Nous n’avons ps apprécié le logement le deuxième soir car un intrus nocturne très bruyant s’y est infiltré nous empêchant de dormir. Le lagon, la raison de mon choix d’hôtel était fermé à cause des pluies mais j’aurais aimé savoir que le temps pouvait empêcher son ouverture. Sinon apart ça il n’y a rien de négatif à redire. Superbe

We loved the private waterfall dinner for our honeymoon, it such a nice night together- and the lagoon water was the most refreshing thing Ive ever swam in, which was so needed in the 36 degree heat. Wish we could've stayed longer.

J’ai rarement les mots pour décrire un hôtel, mais honnêtement, Avana Retreat est probablement le meilleur établissement que j’ai fait de toute ma vie. Tout était parfait de A à Z. J’ai passé un moment exceptionnel dans un cadre absolument sublime. La vue est époustouflante, la piscine est magnifique, le spa est incroyable, et il y a même une salle de sport très agréable. Franchement, je ne saurais même pas par où commencer tellement l’expérience était réussie. Ce qui m’a le plus marqué, c’est le niveau de détail et de réflexion derrière l’expérience client. On sent que tout a été pensé au millimètre près. À aucun moment je me suis dit : “Ah, il manque ça.” Tout est déjà là. Tout est fluide, beau, reposant et parfaitement orchestré. Le personnel était extrêmement sympathique et attentionné. La seule toute petite ombre au tableau, vraiment minuscule, c’est que la personne qui portait nos bagages ne souriait pas beaucoup. Mais honnêtement, ça ne change absolument rien à l’expérience globale. Et surtout, lorsque j’ai fait remonter l’information, cela a été pris en compte immédiatement avec beaucoup de professionnalisme. Je ne regrette absolument pas les quatre heures de route faites pour venir jusqu’ici. Cette expérience restera clairement comme l’une des meilleures de ma vie, et je reviendrai dans cet hôtel tôt ou tard, c’est une certitude.

This is a most beautifully designed jungle spa retreat where everything has been given so much thought. We had a two roomed villa with its own pool fashioned on a rice terrace and it was just magical. We also would have had magnificent views if it had not been so misty most of the time. The facilities in the resort are excellent especially the massages and spa complex. A real piece of heaven.

The resort is so far from anywhere that you have no choice but to eat at the Avana Restaurants. Whilst the food was ok, it did not live up to the standards of the resort itself. Many meals were just not that tasty. Whilst we loved the resort, after 4 days we were happy to leave.

What a dreamy 2 nights we spent here! It was very secluded, so I thought I would get bored, but we had plenty to do. The pool is amazing, the food (all meals, but especially the breakfast) was delightful, and the staff is incredibly helpful and kind. The batik painting and candle making (included in price) were fun with my daughter.

It was a splurge for us, so it would have been nice to be able to stay longer as it took so long to get there, but I can't complain!

Modern, clean, beautifully situated, very spacious rooms, quite good breakfast choices, amazingly helpful staff in all departments.

Very expensive. A 4 hr drive from Hanoi. Something they need to urgently consider: all common facilities such as eating area and spa are elevated and require multiple stone steps to be navigated. Yet nowhere are safety hand rails supplied. Also true of the showers. An easy, necessary safety fix. If they offered more activities, customers would likely stay longer.

Sehr isoliert. In der Umgebung gibt es nicht viel zu sehen ausser Natur.

מקום מושלם, ההגעה ארוכה כי נמצא ממש במעלה ההרים אבל שווה את המאמץ, ברגע שמגיעים ההרגשה שהגעתם למקום קסום האמצע טבע משגע , החדר גדול מאוד, במלון יש פינות מהממות ונופים מרהיבים, כמו המפלים והview point שצופה על שדות אורז ועל האיזור, האוכל טעים מאוד ויש מבחר גדול, עיסוי היה מעולה, מקום מושלם!!!

The location was absolutely amazing — the surroundings and landscape were truly out of this world, surrounded by pure nature. The room was very spacious and impeccably clean. The staff and service were genuinely five-star.

Unfortunately, while the food at the restaurant was genuinely very good, it was priced about 30–40% higher than comparable five-star hotels we experienced during our month-and-a-half trip across Vietnam, despite offering similar standards in service and food quality. On top of these already elevated prices, a service charge was added, and tips were also expected, which felt unusual in this context. Additionally, there were limited activities available during the day at the hotel. Getting around the property was somewhat inconvenient due to the many steep uphill and downhill pathways, making it difficult to move around without relying on a buggy — although the buggy service itself was very efficient and responsive. Altogether, this made the overall experience feel less aligned with the value, and for that reason, I wouldn’t be able to rate the stay a perfect 10.

Pobyt w Avana Retreat był naprawdę wyjątkowy. Czuliśmy spokój i dobrą energię. Było luksusowo, ale bardzo naturalne - wszystko jest tu dopracowane, a atmosfera sprzyja prawdziwemu odpoczynkowi. Ogromnie podobało nam się podwożenie gości meleksem po całym terenie resortu - zawsze szybko i z uśmiechem. Świetny jest też podgrzewany basen, a restauracja zasługuje na szczególne wyróżnienie. Jedzenie było znakomite. Bardzo miłym zaskoczeniem była liczba warsztatów i różnych drobnych atrakcji wliczonych w cenę pobytu. Dzięki temu cały pobyt był pełen małych niespodzianek. Na osobną pochwałę zasługuje SPA - zdecydowanie najlepsze, z jakiego korzystaliśmy w Wietnamie. To miejsce ma piękny klimat. Spokojne, dopracowane, z ogromną dbałością o gościa. Polecamy z całego serca!

One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I understand they decided to build this retreat where it is. Near the waterfall, with stunning views during the whole day. The rooms are just amazing. Everything is well organised, especially the electric little busses that pick you up at your room and bring you all over the retreat. The restaurant was great with wonderful food. The pool is the most beautiful place. We were so sad to leave.

It is far from the ethnic villages unfortunately but it forces you to enjoy the peace and calm of the place.

We loved the staff, they were so kind and caring.The area is our personal favorite because the view is stunning and they have a view point which is such a good spot to admire the hills and mountains.The breakfast was great, the menu had lot's of choices.The villas were beautiful, the bathroom was great it was clean and the bathtub is really big.The room is so spacious and so comfortable. For kids, there is a outdoor movie in the evening.We loved the pool because it was so warm even if it was cloudy.

The spa was expensive and the staff of the spa couldn’t really speak English so it was hard to communicate on options.The food at lunch and dinner disappointed us especially at the Cloud Pool Bar was not so local and the taste wasn't great .The outdoor movie is a little to late for kids because the movies are long and it starts at eight PM.The local tours are rather expensive. The buggy drivers was not very friendly.

Everything exceeded our expectations. The location, room, exceptional hotel staff, the beautiful setting. It could not have been more beautiful and relaxing. We were so happy with our stay and would gladly recommend

Wunderschönes Resort, die Villen liegen weit auseinander, der Pool ist sehr schön und vorallem beheizt und hat einen herrlichen Blick in die Landschaft, das Personal ist besonders freundlich, das Restaurant sehr gut und auch nicht überteuert und unser weiblicher Guide für den Nature Walk für fortgeschrittene war sehr sehr nett und auch lustig, wir wären sehr gerne länger geblieben und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt

A beautiful resort with stunning views and amazing grounds. The waterfall and streams running through the resort make it super relaxing. Staff were so helpful and kind. Rooms were spacious with lots of freebies included such as sodas, fruit juice and nuts all replenished daily. The resort had an effortless luxury feel and one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Still mining location with excellent staff. The trekking guides speak of the history, customs and plant life, making for a rich experience.

Le avana retreat est juste sublime ,les suites sont spacieuses et les extérieurs superbes . Un paradis sur terre il n 'y a rien à redire sauf que nous reviendrons . Le rapport qualité prix est exceptionnel pour une telle prestation. Bravo aux dirigeants d'avoir autant préserver la nature . Un lieu hors du temps comme on en trouve très peu dans le monde j 'en suis persuadée. Il y a souvent de magnifiques hôtels mais ici s'ajoute cascade ,lagon privé,views point,work shop , méditation,yoga non vraiment un lieu hors du temps .

The atmosphere in the restaurant / pool bar is non existent. It doesn’t need to be a party, but just sense of excitement where people might gather for a drink would be a welcome contrast to the peace and tranquility of the rest of the resort

Stunning location with beautifully designed villas in exceptional landscape with lovely, local staff who can’t do enough for you. The villas are beyond beautiful, with great attention to detail and clean to a very high standard.

The menu doesn’t change and is a little limited on vegetarian options. Having said this, it fits well with the ethos of the place and would feel inauthentic if it was too high end and highly westernised.

Absolutely loved the hospitality, friendly faces and smiles of all the staff members. The property itself was STUNNING! The views and the lush green forest was so sereine. Everything is so thoughfully and purposefully crafted. The food is soooo good. I loved that there were enough delightful options for vegetarians and meat lovers.

Honestly this property and the people managing it absolutely had no flaws.

INCREDIBLE! Attention to detail from check-in to check-out, beautiful setting, all ameneties one needs, delicious food, big and aesthetically pleasing rooms, a peaceful oasis!

The food is quite expensive but that being said, the quality is high and you pay for the setting too. Some of the staff couldn’t speak english (for example at the spa) which made interactions difficult at times.

I had the chance to visit many places in the world, but this one probably goes on top of my list. The scenery is amazing, the hotel is amazing, food is great, facilities and services are superb. Had one of the best massages I ever got in my life from extremely polite and professional staff. One of the highlights is the staff, extremely nice in accommodating every request we had and all of them with huge smiles on all of the time (receptionists, buggy drivers, pool staff, waitresses and chefs at the restaurants, cleaning staff, ALL of them). We had the best and most relaxing time we could even think of, this place will forever remain in our hearts. You truly get the value of the money spent and even more. Thank you Avana Retreat, in particular to the whole staff, for one of the best holiday we could wish for, we hope we can come back one day!

Avana retreat is a dream come true! Everything about this place is exceptional. The loaciton is stunning: wild jungle and beautiful rice fields, mountains and buzzing nature all around. The design, the quality of the bedding, the furniture, the food - everything is comletely thought through, and of the highest standard. Staff were caring and went above and beyond to make our stay a pampering delight. Staying at Avana is an experience we will never forget! It was really hard to leave this paradise! Thank you Avana!

We loved everything about it! The only thing we didn't like about it maybe is how far it is from Hanoi - although it is also part of its charm. We loved it all!

The highlight of the trip in Vietnam. Everything from the stay, the food, amenities/ spa and best of all the incredible staff - it was beyond our expectations. We felt that we had the most magical few days on the property.

beautiful oasis and perfect location to relax and unwind after a long road trip. friendly staff and dreamy spa in midst of the jungle. good treatments and a beautiful pool area. small but great gym with all the equipment you need. superb breakfast with local and western dishes and of course proper Vietnamese coffee upon request. Very quiet with beautiful nature sounds only, and the bungalows with a spacious terrace are set far enough apart to ensure privay.

Our stay was too short…

One of the most memorable hotels we have stayed in. So peaceful, stunning views, well organized. Wonderful itinerary of activities to try out. Can't recommend it enough.

I only booked one night at Avana Retreat for my boyfriend's birthday, as he needed a relaxing getaway—and the hotel absolutely delivered. It’s a true haven of peace. I visited during the winter, and while the rice fields might not be as lush and green as in the summer, the stunning landscapes still took my breath away. Plus, the off-season meant fewer tourists, allowing us to fully recharge and enjoy the privacy and tranquility we were seeking. My boyfriend tried the Avana Waterfall massage, and although it’s a budget, he said it was the best massage of his life. The rooms are luxurious, and we loved spending the night there. If we had more time and a bigger budget, we would have stayed longer. I also attended the Rattan-weaving workshop, which I really enjoyed. It’s included in the reservation, and I really appreciated doing this activity. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they went above and beyond by preparing a birthday cake for my boyfriend. It’s those little touches that make a big difference. I highly recommend Avana Retreat—it’s perfect for anyone in need of relaxation, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding service.

Honestly, I have no complaints—my only frustration is not being able to stay longer to experience all the amazing activities the hotel offers

The facilities are excellent; comfortable, spacious, excellent quality products. Fabulous food, including breakfast (a la carte from a very extensive menu when we visited), snacks, and restaurant meals. We enjoyed the happy hour drinks by the pool, which is heated. Great views. Buggy service was prompt, and all-round service. We took a full day trek. Our guide Vinh monitored our capacity and modified the walk accordingly. We enjoyed our time with him and that he shared his local knowledge with us. Transfers to and from Hanoi were very comfortable. We loved our stay, thankyou.

Not a criticism, but suggest if you have mobility issues, you advise the property beforehand. Also be aware the drive from Hanoi is quite long.

The property is very beautiful and set on a hillside. The pool is exceptional, as is the poolside happy hour (2 for 1) from 15:00-18:00. We did two different spa treatments- 60 min massage and the 90 min couples romance. They were more expensive than other massages in SE Asia but very good and the setting of the massage rooms is unparalleled. We stayed three nights and could easily have stayed more.

I would have liked to be able to customize some of the activities since they end up being private tours. Adding a bicycle activity would be great

This was the nicest hotel I think I've ever stayed in. Staff was warm and helpful. Breakfast fantastic and the vegetarian options yummy (the catfish special dish was amazing says my friend!). We enjoyed making batik and candles, visiting the spa, watching the ducks, visiting the different parts of the resort grounds, a village hike, photographing the plants and butterflies and just enjoyed being in a beautiful place with kind people and excellent service.
