Hormis l'emplacement qui se situe à 10mn en voiture de la grande Muraille de SI MA TAI , et 1h environ de Jinshanling (cependant vous pouvez accéder a celle de Jinshanling depuis celle de simatai en téléphérique), L'hôte est super accueillante, chaleureuse, gentille et disponible elle vous aide pour toute sorte de requete afin d'y faciliter le sejour. Très très agréable.... Enfin pour l'appartement il est grand,complet et équipé (les prises pour charger sont du 2 en 1 donc avec les norme européenne c’est genial pour celle qui ramèneleur fer à lisser) Le village est très calme c’est un sacré plus... Très beau séjour. Merci

Está todo limpio, cómoda la estancia y en un pueblecito tranquilo. La propietaria era encantadora y nos preparó un desayuno muy bueno. Está cerca de la muralla aunque hay que ir en coche.

Fuimos un grupo de 8 personas y no pudimos encontrar mejor alojamiento a este. Si volviéramos sin duda repetiríamos. Lina es encantadora y te ayuda en todo y está pendiente continuamente. Ojalá tuviéramos una Lina en cada alojamiento 😂

Housekeeper is wonderful

The place and location were fantastic but the true gem of this property is the host Anna. So incredibly sweet, and helpful from the moment we arrived until we left. We would go back here solely based on her alone but the place really was great too. Highly recommend

Close to gubei water town, delicious breakfast, lady host was extremely helpful. We were stranded at gubei around 11pm and couldnt book any taxi back. We contacted the host for help and she woke up her neighbour to come pick us up. She also helped to arrange for a large taxi back to the airport. Highly recommended!

It can be a bit noisy in the morning as there are motor sounds or loudspeaker sound from roaming merchants. Just close the windows when you sleep and it shouldnt be a problem.

Anna, the host was amazing. She always went out of her way for everyone that stayed. It was a really comfortable place to stay, nice and clean and quiet. Breakfast was great. I came to Simatai to do the Conquer the Wall Marathon and Anna was up and had breakfast for us all at 4:30. I wasn't even going to ask for breakfast as it was so early but it wasn't a problem.

If you visit Gubei Water Town and Great Wall section, I wouldn't prefer this house-better to stay inside the Gubei hotels. It is about 5 minute with taxi to reach Gubei Water Town, but return from the Town to Simatai village is pain. The toilet is also open type in rooms which is awkward and strange.

The property was beautiful and quiet. Food in the area was good and less expensive than Gubei. A short and easy taxi ride to Simatai wall entrance. We wished we stayed one more night.

Located in a village area just a 5mins drive to Gubei Watertown. Location was good, the owner was very warm and hospitable. The villa is just like what you will see in the pictures. Beautifully done up!

Nous avons pu profiter pleinement, d'autant plus que nous étions tous seuls, c'était très confortable ! Notre hôte était très disponible et sympathique, le petit déjeuner etait copieux.

Il n'y a pas grand chose à faire autour de l'hôtel, à part aller à la muraille évidemment ! Mais nous en avons profité pour nous reposer.

Clean, friendly housekeeper and very helpful. Village had a number of restaurants that opened until very late. Safe and quiet place if you don't like touristy and noisy accommodation.

It was a great location and with plenty of places to eat in the evening. We loved walking around the local area. The villa itself was very comfortable with everything we needed for a short stay and the owner was exceptionally helpful

We had a great stay at Simatai villa. The staff was very friendly and she helped us to get transfers organised. The restaurants in the village were also recommended by the staff. Overall a good place to stay with family.

Stayed for 2 nights with my family of 6 adults. The house is super comfortable. Beds 10/10. Bathrooms are superb. Service is exceptional, Andrew went out of his way to help us with anything we needed. Breakfast beautifully served. Quiet surroundings. Simatai entrance easily accesible by taxi for 10 rmb/p/p, a 10 minute ride that the host will organize for you. Thank you for everything!

Location is residential area. Nothing much around the vicinity.

The place is beautiful, clean, and comfortable—perfect for groups, with a BBQ area available. The bathroom is lovely, and the location shouldn’t be a problem if you rent a car or arrange transfers. The TV offers a wide variety of movies to enjoy. The dining area is right next to the house, which is very convenient. The cook and the host are both kind and take great care of guests. The breakfast is simple but delicious and very fitting.

It’s a pity there’s no washer and dryer, which could be inconvenient for longer stays.

The description of this accommodation is misleading. It did not mention that the living room, dining area are common areas shared by 3 rooms. It stated one-bedroom villa but it is actually a house with 3 rooms. There is no door between toilet and bedroom 😓 whatever activity in toilet can be heard and smelled in bedroom!

Slight sewage smell in the room closest to the kitchen and it was rather difficult to find decent food for my children around the area. Need to travel to the watertown to get decent food.

It's situated 3km from Gubei Water Town (5 minutes drive or 30 minutes walk). There are few restaurants within 5 minutes walk from the property. Or you can buy some ready to eat food where you can hear it up with the provided microwave oven. Conditions of the property and room are as pictures.

Very modern, clean and in a quiet location, 30min walking from Gubei Town and simatai wall and 25min drive from Jinshaling wall (which might be the best section of the wall!). The host was also amazing and gave tips and tried to help with every questions we had during our stay - very responsive. The housekeeper was also very helpful at organising taxis and giving tips for restaurants. Although she did not speak english, we had no problem communicating through translation apps. I

Due to the remote location, it was quite difficult to travel around with public transportation or use Didi. All travel had to be organised with the housekeeper using private taxi which turns out to be bit more expensive. This included the travel back to Beijing since the only option was a nearby train that gets to Beijing quite late in the day. I think this might be due to the fact that we visit during the low season, so there might many more options during the high season. This was not a big issue for us, but just something to consider! Was also slightly disappointed with breakfast as it was quite simple, just an apple, one egg, some bacon and some bread. It was delicious, but was just expecting a little more variety and quantity.

It was my husband's birthday. I contacted in advance to have a birthday cake organised and they helped with a home made tiramisu! The accommodation was well thought out and had a comfortable common area to relax. The host was very nice and accommodating, rate 10/10

They have this metal hanger in the room that is very hazardous . My husband accidentally knocked on the metal and injured himself , we rushed to a nearest hospital which was more than 20km away . Host is very responsible , paid for our medical bill and apologised We did not realised that this accommodation is away from Gubei Watertown

The house was very nice and the outside sitting group was beautiful in the morning sun. The host was very helpful and even gave us a ride to Gubei.

The host and the housekeeper were incredibly informative. The house keeper communicated through translation but her warmth and friendliness needed no translation and we were looked after incredibly well. Between them, they organised all our transport, advised us on the best places to visit and the housekeeper cooked us the most delicious breakfast which fortified us to do a 2.5 hour hike on the Great Wall of China. I would stay here every time if I was wanting to visit the wall and even just as a beautiful place to relax.

The house is really amazing, it has 3 rooms. The one upstairs is gorgeous, big, with amazing sunlight and perfectly clean. In the nearby building there's the breakfast room, with western flavours (coffee,bread, eggs and bacon, fruits). The women there take care of everything and the location is surrounded in a silent, chill landscape. It's perfect for a relaxing weekend! Super recommended

Anna was there for me from the moment I arrived. She helped me with everything I needed and gave me good advice to organize my excursions. Everyday, I would have a different very complete and delicious breakfast. If I needed transportation Anna would help me find a driver. The room was clean and spacious. I truly enjoyed staying there.

The curtains between the WC and the room are too thin and wouldn't be convenient if I travel with friends because there's no much privacy.

The villa is set in a quaint village a few minutes drive away from the Gubei Watertown. I was in awe from the moment the driver entered this village. This villa was absolute bliss , five-star luxury for a fraction of the price. I enjoyed the tranquility, surroundings, fully equipped villa similar to pictures on the site. The owner and housekeeper were even more amazing. They provided guidance, pick up, drop off for a small fee, a lovely breakfast and were lways available to give advise. Absolutely cozy and peaceful environment. Very convenient to reach watertown and the Simatai section after a days hike. This property exceeded my expectations. I thorougly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return sometime in future. Thank you for your warm and kind hospitality.

Perhaps I could make a suggestion for a choice of some English books. I can't really think of anything that i didn't like.

It was a little difficult for to get a bus from Beijing but a bit of research and planning and it should be no issue.

A little piece of heaven, amazing setting with small front garden. Clean very new modern rooms that are well arranged and managed. Amazing shower, very good mattresses, small shared kitchen, living room and a great host that really goes out of her way to make you feel at home. The breakfast was prepared with lots of love. The location is near the great wall from simatai. A quiet and nice place between mountains to enjoy your holiday. There are also restaurants which we recommend to try local food. The breakfast is nice and the houskeeping and owner are very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

The only issue was that the bathroom had no door, which makes it hard to go to the toilet when there is someone else in the room with you.
