non funzionava il condizionatore ed era molto caldo anche tenendo le finestre aperte, oltre che rumoroso. Volevamo farci un the, ma non c'era accendino per accendere il gas, così abbiamo dovuto lasciar perdere

Hôte accueillant et avenant, aux petits soins (ventilateur, patisseries, recommandation de chauffeur privé). A deux pas d'une belle balade vers le chateau qui domine la colline. Petit déjeuner qui change de l'ordinaire (beignet).

Chambre donnant sur la rue principale (bruyante = vive les quies). Il y a des coupures d'eau régulière dans cette zone désertique, mais ils sont préparer avec plein de bouteilles d'eau en cas d'urgence.

sporchissimo tutto, camere fatiscenti, non vi era acqua corrente al nostro arrivo e perciò abbiamo fatto la doccia con le bottiglie. I bagni indecenti e la cucina intoccabile

Ragazzo della reception molto gentile. Ci ha dato allo stesso prezzo una camera di livello superiore e nonostante la festa in corso dove tutti i negozi erano chiusi si è adoperato per fornirci qualcosa da mangiare per colazione.

Hi ha molts desnivells al terra i li falta manteniment, a la dutxa per exemple li falta la “carxofa”

Il y a peu d'offres de logements petit prix à Tataouine aussi l'auberge est une bonne alternative. L'hôte est réceptif et sympathique. L'emplacement central est très bien pour circuler à pieds et rejoindre les nombreux restaurants de rue.

L'auberge devrait faire un effort pour améliorer l'agencement intérieur .

Stickiges Zimmer ohne Fenster nach aussen, uralte Metall Federkern Matratze. Sehr warm und ungemütlich.

No es recomendable en absoluto , ni siquiera se puede calificar como básico.

Muy sucio ,el baño con poco aseo,la tapa del wc suelta, el espejo sin limpiar,la habitación con polvo . En los espacios comunes los folletos con polvos y muebles descuidados.

El personal és molt amable i simpàtic. Està molt ben situat i cèntric. L’esmorzar correcte.

En general no està gaire net ni endreçat. L’aigua calenta de la nostra habitació privada no funcionava i ens vam dutxar en les dutxes comunes. Cal neteja i manteniment.

Lugar muy agradable para pasar unos días en Tataouine. Tiene todo lo que necesitas para sentirte cómodo y sin duda lo mejor es su personal. Yassin se convirtió en un gran amigo y me proporcionó todo lo que estuvo en su mano para que tuviera una buena estancia. Se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo.

I had a great time at the auberge, just for 1 night. Yassin was very helpful, we had coffee together and he helped me store my bicycle. The place is very open and clean, and from the balcony you can see the souk. I had a dorm for myself and the kitchen was also fine to use. It was a very good standard and the people were very nice 🙂

The only thing missing to get a perfect score is WiFi was not working, and the breakfast was too late for me

I have been traveling in Tunisia for a while, and Yassine is by far one of the most wonderful, kind, generous, and welcoming hosts I have ever met. He is always smiling, caring, and genuinely attentive to his guests, and the whole place is filled with good vibes thanks to his hospitality. Even though I stayed in a dorm, everything was very clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The hostel is located right in the city center, near the souk, and there is also a nice balcony. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel at ease and almost don’t want to leave, even though it’s not meant to be a luxurious place. What made the experience truly special was that I stayed during Ramadan. Every evening, Yassine waited for us so we could break the fast together, and he generously shared delicious homemade meals with the guests. It was a beautiful and heartfelt gesture that made the stay even more memorable. We also had very meaningful conversations with him during our time there. For me, it is the ideal type of hostel: very quiet at night, yet still social, where you can meet friendly and open-minded travelers if you wish. The price is also very affordable compared to other places in Tataouine, and they also offer private rooms. I am truly grateful to have met someone like Yassine. I recommend this place a million percent.

Spent some wonderful days here! Especially Yessin, the host is really nice and helpful! There’s a shared kitchen, a terrace, where you can meet other guests and also a living room. Beds are comfy. Would recommend it for backpackers, who want to explore Tatouine and the area around. Yessine can you provide recommendations for both and even organise a tour.

The overall of the hotel gives a very good vibe. The breakfast is different for 2 days. The owner, Majid absolutely one of the kindest man I’ve ever met. A very decent man and friendly to guests. I had great conversations with him that I learnt a thing or two about the culture.

The dust and sand. Since all the windows are opened 24/7, the dust and sand gets into the hotel a lot. Maybe Majid needs to remove air conditioning or specify is extra charges if needs air conditioning. I, personally don’t sleep with air conditioning but on the listing, it stated the price includes air conditioning that can mislead guests understanding. Maybe allow guests to choose whether breakfast is included on the room rate or not.

Es un establecimiento muy económico pero sin ningún encanto y con los servicios muy justos. Lo recomiendo para presupuestos reducidos.

La amabilidad del recepcionista y la ubicación ya que estaba cerca de los louages para salir a visitar los ksars de la zona y del zoco.

No me gustó que al momento de reservar dijera que incluía aire acondicionado, pero que al momento de llegar allá me cobrara 3 euros extras por día por ella. Es poco dinero, pero las reglas debiesen establecerse desde el inicio.

The location was excellent. We were just passing through on our way to Douiret so it was as we expected for the price. It is only a few blocks from the local louage. The proprietor was very friendly, spoke good English and had many helpful suggestions. Breakfast was good.

For the price, we can’t complain, and the proprietor makes up for the lumpy bed and pillows.

The owner has a list of taxi drivers who will take you on a tour of all the local sites. Good value at 50€ for a 5/6 hour day especially if you can share the taxi

Breakfast was very poor. Stale bread, one tiny tub of jam and one cup of black tea. A brief 5 minute experience. Quite appropriate that i had a broken plastic chair and a view over the rubbish strewn roof of neighbouring building while i was eating. Supposedly there was a 'communal kitchen but this consisted of an antique 2 ring heater and no fridge to store any perishable goods. I had opted for a room with private bathroom but neither towels or toilet paper were supplied.

Central location next to the souk. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Quiet internal room with window facing communal area. Basic breakfast with tea. Chilly at night in January but hot shower. Very helpful owner offering advice on local louage to ksars or will arrange taxi. A 10 mins shared taxi ride to the long-distance louage and bus stations.

Very good price in the center of tataouine. Not super clean rooms. There is a little kitchen but not very well equipped. The personal is nice

The staff are very hospitable. The breakfast is good and bed was clean. The location is close to the shared transportation to chenini and other villages. The price is good.

Remember it is a budget hostel. Therefore dont expect nice pillows or madrasses. The water in the shared bathroom also didn't run in the morning, but the staff did supply water in form of bottles.

It was cold. as no heating but we were given lots of blankets. It was basic but clean and comfortable and ideal for a night's stopover.

The host is so nice, helps to plan you the trip, he wants to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Amazing breakfasts!

The hostel is suitable for one or 2 night stay. The location is in the center.

The louage station near the hostel is the one that serves nearby villages ONLY. If you arrive by louage from other towns, you will be dropped off 2.5 km away from the centre at the border of the town. It is really far from the hostel. Beware of taxi drivers offering their services. It is very difficult to find the hostel. There are no house numbers, people around do not know anything about it. The room is not closed during the day. No lockers. Anybody might be able to get in. You get the key to the room late in the evening when the owner runs into the room without knocking and you might be sleeping already. The hostel has a kitchen. Forget it if you do not carry own pot, cutlery etc. It is horrible. The breakfast is passable if you are very hungry. The owner is full of smile, but do not expect any real useful information from him. You need to sort out any issues yourself. Internet is extremely slow. If you have your own rent a car, it is a passable cheap accommodation.

Great location in the centre of town with easy access to everything required. The hostel has good areas to relax. The owner is very chilled and can help with any issues you may have. Breakfast is adequate considering the price, and is all I felt like eating in the heat! The cold shower was great!

If you really want to enjoy your stay, don't come here and stay in a dorm in the middle of summer with no AC. I survived with a fan...just!

There was no AC although it was advertised as having AC. Since my room was facing a busy street I had to close the window and it was too hot. Finally, they provided a fan. The bathroom was terrible, only cold water and nothing to hang the ridiculous shower. There was no seat on the toilet. One of my worst Booking.com experience.

Well located in the center with the proximity louage station and places to eat around the corner. The staff is very welcoming and keen to deliver advice on how to visit the places of interest. For me, the breakfast is alright.

Very friendly hostel. Simple, but clean and comfortable. Kitchen available. I was there during Ramadan. As we didn‘t have food with us, and restaurants were closed at night, the host was so generous to share his own dinner with us.

The two managers are a great source of tips and information. I really enjoyed meeting other travellers here. I slept very well here and the croissant provided at breakfast was good. I liked having breakfast or just sitting on the balcony overlooking the busy market. Staff are very nice, helpful and top notch guys. Central location.

No toilet seats? Older building. Difficult to say anything negative about these great managers though.

If you read review about water shortage, it's probably because the city has water piping installation project and it's only for couple hours/day. By the time you read this review, the water shortage becomes irrelevant.
