We arrived with a tiny 3kg poodle. The owner informed us that dogs were not allowed. We completely understood and offered to keep the dog outside to sleep in the car, but he aggressively refused, saying, "I don't want to see you here."
When we asked for our deposit back, he flatly refused. He spoke no English, was incredibly rude, and refused to cooperate. The situation escalated until we threatened to call the police. Only then did he agree to return our deposit, but on one condition: we had to pay him €200 cash first. This is pure blackmail and extortion.
Booking.com needs to seriously investigate this owner's abusive behavior. Stay away from this place!

Reviewed May 16, 2026Die Villa Sirius ist sehr geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtet. Einfach umwerfend ist der Blick auf den See durch die riesige Fensterfront auf der Rückseite! Man ist dabei aber völlig privat, da das Nachbarhaus der Eigentümer durch ein kleines Waldstück versteckt liegt. Johanna hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und bei einer kleinen Einführung alles Wichtige zur Klima-/Lüftungsanlage und zum schönen Kamin im Wohnzimmer erklärt.
Der See war Ende März/ Anfang April noch völlig zugefroren, so dass man ihn begehen konnte. Die Anwohner befuhren ihn auch noch mit Schneemobilen oder nutzten ihn zum Eisfischen (Angelequipment und Schneeschuhe stehen bei Bedarf im Carport-Schuppen zur Verfügung). In zwei von vier Nächten konnten wir kurz vor Mitternacht am See auch fantastische Polarlichter beobachten!
Wir haben den Komfort und die Ruhe sehr genossen und waren fast schon traurig, als wir zu unseren nächsten Zielen aufbrechen mussten (obwohl uns dort Glasdach-Iglus erwarteten). Sehr gerne würden wir noch einmal wiederkommen!
Absolut nichts - wir waren rundum zufrieden in der Villa Sirius!!!

Reviewed Mar 4, 2026Prachtig compleet modern huisje aan de rand van een meer met adembenemend uitzicht. Heerlijk rustig. Eigenaren wonen 100 meter verderop, heel handig voor vragen of problemen.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026The view and location was amazing. The hosts were so kind and very helpful. The sauna was awesome and the rooms were cozy and tidy. We stayed in the summer and the midnight sun was amazing to experience here. Be sure to pack your mosquito spray if you go in the summer.

Reviewed Dec 23, 2025Einfach alles - Johanna und Ville sind absolut die besten Vermieter, die wir je hatten. Die Lage des Hauses ist einmalig und die Einrichtung mit so viel Liebe zum Detail gemacht. Wir hatten sogar einen Weihnachtsbaum im Haus und vor der Türe. Willkommensgeschenke etc. einfach super. Die Lage ist etwas ausserhalb von Rovaniemi aber wir haben es genossen, die 20 Minuten durch die verschneite Landschaft zu fahren und die Sicht auf den zugefrorenen See und die Umgebung hätten wir nicht missen wollen. Für uns war die Woche Rovaniemi perfekt
Wie gesagt alles war super, aber die 3 Betten auf der Galerie sind für Erwarchsene ziemlich schmal mit 80 cm Breite, aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau, denn wir haben festgestellt, dass im Norden allgemein die Betten eher schmaler sind.

Un lugar mágico para disfrutar con la familia... En nuestro caso con mi mujer y dos hijas de 6, 9 años, disfrutar de la estancia de 3 días en Villa Sirius Sieri ha sido el mejor regalo que nos
podía regalar Santa!

We’ve been able to watch the aurora, walk on the frozen lake, relax in the sauna after a busy day and access everywhere easily by car. Our hosts were too friendly and helpful. They’ve walked us through the home and Rovaniemi in detail.

You can see that everything was done with passion. If you want to visit Lapland, then only here. We highly recommend. Family from Poland.

Reviewed Dec 8, 2024Highly recommend, Johanna was an exceptional host and really made our stay worthwhile. The home is very clean and the views of the lake are incredible. The home is roughly ten minutes from a local shop and twenty minutes to Rovaniemi so I would recommend renting a vehicle. We loved it here!

Loved the views - saw snowmobiles and husky teams on the frozen lake from the living room windows, which looked directly onto the lake. Lovely host met us in the wee hours of the morning when we arrived to show us in. Lovely and warm, well equipped and comfortable.
We should have stayed longer - it was magical.

Reviewed Dec 22, 2023We had a wonderful time at this amazing location and beautiful cottage. We had everything we needed and much more. We appreciated the View, The fireplace, the Sauna, and the quiet.
Some recommendations:
→ Try cloud berry Jam with leipäjusto cheese
→ LIDL Is much cheaper Than other supermarkets nearby
→ VISIT the raindeer farm around the corner
→ go sledding at the hill (mountain) nearby (greaT View!)

The only thing we didn’t like were the bed sheets. We would have preferred them being made of 100% cotton.

Reviewed Dec 16, 2022Perfect stay in the middle of the nature ! The chalet is located in front of a frozen lake and near by reindeer farm. There is a jacuzzi available and also a camp fire in the garden down to the lake. What an amazing place, very quiet and so beautiful. The inside chalet is really well designed, fully equipped. Johanna has been very helpful and super reactive ! Having a car is highly recommended to stay autonomous.
