Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Vriendelijke gastheer en de faciliteiten waren goed! Ook de gedeelde ruimtes waren erg gezellig en het ontbijt was top!
Op de kamers waren de stopcontacten niet bepaald bereikbaar voor iedereen en er is alleen 1 grote lamp, geen verlichting of afscherming bij je eigen bed.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2026Ben Lettery Hostel has its own vibe. The guy at reception is really friendly and fun. There's a laundry service available for a fair price, but since I only needed a pair of socks washed and dried, he was able to take care of that for me for free (thanks!). The common area is comfortable and warm, and a simple but enjoyable breakfast is available in the morning, in the kitchen (which also has everything you need to prepare some meals). The shower cabinets could have more hangers or places to put clothes, towels, etc., but they were good enough. The rooms are a bit cramped, but for the price, this place is awesome!

La promiscuité avec le parking ..et le lit qui étaient malheureusement trop petit ( nous faisons 1m70 et 90 ..)

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026I loved the rural location, the cabin was brand new I think and absolutely immaculate. The staff were great, so warm and chatty. I loved the cosy little living room with the fire. The flapjacks at breakfast were 10/10. I can't wait to come back!
The WiFi didn't work in my cabin but a blessing in disguise to disconnect for a bit. A bit loud because of the road, but easily solved with the complimentary ear plugs.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Das Hostel hat meine Erwartungen erfüllt, die Lage ist gut für viele Aktivitäten in der Region. Die Küche ist praktisch und es gab sogar Frühstück. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.
Das Zimmer roch ein bisschen feucht, das Haus ist aber auch alt. Die Zimmer sind außerdem recht hellhörig.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026I stayed eight days (writing). The price is one of the best. The kitchen was huge with everything needed. Wonderful staff, very clean. I would go again and spend a month...great location for hikers and bicyclists. Clifden is a cute little town with good groceries 10k away
It was closer to the highway than I expected. I had a car so it's location was not a problem for me, but for others the.bus wasn't too far. But I think it being near the highway was disappointing but I'd stay again for sure. The midgies came out in the evening tho they said it wasn't always. It was extra warm while there so maybe mating season 🤪

Rapport prestation prix exagéré pour des tentes à mon sens. Elles sont plantées sur le parking et en bord de route: très bruyant. le froid la nuit: couettes peu chaudes et surtout très courtes, donc pas adaptées (venir avec son duvet!). Un seul toilette/sdb pour 3 tentes (limite mais ça passe car sanitaires dispo à l'intérieur à partager avec les résidents chambres et dortoirs). Le côté "à la cool" de l'auberge de jeunesse associé au côté logement insolite ne colle pas (enfin tout dépend du tarif...). l'impression de subir un filon rentable pas très assumé. Le petit dej inclus assez entrée de gamme ne compense pas trop.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2026Sleeping in a tent was a nice adventure, the tent was cosy and fully equipped. Close to the road but traffic at night is close to zero. Nice location in the hills of Connemara close enough to the main attractions of the region.
No power or light inside the tent (though a big power bank is supplied to charge usb devices).

There were a few cobwebs and spiders in the room around the ceiling but given the surroundings, it's understandable but could do with a regular wipe. My only fault really, was that there is emergency lighting in the room by the door, that has a constant green light on it. This is very bright when you're trying to sleep, lights up the room.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026El alojamiento se encuentra ubicado en un lugar ideal, entre montañas y un lago enfrente. Además ofrecen por las mañanas leche, café, te, pan y algún dulce.
Dormimos en una cabaña, lo cual es un poco aventura cuando vas en familia, pero siendo 22 de agosto pasamos los tres frío por la noche.

Très bruyant (les résidents sont restés tard a discuter fort sous la fenêtre de la chambre). Pas de rideaux/lumière individuelle au niveau des lits. Il faisait très chaud dans les chambres, a la limite du supportable. Nous avons mal dormi.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026Bon emplacement central et pas trop loin de la Ville. Cuisine très bien équipée Bonne litterie et sanitaires très propres. Café et thé a disposition toute la journée. Vue sur les montages d'un côté et sur le lac de l'autre Wifi gratuit
Le petit déjeuner : le pain maison et le gâteau sont très bons mais le premier matin il n'y avait que ça, avec quelques flocons d'avoine. C'était un peu court. Le deuxième matin c'était un peu mieux, à 8h15, il restait un yaourt et des céréales soufflées au chocolat.
