We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Boden Lodge. It was clean, peaceful, and very comfortable accommodations within walking distance to Malahide village and castle. The lodge was fully equipped and you could tell that a lot of care and thought has been taken to make sure that guests have a great experience!

Its location … we’d booked to attend a concert at Malahide Castle which is literally a 10 minute walk away, so the location was perfect for us.

If I had to put forward any suggestions, and this is being quite picky, a pint of complimentary milk would’ve been great so that we could’ve had a cup of tea on arrival. But to be honest, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property.

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gut gelegen und sehr sauber. Es besticht durch seine Lage direkt am Schlosspark von Malahide und die Nähe zum Bahnhof nach Dublin. Das Ferienhaus ist zwar sehr klein aber dafür sehr gemütlich. Parken kann man direkt vor dem Haus.

Spiral staircase a challenge for reduced mobility person like me.

The location was lovely, on the outskirts of Dublin, within walking distance of Malahide Castle, and with an expansive park and village nearby.

.This was not the fault of the property owner. We were unfamiliar with using GPS coordinates (our navigation system wasn't working properly, anyway) and our international cell coverage hadn't kicked in yet so we drove around the town for 2 hours before a Good Samaritan came to our rescue and called the owner for us. The low sign on the wall with an arrow to Bodenlodge was angled in such a way as to not be visible coming from the castle direction. In the other direction, where we might expect a street sign on a post, there was just a nursing home name. We were just unfamiliar and unprepared.

15 min walk into Malahide, very well equipped dwelling, everything you need in a nice little house. The only minor gripe was that the TV was very glitchy but could stream Netflix to it.

There was a very strong smell of mould/damp - this got a little better when the heating was on and the bed also felt damp. The heating only seemed to come on for a short period in the morning and evening but we were able to override this. Sadly, we found the accommodation to be extremely dusty - it felt like it was in dire need of a deep clean and the heating on for longer to warm the place up properly. Also.. we arrived very late after a long flight delay. For the cost, it would be nice perhaps to put some milk in the fridge - even if long life sachets.

Peaceful location

Lovely setup, lots of useful info from the hosts, easy access from airport and into town, great location, situated on a lovely property with access to outdoors

No complaints, some would find the spiral staircase to bedroom difficult to maneuver but this was detailed in the description

Sehr schönes kleines Haus auf einem Privatgrundstück. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail mit allem, was man braucht, eingerichtet. Direkt am Park gelegen, Meer und Bahnstation alles gut fußläufig erreichbar. Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und haben unser Gepäck noch bis zu unserer späten Abreise aufbewahrt.

The property was very quiet and situated in a beautiful area. It was very comfortable and the owners were accessible by message if we needed them.

I didn’t particularly enjoy having to navigate the tight spiral staircase in the middle of the night to use the bathroom! But other than that, there was nothing we didn’t like.

The bed was very comfortable. The spiral staircase, fab feature, and once you got used to it, it was fine. The TV was not great. It was incredibly glitchy, the picture kept pixalating, plenty of books to read instead. Beautiful setting and so nice to wake up and hear all yhe nature surroundings.

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The outside sitting area is lite up at night making it so gorgeous and a very tempting area but unfortunately the weather wasn’t tempting enough.

Excellent location. Very close to Malahide by foot across the park. Very comfortable bed. Good kitchen as described. Easy parking.

Everything was grand. The weather was poor but we were comfortable. Easy access to the local town by foot. Handy for the port.

Beautiful location, near to Malahide. Lovely self contained little cottage in the grounds of the owners home. Had everything needed. Plenty of clean towels and really comfortable bed.

The stairs were a little scary to begin with but once you learn to navigate them you're fine! But we were fully aware of them when booking and they were no problem for us but obviously unsuitable for some.

Great location and very quiet! Nice private setting. An easy drive or a reasonably short walk to Malahide and public transport to Dublin.

If you have any mobility issues this place is not for you are the bedroom is accessed by a spiral staircase which is 'tight' and not the easiest to navigate late at night when accessing the bathroom [which is on the ground floor].

Comfortable,well equipped. Downstairs has a living/ Kitchen area plus bathroom. Upstairs is a bedroom. Very good location close to Malahide Castle/ park and a 25 minute walk to town centre and Dart.

Not fond of spiral staircases, although this one had a sensor light that went on as soon as anyone went towArds it so that helped immensely .

Location was superb for a stay that was quiet and peaceful Walk through the park near the castle in to Malahide village was easy Near the Dart, excellent cafes etc in the village

The only thing I would have liked to have had was a small bottle or jug of milk to make a drink when we arrived
