Reviewed Sep 3, 2026The staff were very friendly and kind. The accommodation was lovely, clean, and comfortable. The glass wall overlooking the forest made the stay feel very special and created a beautiful atmosphere. The sauna was excellent, and we also loved the dogs. Breakfast was delicious, especially one of the homemade jams, which was a real highlight.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026EVERYTHING! This place is GOLDEN! The cottages are impeccably designed to the utmost details of care and comfort. They are almost luxurious. The huskies are simply out of this world. We had great time with the staff and the puppers. The staff is very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable about Norway and the huskies. They were super helpful. The breakfast spread is also amazing. Highlights are the beautiful 3 cats on the property, specially Pepsi! 😍 100/10 If you can please do stay and experience this one of a kind accommodation. Ps- we also had the pleasure of working and getting the huskies ready for a quick sled. Which was phenomenal. If you love animals and luxury in one place this is it!
There is nothing I don’t like about Holmen Husky lodge.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2025Alojamiento perfecto, limpio, muy cómodo y acogedor. Cuidan mucho los detalles, el entorno en el bosque es maravilloso, tranquilidad total en plena naturaleza. El desayuno muy bueno, y poder ver y estar con los perros de cerca es fantástico.

Le petit déjeuner était excellent, copieux et raffiné. Le personnel est lui aussi très attentionné. Nous reviendrons sans hésitation, en hiver, pour découvrir les aurores boréales.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2025Wir wurden als erstes von Pepsi begrüßt. Ein schwarzer Kater, der sofort unser Herz erobert hat. Dann sind wir wie gewohnt zur Rezeption. Dort hätten wir nicht herzlicher empfangen werden können. Wir haben uns so willkommen und wohl gefühlt, wie selten an anderen Orten. Man spürt die Liebe der Menschen zu den Tieren sehr intensiv. Leider haben wir auf unserer Reise nicht zu viel Zeit, sonst wären wir sicher noch geblieben. Wir kommen wieder und dann möchte ich jeden einzelnen Husky kennen lernen und auch die Menschen, die sich so liebevoll kümmern. Wir danken euch von ganzem Herzen für das was ihr macht und vor allen Dingen, dass ihr anderen Menschen die Chance gebt ein Teil davon zu sein! DANKESCHÖN!!! Liebste Grüße Julia und Johannes

Reviewed Aug 20, 2025Lodge magico immerso completamente nella natura! Tutto in legno con cura anche ai minimi dettagli nell’arredo. Pulitissimo. Colazione buonissima con prodotti locali. Gli husky sono tenerissimi e coccolosi, la mattina abbiamo fatto un tour guidato nell’allevamento. Staff gentilissimo, sono tutti ragazzi giovani appassionati per quello che fanno. Super consigliato! Spero di tornarci in inverno per godermi la magia dell’aurora boreale

Es war sehr warm, ein Minikühlschrank wäre wichtig. Das passt nicht zur sonst perfekten Ausstattung

Reviewed Aug 4, 2025The challets are fantastic. So cozy and comfortable, and the view on the woods thru those big windows... it's like you sleeping in the nature but in a most comfortable bed. Dogs are nice and the people very open and friendly! I had a very late check-in and they were kind enough to let instructions for me on how to get to my challet, breakfast hours and so on! Definitely a place to visit!

Reviewed Aug 1, 2025De bungalows zijn mooi, praktisch, ruim en in een zeer luxueuze afwerking. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en het ontbijt was eveneens ruim voldoende en lekker. We hebben ook een keer een avondmaaltijd gegeten (je kan enkel kiezen tussen vlees of vis), maar was ook zeer lekker! Wij waren hier in de zomer, nòg beter zal het in de winter zijn: dat is hét hoogtepunt.

Hors saison, fin juillet, seulement 3 familles dans l'hotel et ils osent faire payer le sauna et le jacuzzi en plus. Ridicule. Surtout que le jacuzzi tourne à vide. Les rideaux sur les côtés du lodge ne sont pas occultants. Aucune explication sur les hyskies. A part les voir attacher dans leurs cages, rien du tout.

Tussen de honden “wonen” is geweldig. Heerlijk ontbijt en een super huisje. Mooi en sfeervol ingericht. We zouden zo terugkomen in de winter.

Breakfast was quite simple, but tasty. There are no other services, but surely some shops etc. quite close by car.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2025Die letzte Übernachtung bei unserem Roadtrip im norwegischen Norden und zum Nordkapp, zur Zeit der Mitternachtssonne. Durchweg außergewöhnlich umschreibt es sehr passend. Lage, Team, Ausstattung, Unterkunft, die Hunde, die Angebote, usw. Es war die Krönung unseres Norwegen Aufenthalt und wir werden wieder kommen - dann aber nicht nur eine Nacht. Alles bis ins kleinste Detail liebevoll gestaltet. Wir waren restlos begeistert!!! P/L ist absolut in Ordnung. Zu Beachten ist, dass die Unterkunft keine Ferienwohnung mit Kochgelegenheit ist - entweder im Haupthaus sich für Mittag-/ Abendessen voranmelden, oder in der Stadt Essen gehen. Frühstück war bei Uns inklusive und ausgesprochen lecker!!

Mökistä puuttuu jääkaappi. Makuuhuoneen pimennysverhot on vasta tuloillaan.
