Norvamaja with a lake view, sauna and jacuzzi

The house is situated in an enchanting location, overlooking the frozen, snow-covered lake, with a splendid view and surrounded by the tranquillity of the forest, a 15-minute drive from Rovaniemi and 10 minutes from the shopping centres. It is a modern, elegant and refined house, equipped with every comfort and extra amenities (a Jacuzzi with a view and a sauna). Whenever we needed anything, the owners sorted out any difficulties in a flash (for example, a personal problem with the car) and were always very helpful. Having spent a whole month there, I can only regret having to leave and hope to return sooner or later.

Given that I was staying for such a long time, the only thing I missed was a “proper” espresso machine (but then again, I am Italian...)...

La cabaña es estupenda, fascinante, cudnta con todo lo que necesitas para disfrutar muchismo algo tan lindo como Finlandia en invierno. Algo fascinantes es el lago que esta justo en frente y que nos dio el panorama ideal para ver las auroras boreales casi que esclusivas y privadas. Un ambiente único, su jacuzzi, sauna y privacidad lo hace algo extraordinario.

Aunque tienes toda la privacidad porque esta en medio del bosque, tal vez la posibilidad de tener cortinas lo haria más completo.

Beautiful setting that will stay with us forever. Kids loved the back garden to play in, and sitting in the jacuzzi as the snow fell was very special.

A little tricky to find but the snow storm didn't help! A few extra hooks around the place would be very helpful as storage space is at a premium. A note in the guide about solving the E02 problem with the dishwasher would have been good, surely we can't be the first people to accidentally turn off its water supply.

Like most places in Rovaniemi the location with the snow was nice.

This was not a comfortable stay at all and we checked out 2 days early. Firstly the location is not private so do not be fooled by the photographs. The place is TINY and we found it cold inside as there are instructions not to turn the heat up and it was fixed at 23.5 which is just too cold in that environment and the only place we have ever stayed with no log fire. The furniture is very cheap and uncomfortable certainly not suitable for adults as even the children found it difficult to stay there. The sofa bed is not suitable for anyone to sleep as there are NO curtains for any type of privacy which was very strange to see guests walking outside and children playing when they can see straight into your sleeping area. The smoke house etc are all communal for other people to use so if you are thinking this is an ideal spot for isolation you will be disappointed. I wish I had read the reviews before booking as I can see quite a few people have mentioned these exact problems. We are frequent visitors to the area and we have loved all of the other places but we had to check out early and book elsewhere as this was so uncomfortable and we didnt want to spoil the holiday for the kids. The hosts took over 1 day to reply to this complaint and replied that they do not advertise the house with curtains - I have never thought to ever ask any accommodation if they provided privacy in a sleeping area. they also responded that they cannot stop people from wandering around a communal area - I think they should be more clear in their description of the place as I feel totally ripped off having paid nearly £900 and having to check out.

The cabin feels like something out of a fairytale, nestled in the forest by the lake. The jacuzzi and sauna were always warm and inviting. We truly loved our stay — it felt like being in another world.

Superbe vue depuis le logement. Très bien équipé, avec des équipements de qualité. Jacuzzi et sauna au top.

Pas de store, rideau ou volet. J'aurais du regarder les avis avant, parce que je ne l'avais pas imaginé. Du coup de jour c'est très lumineux, mais de nuit, on s'est senti regardé (ce qui n'était très certainement pas le cas bien sûr). Je croyais le chalet plus isolé aussi. Mais il y a d'autre habitation juste à côté.

La casa è molto bella, nuova e ben tenuta. La vista sul lago è meravigliosa, come la salsa e la vasca isromassaggio esterna. Cucina ben attrezzata con elettrodomestici e stoviglie.

- totale assenza di spazi dove riporre gli abiti (siamo stati costretti a tenerli per terra) - mancanza per alcuni cuscini di federe (poiché alcuni cuscini erano macchiati di giallo senza federa l’utilizzo non era igienico) - pochi asciugamani/teli bagno a disposizione

L'emplacement est idéal! Il faudra absolument une voiture pour s'y rendre, tout est parfait, comme sur les photos. La vue est incroyable, tout est très propre! On y a été pour des vacances en famille, pendant l'été et c'est vraiment top! Sauna et jacuzzi sont vraiment des plus! Mon moment préféré c'était de prendre mon café sur le ponton du lac!

Les "points négatifs" si vraiment on veut en trouver : - Aucun meuble pour ranger les affaires - L'échelle pour accéder a la mezzanine est mal situé et "bloque" un peu l'espace de la cuisine. - l'été, il n'y a pas vraiment de nuit, et il n'y a ni volet ni rideau (en même temps c'est impossible avec cette énorme et magnifique baie vitré). N'hésitez pas à prendre des masque de nuit pour dormir si vous partez en été.

Absolutely nothing!

We loved the location and the beautiful scenery. The property looks unreal, if I was to design a property it would look very similar to this. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi and the sauna. The place is also lovely and warm.

We loved our stay in Norvmaja and we would definitely return. Response time could have been quicker but it didn't hinder our stay we enjoy being left to out own devices. I'd definitely recommend 👌

Small but beautiful. Very comfortable beds and we'll equipped kitchen. The sauna and jacuzzi were fabulous as was the view over the frozen lake.

Small, fine house in a fantastic location right on the lake. The kitchen is adequately equipped, nice whirlpool on the terrace. You can also see the northern lights here. All in all a great stay.

Everything. Perfect for Lapland stay. Snow toys for children were in porch and there is a small hill at the back that they could sled on and play. Lovely inside and out.

We can only recommend staying at this magnificent and beautiful cabin, it was exactly what we needed it, a quiet place to relax, recharge our batteries and enjoy our family time. The Cabin has everything you might need for your stay, all kind of accessories at the kitchen, towels, bed clothes, a fully prepared sauna etc. Outside you will find a heated jacuzzi with stunning views to the lake, another cabin to cook and an amazing outdoor fire place, perfect to wait for the auroras to show up. The cabin is 100% as shown on the pictures. All in all we had the perfect Christmas trip, thanks to owner for hosting us, we will for sure come back in the future.

We liked everything.

We had a wonderful stay here in January! The home is absolutely beautiful and very cozy. It is perfect for relaxing with the hot tub and sauna. We had very cloudy weather during our stay but I believe if the weather would have been better, this would have been an excellent place to see the Northern Lights! The location could not be better! Very close to Rovaniemi/Santa Claus Village yet away from the city lights for a peaceful stay. Check-in was very easy and the host is wonderful, answering any questions you may have. Absolutely perfect!!

The only thing that could possibly be a negative (but was not for us) is the staircase to get up to the bed loft. It was a little steep and if you have mobility issues, you may struggle a tad to get upstairs. Otherwise, you should definitely choose to stay here :)
