Reviewed May 7, 2026Lugar y paisaje privilegiado, cabañas full equipadas y la buena atención de los dueños. Nos esperaron con la cabaña bien calefaccionada, también destacar que el restaurante que tienen al lado es de buena calidad.
El acceso a la cabaña tenía barro. Pondría algún material para marcar el camino y así no estropear el césped

Reviewed Apr 28, 2026Место подойдёт, чтобы переночевать одну ночь, не более. Есть все первой необходимости , кухня со всеми принадлежностями , теплая вода, печка.
Нет штор!! Все окна без штор, ты будто рыба в аквариуме)) это отвратительное ощущение , никакой приватности , тетя видит каждая проезжающая машина, всегда ходила одетая полностью. На семью из 4 человек оставили одно маленькое полотенце)) даже не помыться. Маловато оставили дров для такой холодной ночи. Под утро дрова сгорели и мы замёрзли, бродили вокруг домика искали ещё что подбросить, чтоб не околеть. Двухэтажная кровать в одной из спален неудобная, нет поручней безопасности, можно упасть. На фото выглядит лучше, чем есть на самом деле. Вай фая в домике нет, есть только у рядом стоящего ресторана, к которому нам и предложили подключиться.

Reviewed Mar 24, 2026Wonderful location just a few Km N of Hornopiren where we taking the ferry to Lepetu the next morning. Nice warm wood stove, very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen. Easy access with owners brother on site.

Reviewed Feb 24, 2026Nice, spacious, well equipped cabin very few minutes of driving outside of town. Pre-arrival communication was great and helpful. Wladimir, who greeted us was friendly and gave very good recommendations. There is a a very good restaurant on the large grounds. We had dinner there on both of our days we stayed in Hornopiren and ate very well. Hornopiren is a simple and small town. We did not see any place where we would have preferred to stay or eat.
No WiFi in the cabin, only in the restaurant.

Reviewed Feb 10, 2026Beautiful cabin just a couple of minutes from town, surrounded in the back with the mountains. It is very well kept and has all you need. You have nice views of the gardens and a lot of space for kids to play. The terrace is very nice to sit outside if the weather allows it.
The living room has only a small 1 person sofa, besides the dining table and seats. Also the living/dining room could have some blinds to have some privacy at night.

Reviewed Jan 29, 2025The Cabaña is nice and cozy, the heating worked. The location is nice, but a bit further away from the center of Hornopirén, this means you need a car. Parking is easy.
There is no breakfast or dinner, you need to drive to Hornopirén. The check-in was not perfect. In Booking it is stated that you need to meet in Plaza de Armas, but via WhatsApp we got the information that we had to drive directly and it was difficult to understand that the person responsible for the checking was not at the entrance. You cannot pay by credit card, only cash or bank transfer. And there is no Wifi.

Reviewed Feb 13, 2024We have stayed at Bajo la Cruz del Sur and for us this place was all about the excellent and dedicated host, Ximena. The accommodations have been already reviewed few times and we leave that part to the other travellers. The local knowledge and the excellent recommendations by Ximena about the places to visit while staying in the area made a unique experience during what is our fourth trip to Patagonia. While the most famous hike in the area is sendero Sierra Nevada, we also suggest you not to miss the recommended short hike La Garganta del brujo. It is a short hike in a beautiful, unique setting and you really feel you are in a remote corner of Chile.

Reviewed Mar 1, 2023Quiet place outside of town. Convenient location if you are taking or arriving in the ferry as it is just a small detour (10-15min). The surrounding scenery is amazing. Warm and helpful welcome from the host. The cabin is tastefully decorated and has all the modern comforts you need when exploring a remote location.

Timing of ferry ftom Coleto Gonzalo. critical to catch early ferry 1;00pm . The 8pm ferry has you arriving After 1AM!
