Blue Lizard House

Ein wunderbarer Ort, um abzuschalten. Rundherum hat es Pflanzen und Tiere. Nachts ist es ruhig und die Klimaanlage sorgt dafür, dass man auch trotz heisser Temperaturen gut schläft. Auf dem Gelände gibt es zwei liebe Hunde und zwei süsse Katzen, um die sich gut gekümmert wird. Wir haben auch Eidechsen und Kolibris gesehen. Wichtig: Es gibt kein heisses Wasser in der Dusche. Zwar wird das im Inserat erwähnt, allerdings übersieht man es leicht (das war bei uns der Fall). Einfach, damit ihr es wisst.

Das Hotel ist mit dem Auto etwa 30 Minuten vom Zentrum von San Andres entfernt. Am Abend ist es in der Nähe des Hotels nicht möglich, in einem der wenigen Restaurant zu essen, da alles geschlossen hat. Es gibt zwar eine Liste von Restaurants, die liefern, aber in der Realität war es so, dass sich alle bis auf eines, geweigert haben, in diese Region zu liefern. Wenn ihr also abends ankommt, solltet ihr vorher gegessen oder bereits ein Mietauto haben.

Todo! El sitio es un paraíso. La habitación es cómoda, bonita... E INMENSA. Está al sur de la isla, en una zona tranquila pero a la que se llega en moto en un plis plas. Liz te prepara unos desayunos riquísimos y completisimos. Además, te da todo tipo de tips para ir a comer y hacer actividades.

No hay agua caliente pero... Con la temperatura del lugar, tampoco es que haga mucha falta.

Lo mejor sin duda alguna los host y después el espacio. Se nota el esfuerzo en cada detalle y además súper cuidado y limpio. Las habitaciones son bastante amplias y cómodas, la piscina es perfecta para adultos y en general las plantas y calma del sector.

Lo único negativo es que los comercios (inclusive pequeñas tiendas) quedan un poco retirados y la mejor forma aunque no la única es moverse en vehículos tipo Mule.

La amabilidad, la habitación, las instalaciones, el jardín, la piscina, que pudimos alquilar un carrito en el hotel que estaba fenomenal.

Liz und Luis sind ein sehr freundliches Paar, sie haben mich gut unterstützt. Ich hatte eine Suite mit Terrasse, das Zimmer war sauber, groß und geräumig. Die Klimaanlage hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der schöne Garten und der Pool, den ich fast für mich alleine hatte (die Unterkunft hat nur 4 oder 5 Zimmer)! Ich bin jeden Tag im Pool schwimmen gewesen. Außerdem gibt es in der näheren Umgebung diese schönen blauen Echsen zu beobachten und auch größere andere Arten. Ich habe sie gerne fotografiert. Diese Unterkunft ist eine Oase der Ruhe, perfekt um runterzukommen. San Luis ist eine ruhigere Ecke auf der Insel, hier wohnen überwiegend Afroamerikaner. Wenn man mehr erleben und unternehmen möchte, muss man ein paar Kilometer ins Zentrum fahren. Ich habe mich zu jeder Zeit sicher gefühlt.

Das Bett war ziemlich hart, aber es war noch okay.

It was our second time in San Andres, so we already knew that we wanted to stay in the Southern part of the island, as this part of the island is so much quieter and Blue Lizard turned out to be an absolute gem. Obviously you need to rent a mule or a buggy to get around, but you'd probably rent that anyway, and it only takes about a 30-minute drive to the center. I can't recommend the place enough, it's sparkling clean and very well taken care of. There's a proper selections of freshly prepared breakfasts available and overall vibe is superb. While I initially booked just a place to sleep, then we ended up spending a few hours every day at the pool, relaxing and having a proper vacation. The taxi to Blue Lizard is roughly 75k, so rather marginal, and you can book a mule directly from them after to get around. I would go back any time really, thank you Liz and Luis for taking well care of us.

Luis et liz sont des personnes tres accueillantes, et tellement gentilles, l endroit est tres paisible idéal pour se reposer. Les chambres sont grandes et confortable, tout est tres propre. Et le petit déjeuner est délicieux C est un peu loin du centre ( environ 20min) il faut prendre un scooter ou un quad. Si nous devions revenir a San andrès c est ici que vous reviendrons

The stay was truly peaceful and thoughtfully designed, with great attention to detail throughout. The owners were exceptionally kind and service-oriented, always making you feel welcome and well taken care of. The breakfast was clearly prepared with passion and care, which made it even more enjoyable. The location is absolutely beautiful and everything was impeccably maintained. A wonderful experience overall.

It is impossible to describe how amazing this place is. The rooms (we saw each one) are huge, thoughtfully decorated and well equipped. Bed was very comfortable! The pool is huge and always clean. The area has a beautiful outlook with a view of sunset every night. The gardens are gorgeous. Photos just don't do this place justice.. it is so much more. Scooter and mule hire was super easy. The location is amongst the most beautiful sites on the island, and there is a public bus that runs til 7pm (in front of accomodation), if you don't want to rent a vehicle. Best stocked mini bar. Breakfast was always super tasty and generous. But what makes this place the best accommodation we have ever stayed at are the hosts, Liz and Luis. They offer local and thoughtful tips, and a warmth that makes you feel like family. They are genuine and know how to do hospitality INCREDIBLY WELL.

Si busca tranquilidad, frescura y atardeceres es el sitio, lejos de la bulla, con piscina para relajarse, alquile una cicla por un dia y conocí más de media isla, me sirvió para relajarme y sentirme en descanso.

Es bueno tener un repelente para las 6-6:30pm, pero solo es un rato, después disminuyen. Es al otro extremo de la isla, se recomienda preveer la alimentación, se camina un poco para llegar a playa charquitos, para otras playas o ir al centro se dispone de transporte público u otros medios de transporte que igualmente alquilan en el sitio.

Ik vond dit echt een fantastische accommodatie! Het is veel mooier dan op de foto's. Toen ik boekte stonden er nog oude foto's op, waarop het wat kaal lijkt, maar dat is het niet! Het hotel en zwembad liggen in een weelderige tuin. De eigenaars zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en doen er alles aan om het je naar de zin te maken. Het zwembad is heerlijk. Er zijn ligbedjes en het is er heel rustig. De kamer was supergroot met eigen terrasje. Het bed is ontzettend comfortabel en groot en de douche is goed. Echt een aanrader als je de rust op het drukke San Andrés wilt opzoeken.

Ik boekte deze accommodatie bewust om de rust op te zoeken. Dit betekent wel dat je een scooter of golfkar nodig hebt als je ergens naartoe wilt, want er is niet heel veel in de buurt. Er rijden ook bussen langs de accommodatie.

Café da manhã muito bom! Localização era ao Sul da Ilha, mais afastado do centro, nos atendeu perfeitamente, pois achamos as praias do Sul mais bonitas e sem tanta ''bagunça'' do centro.

El sitio es muy agradable y la cabaña es muy cómoda y bien equipada . Tienes una televisión grande por si te apetece ver algo. Otro detalle es que tienes un bidón de agua mineral que nos sobró para dos personas, una semana. Es un auténtico paraíso y el dueño es un tío muy majo.

El lugar es increíble. Se nota que está hecho con mucho amor y mucho cuidado en cada detalle. Las habitaciones son grandes y muy cómodas, todo está muy limpio y con buen aroma. Otro párrafo a parte para la atención de Liz y Luis, son muy atentos y amorosos, de una calidad humana que no se ve en todas partes. Definitivamente es un lugar para volver

Si buscas relajarte, paz y tranquilidad este es el lugar. Liz te hace sentir que estás en tu casa. Está atenta y dedicada a que tengas una estadía excelente. Y lo logra!! El parque, cubierto de vegetación, el desayuno, con sabores diferentes cada día, hacen que sea una mañana ideal para comenzar el día. La habitación es grande y cómoda, con una vista hermosa al jardín. Súper recomendable. Lo volvería a elegir!! Gracias Liz y Luis por darnos lindos momentos.

Los anfitriones (Luz y Luis) son más amables que jamás yo pudiera imaginar! El lugar de los sueños, tan tranquilo y acogedor... que no quería salir fuera! La cabaña tiene de todo y más, comodisísima! Muuuuuuy limpio, arreglado y bien cuidado todo. Nos pusimos llorar al darse cuenta que teníamos que salir de allí((( El año que viene, o antes, volveré con mi marido!!!!

La atención de la señora Liz y el esposo fueron las mejores, las instalaciones y la tranquilidad del hotel, nos facilitaron el alquiler de la moto para movernos por la isla, los desayunos deliciosos y variados, el aseo de la habitación siempre impecable, el hotel es hermoso y muy amigable con el medio ambiente, si buscas donde descansar del ruido de la ciudad es el mejor lugar.

Liz and Luis were exceptional hosts. They welcomed me with an overview of the hotel. There is a pool that is available and the bus passes by the hotel so flagging it down is easy. If you want something for dinner you'll need to get it in the city center or have it delivered, double check the payment options. Delivery usually costs around 25k. The breakfast offered is a great way to start your day. The last bus from the city center to the hotel usually leaves around 7:35 pm. Nearby you have a lot of great beaches within walking distance. I especially recommend the small business "Playa Mantarraya y Coco Lounge" which is about 50 minutes walking distance or a short bus ride (east side). There are no kitchen facilities unless you book the room with a kitchen. Blue Lizard House is a special place that is peaceful, relaxing and removed from the loud noise of the city center. You won't be disappointed!

Eine tolle Unterkunft fernab vom Trubel. Klein aber sehr fein. Unser Zimmer war groß mit schönem Balkon und Bad. Ganz herzliche Gastgeber. Da etwas abseits , lohnt es sich einen Roller oder ein anderes Fahrzeug zu mieten. Luis und Liz sind sehr hilfsbereit. Die gesamte Anlage ist toll gepflegt. Es hat viel Spaß gemacht hier zu wohnen.Jedezeit wieder.0

El hotel está muy bien cuidado, todas las instalaciones incluyendo las habitaciones estaban muy limpias y bonitas. La atención de Liz y su esposo fue excepcional. Esta alejado del centro por lo que es un espacio muy tranquilo y libre de ruido.

Me hubiese gustado tener una opción de restaurante en el hotel sobre todo para la noche pero todas maneras te ofrecen opciones y recomendaciones de restaurantes cercanos o servicios a domicilio.

Sehr herzlicher Empfang durch Liz und Luis! Es ist ein kleines Paradies - ideal zum Abschalten – abseits von Bars und Clubs. Wir bekamen, da wir schon früh Programm hatten, ein leckeres Frühstück zum Mitnehmen. Da es wenig Restaurants in der Umgebung gibt, haben wir zwei Mal Pizza bestellt, was eine gute Alternative für uns war. Wir konnten Schnorchelausrüstung für einen kleinen Aufpreis ausleihen, was wir ebenfalls sehr geschätzt haben.

Muy recomendable! Fuimos con mi novia luego de haber hecho una extensa búsqueda, y elegimos guiados por los comentarios de Booking. Claramente acertamos. El lugar es muy tranquilo, ideal para separarse del bullicio de una isla bastante popular. Un capítulo aparte para Liz y Luis, sus dueños, que han montado un paraíso y que agregan una energía única a cada momento. Sin dudas los mejores anfitriones que he tenido; han colaborado muchísimo nuestra estadía. Los servicios son geniales, la casa en la que nos hospedamos tenía todo lo necesario; el desayuno hecho por Liz 10/10, y tienen una muy linda zona común con una piscina ideal para relajarse. Muchísimas gracias, no hay palabras para expresarlo! Volveremos!

Blue lizard house was my second home in San Andrés. Liz and Luis were wonderful host/hostess. They were really attentive and wonderful people. The place was a bliss, a beautiful hotel far away from the centre of the island which can be very stressful and chaotic. The pool is right next to the sea and there’s also a deck if you want to watch the sunset

Tolle Unterkunft und super Gastgeber. Lage nicht super zentral, aber ein Bus hält direkt vor der Tür. Ansonsten kann man Fahrrad, Scooter oder Buggy mieten. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und man kann sich jederzeit an Sie wenden. Auch der Pool ist wunderbar. An diesem kann man auch sehr schön den Sonnenuntergang beobachten.

Leider waren die Matratzen in unserem Zimmer (Zweibett-Zimmer) viel zu hart. Außerdem konnten wir leider nirgends herauslesen, dass es hier kein warmes Wasser zum Duschen gibt.

The Blue Lizard House is located in the south of San Andrés, which makes it perfect for a calm and beautiful landscape in the island full of life. Liz and Luis are lovely hosts, providing everything you could possibly need, always with the nicest smile. The property has the most amazing sea view and a pool where you can spend a great time after a long day around SA, especially at sunset. Although Blue Lizard is located a bit far away from the center, if you have a mula or a motorcycle, it’s very easy to go around and you can still enjoy the most amazing view during your ride. The property also has a parking space which makes it even easier. No doubt, this was the best property we’ve stayed at in Colombia so far. Couldn’t recommend it more, for the quality of the property, the hosts, the landscape, everything was at its very best!

Ich war vor 2 Wochen dort und muss sagen... Ich möchte wieder zurück. Es war sehr entspannend. Alles war toll. Loz und ihr Mann sind super nett und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer war ein eigener Bungalow mit Wohn-/Schlafzimmer und offener kleiner Küche. Es gab alles nötige on der Küche. Wasserkocher, Sandwichtoaster, Pfannen und Töpfe... Man ist abseits der nächsten Ortschaft und ungefähr eine halbe Stunde weg zu San Andrés und dem Flughafen. Entweder nimmt man ein Taxi (wo bei der Buchung gerne geholfen wird) oder den Inselbus der jede 30min vorbeifährt. Vor Ort kann man sich Fahrräder oder Buggys oder Scotter ausleihen. Der Pool vor Ort ist super. Man ist auf der Westseite der Insel die steiniger ist wie die Ostseite mit Sandstränden, das sollte klar sein. Man kann aber theoretisch die Straße entlang laufen (ca 15min) und man ist quer über die Insel gelaufen und am nächsten Sandstrand. Alles in allem fand ich den Aufenthalt super und würde ohne zu zögern sofort wieder dorthin gehen wenn ich San Andrés besuche.

La casa es muy bonita, limpia, tranquila. La habitación cumplió con lo que esperaba, cómoda, grande, con aire, wifi, y otros servicios. Los desayunos son deliciosos y variados. La anfitriona es amable y dispuesta a guiar.

Es por gustos, pero para mí el colchón es duro, estoy más acostumbrada a colchones un poco más blandos.

My stay at the Blue Lizard House was simply fantastic! Liz and Luiz are such amazing hosts — kind, genuine, and always ready to help with anything. I immediately felt welcomed and at home. The place itself is beautiful and has a very authentic charm. It’s peaceful, surrounded by a lovely garden full of flowers and friendly animals. The room was super nice, comfortable, and spotless — perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the island. And the view! Watching the sunset from the property was absolutely magical. I couldn’t have wished for a better stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting San Andrés!

Una experiencia inolvidable en Blue Lizard San Andrés Mi estadía en Blue Lizard, con Liz y Luis como anfitriones, superó todas mis expectativas. Desde el primer momento, todo fue simplemente maravilloso. La ubicación es perfecta, ofreciendo la tranquilidad que buscaba para escapar del ajetreo, pero con fácil acceso a la isla. La disponibilidad de una moto o vehículos de 4 ruedas es un plus invaluable que me permitió explorar la isla con total libertad. Los desayunos eran una delicia cada mañana, preparados con esmero y atención al detalle. La decoración del lugar es exquisita, creando un ambiente acogedor y lleno de encanto. Cada rincón refleja el cuidado y el amor que Liz y Luis ponen en su hogar. La atención y el acompañamiento que recibí fueron excepcionales. Liz y Luis son grandes anfitriones, siempre disponibles, flexibles y atentos a cualquier necesidad, asegurándose de que mi estancia fuera lo más placentera posible. Su amabilidad y los pequeños detalles hicieron una gran diferencia. Los hermosos jardines y la refrescante piscina son perfectos para relajarse. Mi habitación, con su altura amplia y un encantador balcón, era un verdadero refugio. Además, la limpieza y el orden de todo el lugar son impecables. Recomiendo Blue Lizard a cualquiera que busque un lugar tranquilo, hermoso y con un servicio inigualable. Espero tener la ocasión de volver pronto.

La ubicación es un super plus para quienes buscamos descansar, y conectarnos con el mar y la naturaleza. Quien busque restaurantes cercanos, fiesta u otros, sugiero alquilar un vehículo. En las noches la zona sur es oscura, recomiendo regresar a horas prudentes por seguridad.

Very clean accommodation in a beautiful and quiet setting, with spacious rooms and a large pool with plenty of space for loungers. You can snorkel and swim in the surrounding area; the location is perfect! The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and you can easily rent a mule there. We had a wonderful time there!

Si buscas disfrutar de San Andrés, este es tu sitio. El hotel es una maravilla; las habitaciones súper amplias con bonitas terrazas, el jardín (súper cuidado y bonito), la piscina, los desayunos caseros…Todo hace que disfrutes de un sitio perfecto para desconectar y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Para nosotros situado en la mejor zona de la isla. Pero sin duda, lo mejor, la atención de Lizz y Luis, siempre dispuestos a charlar y dar buenas recomendaciones. Consiguen que te sientas como en tu propia casa. Si algún día volvemos a San Andrés, no tenemos dudas de donde nos quedaremos.

Die Gastgeber Liz & Luiz sind so toll! Wir fühlten uns richtig willkommen. Sie sind so herzlich und haben wertvolle Tips uns Infos für den Aufenthalt. Die Lage ausserhalb vom Zentrum war gar kein Problem. Die Fahrt entlang der Küste ins Zentrum mit dem Buggy war jedes Mal ein Erlebnis. Auf dem Weg gibt es so viel zu entdecken. Zudem ist das Blue Lizard House ein so schönes, liebevoll eingerichtetes Zuhause. Ein kleines Paradies :-) Muchas gracias!

Very nice clean property in the quiet part of the island. Very hospitable owners. You can rent a buggy to drive around. They also serve good breakfast.

The hosts are incredibly friendly and are always there to help you. They made their accomodation completely themselves and they really did an amazing job. Beautiful blue houses and a beautiful garden. Also the breakfast and the way they serve it is amazing. You can also rent a very good UTV at their place, so you can easily discover the island. Maybe the location is a little far away from the busy part of the island, but that is also the advantage and in 20 minutes, you are already in the center and you are in much more authentic place with the nicest hosts you can imagine.

Quite possibly the best stay we have ever had anywhere. Louis and Liz are the most amazing hosts and made us feel completely at home. It’s quiet, breakfast is great and the rooms was perfect

Luis and Liz were fabulous hosts, very chatty and ensured our stay was excellent. Blue Lizard was designed and built by them to a very high standard. Very large rooms and bathroom. Everything you need. Lovely pool. Views of the sea. Quiet. Very clean and spacious. Lovely gardens.

The slight issue was that the local restaurants tended to shut about 6, but you can get round this using the regular bus service or hiring a mule.

Very beautiful structure of new construction very well maintained in quiet part of the island. The owners did a great job and are very friendly. I rent a buggy by them to discover the island , absolutely recommended !

What a beautiful and restful place! No blasting music at the pool. Loved it. And I appreciated the hosts’s recommendations and care. To get around, there is an island bus which stops right outside the hotel.

It can be a challenging location for a solo traveler without a car but the owners do everything to help you get around.

This beautiful property is located on the southern side of the island and that makes it the perfect place to rest and relax far from the crowds and the noise. We even saw blue lizards and tons of birds! The rooms and the facilities are clean, very well maintained and have everything you may need. Liz and Luis are amazing and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable; they gave us great recommendations and were always available and happy to help us.

It is not something I did not like but if you want to venture out of the property, I recommend having some sort of transportation so you can move around. The owners have mulitas for rent and we loved moving around and exploring the whole island in those.

My family and I had the most wonderful week at Liz and Luis’s home on San Andres! The property is located in the peaceful southern part of the island, which provided an escape from the busier areas. We enjoyed leisurely morning walks and discovered quieter beaches. The breakfast and fresh fruit provided each day were delicious, and the pool was well-maintained, always ready for a refreshing swim. Renting a buggy from our hosts was incredibly useful, and it made exploring the island easy—only a 30 minute scenic drive into the centre . With such kind and accommodating hosts, we couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing stay—highly recommended! Roxana

Luis and his wife were super attentive and made me feel like at home. I will recommend renting the motorbike to explore the island with them rather than with island people at the center.

Wow! What an amazing place, calm, amazing owners, very good breakfast. The reality is better than the photos. Since it's small (only 4 rooms), we almost had the big pool for ourselves

Keep in mind it's far away from the city (15km =~ 30 minutes) and it's hard to go/come back since you can't rent a car on the island and buggy isn't that cheap

It is exactly as I expected based on pictures and other reviews I read. I am so glad I chose the south part of the island and Blue Lizard House! I’m not a big fan of noise and crowded places. This was the exact opposite of that. The pool and social area are very pleasant. The room is huge and the bed although hard was surprisingly very comfortable. The entire property is very clean and organized. The AC worked great. And as if that isn’t enough Liz and Luis are really friendly and were extremely attentive to anything I needed. I rented a scooter from them at a great rate. Breakfast was made to order each morning and really yummy. Liz prepares it with lots of love. The dogs are very sweet and it was cool to actually see the blue lizards on the property. I super recommend Blue Lizard House and will definitely stay here every time I come to San Andres!

We loved staying here because it’s located in the South of the Island where it is very quiet, tranquil and peaceful. The property is beautiful and has a lovely pool and gardens. Liz and Luis are the kindest, most attentive hosts, who made our stay so perfect. They gave excellent advice about where to go snorkelling and we were able to hire masks, snorkels and shoes. The breakfast is great and very substantial and there’s a mini bar with snacks and drinks in the room if you need it. Thank you Liz and Luis for making us feel so welcome and at home during our stay with you xxx

From the moment we arrived at this hotel in San Andres, Colombia, it was clear we had stumbled upon a truly special place. Our hosts, Liz and Luis, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They have crafted a haven of comfort, beauty, and tranquility in the south of the island, far from the bustling center, offering guests a peaceful retreat surrounded by the stunning sea and lush nature, including some remarkable lizards 🦎. The attention to detail is evident throughout the property, which boasts a cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated environment that instantly feels like home. But it's not just the aesthetics that make this place stand out; the breakfast served here is very good, and the swimming pool is so inviting that we often found ourselves wanting to spend the entire day lounging by its side. This hotel is a true gem in San Andres, offering the perfect blend of quiet and charm for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. We have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend it to anyone in search of a serene, picturesque getaway. Liz and Luis have created not just a hotel, but an experience that we will cherish forever. If you appreciate tranquility and beauty, this is undoubtedly the right place for you.

The property is secure, private and quiet. Luis and Liz, owners, are quick to reach out after booking to explain important details such as Tourism cards, bug spray and airport pick up The bus stops directly in front of the property on the island’s perimeter road. We did not use the bus as we easily rented a Mule or scooter on site for each of the days. This allowed us easy access to all of the island’s amenities. The pool area was well kept with a variety of pool furniture. Blue lizards and birds are seen on the premises. Coffee is ready near the pool early each morning. Breakfast is made to order, prompt and can be eaten on the on suite deck or near the pool.

My husband and I loved everything! We enjoyed the facilities size since every room and lobby was design with plenty of space width and height. As an autistic adult, I have sensory overloads but I was feeling great all the time there. Plus, as a very detailed oriented person I valued themes and colors and enjoyed the walks and stories they shared with us. We highlight how everything was neat and clean all the time too. Liz and Luis are very kind and welcome people. As soon as we arrived there we felt like being with family around them. We really enjoyed the cultural exchange since they spend time with us showing us the culture, flowers, fruits, pictures and explained with clear instructions how the place works... Also, we got to taste delicious breakfast and snacks they prepared with such amount of love and dedication. It feels in the air the peace and beautiful place. If you want to experience a quiet and peaceful place to spend your vacation, this is definitely the right place for you. We can not wait to come back to Blue Lizard House. It feels both like at home with care and love 🏡 and like a 5 star hotel (clean, tidy, neat, quiet, peaceful, beautiful) plus as an autistic adult I found this place very friendly to spend your vacations.

Relaxing, cozy property with spectacular sunsets included. The rooms are sparkling clean. The breakfast is such a lovely bonus each morning. The owners Liz and Luis make you feel right at home and are so very helpful.

What a lovely place! Delicious breakfast, beautiful decor, tranquil location, a short walk to a restaurant and the beach. Shy but sweet chickens and dogs. Owners on premises. Lizzie and Luis did everything to make me feel welcome, safe, and happy. A fantastic value. It’s like a small private villa. At half the prices in the center of town. It’s away from the fray, good for those who want peace and quiet. If you want action rent a mule or stay in town.

No stores nearby. I didn’t need anything but if you bring kids you probably need to rent a mule as they might want snacks or need more sunscreen, etc.

The Blue Lizard house was great. The king size room was spacious and well equipped. The accommodation is located away from the touristy parts of the island which meant it was quiet and peaceful without much traffic and noise. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place away from city hassle.

Quite literally the best property I stayed at during my time in Colombia. Liz and Luis are the most incredible hosts and truly care for their guests. They go out of their way to ensure your stay is not only the most comfortable you have ever had, but the most enjoyable as well. They have everything you need to make the most out of your stay on San Andres Island and have created a guide book (in multiple languages) to assist you in planning your vacation according to your wants/needs. The property is in a quiet area with a fantastic pool area overlooking the ocean where you can watch the most breathtaking sunsets. I highly recommend staying at this property if you are travelling to San Andres.

Wonderful hosts that make you feel like you are at home! Beautiful big room. Lovely breakfast service every morning. Ability to rent scooters and bikes from them. 5 minute walk to a nice restaurant. Location is wonderful for peace and quiet and nature. The pool is fabulous. Lovely yard/gardens and sunsets!

The beds are the hardest I have ever experienced, but I slept great anyway!

A wonderful gem of a property on the southern part of the island. Quiet and lots of lovely touches and amenties, the owners always attentive to the needs of the guest. Next to the water and close to nice swim spots. Highly recommended.

Luis and Liz are serious hosts, that understand the needs of guests and have created a lovely oasis on San Andres Island. If you want quiet and peace, this is the place, nice breakfast, open floor plan, all the details, great internet. You cannot go wrong here. They also rent vehicles and are very helpful, at all times. This was my best experience on the island, I will return!

It is a stunning out of the way place with views of the sea and sunset. The room was very comfortable, and the bed especially. There was a reasonably priced mini bar, and you could also buy jugs of drinking water. This took the pressure off of finding a shop. It really is a relaxing location and hard to get something of this quality on the island. There is lots to do on the island, and the hosts made helpful suggestions. We also rented bikes and a snorkle.

Everything about Blue Lizard house was fantastic, the place is magical, the location is perfect, quiet, cozy and inviting, the pool is super relaxing, the breakfast is delicious. However, the best part were the owners, Liz and Luis, recommendations for activities all ready for us, they have everything we needed, drinks, scooters, bikes, snorkereling equipment, Luis took us to and from the airport, every need or questions we had, met and answer. Highly recommended.

Best place to stay in San Andres! We stayed in few places around island throughout our stay and Blue Lizard House was our favourite for sure!

Clean and comfortable, high ceilings and ample rooms well protected from the sun and with great facilities to enjoy and relax either by the pool or at the balcony. Air conditioning and wifi are great and Liz and Luis have added some lovely touches all along. They treated us like family, really accommodating and helpful offering advice and a lovely and varied breakfast every day. A home away from home and the location was great. far away from the city center, perfect to rest and relax.

When you read the reviews about how amazing Liz and Lewis are, believe them. This is a beautiful property, with large comfortable rooms, amazing views, and friendly inviting owners. It truly gives the feel of home away from home. If I could back next week, I would. The sun rises and sun sets were awesome by the pool.

The bed mattresses are a bit too firm. But I was able to adjust after the first night.

Beautiful place, huge room, calm and quiet.

Blue Lizard is a nice hotel with only four, individually equipped rooms at the southern end of the island. Different from the north, it is very quiet and relaxing. If you want to go to places, you can walk, bike, use the regular bus service, or rent a moped , car or golf cart. Breakfast is good and served next to the pool or on the terasse. Everything is spotless and very beautifully decorated.
