Owner was nice and accommodating with a partial refund when I booked an extra night by mistake. The property is lovely: a converted barn with charming rustic antique style, and modern kitchen and baths. Quiet community near the water (your view overlooks their house with the water beyond). Has a small indoor sauna. If you had multiple people and wanted a few nights, it would be a dream stay. Owner offered some hiking suggestions as well, and loaned me a charger for my phone.

Super maison très atypique avec jolies décorations locales. Sur 3 niveaux donc ceux qui n^'aiment les escaliers, c compliqué ! Grande pièce de vie très chaleureuse, grande chambre avec bonnes literies. Au dernier étage grand espaces avec lit double et plein de couchages pour enfants. 2 WC et SDB au sous-sols (appréciables quand on est nombreux). Possibilité d'utiliser le sauna intérieur.

Manque quelques ustensiles de cuisine et casseroles en plus. Peut-être un peu loin du centre de Tromso.

Un emplacement de rêve, surtout pour des amateurs de pêche comme nous ! Maison confortable et bien équipée, nous avons passé un très agréable séjour. Notre hôte était charmant et attentionné.

La literie de l’étage peut être ? Pas bien adaptée à des couples.

A beautiful and spacious place, almost like a manor house. The rooms and everything in the house were clean, and we really enjoyed our stay. The rustic atmosphere was wonderful. Highly recommended — we would gladly stay here again.

The seagulls did not seem to like us very much. I had booked the place planning to fish from the shore in the evenings, but I was unable to negotiate an agreement with the seagulls 😀, so the shore fishing had to be abandoned. The internet connection was poor, but we used our own mobile hotspot, which allowed us to watch TV in the evenings.

This was a beautiful old house by the fjords, the hikes were easily accessible by foot from the house.

Manque une grande casserolle pour cuisiner en quantité, sauna "d'appoint" (cabine), quelques difficultés à éteindre les lumières (celle de l'escalier notamment) Presque rien!

The accommodation is amazing. Best place to see the northern lights. We saw it 4/4 days we stayed. The house is very nice and spacious, perfect for a group. We really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts offer different organised experiences as well.

Sehr schönes "Chalet" - niedlich eingerichtet, an schöner Lage. Klar braucht eine Transportmöglichkeit, da mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel relativ schwierig zu erreichen. Ideal für eine Gruppe und dann lohnt sich auch der Mietwagen. Man könnte natürlich über die ruhigen Strassen auch mit dem Velo gut hinkommen. Es hat alles. Man kann kochen, saunieren, Fernsehen. Wir würden gerne wieder dahingehen, es ist wie ein Zuhause. Man kann gut vom Haus aus spazieren und wandern gehen. Ideal ist ein Ausflug ins Kaffee am Esterfjord.

3 Dinge sind suboptimal: 1. Wifi Passwort fehlt. 2. Zugang zum Haus - ist unten einfach offen, oben abgeschlossen - dies muss man rausfinden. 3. Auf Nachrichten wird nicht rasch geantwortet. (Man müsste vermutlich telefonieren - wir kamen auch so zurecht)

Die Lage ein Bisschen ausserhalb, die Ruhe und die Grösse des Innenbereiches. Sehr schöne saisonale Dekoration und gut ausgerüstete Küche.

Communicatie met beheerder. Zelfs op telefonisch contact kwam er geen reactie na inspreken voicemail. Keuken matige en beperkte apparatuur (kleine langzame waterkoker, aanbakkende koekenpannen, niet genoeg deksels en grote pannen voor groep van 7) Hygiene keuken kan beter.

Polarlichter waren direkt vom Haus aus zu sehen. Schöne Aussicht. Dem Haus fehlt es an nichts. Es gab einen Holzkamin, Fernseher, Wlan, ... . Die Infrarotsauna war klein aber fein und leicht zu bedienen.

Die Treppen ins Obergeschoss waren etwas steil - vor allem für Kinder. Glücklicherweise gab es einen Handlauf an dem man sich festhalten konnte.

I loved everything about this place!!! The cabin is huge with fantastic views. I loved the decoration of the house, it felt so cosy! You can go walking to one of the best spots (!) in Norway: Ersfjordbotn.

A wonderful cottage with rustic interiors down the hill near the fjord. We noticed aurora right on top on one night and the other day had a massive snowball so the place turned into a winter wonderland. The hosts were very friendly

Restrooms are at the bottom so it can be a bit challenging if you are travelling with senior citizens who have difficulty climbing down.

Bij een slaapkamer was van een raam de lamellen kapot/verwijderd waardoor de kamer niet helemaal afgesloten kon worden.

It’s like a fairytale! The accommodation feels like home and is super authentic, you’ll find it spacious, easily accommodate the amount of people written in the advert. Reindeer visiting you sometimes and occasional humpback whale. I found it has everything you could ask for in the kitchen. We cooked a few times and made breakfast every day. It’s fully equipped. The antique furniture is so comfy you wonder why we are nowadays buying couches and mdf stuff. Never change a thing about this gem! We absolutely loved it!

Beautifully decorated house overlooking the fjord. The house could easily accommodate 2 families. The house was well equipped with all things needed. The nearest bus stop is 1 km away. In winter the road leading down to the house was not cleared from snow, so I had to park the car at the parking lot right next to the main road.

Everything was perfect and the lodge is much bigger than it looks on the pictures. Our host was helpful and friendly.

The lodge, a converted barn, was quaint and furnished in a very cozy manner. The location, on an isthmus at the junction of two fjords, was spectacular in terms of scenery, and also within easy walking distance of a tourist viewpoint. Northern lights were visible on several evenings right from our doorstep. We never met our hosts but the keys were deposited for us inside the lodge, and initial problems with the WiFi were quickly resolved by text message. We didn't use the sauna and the jacuzzi had been emptied, so apparently it was not intended for use at this time of the year.

The only small critique has to do with the kitchen appliances and utensils. We couldn't find a toaster, and some of the more worn utensils and plates should probably be sorted out of the collection. Other than that, everything inside was fine. This is not a negative, but logistically it's worth noting that the lodge is at a semi-remote location (20 minutes west of Tromsø Airport, so close enough for easy sightseeing). This wasn't a problem for us as we rented a car (the bus system seemed very efficient but we didn't try it) and there were several supermarkets between the lodge and Tromsø.

WiFi should be better

The house that appears in the photos actually turns out to be beautiful and in a great location, but we were unable to stay there. Only once we arrived on site did the host inform us that due to plumbing issues we would have to stay in the house next door, with no charm and no outdoor hot tub.

The host, upon checkin, offered us a different accommodation that was not comparable to the one booked. We refused the offer and asked for a refund. Since that time the host has not responded to me or the booking agents, in an obvious attempt to evade the duty to refund. Very dishonest!

Beautiful place, but they need to update their facility list. There is no AC, there is no fireplace (there is a firepit outside, but nothing to light it with). The Spa had a little dirty water in the bottom, so it was not functional. It only has Apple TV so if you do not have an Apple device it will make it tricky. There are not instructions for anything, apart from 3 pages telling you to take your shoes off.

It was unique and quirky. Ideal ovation for ski touring. Great supermarket nearby. Would stay there again.

Excellent location, good starting point to explore the surrounding islands. Cosy house with a lot of charm, comfortable beds and great view. Thank you for the easter flowers.

Some more cooking pots/saucepans would be great and a new kettle.

Location was good because it’s close to nature with good view of the mountains and water. It has most things you need from an accomodation.

Unresponsive host - provided no instructions about check in, and was not in touch at all from day 1. The house was quite dark, esp given outside was very dark much of the day. The host just didn’t seem to put in much effort to making the place inviting. The condiments or toiletries seemed to just be whatever previous guests left behind. Some maintenance is required - sauna not working, flickering lights.

A beautiful house in a great location. A lot of living and sleeping space, even too much for 2 people. Electric sauna is included, hot tub was not working in the winter. The location is great for hiking or aurora spotting, although you might need to get a little farther from the street lights. Inside the house there's everything you need, from hot water, kitchenware & appliances, up to heaters and warm bed linen, needed in the winter time. No problems with checking in and out, even at a late hour. You may park beside the house or at a small parking up the hill, by the main road (around 100 meters from the house), depending on the car you drive and your driving confidence.

Hot water smells a little but if you've been to the Arctic before, you'll be familiar with that.

Plenty of space, very sweetly decorated and an idyllic location at the base of a fjord. Was able to see the northern lights from the cabin one night!

Not for people with any mobility impairment, especially in the winter. The driveway was a pure sheet of ice, so I had to parking lot along the main road and walk down, using crampons, for about 150 meters, carrying my bags. Seems it remains this way for the duration of winter. I was never able to lock the door and had to leave it unsecured throughout my stay, because the key was stuck in the door on the inside. The hosta thought her husband had fixed it, but there was really no further effort to make a repair while I was there. I probably would’ve pushed more, but considered it not to be terribly problematic, considering the treacherous route down to the cabin. The bathrooms aren’t exactly ideally located… Down either one or two flights of stairs from the bedrooms. The hot tub would’ve been a nice way to relax at the end of the day, but it wasn’t working. both the showers are pod showers, which aren’t my favorite and don’t allow for much space, but the water pressure was good. The water, from the shower, however, smelled of rotten eggs, and I couldn’t ever feel really clean. Finally, the decor was a bit dusty, particularly in the main floor bedroom.

A fantastic apartment, far from tromso and suitable for those who are not looking for a place in the city center, but a place of relax and peace. The apartment is perfect, with attention to detail and equipped with all comforts.

Beautiful, serene scenery, wonderful views. Really cute cabin which was superbly decorated for Christmas, even light outside the house. Well stocked with all needed equipment, even champagne glasses, night lights and blankets for a truly koselig festive period. The cabin has a unique style with the additional antique decor on walls, comfortable beds and two bathrooms. I would absolutely recommend for families and larger groups.

I missed a washing machine especially since there was a dryer in the bathroom. Also, both the bathrooms shower cabins could be fixed as the doors are somewhat falling off...Apart from this it was a great place to stay.

the attic bedroom are quite old and we cannot sleep there since the heater is not warm enough. then we have to share one bed room with 4 people. take bedsheets from the attic room and sleep on the floor instead

Very nice location! Friendly host, and nice cat. The price is very good for what you get. There is enough space in and around the house, and free parking. Good wifi.

The communication could have been better. had to be creative to find enough places to sleep for 8 persons.
