Reviewed Aug 13, 2026I stayed here due to an upcoming typhoon. I like the location of the hostel, close to a supermarket and has a kitchen with proper cooking equipment. The hostel has a cosy shared living room where it is possible to chat with other guests.
Sleeping in a dorm room is always a challenge. I had the misfortune of a snoring guest, and he also used his headlamp a lot during the night, which affected my sleep. But this is not something that the hostel can do anything about.

Reviewed Jun 2, 2026SOFT PILLOWS AND SOFT BED OMG!!!! So hard to find a truly comfortable bed in this area but this is it friends. Also Rio is awesome, super chill and kind guy. Also super interesting. Lots of space and areas to chill out. Kitchen, bath, shower, fridge all that. Great place. Oh also rentable bikes, clothes washer, all the essentials basically
4000 yen is a little out of my budget though it’s definitely worth it.

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026宇和島駅から徒歩5分かからず、大型スーパーやかどや本店が近隣にあり立地は最高。 宿泊した女性限定ドミトリーは清潔感があり、ボタン押下式のセキュリティドアが設置されていて申し分なかった。
一戸建てを改装したゲストハウスのため、共有スペースのリビングやキッチンは個人利用には適しておらず、 パーソナルスペースを確保しずらいオープンな作りになっていたため利用しなかった。 また共有スペースは掃除が行き届いていない箇所が目立った。

Reviewed May 28, 2026Breakfast was great! Staff (Reo, I think his name was) was friendly and helpful. Beds and bedroom were clean and comfortable. Location is great in the centre of Uwajima, within walking distance to basically everything. The station is right there. The room I stayed in was a beautiful, with a quaint, Japanese vibe.
The only negative was communication before I got there. I messaged the morning of my trip to ask something and never got a reply. There was no one at the desk when I got to the hostel, so I just took my stuff with me to the other places I wanted to see. I only booked the night before, though, so it was a little last minute.

We tried to check in early and couldn't which was fine but then had to call the proprietor after waiting to get him to come over to check us in.

Reviewed May 6, 2026It was a clean hostel with adequate room space in the men's dorm and common areas. I liked that they had a garage to store my bicycle in. Kitchen had a good selection of dishes, pots etc.
Cost of $5000 yen per night for the level of this hostel was too much. One shower, 2 sinks, 2 toilets for 10+ guests. I do not know maximum for the hostel. Common room was a mish mash of chairs. Dining table was built for bar stools but had regular chairs to eat from so table was quite high. Men's upper bunks had thin curtains that light shone through. Bottom bunks had blackout curtains. Current construction of upper beds could not support heavier curtains. Bed lights were cheap and dim. For the price I expected better.

四国のこの辺りは公共交通機関が充実していません。一本電車を逃すと大変待たされ、予定も狂います。当日、チェックインが10分程度遅れただけで、1人2,500円、合計5,000円のレイトチェックイン料金を追加で支払わされました。また、ルールに従わなければ2万円請求するとかの脅し文句が、何かにつけてお金を取ろうとする宿という印象で、大変不愉快でした。

Reviewed Mar 22, 2026Host was very hospitable. I loved the cozy spaces and atmosphere. I was very grateful to rent a bicycle from the guesthouse, it was so helpful to explore the town. Breakfast was great for a bit extra and they were very accommodating of my dietary needs. Good recommendations for restaurants and a nice local onsen.

到着した際、お店の方との連絡が取れなくチェックインが遅くなりました。 唯一残念でした。 駐車場、入口の鍵の番号など事前に知らせてくれていればと思いました。

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Wonderful owners who are kind and helpful. The property is very clean and is renovated with modern conveniences. Hostel provides towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. I had a great shower. I had my own private Japanese room with AC. Easy walking distance to restaurants and supermarket. Also, the owner host cooked me a free breakfast of rice, raw egg, yogurt, and juice which was wonderful for my bicycle tour of Shikoku. This hostel is a definite jewel of hostel stays. I highly recommend this property for your future stay!!!

Reviewed Jan 18, 2026宇和島駅から４００メートルぐらい。スーパーや、銭湯、居酒屋も近くに適度に有って、快適です。ドミトリーも比較的広く、荷物が置きやすくて、宿でくつろぐも良し外で遊ぶも良しの条件地です。連絡不足でチェックインまで不安でしたので事前に連絡しっかりしとくのがお勧めです。

特に悪かった点ではないが、人が常駐していないので荷物を送る際は詳細を早いうちからやり取りしていないと受け取れない事がある。

Reviewed Nov 13, 2025ロケーションが良い！ キッチンや広いリビングが使い勝手や居心地が良く、お布団も快適でした。すぐ近くの銭湯も、良心的で良かったです。 お風呂は使わなかったのですが、シャンプーバーがあって、バスタオルも100 円で借りられるようになってました。
ドアの開閉が、バターンと大きな音のするところがあります。他のお客様に迷惑をかけないようにしたかったのですが、何度か失敗してしまいました。 あと、チェックインの時間に入れなくてとても心配したので、遅れる場合は連絡をしてもらえたら良かったです。
