Reviewed Apr 25, 2026El hostel es muy lindo, bien ubicado (ni tan lejos del pueblo que sea incómodo ir caminando, ni tan cerca, con lo cual es muy pacífico y se ven bien las estrellas de noche); tiene 3 espacios comunes en distintos pisos, con variedad de libros para pasar el rato. La cocina está muy bien equipada para la cantidad de huéspedes. El desayuno, dentro de todo bien. El personal, super atento, amable y conocedor del lugar y las actividades disponibles. Destaco la amabilidad y calidez de los dueños. Definitivamente, volvería.

Reviewed Jan 24, 2026The hostel is nicely situated at a hillside. It looks a bit like a mountain refuge. Our "deluxe double room" room was OK, but the comfort minimal, e.g. no table and almost no place to stowe the suitcases or other equipment. Relation value for money is OK.
The breakfast was minimal, very spartan. Just a bit of bread, chease and cold cut, coffee. No eggs, no yoghurt, no fruit etc. I cannot understand how some guests can qualify their breakfast as good or excellent. TGhere was a backddor to the room that could no be locked, so that anybody could anytame enter the room and e.g. steel things during our absence for dinner. They charged us more than a month in advance in the wrong currency and reimbursed us later, bute this procedure was unnecesarily complicated.

- als wir kurz nach 14.00 Uhr einchecken wollten, war das Zimmer noch nicht bereit. Wir wollten einchecken vor unserer River Rafting Nachmittagstour. Wir durften das Gepäck aber dort lassen. - Es gab eine Türe nach draussen, welche 24 Stunden von aussen geöffnet werden konnte - keine Möglichkeit diese abzuschliessen. Da wir eine teure Kamera etc. bei uns hatten, war dies etwas negativ. Auch unser Gepäck war für andere zugänglich und während unserer Abwesenheit nicht eingeschlossen. Alles noch vorhanden :).

La piezas del tercer piso son muy limpias y confortables para descansar, pero chicas y calurosas. Dos de las tres tenían baño compartido y un poco incómodas pues el techo era inclinado.

Located just 15 minutes from the village, it offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, making it perfect for relaxing and stargazing at night. The atmosphere was great—social yet quiet, with a respectful silence after 11 PM. The staff was incredibly helpful, always ready with great recommendations for activities in the area. The breakfast was simple but good, and the entire place was kept very clean, with daily tidying. We especially loved the open common area, which felt spacious and inviting. The showers were also excellent—great water pressure and always warm. One thing to keep in mind is the location; while we loved the tranquility, some travelers might find the 15-minute distance from the village less convenient. Also, our room tended to get warm during the day, though it cooled down in the evening. A fan would have been a nice addition. Overall, this hostel is a great choice for those looking for a relaxing, clean, and well-managed place to stay in a beautiful setting. Would definitely recommend!

This place is great. The interior looks inspired by the Old Faithful Inn at Yellowstone. It’s a fantastic base to explore the area and a really nice place to be if/when bad weather rolls in.

Bathroom door lock should be fixed. Could use fans for them hot days.

Hostel is a bit outside the city. So not comfortable to get there without a car. Lots of stairs to get to room. Bathroom was outside the room. Breakfast was a joke. Only toast and some cheese. No soaps or shampoo. Not really friendly for families. People complained that our kids are too loud while they were talking till late at night.

Reviewed Jan 27, 2024This place instantly feels like home - we were gutted we only had a short time staying there. The owner and all of the staff are super friendly and had loads of recommendations. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is a great touch in the morning before a long day of walking. I loved all the small areas dotted around the house to chill out and look at the view/read a book/ do some yoga. This is a must stay if you are in the area!

We didn't realise there was no lock on the door (there was a loop to attach a padlock, but we didn't bring one) but Futa is a tiny town and felt really safe, so it wasn't an issue

As building is wooden and open, noise tends to travel and noise cut-off is 11.30pm so wouldn’t recommend if you are noise sensitive or prefer early nights. However rooms are cosy and comfortable so we didn’t really notice!

Cold water both times we took a shower. Pillows were in bad shape. Very noisy at night.
