Je komt echt op een lokale plek terecht waar de Maleise familie dit resort beheert. Ze maken tijd en ruimte voor een praatje en veel gastvrijheid. Ze doen alles om het je naar de zin te maken. Het ligt ook erg gunstig tov het vliegveld van Kota Bahru

Amazing and very kind hosts, beautiful and special place and environment. I would have loved to stay at least two nights. Very great deal, nice pool and it is like a small oasis.

Gyönyörű villa, csodás medencével. A tulajdonosok igazán kedvesek és segítőkészek, nagyon jó tippeket kaptunk az utunkkal kapcsolatban. A szoba nagy és tiszta volt, pihentető 2 éjszakát töltöttünk itt a továbbutazásunk előtt.

So peaceful and relaxing. The garden is beautiful. Watching birds and squirrels in the trees was wondeful. Hosts are friendly and welcoming

Absolutely loved this place! It’s definitely worth the price. The room came with a private bathroom—both were spacious and very clean. We also enjoyed using the swimming pool at night. We really appreciated the warm welcome from the lady when we arrived and the great service until we checked out the next day. Highly recommended!

Captains Cabin ni memang superb. 5star hotel dalam kampung. Host sangat baik. Will repeat stay kat sini.

Dp de una mala experiencia llegué decepcionada a este paraíso y me mimaron con la Captain's Suite. Con mi terraza al jardín exótico y vista a la piscina. Los dueños, Mummy y el captain mismo son un encanto y muy majos los dos. Me llevaron la primera noche a un restaurante donde cené muy bien con ellos. El captain me preparó cada mañana un desayuno abundante incluso tortilla española. Y a mediodía algo ligero pq estaba un poco enfermo.

Está un poco lejos del pueblo en medio de la jungla pero todo se puede arreglar o con grab o andando si estás bien en eso. Pero para mí era genial para chill down.

Suasana tenang...terletak di dalam kwsn kmpung.. Bilik sangat bersih dan wangi... Pelbagai kemudahan disediakan untuk tetamu. Owner sangat baik dan peramah. Kebetulan rezeki kami menginap jatuh pada hari lahir owner. Owner ajak join celebrate birthday... semoga dilimpahkan rezeki buat owner sekeluarga.. highly recommend... ada rezeki, panjang umur, kita jumpa lagi.

Very clean and friendly resort. The room was big enuf with full air conditioning. The toilet was nice decorated and the water was crystal clear.

Ik fiets van Singapore naar Amsterdam. Kota Bahru zou de laatste stop voor Thailand worden en ik wilde iets meer luxe om even uit te rusten. Toen ik aankwam was ik uitgeput en stonk als een Durian vrucht. Ik verlangde naar een douche en een schoon bed. De kapitein en zijn vrouw zagen dat en gaven mij hun beste kamer. Op de begane grond, met een eigen terras en directe toegang tot het zwembad. En bovenal smetteloos schoon en koel. De dagen die ik hier doorbracht waren de beste van mijn tijd in Maleisie. Ik werd opgenomen in het gezin en kon bij elke maaltijd aanschuiven. Het hotel ligt in een typisch Maleisische kampong. De mensen zijn niet rijk, maar zonder uitzondering vriendelijk en geinteresseerd. Het is hier rustig. Geen lawaai van verkeer, alleen het gezang van vogels en krekels. En een aantal keren per dag in de verte de oproep tot gebed. Als er 1 plaats in Maleisie is waar ik ooit nog eens naar zou terugkeren is het wel Captain's Cabin Resort. Misschien dat ik hier ooit een paar maanden in retraite ga om eindelijk eens mijn boek af te schrijven. Ik ben in honderden hotels te gast geweest. In Maleisie en over de hele wereld. Qua ervaring staat Captain's Cabin Lodge op een terechte eerste plaats.

Me and Josh absolutely adored this place! It absolutely exceeded our expectations. The house was so stunning, and interesting to look around. We felt very taken care of by the family here and even had dinner together with the Captain and his lovely wife. What a wonderful family! Thank you so much for hosting us! We wanted to stay longer, what a lovely hidden gem this place was, we will be back! The attention to detail was so apparent & the place is exceptional. 5*

Bed and breakfast calme, propre et très confortable. L'hôte est très amical et aux petits soins. Piscine agréable. Petit déjeuner cuisiné spécialement pour vous. Bon emplacement.

Hartelijke eigenaren waarbij service voorop staat. We kwamen laat aan maar de eigenaar bleef wachten op onze komst. We hadden geen ontbijt geboekt maar wilden dit graag. We waren de enige gasten voor een ontbijt. Vroeg in de ochtend stond er veel lekkere dingen klaar. De eigenaar is laat in de avond en vroeg in de ochtend nog bezig geweest om dit te verzorgen. Het gebouw ademt sfeer uit en verwijst naar het verleden van de eigenaar. Goede bedden en ruime kamer.

Na het douchen blijft het water op de vloer staan. Een trekker was handig geweest.

Hicimos una noche porque al dia siguiente volabamos temprano. Cerca del aeropuerto aunque un poco apartado del centro. En Grab a 10 minutos. El capitán es un tio encantador que te recibe de maravilla y te hace sentir como en casa. El hotel está muy bien, limpio, piscina etc. Dormimos en una suite y de maravilla. Gracias Capitan.

Séjour inoubliable dans un lieu exceptionnel, au cœur de la nature. La maison est splendide, la piscine superbe. Un vrai havre de paix pour se ressourcer. Merci aux hôtes pour leur accueil attentionné et leur hospitalité !

Wat een gastvrijheid. Warme eigenaren die het leuk vinden om in contact te komen. We kregen een andere/ grotere kamer met tussendeur. Schone en ruime kamers. Het ligt ontzettend rustig en in de natuur. Wij hebben heerlijk gegeten, dat hadden we vooraf gevraagd. Ook de taxi voor onze ritjes hebben ze geregeld en was heel prettig. Het zwembad is een leuke bijkomstigheid.

Unser Aufenthalt hat uns super gefallen! Leider nur 1 Nacht; hätten wir gewusst wie gastfreundlich die Inhaber sind und wie schön ruhig das Hotel lieht wären wir länger geblieben! Ideal um zwischen einer langen Malaysia Reise neue Kraft zu tanken! Frühstück wurde von der Gastgeberin am frühen Morgen frisch zubereitet und hat sehr gut geschmeckt!

Lovely host! If you're looking for accommodation in this area you have to book here. It's a quiet place and the staff knows how to comfort their guests.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel, set in a beautiful and peaceful location. The surroundings are incredibly calming, and the lovely pool was the perfect place to relax. The warm and welcoming family made us feel right at home. The eldest daughter is a truly talented cook – she prepared a delicious meal for us that we won’t soon forget. The lady of the house takes care of everything with genuine kindness and attention to detail, making sure you have everything you need. And the man of the house – the captain – entertained us with one captivating story after another. This is one of those rare places you find yourself dreaming of returning to. Highly recommended!

What a charming place. We were warmly greeted as family and shown to a huge,  spotless and magnificent room. Our host’s son in law is the chef who prepared a flawless Char koey tiaw, the essential local dish of noodles fresh bean sprouts and prawns, for our dinner, along with a delicious Lai  chi kang, a fruity drink we’ve never sampled before, home made by our hostess.  Our hosts took us out to a local Chinese breakfast place to eat like a local and everyone could not have been more congenial!  There’s a lovely pool also. The place is a bit isolated outside of town, which makes it a quiet respite from the hubbub of Kota Baru. We had the best sleep of our trip here!

The Captain’s Cabin was the perfect place for us to relax and unwind after two long days travelling the East Coast Railway. Luxurious accommodation, beautiful house and gardens, great company and conversation, and delicious home cooking. The Captain and Mami are excellent hosts.

We recently spent 3 days and 2 nights at this wonderful place and were thoroughly impressed. The hosts, Captain and Mami, are an incredibly kind and welcoming couple who made our stay truly memorable. We stayed in the Navigator’s Suite and No.1’s Suite, both of which were impeccably designed with en suite bathrooms, king-sized beds, TVs, and all the amenities you would expect from a high-end hotel. What really set this experience apart were Captain and Mami’s warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like old friends, and we had some lovely conversations with them throughout our stay. Their genuine care for their guests made the experience all the more special. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The rooms were comfortable, the setting was beautiful, and the hosts made it feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy, personal touch on their getaway!

It is a large mansion or bungalow with multiple rooms inside. The owner is friendly The cleanliness, perfect. Good parking space. The theme is sailing, good decoration, room is big. Got a balcony, but mine, the view is grass and kebun, not the pool view. The decoration outside looks like kampung2, with flower etc, good for those from urban area or from beach side. But if u are from village yourself, it might not offer difference to you.

The room is connected to the other room through a connecting door. Thus, it is not sound proof. The pool is not suitable for toddlers since it is deep. Need to monitor and hold on toddlers all the time. The grass is not mowed, it seems to be a bit long.

I was actually driving by month end blues to make the last minute booking at Captain’s Cabin Resort for an escape. I was surprised by the great host when I arrived at the resort on Friday evening; The Premises are very clean with the cosy bedroom comes with Netflix. I can actually viewed the green and peaceful surroundings together with the swimming pool from the balcony of my bedroom..
