Baan Bua Cottage

The tropical garden was beautiful, the room itself was spacious and comfortable. The deck area had a day bed to lay on in the late afternoon out of the heat of the day. The staff have that wonderful Thai hospitality with care in all areas. The property is located off the beach which we preferred as it was super quite, the garden was a refreshing out look. Our sleep was deep & restful, the aircon was quite, the room fridge was quite, the linens fresh soft and a joy to sleep in. This property is for those who don’t need all the fancy, modern sleek hotel, it’s designed around rest and retreat. Breakfast each morning was plentiful. We hired a scooter onsite for $300 tbh and spent our days touring the island. There is only one thing I’d highlight is our room came with a resident cat, it slept outside but during the day it loved to be with you, in the room relaxing. We didn’t mind at all, in fact we lived Gussy. We’d definitely stay here again, in fact I miss it already.

Mega leckeres Frühstück - von gutem Cappuccino übers Omelette bis zum Tuna-Sandwich blieben keine Wünsche offen. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Scooter konnten wir problemlos vor Ort mieten. Sehr schöne Gartenanlage, gemütliche Bubgalows. Alles absolut top, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir hatten insgesamt einen schönen Aufenthalt im Baan Bua Cottage auf Koh Kood. Die Anlage ist sehr idyllisch, besonders der liebevoll gepflegte Garten schafft eine ruhige und entspannte Atmosphäre. Das Personal war freundlich. Auch das Essen sowie das Frühstück war gut - besonders der Kaffee war wirklich hervorragend.

Die Betten sind recht klein und die Klimaanlage ist direkt über dem Bett angebracht, was nicht ganz optimal ist. Insgesamt finde ich, dass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis dadurch etwas hinter den sehr hohen Bewertungen zurückbleibt. Trotzdem ist es ein netter Ort für einen entspannten Aufenthalt, vor allem wenn man Wert auf eine schöne, ruhige Umgebung legt.

Le PDJ est très copieux et excellent. C’est un bon point de chute. Vous leur louez un scooter et faites les plages la journée .

What a beautiful place to stay. Lovely large spotless rooms and bathroom. Even had a bath! Stunning garden. Very peaceful location. Friendly and helpful staff. Really good breakfast with lots of options both western and Thai and really good fresh coffee. The restaurant also serves really good food in the evening. We hired a scooter and explored the island from Ban Buaa. I'm glad we stayed here away from the hustle and bustle of the beaches.

Einfach nur schöne, kleine Anlage mit üppigem Grün und liebem Personal! Leckeres Frühstück, alles mit Liebe hergerichtet, köstlicher Buttertoast, toller Kaffee! Süße Hotelkatzen, super sauber und charmant eingerichtet. Gemütliche Liegefläche vor den Hüttchen, alles top in Stand gehalten von der vor allem weiblichen Crew. Hier hat alles seine Ordnung und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Auch das kleine Fischerdorf nebenan und der Strand dort ist toll, man kann einfach runter laufen und findet alles was man braucht.

Etwas zum Aufhängen der nassen Badesachen wäre praktisch.

Absolutely everything. I cant stress enought how BEAUTIFUL everything was, from the kindness of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, space, restaurant, the location. Everything was so nice. The rooms are spacious, super clean, smelling so nice, comfortable beds. The food and breakfast at the restaurant was the BEST ive had in Thailand, just so so good. Also they rent scooters, very convenient. I got sick with food poisoning from eating out and the staff helped me so so much, they were the nicest and made sure i felt better and great. I hated leaving and cant wait to come back! IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT ABOUT BOOKING DONT BE. Book this place.

De ontzettend dure pizza. Bleek ingevroren en niet vers. Vies en uitgedroogd. Wat een teleurstelling tov het ontbijt

Einzelne Bungalows, die sehr schön in einem Garten gelegen sind, toll ausgestattet und total freundliches Personal! Roller können direkt vor Ort ausgeliehen werden. Das Restaurant bietet sehr gutes Essen an und das Frühstück ist phantastisch!

Tout, vraiment une PÉPITE...DIGNE d un grand hôtel.et très sympathique en plus, de bon conseils et toute l'équipe se met en 4 pour vos souhaits..location de scooter sur place quasi neuf. Le Petit déjeuner vaut un palace, vraiment...choix à la carte pour les oeufs...jus de fruits frais et non en brique, un énorme choix de fruits, et plats thaï, toasts, confiture. Enfin un vrai délice ce petit dej..thé et café machine espresso pas du soluble..et une très jolie présentation. Je met rarement un tel avis mais là.. vraiment c est mérité. Et l emplacement, à 2 min à pied d un très mignon village de pêcheurs sur pilotis et superbe plage avec massage s excellent.. Vraiment, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés et surtout rester au moins 4ou 5 jours sur place pour vraiment profiter de la plus belle île de Thaïlande à mon goût, elle est grande..

Schitterende tuin en alles goed onderhouden. Het straalt gezelligheid uit. De huisjes waren groot en schoon en het ontbijt was heerlijk.

Jammer dat er geen lekkere stoelen op het balkon stonden. Ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat ik er ook niet naar heb gevraagd.

Un environnement magnifique : végétation luxuriante bien maîtrisée - aménagement confortable - endroit calme. Petite structure très agréable avec petit déjeuner inclus (très varié et délicieux) qui offre la possibilité de prendre aussi le dîner (très bon également), de louer un scooter et autres services. Le personnel est très gentil et surtout très efficace et professionnel. L’accès à la plage n’est pas direct mais à quelques minutes à pieds.

Eine der schönsten Unterkünfte auf unserer Reise. Die Bungalows sowie der gesamte Rest der Anlage sind sehr schön angelegt. Alles ist sauber und stark auf Nachhaltigkeit bedacht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück sowie das Restaurant sind hervorragend. Durch das Mieten eines Rollers direkt in der Unterkunft konnten wir die gesamte Insel erkunden. Wir haben uns jederzeit wohlgefühlt und würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Allt! Väldigt fin bungalow, personalen var otroligt hjälpsam, läget utmärkt och frukosten fantastiskt god. Deras restaurang har superb thaimat och vi åt flera middagar där. Vi hyrde mopeder till bra pris och de hade tvätt service. Allt var toppen, kan varmt rekommenderas!

Die Anlage ist in einen liebevoll gepflegten, wunderschönen Garten eingebettet. Das Restaurant befindet sich auf einer Terrasse im Grünen. Das à-la-carte servierte Frühstück sowie das restliche Essen sind großartig – lecker, frisch und ansprechend dekoriert. Die Zimmer sind mit vielen liebevollen Details eingerichtet und blitzsauber. Auch das Badezimmer ist wunderschön gestaltet, ganz im thailändischen Stil.

All of the staff were wonderful, helpful and kind. The restaurant was first rate and the food was cooked, presented and served with care and love. The breakfast was exceptional and you could order whatever you wanted, and as much as you wanted from the menu. We ate dinner in the restaurant every night of our stay. The setting was even better than I thought. This really is a little peaceful haven, next to great harbour where we drank multiple coffees and watched the sunset, sitting on the jetty, every night.

Highly recommended! Lovely place surrounded by lush greenery and close to the fishing village. Great à la carte breakfast and excellent coffee. Friendly staff and new scooters available for rent at a fair price. Cozy, comfortable rooms; the bathroom is average and the small towels seemed slightly under-dried, but the stay was overall very pleasant.

Der wunderschöne Garten direkt vor den einzelnen Häusern ist so schön! Man hört und sieht den ganzen Tag Vögel, Insekten und Schmetterlinge. Sitzt aber auf der erhöhten Terrasse sehr bequem, sodass keine Tiere an einen kommen. Außer die süße Katze, die zur Unterkunft gehört, darüber haben wir uns sehr gefreut :-) Das Essen war sehr lecker, das Personal sehr freundlich, die Zimmer und die gesamte Anlage außerordentlich sauber!

Für unseren Geschmack waren die Matratzen zu hart, aber das empfindet ja jeder anders.

Wunderschöner Garten, sehr feines Essen, hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, wunderbares Frühstück, Rollerverleih, alles perfekt!

Hat keinen Fernseher, aber für mich nicht relevant

Frukosten var väldigt god och man fick välja från en meny. Mysigt och hemtrevligt boende med fin trädgård. Åt också middag som smakade väldigt bra och var prisvärd. Möjlighet till att hyra moppe och ta sig runt på ön. Gick att betala allt med kort vilket var bekvämt. Överlag ett mysigt boende!

Trädgården och växtligheten runt boendet gör att det är myggigt så ta myggmedel. Fint badkar ut mot floden men myggorna gör det lite obekvämt. Personalen, förutom en, var inte alls bra på engelska vilket gör det svårt att förstå varandra.

Nothing really, just one staff member that was unfriendly. She seemed miserable to be there and when we had an issue with the TV, she was not very nice about it. Never said a word to us.

I loved every minute here. The people are very lovely and attentive, the food is super good ( with lots of options, even Iced Matcha Latte with Oat milk!), the garden is a little paradise with Lotus and koi carp pond, orchids and other flowers. Huge and colorful butterflies are flying around. Although I was staying by myself and very few guests I never felt lonely here. The bungalow was nicely decorated and super clean. It‘s not luxury, but every detail causes the beautiful atmosphere. And the bungalow has a window to the rear with a view to a small river. You can rent scooter from them. Baan Bua Cottages are located near a small picturesque fishing village, which is nice to visit, but in rain season there was nothing open like café or restaurant. The nearby beach belongs or belonged to a resort which was not open at the time being there. As far as I understood you could go to this beach, but I preferred the Ao Taphao beach. And the best massage ever I got from Par Yoga Massage, 5 min by Scooter or a 15 min walk away.

Amazingly beautiful setting with cottages surrounded by lush tropical garden. Bungalows are spotless and well decorated. A 2 minute walk to the beach, and to a small fisherman village, a brief scooter ride to the falls. The restaurant is top notch, excellent Thai cuisine. We had a truly great stay.

Ambiente molto curato nei minimi dettagli con buon gusto. Molto particolare la composizione degli alloggi. Il giardino in cui sono immerse le casette è bellissimo. Il ristorante è molto buono e il personale gentile.

È sempre un po' difficile comunicare perché non capiscono molto l'inglese. La zona del bagno è molto calda e umida rispetto alla camera perché non c' è aria condizionata

Il Baan Bua Cottage è una perla incastonata nella natura, a pochissima distanza di scooter da tutti i posti più belli dell’isola. Posto perfetto per chi ama la natura, stare immerso nel verde, nella pace e nel silenzio assoluto. Ottima anche la colazione, ci abbiamo anche cenato una volta, molto buono. Sicuramente un posto dove tornerei! Attenzione solo a portarsi dietro tanto antizanzare, essendo immersi nella natura, servirà!

Everything. It was perfectly clean and well-designed. The room was incredibly comfortable and homely. The bathroom was clean and full of sounds from outside of the jungle. The grounds are beautiful and you feel very close to nature and the local environment. The breakfast was of a high quality and delicious. Everything was simple and straight forward - they also helped me when I forgot something in the room.

As other reviews have suggested, a couple of members of staff could be friendlier but just a personal preference.

Beautiful garden, delicious food not only breakfast but dinner too. Have laundry service too. There was an issue with my room and personnel went above and beyond to fix it super quick while i was away in a small island the effort and customer service is extremely important and handy and over here they care in all details even the room has thermal bottles so you can replenish them with water fountain as much times you need and a bag and clothes for beach so you can put it on top of your wet suimsuit. The cat guessy also became a guest in my room and we became friends. Owner is very passionate on having their hotel perfect but dont expect many smiles or chit chat, i am kinda use to this type of personality as i lived in regions where soviet union existed.

bring mosquito spray bug repellent for the island cause its quite raw island and atm in island are far so bring cash but hotel was amazing cause u can pay food with credit card or by the end of your stay.

Very nice location, could have been cleaner (bed sheets, towels). The garden is fantastic. The location is very good. You can also rent scooters directly. Breakfast is very good. The ladies at the reception and restaurant are super super nice.

The bathroom has a humid smell (not enough ventilation).

The cabins were clean and we got 2 adjoining cabins so our teenage daughter and us could each have our own space. Property was clean, the staff were great, very friendly and the food was very good. Included breakfast was great and well worth it. They had scooters for rent and even were able to take care of our laundry. Great stay

The location was good but not great. Nothing but one local beach was easy walking distance but that was negated by the scooter for rent. I would stay there again and in a way the location made for a more memorable experience driving around on the scooters everyday.

It’s truly a wonderful and serene place to unwind and find peace. The nights are especially calming, and I really appreciate the soothing atmosphere. I love soaking in the bathtub while listening to the gentle sound of the river in the background. It’s such a comforting environment to escape to. The kitchen was truly wonderful, and the breakfast was simply amazing as well. I really appreciated the care that went into it.

The perfect place to stay if you like peace and tranquility. Accommodation was excellent, the cottages have been designed by someone with a keen eye for detail, are exceedingly comfortable and very zen. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly and respectful. The owner is a lovely woman who also takes great care and pride in her garden, it is immaculate. Scooters available to hire which make getting around this beautiful island fun and easy, the roads are very safe. Owner happy to help with booking travel off the island. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Many thanks to the owner for a perfect stay 🏝️🌳🌻🌹🪻🧘🏻‍♀️🕊️

Excellent resort with home like feeling. Comfortable cottages and everything was thought for customer's best (beach carpet, etc.). Highly recommended.

Staff was incredibly friendly, breakfast was outstanding with many a la carte options from smoothie bowls, over eggs to Thai breakfast. The rooms were super cozy and well maintained with a beautiful bathroom. Bed super comfy and well loved the cats around the property. He have stayed in other accommodations on the island but this was by far our favourite. Would come back anytime.

Everything!! The accomodations were very clean. The garden was well maintained and beautiful. Breakfasts were fantastic and the lady who greeted us and who checked us in and served us dinner and breakfast was a one of a kind gem. Her sense of service and her demeanour was amazing…

The rooms are quite big and also the bed. The bathroom is really nice and everything is clean and nice. One of the cutest places we’ve been.

We had a fantastic stay at Baan Bua cottage and would highly recommend. The room was cleaned daily, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great. There was lots of choice for breakfast and every dish we had was delicious. We had dinner here every night too and enjoyed them all. Don’t be put off by not being beach facing, it’s well located and you can easily hire motorbikes. It’s also nice to come to a clean cottage after a day at the beach. They also helped sort mosquito nets (not that it’s really needed). Wish we could’ve stayed longer.
