terrace is nice but you won’t be able to use it during the day because of the noise next door. Staff was friendly. The only downside with the staff was that we had to argue the time to go to the airport. You do not need 3hr before your flight. So we agreed with them to go at 12.30 and they told other guests at 12.00 so what they did was leave in between. Please note that you have to lift your own suitcase in and out the car. You can walk into town but it is nice a nice walk. We did it every day. Perhaps if the surroundings were as quiet as it looked on the pictures it would have been good.

Clean. Excellent breakfast Helpful friendly staff Excellent house made pizza All day tea and coffee self serve is great
The pool and hot tub weren’t clean of leaves etc There is no lunch option
My husband and I had an opportunity to stay at Hotel Ohana during our vacation in November. It met our expectation and it absolutely deserves Tripadvisor's number 1 ranking. First, staffs were very polite and friendly. They made us feel very welcomed, and accommodated us from last minute restaurant reservations and arranging a rental car. We stayed in room #9, and it was much more spacious and modern than it appears on the photos. It was very clean and we felt very comfortable with nice ice cold air conditioning. Breakfast was great, and the tuna steak I ate for lunch was so delicious. My husband arranged a full day and a half day tour through the hotel prior to the visit. It went without a hitch, and our tour guide Annette was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and treated us with good mixture of friendliness and professionalism. I would highly recommend requesting her service upon booking the tours. Hotel is small with only 9 rooms, so it retains the remote island feel. It's never crowded at any point. If we wanted to stay at the bigger luxury resorts, we'd probably went to Hawaii instead. I would say that I made a right decision to book Hotel Ohana.
Localização, tudo novinho e funcionando, café da manhã e jantar deliciosos, e pessoal mega gentil!
Friendly staff, great breakfast. Very clean. We even got a departure gift.
Nothing to complain about, but the hotel could benefit from offering meals (or at least snacks) outside of breakfast. Probably difficult with the limited staff.
Small boutique hotel situated in inviting ground with beautiful construction and facility and nice staff
Amazing friendly staff. Always there if you need anything. Rooms were very clean! Breakfast was great, as wel lunch. Very recommended!
Nothing!

L'hotel è favoloso, pulito e ben tenuto.

The hotel and its grounds were very nice. It offered a lot of value compared to other options on the island. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help provide recommendations and assist with transportation needs. The hotel is set away from the main town of Hanga Roa which we preferred, but does mean that it requires a taxi or vehicle to go to and from town. So long as you understand this, the hotel should meet or exceed all of your expectations.
Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay.
Instal.lacions, habitació amplia, nova i neta. Jardins ben cuidats i molt bonics. Personal molt molt amable, atent i servicial.
I was a little apprehensive when booking the hotel for a group of 11-people. However, Hotel Ohana was amazing. They were thoughtful considerate of our group give we had adults, kids, and even a baby. The property is amazing...clean, well maintained, and great design. The food offered on-site was more than adequate and kept us charged up for our adventure. The staff was extremely pleasant and gave a very family like welcome. I would highly recommend this property and would also visit again based on our interaction with the Ohana owner, manager, and staff. Note: The property is a 30-40 minute walk from the downtown area. Not a deal breaker but if you have little kids or baby it can make for a longer process to get in the middle of the action.
The Ohana is a gorgeous boutique hotel with only 8 rooms. It is situated around a really beautiful pool area with loungers and very well planted and immaculately maintained gardens. Pablo mentioned that they have their own mango trees, not in season when we were there. We were picked up at the airport and greeted in the hotel with some fresh mango juice. The rooms are spacious and over look the pool and garden area. They have a large walk in shower and everything is spotless, modern and operational. There is a functional air conditioning unit. However the hairdryer was like a child’s toy, so if you need a bit of serious drying/styling bring your own. The bed linen was a soft, crisp cotton with duvet if required. Breakfast is buffet style with your choice of eggs cooked to order. They served delicious fresh pineapple juice o local “wild” cherry, a new one on me. I had to try it of course. Other offerings included cold meats, cheese, fresh pineapple and orange. As well as home made cakes, viennoiserie and toast with lots of local fruit jams and spreads. Coffee was in a hot flask with tea available. The addition of a “Nespresso” style machine would really make a big difference if you are a coffee lover. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and are always so kind and helpful. On our first day we couldn’t get a taxi to take us to the waterfront so Pablo very kindly gave us a ride. There are 2 banks in Hanga Roa always handy to have cash for taxis or if the local internet connection goes down you can’t use credit cards (this can be for 4 or 5 hours at a time) and very common. The only drawback for the hotel is its location, a good 30 to 40 minute walk from the water front and associated restaurants. We a time times struggled to get a taxi (What’s App down) or simply no drivers available. The owner of the restaurant on the sunset beach very kindly had to give us a lift back after a meal. To improve service for guests a staff member/driver would really make a positive impact for guests as there was no evening meal service. Overall a beautiful hotel and great staff, but do think about taxis/walk when you go out in the evening.
The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. The staff are attentive and helpful. The rooms each have a nice outlook into the gardens and a nice balcony on which you can sit and relax.
The location is on the periphery of town and is a lengthy walk if you don’t get a taxi to or from town you need to be in reasonably good shape (40 mins approx. especially uphill on the way back). This being said, the daily tours organised via the hotel were picked up and dropped off at the hotel itself so the location is only a minor downside of what is overall a very good hotel.
This property was outstanding in every way. After spending three days on the island - I can say we did not have a single regret - I hope we are lucky enough to return some day. (Family of 4 using two rooms)
No issues to report at all - rooms, staff, food, location, everything was top notch. Ohana is on par with some of our favorite hotels we have ever stayed in.
Great little find. Walking distance to the town but not in the town, so peace and quiet is plentiful. Great location for all trips. Staff went above and beyond from arrival to our leaving. We stayed six days but it was never enough Only having nine rooms you receive truly personal service , nothing is too much trouble. Food is fresh and flavoursome. Lovely pool area to relax after your days out. If and when we return it will definitely be a revisit.
I totally agree with the other reviews. This 9 room boutique hotel has a nice building, beautiful and clean rooms with tv and airconditioning, well equiped bathroom with powerful shower, comfortable bed, balcony that overlooks the garden, pool and jacuzzi with sun beds and umbrellas, very tasteful breakfast with variety of choices, good working wifi. And then the staff: all the members are willing to do this little extra for the guests. Very attentive and personalized. And one member in particular: Andrea, thank you for making my stay extra special. Is there something negative to say: the location is close to the airport (but you don’t have any discomfort of this) but it also means it is quite a bit outside the centre of the village. You could walk it (30-45minutes) but the staff is more than happy to arrange a (very good) taxi for you, that takes you there within 10 minutes for like $5-6. Should I ever return to Easter Island, this would be the place where I would stay again!
The island is a very relaxed and informal place and a for us a great place to chill after a hectic trip around South America. The hotel typifies this vibe with super friendly staff who can't do enough. The food is really simple, fresh and delicious The rooms are largely and roomy - partially on the top floor. Will organise car hire or even better electric bikes to see the island - highly recommend Will be recommending to our friends
As soon as we land in Easter Island, the owner of the hotel picked us up and greeted us with lei’s which was a nice welcome. The property is beautiful with lush garden. Hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating with our needs. breakfast was good. If you need to rent a car they offer that as well for a cheaper price compared to the prices in the main town. Overall I give this hotel a 10/10
Extremely fast wifi / internet (capable of video conferencing), very good breakfast selection (eggs made to order, fresh fruit, sausage/bacon, selection of breads and pastries), very friendly employees. The property itself is more secluded than most other hotels and is very peaceful (there are some wild chickens nearby but they just run away from you). The rooms are spacious and have individually controlled AC.
While Rapa Nui is undoubtedly a beautiful and unique destination, my stay at this hotel fell short of expectations — especially considering the high price point for five nights. Despite a kind gestures from the staff, such as offering me dinner after reporting issues, the overall experience does not justify the cost. One major issue is the misleading information on Booking.com, where the hotel is listed as offering lunch and dinner at an additional cost. In reality, these meals are only occasionally available. I mentioned this discrepancy to the front desk staff, who acknowledged it and kindly promised to correct the listing — but it should never have been inaccurate in the first place. I was invited to dinner one evening — and while it was of excellent quality, this doesn’t compensate for the structural shortcomings. Both rooms I stayed in had malfunctioning air conditioning units, poorly installed and extremely noisy. I didn’t request a room change — it was offered — but the second unit had the same issues. A fan was eventually provided after I asked, but it should have been offered proactively. Soundproofing is a serious problem. From my ground floor room, I could hear every footstep and piece of furniture being moved in the room above. Additionally, the hotel is located near a road, and while it’s quieter at night, you can hear passing cars during the day — something to consider if you’re sensitive to noise. That said, breakfast was a true highlight. Everything is homemade, from the bread to the pastries, and the eggs were fresh and well prepared. The coffee could be improved, but overall, breakfast was excellent. The dinner I was offered was also of high quality, which only makes it more disappointing that meals are not offered more consistently. The hotel is isolated, with no nearby shops or restaurants. Airport transfer is included, but I was initially told I would be dropped off three hours before my flight — which is unnecessary for such a small airport. The reason, it turns out, was to consolidate guest transport and avoid multiple trips. While construction on Rapa Nui can be challenging due to limited access to materials, this does not justify the poor construction quality of the hotel — particularly the lack of insulation and basic architectural care. One bright spot in my experience was the kindness of the front desk staff. They were consistently friendly, responsive, and eager to help. Unfortunately, they are left trying to compensate — with great effort — for the structural deficiencies of the property. In short, while the food and some elements of service stand out, the overall experience does not offer good value for money. For a hotel in this price range, guests should be able to expect comfort, reliability, and attention to detail — not just nice touches here and there.
We received excellent service during our Rapa Nui tour, which included wonderful lunches and dinners made from local ingredients. The arrangements for our local tours were very responsive, and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable. The room we stayed in was spacious, quiet, and offered a beautiful view of the garden and the ocean. Additionally, the bedding was exceptionally comfortable.
Not that I can truly compare because this was my first trip to Easter Island and I have not stayed anywhere else. But I can say that if you book your stay here, you will not be disappointed. We were welcomed with a welcome drink and a smile. The hotel looks brand new. Our room was large and comfortable with a private deck overlooking the pool. But the best part of the stay was the service. We used a bucket or two of ice each night and Alejandra always provided it with a smile. She booked our cab rides for us and made fresh water for us as well. We can not say enough about the hospitality. There were a few minor issues like no Kleenex provided and there isn't a shelf in the shower stall to place your personal items. Be warned that the hotel is not in the village of Hanga Roa necessitating a $5 taxi ride one way to get to town (or a 50 minute walk). If we ever come back to Rapa Nui, this is definitely the place we will stay. Like I said,a better place in
The room was large enough to be an apartment. It was the largest and best designed hotel room I have ever stayed in, and I have been to over 100 countries.
Nothing to dislike.
There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. Firstly, the staff is beyond amazing! From the moment they welcomed us at arrival until our departure, they treated us like family. They showed no hesitation in striving to exceed expectations. Very attentive and friendly. The rooms were spotless and spacious (one of the largest and cleanest bathrooms). The air conditioner works very well! The grounds were manicured and well taken care of (fruit was growing on trees all around ready to be picked - which we did!). The breakfast was consistently good and filling. Also, the location was quite peaceful. No sounds of barking dogs to keep you up.
