Reviewed Sep 5, 2026The location was really good: close to the bus stop from other cities and close to the stop of Trolltunga Shutlle. The hostel is well-equipped, you can find anything you need in the kitchen. The bathroom was also good. The check-in process was easy and understable. It's a good place to stay for 1-2 night for reasonable price in Odda and to hike Trolltunga and Buarbreen.
Hostel is hostel, so I prefered this type of accomadation only because of very high hotel/apartment prices in Odda for a lonely traveller. So you live with 11 other people in the room (when I was there there were less, so there were no queues to the bathroom). But for hostel it's a pretty good accommodation.

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Bardzo blisko dworca PKS i sklepów. Jest kawa i cherbata i w pełni wyposażona kuchnia. Czysto i ręczniki w łazience.
Mały minusik za brak zasłon przy łużkach i przydała by się lampka przy łuzku.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Byłam miło zaskoczona warunkami panującymi w pokoju, bardzo dobre warunki , czysto, codziennie było sprzątane, dostawałeś też świeże ręczniki. Każdy posiadał zamykaną szafkę, co było super sprawą. Dostępna była również druga łazienka na pietrze.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026地点不错，离汽车站很近，步行距离，去恶魔之舌方便，有厨房可以做饭，附近有超市，洗澡间有两个，不算拥挤，卫生良好，床铺也舒服，没有看到工作人员，入住退房都是自助，入住期间有分配一个带锁的小柜子，寄存行李要租柜子。
住的床位是男女混合，但床位没有拉帘，比较不方便，但早出晚归问题不算太大。

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026de slaapzaal was erg druk (12 slaapplaatsen kort bij elkaar) , geen plaats voor persoonlijke spullen heel veel bedden op kleine plaats, de stapelbedden waren niet stabiel en maakten bij elke beweging geluid.
meer ruimte voor elke persoon, wij hadden meer bij dan een klein rugzakje, de badkamer was steeds bezet, wegens wc en douche in zelfde ruimte, als je naar tweede badkamer moest liep je langs de voordeur van de pizzeria...

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026とにかく設備が優秀。シャワーやトイレも綺麗でドライヤーもついている。また、ロッカーもあるし、チェックインとチェックアウトの日も荷物をおいておける。ドライヤールームでは濡れた服や、荷物を無料でおける。非常に助かりました。
トイレとシャワーの部屋が二つしかなく、基本埋まっているのでなかなか空いた時を狙うのが難しいことと、他の人の口コミでは洗濯機ができるとあったが、洗濯機がどこかわからなかったこと。

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026We were able to park which was a bonus. Shops, eateries, bars and the waterfront were in very close proximity. The location was quiet for sleeping.
The kitchen is small and has no window, and on our second night , as some occupants were preparing multiple meals for that evening and the day ahead, we waited until past our desired bed time to get access. By then the room was horrifically hot and smelly and not nice to be in. Apart from that the kitchen was well organised. I had not read every detail possible about the place before arriving as I assumed there would be a receptionist. I was unaware of the drying room and second bathroom until after my stay. It would have been nice to know about those!

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Another exceptionally clean hostel! It was a pretty large bunk room with only 2 bathrooms, but even then the bathrooms were huge and always so clean! Perfectly equipped kitchen and lounge area in the main hostel room. Was a lovely little place, very easy to find, right in the heart of Odda and so close to everything you need. Even had parking out the back and a drying room for wet gear. Would stay again!
The bunk beds were a little rickety, so every time the person on the top bunk rolled over it would move the whole bed frame including the bottom bunk. That being said the beds were super clean and comfy and this was a very minor inconvenience, did not impact my sleep much at all!

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026날씨때문에 숙박이 임박했던 때에 변경을 요청했는데 매우 빠르게 처리해줬다. 12명 도미토리 숙박객이 거의 대부분 트롤퉁가를 위해 와서 그런지 다들 조용했고, 샤워실 하나였지만 전혀 밀리거나 대기하거나 하는 것도 없음. 공용주방이 좀 작지만 눈치껏 쓰면 되고 나는 빵이나 사먹는 정도였지만 요리하는 애들도 좀 있었음. 암막커튼 잘 되어있고 다들 조용해서 트롤퉁가 가기 전 충분히 잘 자고 갈 수 있었다. 베드도 청결하고 충전하기도 편하고 쉴 소파도 있고 위치도 좋아서 오따터미널도 가깝고 오따택시스테이션도 가깝다. 매우 만족스러움.

어떤 리뷰에서는 세탁이 가능하다고 했지만 시설 안내가 없었고 찾아볼수없었다. 그리고 침대가 너무 삐그덕 거려서 아쉬웠다.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026The dormitory is what you would expect with alot of noise in one room of 12-beds. The place was basic and we just needed it for a bed and a shower.
The dormitory was loud and you were fighting to take a shower because there were only 2 for 12 people. Quiet hour wasn't really enforced by anyone. I didnt get much rest here. Bring ear plugs and an eye mask!

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026This was a great value, especially given the limited and often expensive options in Odda. The dormitory is mixed gender and has 12 beds (6 bunk beds), so there are quite a few people in the room, but the atmosphere was quiet and respectful. The dormitory has a lights-out by 10pm rule to accommodate earlier risers for the Trolltunga hike (like myself), and so I also wasn't the only one getting out of bed super early. The kitchen was well stocked, with designated fridge space for each bunk, and there were also laundry machines available. Everything was clean and tidy.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026As usual, it’s the people, a lot were loud unnecessarily when trying to sleep and using 1 specifically used the toilet for more than an hour. The guy sharing the too bed with me was squirming all day long which made it uneasy to sleep while trying to get rest before trolltunga hike in the morning. I know it’s expected in a hostel but no one respected the quiet hours policy at all which was frustrating.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026Blue House Odda is less than 5 mins walk from the bus terminal and in the middle of everything. Its such a convenient hostel - so busy yet so quiet. Kitchen is well stocked. 2 Bathrooms one inside the room and one upstairs. Even with 12 fully occupied room, this did not have any trouble. There is a separate drying room and place to keep shoes and wet clothes as Odda is known for its rain. With all the hikers inside the hostel, this is a such a well planned thought and hence this keeps the room so clean. Hostel is well designed - Black curtains to really shut that light out if needed. Inside the room there is nook and corner for the guests to rest well.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026Free parking (3 spots available if the cars are parked correctly). Everything is new and fairly clean for a dormitory.
The kitchen is in the dorm and fairly small (6 people at most) compared to the number of beds. Also, there is only one bathroom (with the toilet and shower) for the whole dorm (12 beds). So if someone is taking a shower or use the toilet you have to wait. Otherwise, you have to go upstairs. Quite noisy between the kitchen, bathroom, people coming in/out of the dorm at night and the windows facing the parking lot.

W obu jest tylko jeden prysznic i toaleta. Na 12 osób (bo łącznie tyle może być w jednym czasie w pokoju) jest to trochę mało. Poza tym wszystko super 🙌🏻

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026Small dormitory that beds maybe a dozen or so people with double decker cots. Beds were pretty standard but the layout is comfortable with a good amount of room for everyone plus a shared seating space. Bathrooms were surprisingly nice though with only two of them, one being on another level from the dorm room, I could see there being a wait to use them. Restaurant next to the entrance was also very good.
Its a shared dorm with all the pro and con you'd expect. No matter how cozy the cot when the person two beds over snores it can be a pain. But thats all just part of the hostel experience and in that respect this place was very nice.
