Backpacker's Hill Resort

Bardzo klimatyczne miejsce, domki są w środku bardzo czyste, można wynająć skuter, a obsługa jest bardzo miła i pomocna, śniadania są proste ale pyszne, polecam!

La gentillesse du personnel. Elle nous a prepare le dernier soir un repas avec des ingrédients que nous lui avons ramenés. Prêt d un blender. Soin apporté aux extérieurs.

La situation très difficile d accès. Le chauffeur nous a demandé une rallonge car ce n etait pas "au centre". En scooter très difficile. Moyennement propre.

El desayuno bien y la familia era agradable

la familia es agradable, pero las condiciones del hostal son tercermundistas, las cabañas no están protegidas del exterior, tiene agujeros por todos sitios. Si ge gustan los animales salvajes, es tu lugar! Hay insectos, sapos, cucarachas, gatos… En el interior de las cabañas hay bichos de todo tipo, en nuestro caso, la primera noche encontramos cucarachas y gusanos, y en la segunda y última noche se escuchaban ruidos extraños ya que había una RATA GIGANTE en el techo, y la única solución que nos dieron fue dejar la luz del baño encendida para que se fuera (teniendo en cuenta que la electricidad se va a las 4:00 hasta las 12:00). Ademas, el ventilador se apaga y el calor es insoportable y no se puede respirar bien dentro de la mosquitera. el desayuno estaba bien y han sido amables, no lo recomiendo si no estas acostumbrado a la vida salvaje

El personal y la limpieza

No había luz desde las 4 hasta las 12h, ni tampoco agua caliente. La ubicación está un poco lejos y el acceso no es fácil

Best place I have stayed in Palawan. Highly recommend, good location, friendly staff helps with everything from tours to brand new motorbike. Deffo coming back!

À 5min en scooter/Tuk Tuk du centre, ce petit coin de verdure a été un veritable coup de cœur. Que ça soit la cabane, l’espace commun ou la générosité de Jérôme, j’ai vraiment apprécié mon séjour ici avec eux. Car oui, je me suis sentie comme en famille, jusqu’à même dormir avec la petite minette Magna qui est adorable. C’est un sans faute pour cet endroit au rapport qualité prix dingue. La générosité de cette famille a largement contribué à rendre mon séjour exceptionnel, merci 🙏🏽

Nous avons eu 1 heure sans électricité à 20h pendant notre douche . Pas de moustiquaire sur le lit et vu l’emplacement en pleine forêt ça n’aurait pas été de trop.. J’ai trouvé ça dommage car nous sommes arrivée à 14h30 pour demander à louer un scooter et il nous a été facturé au même tarif que si nous l’avions loué toute la journée un petit geste aurait été sympa sachant que le jour d’après nous avons encore loué une journée un scooter en passant par eux.. Je ne mange pas d’œuf je l’ai signalé lors des petits déjeuné et j’aurais pensé qu’on m’aurait proposé à la place une banane en remplacement ce n’était pas obligatoire de leur part mais le geste aurait été vraiment apprécié

We werden hartelijk ontvangen en hebben genoten van ons verblijf hier. De hutten zijn basic maar we vonden dit net een leuke sfeer geven middenin de natuur! We hielden van de rust die er heerst. De bbq op onze laatste avond was onvergetelijk. Dankjewel voor jullie gastvrijheid 🥰

Todas las personas que nos atendieron fueron súper atentos y serviciales, haciéndonos sentir como uno más del lugar. También nos ofrecieron un island hoping que fue maravilloso. Completamente recomendable quedarse con ellos si viajas a Port Barton.

Lo staff è stato molto gentile e disponibile a qualunque ora e per qualsiasi necessità. Molto bello il villaggio immerso nella natura, la colazione era buona ed avevano anche una piccola palestra all’aperto

Oltre a qualche gallo, un po’ di rumore fastidioso dato dal generatore che avevamo in parte alla camera. Vi consiglio vivamente i tappi per le orecchie

No tenia aigua calenta. I vam agafar dues nits i a la segona nit ens van canviar d'habitació (també és cert que vam agafar les its per separat perquè priemr pensavem que ens quedariem una nit i ens vam acabar quedant dues i tot i tenir-ho reservat amb setmanes d'antel.lació ens van canviar d'habitació, però entenc que tampoc era culpa d'ells si ja tenien altres reserves).

Norma und Jerome sind sehr herzliche Gastgeber und kümmern sich um alle Anliegen. Wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Die Anlage ist richtig schön gepflegt und das Wlan im Gemeinschaftsbereich sehr gut. Tolle Terrasse beim Bungalow mitten im Grünen. Preis Leistung passt sehr gut. Ca. 10 min zu Fuß in die Stadt hinein.

Der Generator unten an der Straße, der die ganze Stadt mit Strom versorgt ist seeeeehr laut. Unser Bungalow war genau in der Luftlinie des Generators, ohne Ohropax kann man hier nicht schlafen. Der Bungalow könnte um eine Spur größer sein, viel Platz für 2 Personen ist leider nicht.

El entorno es idílico, plena naturaleza súper tranquilo. Los dueños muy amables, nos dejaron incluso ducharnos al volver del tour varias horas después del check out. Muy barato y paisaje top, quizás la mejor vista de estrellas de mi vida por la noche. El pueblo a 10 min caminando (paseo agradable). Además nos contactaron con un conductor privado el cual recomiendo Sunny. Puedes reservar el tour A allí mismo muy barato unos 1500 pesos y está brutal

Cadre très agréable, et logement charmant. Hôtes disponibles et très gentils :)

C’est un Resort avec du charme, loin du passage. Cependant il n’y a pas d’eau chaude, pas de gel douche et il faut payer l’eau potable pas fraîche (sous 34 degré une eau bien fraîche serait appréciable) même si ce n’est que 10 pesos 1L… De plus le Resort se trouve à 15 min des lieux animés, ce n’est pas 15 min de plat attendez vous à des pentes et à marcher sur la route.

L'hôtel est très agréable, le personnel accueillant et les chambres correspondent à la description. Petit plus pour l'emplacement un peu à l'écart de la ville mais à distance de marche raisonnable.

Les infrastructures locales ne permettent pas toujours un débit d'eau suffisant et il nous est arrivé d'avoir une coupure de courant pendant quelques heures.

umidità e freddo fuori dal comune. decisamente fuori mano. non raggiungibile con macchina, pulmino o tuc tuc.. il bagaglio va trasportato per 300 mt su sterrato in salita e poi discesa. personale poco ospitale ed accomodante. nonostante gli accordi non hanno preparato la colazione per il mio gruppo. wifi solo nelle abitazioni vicino al bar.

Very comfortable and good value for money. Staff are fantastic and really friendly. It's on the outskirts of town (walk to beach is about 15 minutes) so a little bit quieter at night, which was nice

The little houses were a bit further from the centrel of the village- 15minutes walk, was good to chill. It was a simple experience to get to have an idea how people live around there, no hot water, bamboo houses, felt like you sleep outside a bit. Jerom and Norma were extremly kind and helpful! Norma made tea for bad tummy to make us feel better, Jerom helped to book tour A, which was amazing!! Highly recomended when you get to Port Barton!

A littel bit noisy because of a generator or something making noise all day and night, but i think it’s for the electricity so necesarry

Calme, personnel agréable, jolies cabanes. Possibilité de voir avec Jérôme pour louer un scooter, organiser du Island Hopping et les transferts vers Puerto Princesa.

Nous avions réservé un transfert privé vers El Nido mais ça n’a pas été fait convenablement. Le transfert n’était pas réservé et au final, nous avons dû payer 1000 pesos de plus par rapport au prix annoncé.

The family who run backpackers hill are so kind and helpful! They really made the place special. You get breakfast and coffee included in the price which is pretty great for the price you pay. 20 minute walk to the town. You can also rent a bike from backpackers hill which we did.

There was a rat in the bathroom… Didn’t really make me sleep well!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The location is truly amazing — surrounded by beautiful nature, peaceful, and very relaxing. It was the perfect place to unwind. I would especially like to mention Jerome, who works there. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. When I got sick during the trip, Jerome went above and beyond to help and make sure I was okay. His support and kindness made a big difference, and we are very grateful. Thank you for such a great experience. We would definitely love to come back!

It was excellent and a lovely place to stay, the staff were so lovely especially Jerome and there are lovely animals. Although no air condition it never felt hot.

We really want to like this place. There is no warm water or AC but that was fine. But:

Apparently the place next to the resort keeps playing meditation music nearly 24-7. The high pitched sounds will not get filtered by noise cancelling headphones. It tortured us. We could not sleep for three nights. The Resort knows about this and told us that the guests always complain about this.

Lodge agréable mais il faut aimer dormir avec la nature et ses aléas (petites bêtes). Les logements sont tous dotés de moustiquaires Eau froide mais il fait bon donc ça fait du bien

Petit dej pas transcendant mais fait l'affaire (1 oeuf sur le plat, 2 tranches de pain de mie + confiture et café à volonté) Nous voulions commander 2 bières et 1 coca en arrivant mais ils n'avaient rien en stock Manque de rangement ou de quoi poser nos sacs.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour ici. Jérôme y a contribué pour beaucoup. Nous y reviendrons.

Tout d’abord l’accueil extrêmement chaleureux de Norma et de toute la famille ! La possibilité de réserver les excursions et de louer un scooter. Les hôtes sont très réactifs et aux petits soins. Le petit dej est suffisant pour démarrer la journée, avec en prime une vue sur le jardin rythmée au son des oiseaux. Mention spéciale pour Norma, qui m’a aidé à retrouver un objet oublié dans la hutte après notre départ pour El Nido.

Bien que très commun dans les pays de l’Asie de l’Est, les nuits sont bruyantes (chiens, coqs, cigales et groupe électrogène).

La owner alla reception veramente gentile, anche il ragazzo più giovane veramente cordiale. Abbiamo preso la moto per muoverci, il paese dista 15 min a piedi. Le casette veramente belle e tipiche. Colazione buona.

We had a wonderful stay at Backpackers Hill Resort. It is truly great value for money – you get so much for what you pay. The place is lovely, peaceful, and welcoming from the moment you arrive. What really makes this place special is the staff. They are the kindest and most friendly people you could ask for, always ready to help with a smile. A special thank you to Jerome – we didn’t just meet a staff member, we made a new friend. He made our stay even more memorable. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!

The owners were very welcoming and were always willing to help and give ideas on what to do. The balcony of our room was wonderful and could sit there all day enjoying the peace and surroundings.

Établissement au calme absolu. Simple mais efficace. Accueil irréprochable, malgré une arrivée à 23h55. Personnel d'une extrême gentillesse, toujours de bons conseils. Même la douche à l'eau froide était idéale !!!

Es alojamiento es muy lindo, no esperes lujo, es todo muy rústico, cama individual con mosquitero, pero cómodo, está a 15 min caminando del centro, y el camino es un poco oscuro , pero nada que no se pueda hacer con la linterna del celular, el desayuno son dos tostadas y huevo, hay café también. El personal super amable, y a disposición !! Excelente calidad precio, volvería sin duda.

Nous avons aimé les bungalows en bambou. Il y a des moustiquaires aux fenêtres et sur le lit c’est très appréciable le personnel est charmant le jardin est beau et bien entretenu.

Malheureusement Indépendamment de leur volonté certaines chambres sont plus exposés au « ronronnement » du générateur municipal.

Absolutely loved the hosts and the scenery where we were. Lots of plants and gorgeous greenery. The rooms were clean and basic but it was so nice to stay in a traditional Bahay Kubo.

Unfortunately (and this is out of the hosts control) the property behind the hostel has some noisy neighbours who were very antisocial and played music as early as before 5am and this would last for a couple of hours. Not ideal as none of us wanted to be awake at that time. However this has been an ongoing issue as I did raise this with the hosts who said their neighbours are unfortunately not very cooperative.

The staff was lovely, Jerome is one of the purest people that I’ve met.

The cottages were nice and cozy. People working here are also very attentive and helpful with everything you want or seek. The free breakfast is a nice touch while also getting free coffee and tea in the morning. In terms of value for money (which we were looking for) I think this is the sweet spot. We had a pleasant stay overall!

Only cold water and the water pressure was real low for the shower (dripping water only). Room can get pretty hot but during the night it will cool off enough to sleep well. We booked a room with a double bed but received one with 2 beds but since we arrived very late at night it wasn’t worth the hassle for us to change. Lastly, the resort is about 15 minutes of walking from town (a bit uphill and through a dirt road) but with the money you save on staying a but further from town, you can rent a moped for ‘free’. :)
