Cabañas y Casa Kauken

David é muito gentil, atencioso e disponível, nos ajudou a encontrar uma guia para um trekking e emprestou bastões, oferecendo bastante apoio durante a estadia. A sauna particular foi especial, o espaço era muito limpo.

Achamos as cabanas muito rústicas pelo preço cobrado. O principal problema foi o aquecimento insuficiente. Não dormimos bem, e o banheiro e a área da sauna e do hot tub eram muito frios. Pelo preço, esperávamos mais conforto, aquecimento central, um café da manhã melhor e água de cortesia. A localização também não nos agradou: fica a 15 minutos de Puerto Natales, o acesso é ruim e é preciso retirar e recolocar uma corrente sempre que se entra ou sai, quando está chovendo não é muito cômodo. Além disso, o check-in foi extremamente longo, durou cerca de uma hora recebendo instruções detalhadas e cansativas, nos também recebemos mensagens demais por WhatsApp, o que foi cansativo. Me senti que estava indo em uma casa emprestada e tinha que ouvir todas as recomendações antes. Recomendo apenas para quem busca uma experiência bastante rústica. A atenção do David é excelente, mas a estrutura e o conforto não correspondem ao valor cobrado.

The Cabins are clean and cosy, with a magnificent view of the mountains. The hot tub was a welcome reprieve after a long day touring and the host, David, ensured that I was taken good care of - organising tours, transportation and advice for the duration of my stay.

Fue una experiencia inolvidable en este lugar mágico. Nunca olvidaremos esta estancia excepcional. Muchas gracias por habernos mostrado la Patagonia con tanta dedicación y amabilidad. La cabaña era extraordinariamente cómoda y el jacuzzi fue un detalle increíble. Gracias también por haber hecho todo lo posible para que nuestra estancia con nuestro pequeño de dos años fuera lo más cómoda y agradable posible. Throughout my stay, I felt safe and happy with my choice of accommodation, from the check-in with all the necessary information for my stay and booked excursions, to the daily updates and information. I felt very welcome and well taken care of, and I will miss ending each day with a sauna or a hot bath.

The chain to get in and leave the cabana was a bit annoying. Since the road is unpaved, getting out of the car meant getting your shoes covered in mud. If some kind of gate or electronic fence were installed, the comfort would be even greater in this regard.

Las cabañas tienen un nivel de detalle impresionante. En cara rincón se observa el gusto y el cariño con el David y Maria Luz llevan este pequeño paraiso. Ambos son unas encantadoras personas que nos ayudaron en todo momento y nos hicieron sentir como en casa Las cabañas son muy cómodas, limpias, confortables y la tinaja es increible perfecta para descansar después de una jornada en el parque nacional.

Pour le prix du séjour les produits du petit déjeuner auraient pu être de meilleure qualité avec de bons produits locaux. De plus, nous n’avons pas été informés que l’eau du robinet était potable. Des bouteilles d’eau facturées 2000 CLP ne sont donc pas nécessaires. Sinon tout était ok

Pasamos una estadía inolvidable en nuestra luna de miel. El lugar es un lujo total. El jacuzzi y la sauna, una maravilla de verdad inolvidables. El anfitrión, un siete: muy atento y acogedor, nos ayudó mucho cuando lo necesitamos. Se lo agradecemos de corazón. Ojalá volver en el futuro David!

Locatie is natuurlijk iets buiten de stad dus je bent afhankelijk van eigen vervoer of taxi. Er zijn afspraken met een aardige taxi chauffeuse dus dat maakte het heen en weer rijden erg makkelijk.

Es un alojamiento de lujo. Todo está pensado para una estancia totalmente disfrutable. Súper limpio, prolijo y con detalles de estilo en cada rincón. La tinaja hace la diferencia, es el broche de oro. El anfitrión está siempre atento, amable y facilita todo lo necesario. Muy recomendable.

The cabaña has incredible views, and is a beautiful and relaxing space. The sauna and spa are wonderful and the host, David, is very welcoming and helpful. He came and picked us up from the bus station at 22:30 after our bus was delayed!

L’accueil et les explications de David étaient impeccables. Il fait tout son possible pour rendre le séjour agréable et facile, aussi bien sur place qu’en amont du voyage via WhatsApp. Inès, notre taxi, est une femme pleine d’énergie et très agréable.

From the original reservation to checking out, David went out of his way to take care of us. Communication was a priority for him to ensure no questions went unanswered. The accommodations were excellent and we had everything we needed within the cabana. The hot tub and dry sauna worked great and were easy to operate. When it came to transportation, David provided us with an individual that we could consistently count on to provide a timely ride to and from our destination. We will have great memories of our stay and hope to return someday. If we do, it will definitely be at the Kauken cabanas. Thanks David and best wishes!

Me gustó mucho la atención de David, el anfitrión sabe del arte de la hospitalidad, actitud de servicio, compromiso, proactividad; desde que hice la reserva se contactó vía whatsaap, brindando información, manteniendo el contacto, yendo, su servicio, más alla de lo que tenia relacion estricta con el alojamiento para apoyarnos en información turistica, condiciones climáticas, lugares de comidas y hasta médica. Eso genera una sensacion de confianza muy valorada cuando se está en un país extranjero. Su atencion es una de esas , que de buenas, no las olvidas fácilmente. La casa es tal como se mostraba en fotografías, super amplia, cómoda, confortable, limpia, bonita, con buena luz y calorcito. Ubicada en un lugar de fácil aceso, con un amplio terreno, con el plus de la zona tranquila y silenciosa que ayuda a recuperar fuerzas por la noche. Perfecto para iniciar nuestra ruta hacia Parque Torres del Paine. En síntesis nos encontramos con un anfitrión con alma y un alojamiento genial.

The property was very clean, comfortable, rustic, warm, and cozy, with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains and landscapes. The location was also perfect — close to the town for quick and easy access, but also far enough away to make you feel like you’re out in the countryside. And the hot tub was the cherry on top. Internet speeds were also exceptionally fast.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

David was an absolutely wonderful host! The house was everything we needed after a long two days of travel and before we went and hiked the W trek. David was incredibly responsive and helped with whatever we needed. I would absolutely recommend Cabanas y Casa Kauken to anyone traveling to Puerto Natales.

super attention to detail and everything was impeccable - definitely rent a car, it’s worth it

The only problem with the site is its distance from the town, but the proprietor arranged service with two taxi drivers (we were six) who were available throughout our stay, also providing transport one day to and from one of the national parks. He also arranged a day tour to Torres del Paine with a wonderful bilingual driver/guide. There were even little Christmas and New Year gifts! Furthermore, he was able to help us out through direct contacts with the bank when an ATM failed to return my card, which might otherwise have been a bit of a disaster...

No problems really. The proprietor's English is limited, but four of our party were fluent in Spanish, and he was able to deal with my wife's limited and my negligible Spanish as needed. The distance from town made it necessary to take taxi trips back and forth for dining or shopping.

Tivemos uma estadia excelente na cabana. O lugar é muito confortável, completo e pensado com carinho nos detalhes. A sauna e a hot tub foram o ponto alto: perfeitas para relaxar e renovar as energias ao final do dia. Tudo estava limpo e funcionando perfeitamente. Um agradecimento especial ao Davi, pela hospitalidade e atenção — sempre disponível para nos atender prontamente e tornar nossa experiência ainda melhor. Recomendo de olhos fechados e com certeza voltaremos!

La cabane est originale, propre et bien entretenue. Les lits sont confortables et le spa est très agréable. L’accueil est chaleureux et la communication est très présente tout au long du séjour (peut-être parfois un peu trop), des bâtons de randonnée nous ont également été prêtés, ce que nous avons apprécié.

L’agencement n’est pas très pratique, avec la salle de bain et les toilettes situées dans une seule chambre, tandis que la cuisine se trouve dans l’autre. Le petit-déjeuner pour 4 personnes sur 2 jours était un peu léger et pas très varié. Il y avait également de nombreuses règles à respecter. Enfin, lors du check-out, l’hôte a vérifié devant nous la note laissée sur le papier (9/10) et nous a demandé de justifier le score, ce qui nous a pris au dépourvu. Même si nous avions donné la note maximale pour le logement, la propreté et l’accueil (4/4), le total était de 9/10 car toutes les catégories (ex: petit-déjeuner) n’étaient pas représentées. L’hôte a semblé surpris par ce calcul, ce qui a rendu le moment inconfortable.

We had a wonderful time. Everything was perfect, more than we could ever imagine. The sauna and jacuzzi were amazing. The bed was comfortable with a view to a glacier and the snowy mountains . Room was clean and had all the amenitiese we needed.

The place is amazing. The facilities are very well maintained and designed so that you can truly relax after intense days of traveling and trekking. The hot tub is a real luxury, especially after hiking all day; a pure pleasure. We would like to highlight and thank David, who cares a lot about his guests. The Chalet at Cabañas y Casa Kauken was a beautiful and comfortable place to host our group as we explored Torres del Paine! Everything was clean & cozy and David was a great & attentive host. Would definitely stay again!

The location is absolutely beautiful and David has a really charming rustic property. The Cabanas are very clean and have a lovely shower and hot tub and sauna, again, all very clean. It’s a perfect spot to be at after a log day of hike. David is very thorough with his communication and instructions and was very helpful in providing a contact for a ride into town and booking our hike to Torres del Paine.

If you have a car, that would be very helpful with access as you need a ride into town. It is pretty remote and it doesn’t have a supermarket or restaurant nearby and the property only has a microwave to heat up food. I would have preferred if there was a no breakfast option as the breakfast offered was cereal bars, processed cheese and ham and bread, packed orange juice, packed yogurt etc. a bit like a packed school lunch. We would have preferred something a bit more substantial or fresh produce.

From the owner’s communication of daily weather reports leading up to our stay so we can plan our national park hikes, to the super cozy environment of the Cabañas, woody smell of the room, comfy king-size bed, high-pressure hot shower, high-speed internet, food and beverages in the fridge with Tupperware to bring with us on hikes, beautiful views of the mountains, and, of course, the relaxing hot tub and sauna! So much thought and care was put into creating each detail in this home away from home.

The breakfast was modest - milk, bread, yogurt, fruit juice, coffee, tea, etc in a small refrigerator or on a table. There is no hot plate or stove, so everything needs to be heated using either the microwave or the hot water pot. But it was fine for me.

The hot tub and sauna were amazing, and the views were simply beautiful. We were a little out if town but David helped us with transportation when needed and recommended food delivery when required. Definitely worth the stay outside of Puerto Natales for the exceptional cabin views. Literally felt like we were on a spa retreat. Much welcomed hot tub at the end of busy days.

La cabaña, preciosa, luminosa, bien adornada y equipada, con cama muy comoda, amenities, television satelital y una vista privilegiada sin interrupciones, el desayuno espectacular, literalmente al lado de la cama, y la tinaja, un sueño, un verdadero lujo, temperatura mas que agradable, se calentaba muy rapido, y tenia preciosas vistas tambien, la atencion de David un 10, realmente uno de mis alojamientos favoritos en la patagonia.

Lugar hermoso, con una vista excepcional, camas super cómodas, regadera de primera, cocina de primera, todo en orden y limpio. Nuestra cabaña tenia una cocina con todo lo necesario para degustar un desayuno rico y sustancioso, además nos dejaron botellas de vino tinto, espumoso, refrescos, chocolates y demás, claro con un costo extra pero ya lo tienes ahí, no tienes que salir para nada, pero lo mejor de todo fué el Hot Tube, uffff maravilloso, fantástico, después de pasar el día en un exigente trekking, esto fué lo mejor, una tina grande de madera, con agua caliente y en invierno, fué lo mejor que nos pudo pasar.... Muchas felicidades por esta gran idea al sr David, además, un excelente anfitrión, espero regresar pronto, muchas gracias
