Reviewed Sep 19, 2026We had a great stay here. The room was clean and on the top floor, so it got quite warm, but it was just fine with the windows open at night. Having a sink in the room was a nice addition. There is also a pleasant area to sit outside. We could also book a parking space for our car, which was useful. Of course, it is a hostel, so people who see the pictures of the villa and assume that the interior will match the exterior will be disappointed, but then you'd pay quadruple the price. As far as hostels go, this one was a great choice!

Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Accueil toujours très sympathique pour cette deuxième réservation. Cadre architectural original, très propre, bon rapport qualité-prix. La chambre simple sous le toit est très zen, avec une belle vue.
La literie n'est pas excellente. Le petit-déjeuner n'est pas inoubliable. Bouchons d'oreilles indispensables à cause du train.

J’avais demandé une place de parking et on ne m’avait pas prévenue que ce n’était pas possible. Quand je suis repartie de l’emplacement que l’on m’avait conseillé à l’extérieur une voiture bouchait le passage.

Excellent location!! we basically walked out at night right into the center for anything we required. The hostel has basic amenities to warm food, refrigerator, socialising cozy spaces and lots of games on every floor's living room if that's what interests you as well.

Reviewed Sep 12, 2026A beautiful building in an interesting area. The rooms are OK, but the beds a little small. Handy to have a basin in the room, and the bathrooms are clean, if a little cramped. Breakfast is standard youth hostel menu, but good. The coffee is excellent! There are fridges to store your own food.
Shared Showers and toilets are a little cramped. The room was hot - it had a fan, but in very hot weather, these rooms would be quite uncomfortable. It is right next to a train track so be aware of the potential for noise if that might disturb your sleep.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Wir übernachten hier immer auf der Reise nach Italien. Die Atmosphäre ist freundlich und ungezwungen und draußen gibt es viele Möglichkeiten, sich aufzuhalten. Natürlich bietet eine Jugendherberge keinen Hotelkomfort, aber alles ist sehr sauber, vor allem die Gemeinschaftsduschen und WCs. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Tolle Lage am Fuss des Montebello-Schlosses (Unesco-Welterbe). Vom Bahnhof in 15 Minuten Spaziergang durch das historische Zentrum erreichbar. Blick aus dem Fenster meines Einzelzimmers direkt auf den grossen Garten, den Weinberg und die Schlossanlage. Die Mitarbeitenden am Empfang super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Garten ist tagsüber direkt zugänglich, konnte auch draussen frühstücken.

Nelle camere non era presente l'aria condizionata, hanno cercato comunque di otrimizzare con dei ventilatori, ma il caldo di questa stagione è veramente aggressivo. La stazione del treno merci ? h24 molto vicina può dare fastidio durante la notte.

Je n'ai pas apprécié la chambre, pas propre, du plâtre des plaques du plafond est tombé sur le lit et nos habits. La douche, le rideau trop petit, douches pour l'étage, j'avais demandé lit jumeau il y avait deux lits et pas confortable. J'ai l'impression d'avoir commandé avec petit déjeuner et rien en était. Et une amie nous a rejoint pour 3 nuits et à été mieux servie. Pas du tout contant, je ne recommande pas l'établissement.

While we had the luxury to have double rooms, the heat on that specific day combined with the rooms being on the last floor, made it necessary to have all night the windows open, regardless of the fan. While the locations is clos to the city, the train line is closer. It was definitely not a relaxing night. But ok

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026Die Unterkunft ist in kurzer Zeit vom Bahnhof zu erreichen und war für uns optimal, das Gebäude zumindest von aussen sehr schön. Die Mitarbeitenden waren sehr zuvorkommend! Das Zimmer war einfach, aber zum Glück mit einem Fan ausgestattet, was bei Temperaturen über 33 Grad sehr willkommen war.
Wie schon einige Personen vor mir muss ich sagen, dass das Zimmer nicht sauber war. Der Boden wurde definitiv nicht geputzt, was ich auch von einer einfachen Unterkunft erwarte, v.a. wenn sie über 127 CHF pro Nacht kostet! Die Einrichtung war sehr einfach, was kein Problem darstellt. Aber mit sehr wenig Aufwand könnte man noch mehr machen: Eine Halterung für Seife/Schampoo in der Dusche, ein funktionierender Haken im Bad sodass man ein Badetuch aufhängen kann etc.
